Abstract

Allah SWT told us  that in the story of the assabiquunal awwalun  there were lessons learned for the thinking people, which is able to contemplate the stories, finding her wisdom and advice, as well as digging of the stories are life lessons and instructions. Story method is one of God ways in educating and teaching people. This is in line with the conditions that psychologically human loves stories. Hopefully using story methods, we can deliver educational messageseffectively without anyone feeling patronized. In Qur'an, Allah tells examples (uswah hasanah)and lessons (ibrah)for all of us through the stories of the Prophet, figures, and the earlier people.  By referring to the stories found in Qur'an, we can conclude that the Qur'an is a way of life that explains the life of past, present and future. The Qur'an also teach us about the educational value of monotheism, intellectual, moral / moral, sexual, spiritual, democracy.

Abstract

Background: Pada Penilaian Akhir Semester (PAS) maupun Penilaian Akhir Tahun (PAT), setiap Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) wajib merujuk pada aturan-aturan yang ditetapkan oleh Dirjen Pendis Kementrian Agama serta Keputusan Kepala Kanwil Kementrian Agama Propinsi masing-masing dan setiap MI memiliki kewenangan menyelenggarakan secara mandiri.  Namun dalam praktiknya masih ditemui sejumlah kendala dalam penyusunan kisi-kisi dan soal baik untuk PAS dan PAT, terjadi keragaman persepsi sehingga terjadi penggunaan alat ukur yang berbeda. Tujuan kegiatan ini tersosialisasinya prosedur penyusunan kisi-kisi untuk penilaian akhir, dan tersusunnya soal-soal PAS dan PAT Metode: Mitra dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah Majlis Dikdasmen PDM Kabupaten Magelang, peserta 52 orang Guru MIM. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi: melakukan persiapan, proses pelaksanaan dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil: Respon peserta sangat baik, selama kegiatan pelatihan berlangsung semua peserta mengikuti dari awal sampai selesai dengan aktif dan antusias. Pada sesi praktik peserta dibagi 4 kelompok, hasilnya 3 kelompok mampu melengkapi kisi-kisi dan menyusun soal dengan baik, dan satu kelompok belum menyelesaikan sampai tuntas. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dalam penyusunan kisi-kisi soal dan soal PAS, PAT.

Abstract

COVID-19 has caused a crisis of teacher professionalism degradation. It has surprised teachers at all levels and at the same time inspired them to seek solutions to problems they had never encountered before. Teachers and students are required to adapt to the new normal so that teachers transition in professional life from offline to online. This study aims to analyze the professionalism of teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic, in terms of pedagogical, personality, social, and professional competencies. The method used is a systematic literature review (SLR), identifying, evaluating, and interpreting all findings on a research topic to answer pre-determined research questions using the preferred reporting item for systematic review and meta-analytic (PRISMA). This research database uses Scholar, ERIC, and Mendeley. The results of the study show that teacher professionalism is decadent during the COVID-19 period. pedagogical competence becomes highly cognitive because of the weak transfer of values ​​online. personality competence has distorted the teacher's charisma because for almost two years the students have not met the teacher. Social competence of teachers fails to develop a sense of togetherness because of social and physical distancing. Besides that, the professionalism phase of teachers in Indonesia is in the collegial phase, pedagogic competence is considered more important than other competencies. In terms of personality competence, female teachers have a higher level of professional commitment than male teachers and the professional level of teachers with a master's degree education is significantly higher than the level of professional commitment of teachers with undergraduate education. Individual work professionalism is determined and monitored collectively. This means that the principal will be given decision-making authority over school policies and procedures and the support capacity of school leaders is needed. Pedagogy and professionalism during and after a pandemic will drive transformational change. Guidelines for professional behavior are needed to interpret what the professionalism of teachers looks like during the COVID-19 pandemic. In conclusion, the concept of teacher professionalism is no longer relevant in the COVID-19 era. For future research recommendations, it is necessary to develop guidelines for professional teacher behavior during the pandemic, both COVID-19 and other natural phenomena that cause pandemics.

Abstract

The suboptimal science learning outcomes can be attributed to the inadequate utilisation of pedagogical models by educators, which fail to align with the specific content being taught. In the current educational paradigm, where learning remains predominantly teacher-centered, students are not afforded ample opportunities for active engagement in the learning process. The objective of this study was to investigate the utilisation of the problem-based learning model as a means to enhance science learning results. The research employed the Classroom Action Research (PTK) technique, with the research participants consisting of children from the fourth grade at MI Muhammadiyah Krendetan during the academic year of 2022/2023. The study was conducted in two iterations, employing a research cycle design based on the Kurt Lewin model. This model encompassed four distinct stages: preparation, activity, observation, and reflection. The findings of the research indicate that the use of problem-based learning methodologies in the field of science exhibits a positive impact on students' academic achievements. The aforementioned phenomenon is evident in the activities of the initial phase, wherein the level of student learning attainment stands at 73%, accompanied by a class average of 72.5. In contrast, during cycle II, the rate of student learning completion stood at 87%, accompanied with an average student score of 87.32.

Abstract

School libraries play a crucial role in supporting the learning process and increasing students' reading interest, but in MI Muhammadiyah Paremono, library management is not optimal. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of library management training for teachers in improving knowledge, skills, and its impact on students' reading interest. Using a one group pre-test post-test research design, the subjects of the study consisted of 21 teachers who were given a Likert scale questionnaire before and after the training. The results of the analysis showed a significant increase in pre-test and post-test scores for knowledge (from 3.2 to 4.5), skills (from 3.1 to 4.4), and perceptions of students' reading interest (from 3.0 to 4.2), with p < 0.01. This training successfully improved teachers' competence in library management, which had positive implications for students' reading interest. This study underlines the importance of library management training for teachers to improve students' learning experiences and encourage a reading culture in schools. These findings provide significant contributions to the development of teaching methods and library management, as well as opening up opportunities for further research on the factors that influence students' reading interest.

Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 mempercepat transformasi digital termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan. Saat ini sekolah dituntut untuk mengikuti perkembangan zaman dengan mengembangkan digitalisasi sekolah. Sekolah perlu mengembangkan digitalisasi di era pandemi covid-19 karena proses pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara terpisah, yang mengharuskan siswa belajar dari rumah. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pemahaman kepada pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan tentang pentingnya digitalisasi baik dalam publikasi sekolah kepada masyarakat luas serta bagaimana mengakomodir dan mengatasi kejenuhan belajar peserta didik melalui sistem blended learning. Participatory Action Research (PAR) merupakan metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini, yang melibatkan tenaga pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan dalam kegiatan: pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi pembelajaran jarak jauh (Zoom Meeting, Google Meet, Google Form), pelatihan pembuatan video pembelajaran (InShot), pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi ujian online (Quizizz), dan pelatihan pengoperasian website. Berdasarkan skala penilaian berupa pertanyaan survei tertutup yang digunakan untuk mencerminkan tanggapan responden dalam pelatihan digitalisasi sekolah, menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan meningkat dari 25% menjadi 80%. Dengan pelatihan ini guru menjadi kreatif dan inovatif dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran yang bersentuhan teknologi, sehingga keefektifan dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) serta digitalisasi sekolah terwujud

Abstract

The adoption of Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors (CHLBs) at MI Muhammadiyah Paremono remains a challenge, primarily due to students' low awareness of hygiene, minimal health practices within the school environment, and limited access to interactive learning media. This community engagement program aimed to enhance students' understanding and adoption of CHLBs through a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) approach. The activities included developing a STEM-based health module, providing teacher training, socializing CHLBs among students, and promoting hygiene practices within the school environment. Learning was delivered interactively through experiments and project-based methods, such as a handwashing simulation using pepper powder to represent germs and the use of the HealthHeroes application to assess the nutritional value of food. The program's effectiveness was evaluated through observation, pre-tests and post-tests, and satisfaction surveys for teachers and students. The results showed a significant average increase of 35.2% in students' understanding of CHLBs, along with an improvement in their hygiene-related behaviors. Teachers also reported feeling more confident in delivering STEM-based health education. As a follow-up, the school will receive a self-evaluation guide and continuous support to ensure CHLB practices are embedded in the school culture. This program is expected to create a sustainable positive impact on health and hygiene within the school environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi pedagogik guru kelas terhadap hasil belajar IPA di MI Muhammadiyah Kalibanger Kabupaten Temanggung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa MI Muhammadiyah Kalibanger Kabupaten Temanggung yang berjumlah 218 siswa. Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VI MI Muhammadiyah Kalibanger Kabupaten Temanggung yang berjumlah 34 siswa. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode angket dan dokumentasi yang digunakan untuk mengetahui variabel kompetensi pedagogik guru kelas dan hasil belajar IPA. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis korelasi product moment dengan menggunakan bantuan SPSS for windows versi 20.0. Hasil analisis diskriptif dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi pedagogik guru kelas dalam kategori baik, mencapai 52,95%. hasil belajar IPA dalam kategori baik, mencapai 55,88%. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji korelasi product moment diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi (rxy) sebesar 0,619, berdasarkan rumus df=N-nr=34-2=32 diketahui r tabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% yaitu 0,349 dan r tabel pada taraf signifikan 1% yaitu 0,449, maka rxy sebesar 0,619 tersebut lebih besar apabila dibangdingkan dengan r tabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% maupun pada taraf signifikansi 1%. Dengan demikian Ha yang diajukan diterima, sedangkan Ho ditolak. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada korelasi positif antara kompetensi pedagogik guru kelas dengan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VI MI Muhammadiyah Kalibanger.

Abstract

This research is about theopreneurship of pesantren. Theopreneurship is a relatively new study in the academic world, namely entrepreneurship based on religious values, which is rather different from entrepreneurship studies in general. This research is a descriptive analysis; for collecting data using the in-depth interview method and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). From the research it was found that the two pesantren of Muhammadiyah, namely al-Mu'amin Tembarak and Darul Arqom Patean used the Kulliyatul Mu'allimin al-Islamiyyah (KMI) model in the management of student learning, namely daily learning management for students for 24 hours of full day in the boarding schools. For the development of theopreneurship, Darul Arqom Patean uses the organizational culture formed in the pesantren environment, namely business development through a business division that was formed institutionally and the development of santri entrepreneurship motivation through the Darul Arqom Organization students (OSDA). Meanwhile, pesantren al-Mu'min Tembarak, entrepreneurship development has not yet become an organizational culture, pesantren is still looking for models and forms. For the development of the entrepreneurial ethos of students carried out through the organizational culture of the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IPM).
