Abstract

Training of Trainers (TOT) Digital Public Relations (DPR) aims to improve the quality of public relations in institutions. The digital age has changed the way we communicate and interact, thus making Digital PR very important. TOT Digital PR provides PR practitioners with the understanding and skills to operate in a digital environment. The program also focused on developing instructional skills. The results of this training successfully provided participants with the ability to manage public relations in the digital era. The training encouraged the improvement of institutional public relations and the use of DPR for more effective communication. As such, TOT DPR assists institutions in utilizing more competent human resources in the ever-evolving digital age.

Abstract

Training on the application of digital media streaming video using the vMix application at the UPTD BTIKP of the South Sumatra Disdik is a strategic step to meet the demands of the times in educational development. Involving employees, the training aims to improve their understanding and skills in implementing video streaming technology. Using a structured method, including an introduction, demonstration of the vMix application, individual practical sessions, discussions, and presentation of results, the training successfully provided participants with in-depth understanding and technical skills. The results include improved employee competencies in vMix implementation, creating the basis for a more innovative and technologically-adaptive education transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a feasibility test on a Web-Based Interactive Writing Assessment (WISSE) that has been designed to assist students and teachers of Academic Writing classes by facilitating feedback provision online. WISSE was created to align with the requirements of the OBE curriculum. During this study, feedback about WISSE was gathered to enhance its feasibility and readiness. Trials focused on evaluating media aspects (usability, functionality, visual communication) and linguistic aspects (technical language, grammar, word choice). Quantitative and qualitative data were employed. The quantitative data were obtained through a material validation questionnaire and media validation using a rating scale on the quality of the media obtained from the objective assessment of media experts and linguists. The qualitative data were obtained from the feedback of media experts and linguists on the quality of the media provided in the comment column on the questionnaire. This data serves as a consideration in revising the product for the website’s view and feasibility. the results of the expert test indicate that the web-based interactive learning assessment product, WISSE, is feasible for use, although revisions based on feedback from media and language experts are necessary before piloting it to a wider audience.

Abstract

Goodday Garden merupakan salah satu UMKM yang bergerak dibidang pertanian. Permasalahan yang terjadi di UMKM ini adalah pelayanan penjualan yang masih menggunakan sistem manual. Penelitian ini mengkaji penggunaan React native sebagai solusi untuk pengembangan aplikasi mobile lintas platform pada UMKM Goodday Garden Palembang. Keterbatasan aplikasi native yang hanya berjalan pada satu platform mendorong kebutuhan akan pendekatan yang lebih fleksibel dan efisien. Dengan menggunakan metode prototipe, penelitian ini mengembangkan aplikasi penjualan sambil mengevaluasi kemudahan pembelajaran, kesederhanaan struktur kode, dan kemampuan lintas platform dari React native. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa React native memungkinkan proses pengembangan yang lebih cepat dan efisien, dengan aplikasi yang berjalan pada sistem operasi Android. Pengujian black box dan Robustness Test menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan pengguna yang tinggi, menegaskan potensi React native sebagai alat pengembangan aplikasi mobile yang andal. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan baru tentang pengembangan aplikasi mobile yang lebih adaptif dan ekonomis

Abstract

Translanguaging has increasingly been used in English classrooms to symbolize a movement away from native-speakerism in the growing multilingual society. In translanguaging classroom contexts, students are evaluated on their ability to use their whole language repertoire to express what they know and can do in classroom tasks. Four principles of translanguaging in assessment are provided as guidelines. However, many classroom translanguaging studies barely address how the four principles are employed. This study explores teachers’ experiences in performing assessments in classroom translanguaging in relation to the four principles of translanguaging assessment to propose recommendations for translanguaging classrooms at the university level. Classroom observations and interviews were conducted with five teachers of an English department at a university in Indonesia. A thematic analysis performed on the data demonstrated that the teachers’ assessments had accommodated the different voices in assessment, the use of other people and other resources, and the authenticity of the tasks. However, the distinction between general linguistic and language-specific performances was not carried out. Another theme emerged – shared language among interlocutors. Recommendations covering improving teachers’ knowledge about pedagogical translanguaging, how to design translanguaging assessments, and how to manage the assessment are made to facilitate good alignment between classroom translanguaging instructions and assessments to maximize students’ learning benefits.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sebuah aplikasi sistem penggajian karyawan berbasis web pada CV Indah Jaya Motor Palembang. Sistem ini dikembangkan untuk mengotomatisasi seluruh proses penggajian, mulai dari pencatatan data kehadiran, perhitungan gaji, hingga pembuatan slip gaji secara digital. Selain itu, aplikasi ini juga dilengkapi dengan fitur pendukung seperti manajemen data pegawai, pelaporan kehadiran, dan pelaporan gaji. Proses perancangan sistem digambarkan melalui pemodelan menggunakan Data Flow Diagram (DFD), flowchart, serta Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD). Implementasi sistem dilakukan dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan basis data MySQL. Diharapkan aplikasi ini dapat meningkatkan efisiensi, akurasi, dan transparansi dalam pengelolaan penggajian karyawan di perusahaan terkait

Abstract

This Community Service Activity aims to provide knowledge about mobile applications for queuing systems that are expected to make it easier for patients who will check their health or seek treatment at the Health Center. The methods used in this activity include interview methods with the Health Center to find out the source of the problem that is the basis for this community service activity. Furthermore, a socialization method is carried out, where in this socialization activity an explanation will be given to both the Health Center and patients about the use of the application that will be designed. The results of this activity are socialization regarding the Mobile application for the patient queuing system along with socialization of the procedures for using the application. Where after the implementation of this activity is carried out, the application that will be designed will make it easier for patients and patients no longer need to sit and queue for a long time when going to the Sako Health Center for treatment.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan guru SMAN 18 Palembang dalam memanfaatkan Google Sheets sebagai media pengolahan data online untuk siswa/i ekstrakurikuler tari. Pengolahan data yang akurat dan efisien penting untuk mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran dan administrasi. Pelatihan dirancang untuk mengenalkan fitur Google Sheets yang relevan, seperti pengolahan data, kolaborasi online, dan analisis sederhana guna mengelola absensi, jadwal latihan, penilaian, dan prestasi siswa. Metode pelatihan meliputi presentasi, demonstrasi, dan praktik mandiri dengan pendampingan. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh lima guru ekstrakurikuler. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa peserta mampu memahami serta menerapkan keterampilan dasar hingga menengah dalam menggunakan Google Sheets. Guru juga dapat membuat sistem pencatatan yang terstruktur dan berbasis cloud, sehingga data mudah diakses kapan saja. Diharapkan Google Sheets dapat diadopsi sebagai alat utama dalam pengelolaan data untuk meningkatkan efisiensi kerja serta mendukung proses belajar-mengajar di era digital.

Abstract

This paper aims to investigate the user experiences of Web-based Integrated Writing Assessment (WISSE) developed to help lecturers and learners provide and navigate feedback for academic writing in English. User experience is one of the crucial elements for product success and reception in Research and Development (R & D). Aspects of user experience highlighted in this study are web features, ease of use, and design. The participants involved were two lecturers and twenty-eight learners from the English Language Education and the English Literature study program at one of the prominent universities in Malang. At first, both learners and lecturers created a temporary account on the web prototype, and they were assigned two different roles: learners wrote and submitted a short argumentative essay on the application, and lecturers provided feedback on the essays through a personal comment box. At the end of the trial, both groups revealed their experience and inputs on the features, operation accessibility, and web design through questionnaires. To a large extent, both lecturers and learners were satisfied with the goal of the application to provide easy accessibility to assessing academic text. However, both groups agreed that more distinctive features should be added, along with a manual book and language switch feature, as it is attainable that the future users of WISSE will not be limited to EFL learners. The user trial results illustrate that while WISSE needs further development and revision, it exhibits proper performance and is prepared for large-scale use.
