Abstract

Research Originality:  This study examines the relationship between ESG and Islamic stocks under the exceptional circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. Researchers included the stock volatility and involved policy stringency, extending the recent literature focusing on accounting-based performance.Research Objectives: This study examines the relationship between ESG practices and Islamic stock performance during the COVID-19 pandemic.Research Methods: This study applied panel regression analysis. Researchers used Shariah-compliant stocks with ESG scores ranging from 2020 to 2022, resulting in 96 observations.Empirical Results: This study posits the ability of Social and Governance practices to reduce market volatility. The stringency of COVID-19 significantly affected stock volatility, highlighting the importance of government intervention during the Pandemic.Implications: These findings support the need for implementing measures and regulations that incentivize companies to adopt comprehensive ESG practices, which are expected to contribute to stock market stability, particularly during turbulent times.JEL Classification: J6, M2, O3How to Cite:Agustin, I. Abstract

Technological advancements affect an individual's financial management by increasing spending and necessitating investments to meet these needs. This research intends to analyze the effect of heuristic bias and loss aversion on investment decision. This study uses the investment decision variable to be the dependent variable and uses overconfidence, availability, representativeness, anchoring, gambler fallacy, and loss aversion to be the independent variables. This study uses the SmartPLS application to analyze data and uses an online questionnaire to collect respondents' answers. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling technique to collect samples from investors in Batam. The study shows that gambler fallacy, loss aversion, overconfidence and representativeness bias have a significant positive impact on investment decisions, while anchoring and availability bias have no significant impact on investment decisions.

Abstract

Changes in economic conditions both domestically and internationally can have an impact on exchange rate stability. In this case, fluctuations in exchange rates are not only influenced by the law of supply and demand for foreign exchange in the market, but changes in market expectations also affect it. The research was conducted to determine the effect of several macro variables on the rupiah exchange rate. This research was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis method. The results of the study indicate that the macro variables that affect the rupiah exchange rate such as money supply, foreign exchange reserves, inflation and interest rates are different but significant.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPeningkatan produksi otomotif di Indonesia berdampak pada pengunaan energi yang berlebihan dan mengancam kelestarian lingkungan melalui polusi udara dan efek rumah kaca. Penelitian ini menginvestigasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi minat beli (Purchase Intention) terhadap kendaraan listrik dan kendaraan hybrid di Kota Batam. Faktor-faktor yang diteliti meliputi Perceived Behavioral Control, Moral Norm, Environmental Concern, Trust, Subjective Norm, dan Attitude. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei kepada responden di Kota Batam. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa Perceived Behavioral Control, Moral Norm, Environmental Concern, dan Trust memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dan positif terhadap minat beli kendaraan listrik dan kendaraan hybrid. Namun, Subjective Norm dan Attitude tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap minat beli di kalangan masyarakat Kota Batam. Selain itu, Attitude tidak berperan sebagai mediator dalam hubungan antara Subjective Norm dan minat beli. Temuan ini memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi minat beli kendaraan ramah lingkungan di Kota Batam dan dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan kebijakan promosi dan pemasaran kendaraan listrik dan hybrid.Kata Kunci: Kendaraan Listrik, Minat Beli, Kendaraan Hybrid.ABSTACTThe increase in automotive production in Indonesia has resulted in excessive energy use and threatens environmental sustainability through air pollution and the greenhouse effect. This study investigates the factors influencing Purchase Intention toward electric and hybrid vehicles in Batam City. The factors under investigation include Perceived Behavioral Control, Moral Norm, Environmental Concern, Trust, Subjective Norm, and Attitude. Data were collected through surveys of respondents in Batam City. The results of data analysis indicate that Perceived Behavioral Control, Moral Norm, Environmental Concern, and Trust have a significant and positive influence on the purchase intention of electric and hybrid vehicles. However, Subjective Norm and Attitude do not have a significant influence on purchase intention among the residents of Batam City. Furthermore, Attitude does not mediate the relationship between Subjective Norm and purchase intention. These findings provide a better understanding of the factors affecting the purchase intention of environmentally friendly vehicles in Batam City and can be used to develop promotion and marketing policies for electric and hybrid vehicles.Keywords: Electric Vehicles, Purchase Intention, Hybrid Vehicles.

Abstract

ABSTRAKDalam era teknologi dan perkembangan sosial yang pesat saat ini, penggunaan teknologi komunikasi seperti smartphone dan akses internet semakin meluas. Fenomena ini juga menciptakan peluang baru dalam dunia bisnis, terutama dalam bentuk Social Commerce. Social Commerce menggabungkan media sosial dengan pembelian produk secara online, yang memungkinkan interaksi antara penjual dan konsumen, serta berbagai faktor yang memengaruhi keputusan pembelian. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi minat beli masyarakat melalui Social Commerce di Kota Batam. Faktor-faktor yang diteliti meliputi Brand Image, Product Quality, Social Media Influence, Social Media Marketing, Attitude, dan Trust. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda dengan alat bantu perangkat lunak statistik. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan semua faktor tersebut memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap niat beli konsumen melalui Social Commerce di Kota Batam. Selain itu, Trust juga memediasi hubungan antara Social Media Marketing dan niat beli. Studi ini memberikan wawasan yang penting bagi perusahaan yang ingin memanfaatkan Social Commerce sebagai saluran penjualan yang efektif.Kata Kunci: Citra Merek, Minat Beli, Perdagangan Sosial.ABSTACTIn the rapidly evolving world of technology and social development, the use of communication technology such as smartphones and internet access is expanding. This study aims to identify the factors influencing the purchase intention of people through Social Commerce in Batam City. The factors studied include Brand Image, Product Quality, Social Media Influence, Social Media Marketing, Attitude, and Trust. The analysis method used is multiple regression analysis with the assistance of statistical software. The results show that all these factors have a positive and significant impact on consumers' purchase intention through Social Commerce in Batam City. Furthermore, Trust also mediates the relationship between Social Media Marketing and purchase intention. This study provides valuable insights for companies looking to leverage Social Commerce as an effective sales channel.Keywords: Brand Image, Purchase Intention, Social Commerce.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of intellectual capital on the financial performance of Indonesian companies engaged in the energy sector. This study is a causal-comparative study with company performance as the dependent variable, and intellectual capital efficiency (ICE) as the independent variable consisting of human capital efficiency (HCE), structural capital efficiency (SCE), relational capital efficiency (RCE), and capital employed efficiency (CEE). This study also uses two control variables, i.e. leverage and size. The sample studied was 21 Indonesian companies listed in the energy sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) which were obtained through the purposive sampling method. This study uses secondary data in the form of the company's annual financial reports for five years (2016-2020). The data were analyzed using the panel data regression analysis method, and the results of the analysis found that the independent variable that had a significant and positive effect on company performance was relational capital efficiency (RCE) while the influence of other variables was found to be insignificant.

Abstract

The rapid growth of investment activities in national and international capital markets has significantly increased the number of investors competing for financial stability. Each investor has different investment decision-making preferences, influenced by various internal and external factors. This study focuses on internal factors in the form of demographic characteristics of local investors, such as gender, risk tolerance, religiosity, and income, complemented by financial literacy as a moderating variable. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the extent to which these factors can influence investment decision-making in international capital markets, which tend to be more complex. The research data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 280 respondents who are active investors in the Indonesian capital markets. Using the PLS-SEM analysis method, the results show that gender, risk tolerance, income, and financial literacy have a significant positive influence on investment decisions in international capital markets. Additionally, religiosity also has a positive but insignificant influence. Financial literacy as a moderating variable also tends to have a dominant negative and insignificant effect in strengthening the relationship between variables.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and green innovation on corporate financial performance. Using purposive sampling, the research examines a sample of 126 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2018 to 2022. Data were collected from the sample companies annual reports. Employing regression analysis to analyze the data, this study finds that CSR and green innovation positively affect financial performance. Companies that actively engage in CSR initiatives are more likely to implement environmentally friendly innovations. This study also found that green innovation mediates the relationship between CSR and financial performance. Consequently, prioritizing CSR fosters green innovation, which, in turn, improves financial performance through increased efficiency, corporate reputation, and market opportunities. This study provides valuable insights for managers and practitioners, highlighting the strategic role of CSR in strengthening financial performance through green innovation.

Abstract

The research investigates the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on stock returns in the mining sector of Indonesia. The study examines data from financial reports and annual reports of 37 Indonesian companies listed on the stock exchange between 2017 and 2021. The research measures stock return using various factors, including corporate social responsibility, firm age, firm size, return on equity (ROE), and return on assets (ROA). The results reveal that there is a significant positive relationship between ROA and stock return. However, firm age shows a significant negative relationship with stock return, whereas firm size, ROE, and CSR do not have a significant effect. The research findings contribute to the existing literature by suggesting that in Indonesia, investors do not consider CSR as a key factor when making investment decisions since they are not particularly interested in the CSR activities undertaken by companies.

Abstract

CV Citra Selaras menghentikan penyusunan laporan keuangan formal sejak 2020 akibat krisis kepercayaan internal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kondisi pencatatan keuangan saat ini dan merumuskan langkah strategis untuk membangun kembali sistem pelaporan yang akuntabel. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara, observasi, dan pelatihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen mulai menyadari pentingnya laporan keuangan serta menunjukkan minat untuk mengintegrasikan sistem digital yang ada dengan pelaporan berbasis SAK-ETAP. CV Citra Selaras dinilai memiliki potensi untuk menerapkan kembali pelaporan keuangan secara sistematis dengan dukungan peningkatan literasi akuntansi dan struktur organisasi yang memadai.
