Abstract

The behavior of investment decisions began to attract the attention of academics internationally. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of behavioral finance by applied variable overconfidence, representativeness, mental accounting, loss aversion and herding on investment decisions. The total sample collected and used in the study amounted to 203 respondents in Batam City and analyze using multiple linear regression method. The result showed that overconfidence, mental accounting, and herding have a significant positive effect on investment decisions, while the representativeness and loss aversion variables doesn’t affect investment decisions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the stock market conditions of IDX and SGX due to the influence of COVID 19. Through a regression analysis study method to see the condition of stock returns on companies in IDX and SGX. These two countries were taken as the focus of the study considering the closeness of business relationships and the highest number of COVID 19 cases in the Southeast Asia Region. The researcher concludes that the IDX is more sensitive to the increase confirmed case of COVID 19 and the SGX is more sensitive to the increase deaths cases of COVID 19. The conclusion of this study is that the threat of COVID 19 will have a different effect on investor behavior in each country, this could be due to the influence of differences between cultural values and characteristics. Like other studies, this study also has limitations that have not carried out a fixed effect on the two countries and recommendations to increase the number of samples from other ASEAN countries to make results that can be generalized in ASEAN.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationships between gender diversity in the board of directors and firm performance. It also uses several control variables: education, age, tenure, board size, board meeting, firm size, firm age, and leverage. We examine the relationship between variables with several methods, such as descriptive statistic methods, correlation tests, t-tests, and hypothesis testing on 29 LQ45 companies from 2016-2020. Our finding shows that gender diversity on the board of directors significantly negatively impacts firm performance. Despite the negative research results, we still recommend that companies increase gender diversity on the board of directors because many studies state a positive relationship between gender diversity on the board of directors and firm performance. In addition, the small number of women on the board of directors is less capable of positively affecting company performance, whereas, in this study, the number of women in each company each year is relatively small. The limitations of this study are that the number of years studied is only five years and the measurement of gender diversity only uses one proxy.

Abstract

Internet merupakan sarana yang dapat diakses dan dimiliki oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat, yang tentunya memiliki pengaruh baik dan buruk ke masyarakat. Di zaman sekarang, tentunya kita menjadi sangat mudah mengakses internet karena zaman sudah semakin canggih, namun yang menjadi pengaruhnya tentu saja berawal dari bijaknya pengguna dalam mengakses internet tersebut. Oleh karena itu, kita perlu melakukan suatu pergerakan yang dapat mendorong masyarakat untuk bijak dalam penggunaan internet sehingga terbentuklah kebiasaan masyarakat dalam menggunakan internet yang sehat dan aman. Karena hal tersebut, kami melakukan suatu sosialisasi dan membuat video edukasi tentang penggunaan internet yang sehat dan aman untuk sekolah SMKS Pembangunan Tanjungpinang sebagai upaya dalam membentuk suatu komunitas yang bijak dalam berinternet di kalangan sekolah tersebut. Pelaksanaan sosialisasi dilaksanakan secara daring via Zoom dengan dipartisipasi oleh siswa/i kelas X. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode observasi dan wawancara terhadap pihak Kepala Sekolah di SMKS Pembangunan Tanjungpinang. Proses sosialiasi dan pembuatan video edukasi tergolong pelaksanaan yang cukup lancar, dengan adanya kendala yang tidak berpengaruh terhadap keseluruhan implementasi ini. Semua permasalahan telah teratasi dengan baik sehingga semua materi dan nilai dapat tersampaikan dengan baik kepada siswa/I SMKS Pembangunan Tanjungpinang.

Abstract

Properti dikenal sebagai bisnis yang dapat menjamin tidak akan pernah musnah yang disebabkan oleh kebutuhan akan tempat tinggal bagi setiap manusia untuk dapat bertahan hidup. Berinvestasi pada saham properti merupakan salah satu minat investor untuk kepentingan investasinya, karena besarnya peluang keuntungan yang akan diperoleh di masa yang akan datang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh nilai tukar, return on assets dan total assets turnover terhadap harga saham properti 2018-2020. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai tukar dan return on assets (ROA) tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap harga saham properti periode 2018-2020. Total asset turnover (TATO) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap harga saham properti periode 2018-2020. Mempertahankan total asset turnover (TATO) yang baik akan membantu kinerja harga saham bekerja lebih baik.

Abstract

This study discusses the relationship between world oil prices, political stability and interest rates on exchange rates in Indonesia which is analyzed using monthly time series data for 2010-2020 and processed using the E-Views application and tested with multiple linear regression. After research, it was found that world oil prices have a negative and significant effect on the exchange rate, political stability has a positive and significant effect on the exchange rate, while interest rates have no significant relationship with the exchange rate. Meanwhile, based on the results of the tests carried out, the variables of world oil prices, political stability and interest rates have a proportion of 56% in explaining the exchange rate as the dependent variable, while the remaining 44% is influenced by other variables outside of this research variable. Investors and international economic actors must be able to paying attention to world oil prices and political stability in predicting changes in exchange rates. The government as a policy maker have to maintain crude oil supplies, maintain political stability, and control interest rates to maintain exchange rates stability

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of determining the relationship between intellectual capital (IC), categorized in five subconstructions- namely, relational capital (RC), process capital (PrC), human capital (HC), technological capital , innovation capital (Innc), and business performance in the manufacturing industry. The sample from this study is a manufacturing company of the consumer goods industry sector registered with IDX. The findings of this study explain that there are three variables, namely HC, RC, and technological capital, which have no effect on company performance while the other two variables, namely InnC and PrC, have a significant positive influence on company performance. Data resource constraints are the main limitations in the process of making this research, because some companies do not fully explain their financial statements, moreover, the study is limited to manufacturers in the consumer goods sector, and it spans only five years.

Abstract

Abstrak Perkembangan Financial Technology dalam beberapa tahun terakhir meningkat sangat pesat. Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, perkembangan teknologi juga ikut serta di dalamnya. Teknologi yang semakin canggih dan praktis juga bermunculan, seperti financial technology. Dengan adanya Fintech ini, masyarakat pelosok juga dapat menggunakan layanan keuangan berbasis teknologi tanpa harus menempuh jarak jauh untuk mendapatkan layanan keuangan. Financial Technology adalah teknologi atau inovasi yang disempurnakan oleh bidang finansial sehingga transaksi keuangan bisa diterapkan secara efisien, mudah, dan rasional. Tujuan utama Financial Technology adalah untuk menggerakkan ekstensif keuangan dan juga membantu pemerintah dalam seluruh aspek penyajian keuangan. Saat ini sudah banyak penelitian tentang Financial Technology di bidang perbankan dan keuangan, namun kajian yang dilakukan dalam konteks syariah masih sangat terbatas di bidang perbankan khususnya di negara Indonesia ini. Oleh karena itu, kami ingin meneliti Financial Technology di sektor syariah dan mengetahui sikap pengguna terhadap penerapan Financial Technology di perbankan syariah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menyebarkan kuesioner melalui Google Forms. Hasil pengolahan data dari Smart PLS menemukan bahwa pengetahuan dan norma subjektif berpengaruh signifikan terhadap niat berperilaku. Kata Kunci: Intention to adopt FinTech; Attitude; Awareness; Knowledge; Subjective Norms Abstract The development of Financial Technology in recent years has increased very rapidly. Along with the times, technological developments also participate in it. Technology that is increasingly sophisticated and practical has emerged, such as financial technology. With this Fintech, remote communities can also use technology-based financial services without having to travel long distances to get financial services. Financial Technology is a technology or innovation that is enhanced by the financial sector so that financial transactions can be implemented efficiently, easily, and rationally. The main objective of Financial Technology is to drive extensive finance and also assist the government in all aspects of financial presentation. Currently, there are a lot of research on Financial Technology in banking and finance, but the studies conducted in the context of sharia are still very limited in the banking sector, especially in this country of Indonesia. Therefore, we want to research Financial Technology in the Islamic sector and to know the attitudes of users towards the application of Financial Technology in Islamic banking. This research was using a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires through Google Forms. The results of data processing from Smart PLS found that knowledge and subjective norms have a significant effect on behavioral intentions. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study examines female independent commissioners' effect on intellectual capital. The population and research sample are companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with the Kompas 100 index in the 2014-2020 period. The research data used secondary data and purposive sampling data collection methods. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation, regression, and robustness tests. This study concludes that female independent commissioners significantly positively affect intellectual capital.  Female commissioners have a high potential to influence the creation of value for the company. It is necessary to increase the opportunity for women to occupy the position of commissioner or independent commissioner, in addition to gender equality and practical and optimal supervision. Therefore, in appointing new commissioners, the board of commissioners needs to consider the company's operational mechanism, whether it is a company operating in the technology orientation sector or the development stage, and consider the individual candidates for commissioners based on previous experiences.ABSTRAKPenelitian bertujuan untuk meneliti pengaruh komisaris independen wanita terhadap modal intelektual. Populasi dan sampel penelitian berupa perusahaan-perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dengan indeks Kompas 100 pada periode 2014-2020. Data penelitian menggunakan data sekunder dan metode pengumpulan data purposive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji korelasi, uji regresi dan robustness test. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa komisaris independen wanita berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap modal intelektual. komisaris wanita mempunyai potensi tinggi mempengaruhi penciptaan value bagi perusahaan. Implikasi manajerial penelitian ini adalah peningkatan kesempatan bagi wanita dalam menduduki posisi komisaris atau komisaris independen perlu dilakukan disamping kesetaraan gender juga adanya pengawasan yang efektif dan optimal. Oleh karena itu, dalam pengangkatan komisaris baru perlu mempertimbangkan mekanisme operasional perusahaan apakah termasuk perusahaan yang beroperasi pada sektor orientasi teknologi atau tahap pengembangan serta dipertimbangkan individu dari calon komisaris berdasarkan pengalaman-pengalaman sebelumnya.

Abstract

Salah satu bentuk produk fintech adalah E-Wallet yang merupakan media virtual untuk pembayaran dan penyimpanan uang. Gen Z merupakan salah satu generasi yang paling banyak menggunakan teknologi, termasuk penggunaan E-Wallet dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Keberadaan technostress dalam inovasi teknologi terkadang berdampak negatif terhadap penggunaan fintech. Maka, dilakukan penelitian pada komunitas Gen Z di Batam untuk mengukur faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi niat menggunakan fintech seperti E-Wallet dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode partial least square yang mengolah data kuesioner untuk menguji validitas dan hasil penelitian. Di mana ditemukan bahwa complexity dan invasion memiliki efek negatif pada niat. Sementara itu, overload dan uncertainty memiliki efek sebaliknya.
