Abstract

POLICY REVIEW IN DISASTER RISK REDUCTION EFFORTS IN BLITAR REGENCY, EAST JAVA Blitar Regency, located on the southern coast of Java Island, faces high disaster risk due to its geographical position bordering the Indian Ocean, the presence of the still-active Mount Kelud, and its hilly terrain. Revisiting disaster risk reduction policies in Blitar Regency is therefore essential. This study employs a qualitative approach using document analysis to examine disaster management policies at the international, national, and local levels. The analysis focuses on international policy frameworks such as the SFDRR and SDGs, as well as the implementation of national policies in accordance with the Disaster Management Law. The results indicate that policies in Blitar Regency have adopted principles from international and national frameworks, but require further strategic adjustments tailored to local conditions to enhance disaster risk reduction effectiveness. These findings form the basis for formulating policy strategies aligned with international, national, and local frameworks to address disaster threats in Blitar Regency.

Abstract

North Lombok Regency is an area highly prone to multi-hazard disasters such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, and tsunamis. This condition requires strong preparedness, including within Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) as educational and residential institutions. Nurul Hakim Islamic Boarding School faces several challenges, including low awareness and understanding of disaster risks, limited resources, and the absence of systematic disaster education in its learning activities. This community service program was conducted at Nurul Hakim Islamic Boarding School, North Lombok, aiming to enhance students’ knowledge, skills, and awareness of disaster preparedness through the implementation of the Safe School Program (Satuan Pendidikan Aman Bencana—SPAB). The program was carried out in four stages: preparation and socialization, training and practice, mentoring and evaluation, and advocacy for sustainability. The results showed an improvement in participants’ average scores from 6.14 (pre-test) to 6.88 (post-test), indicating better understanding of disaster preparedness. Participants also demonstrated practical skills in mapping evacuation routes and understanding emergency response procedures. The advocacy activities fostered cross-sector commitment to integrating SPAB into the school’s routine programs. These findings imply that an educational and participatory approach effectively strengthens pesantren capacities in disaster preparedness. In conclusion, SPAB implementation contributes to building disaster-resilient Islamic boarding schools through collective awareness and institutional collaboration

Abstract

Data were collected from various academic databases using keywords such as "employee performance," "service quality," "number of patients," "patient volume," "artificial intelligence in healthcare," "social media in healthcare," "patient acquisition," and "patient retention." Most of the reviewed studies used quantitative methods, applying statistical tools such as linear regression analysis. The results indicate that social media and AI influence performance and the number of visits. This review highlights the need for healthcare facilities to utilize social media and AI to improve employee and patient performance. Future research should explore the relationship between social media and AI, as the digital era challenges every organization to be more creative and innovative in order to stay up-to-date

Abstract

Burnout is prevalent among radiology professionals and has been consistently linked to increased self-reported medical errors in various healthcare settings. However, direct evidence connecting burnout measured by the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) to diagnostic errors in radiology image interpretation is lacking. This systematic review highlights an inferential gap due to the absence of studies simultaneously assessing MBI-measured burnout and objectively measured diagnostic errors in radiology. The strongest available evidence from prospective longitudinal studies in non-radiology populations demonstrates a bidirectional, dose-dependent association between burnout domains and perceived medical errors. Given the cognitive demands of radiological interpretation and the documented impact of burnout on cognitive functions, future research should directly evaluate this relationship within radiology professionals, incorporating relevant contextual moderators to inform targeted interventions aimed at improving patient safety.
