Abstract

The research objective was to determine the level of teacher understanding of students in thematic subjects at MI Muhammadiyah 1 Rambeanak. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The data analysis used is in accordance with Miles and Huberman's theory. Data sources consist of primary and secondary data sources. The results showed that the teacher understood the various characteristics of each student well. Teachers can find out the characteristics of students in various ways. Recognizing the character of students will help teachers to deliver students to achieve their goals. When the teacher can understand the characteristics of each student, the teacher will be able to provide the right approach and treatment, especially in the learning process, act fairly, and can solve the problems experienced by students by paying attention to their characteristics.

Abstract

Every school must use distance learning (PJJ) during the COVID-19 epidemic since face-to-face instruction will no longer be available to ensure that learning is maintained. There are challenges in its application, including limited internet connection and the use of technology for education. The research seeks to characterize the thematic learning implementation process, determine the effectiveness of the thematic learning implementation, and develop strategies to get around barriers to thematic learning implementation during the COVID 19 pandemic. The study employs a variety of mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative). The study's findings are as follows: first, because it meets the anticipated indicators, the process of adopting theme learning from planning through implementation and evaluation has gone successfully. Second, the success of thematic learning implementation through questionnaire distribution yielded 78.31 results in the good group. Thematic learning is being implemented throughout the COVID-19 epidemic successfully.

Abstract

The attractiveness of madrasa is inseparable from the National Education Standards (SNP) and the measurement results are used as a reference for developing work programs. Two standards that are prioritized for the fulfillment of the eight SNPs are educators and education personnel (HR) and facilities and infrastructure. For this reason, this program is aimed at improving the quality of human resources and infrastructure in order to increase the attractiveness of the community. This program was carried out at MI Muhammadiyah Surodadi 2 Penggaron Hamlet, Gondowangi Village, Sawangan District, Magelang Regency by involving the head of the madrasa and teachers. This program used a participatory rural appraisal approach which is carried out in three stages, namely socialization, training, and mentoring. The result of this program is the increase in HR expertise in graphic design and videography as well as the arrangement of MI facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

Background: Pada Penilaian Akhir Semester (PAS) maupun Penilaian Akhir Tahun (PAT), setiap Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) wajib merujuk pada aturan-aturan yang ditetapkan oleh Dirjen Pendis Kementrian Agama serta Keputusan Kepala Kanwil Kementrian Agama Propinsi masing-masing dan setiap MI memiliki kewenangan menyelenggarakan secara mandiri.  Namun dalam praktiknya masih ditemui sejumlah kendala dalam penyusunan kisi-kisi dan soal baik untuk PAS dan PAT, terjadi keragaman persepsi sehingga terjadi penggunaan alat ukur yang berbeda. Tujuan kegiatan ini tersosialisasinya prosedur penyusunan kisi-kisi untuk penilaian akhir, dan tersusunnya soal-soal PAS dan PAT Metode: Mitra dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah Majlis Dikdasmen PDM Kabupaten Magelang, peserta 52 orang Guru MIM. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi: melakukan persiapan, proses pelaksanaan dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil: Respon peserta sangat baik, selama kegiatan pelatihan berlangsung semua peserta mengikuti dari awal sampai selesai dengan aktif dan antusias. Pada sesi praktik peserta dibagi 4 kelompok, hasilnya 3 kelompok mampu melengkapi kisi-kisi dan menyusun soal dengan baik, dan satu kelompok belum menyelesaikan sampai tuntas. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dalam penyusunan kisi-kisi soal dan soal PAS, PAT.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah University of Magelang (UMMagelang) with Study Program Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education (PGMI) has a vision "To become a superior and nationally Islamic study program in 2024 the development of Islamic science in the field of teacher professional education (MI/SD)". In order to realize the performance and improvement of PGMI Study Program lecturers based on 17 quality objectives set out in the appendix of the study program vision, in this article only the criteria for research and service are delivered, the PGMI UMMagelang study program refers to the UMMagelang research roadmap. In the last 3 years, lecturers of PGMI were involved in 28 Research and Service Titles. LP3M UMMagelang Internal Funding: 8 Title University Vision Revitalization Program (PRVI) and 9 University Partnership Program (PKU) titles. Abstract

Artikel ini menyajikan penelitian R&D yang bertujuan untuk: (1) Menghasilkan validitas dan kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran sains MI bermuatan karakter islami dengan setting model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat (STM), (2) Menganalisis efektivitas perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dalam meningkatkan karakter islami dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif dengan setting sains teknologi masyarakat (STM) dan model pembelajaran konvensional. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran ini mengacu pada model pengembangan 4-D yaitu Define (Pendefinisian), Design (Perancangan), Develop (Pengembangan) dan Disseminate (Penyebaran). Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan persentase keterlaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Hasil yang telah dicapai pada penelitian ini adalah: (1) Telah berhasil dikembangkan perangkat pembelajaran sains MI dengan setting model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat (STM) di MI yang di dalamnya mencakup pemahaman peserta didik terhadap karakter islami serta mengukur keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa; (2) Instrumen efektivitas perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan ini masih melalui serangkaian tahapan validasi meski telah disimulasikan oleh peneliti pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran sains MI.

Abstract

AbstrakBudaya membaca di MI Muhammadiyah Danurejo masih rendah. Ada beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya budaya membaca di MI Muhammadiyah Danurejo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi dan bagaimana hubungan sarana dan prasarana perpustakaan, kebijakan terkait pengelolaan perpustakaan, dan motivasi instrinsik siswa terhadap budaya membaca siswa di MI Muhammadiyah Danurejo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi dan analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi budaya membaca di MI Muhammadiyah Danurejo diantaranya dari sarana dan prasarana perpustakaan, kebijakan sekolah terkait pengelolaan perpustakaan, dan motivasi instrinsik siswa. Ketiga variabel tersebut sama-sama memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap budaya membaca yang ada di MI Muhammadiyah Danurejo. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sarana dan prasarana perpustakaan masih kurang memadai, kebijakan sekolah terkait pengelolaan perpustakaan belum dilakukan secara maksimal, dan motivasi instrinsik siswa dalam minat membaca masih rendah. Namun, beberapa upaya telah dilakukan oleh pihak sekolah untuk memperbaiki kekurangan-kekurangan tersebut seperti melakukan pengontrolan, monitoring, dan evaluasi dalam pengelolaan perpustakaan, meningkatkan keterampilan pengurus perpustakaan, melibatkan guru dalam melaksanakan program literasi, dan mengadakan kegiatan outing class untuk meningkatkan motivasi membaca siswa,Kata kunci: budaya membaca, perpustakaan, motivasi AbstrakThe reading culture at MI Muhammadiyah Danurejo is still low. There are several factors that cause a low reading culture in MI Muhammadiyah Danurejo. This study aimed to describe the conditions and the correlation between library facilities and infrastructure, policies related to library management, and students' intrinsic motivation towards students' reading culture at MI Muhammadiyah Danurejo. This study employed a quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation and the data were analyzed by using product moment correlation test. The results showed that the factors influencing the reading culture at MI Muhammadiyah Danurejo include library facilities and infrastructure, school policies related to library management, and students' intrinsic motivation. These three variables have a significant positive influence on students’ reading culture in MI Muhammadiyah Danurejo. The research findings show that library facilities and infrastructure are still inadequate, school policies related to library management have not been carried out optimally, and students' intrinsic motivation in reading is still low. However, several efforts have been made by the school to improve these deficiencies such as controlling, monitoring, and evaluating library management, improving the skills of librarians, involving teachers in implementing literacy programs, and holding outing class activities to increase students' reading motivation.Keywords: reading culture, library, motivation

Abstract

This research is motivied by the low mathematics learning outcomes in class II B MI Muhammadiyah Paremono, because the teacher uses the lecture method. The purpose of this study was to improve clock reading and writing skills with waginem props (morning and evening). The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the subject of class II B MI Muhammadiyah Paremono students for the 2021/2022 academic year. The final evaluation test instrument in this study was an evaluation test with 10 questions (essay). The research was conducted in two cycles. The indicators used are reading skills and writing skills. The results of the study show that waginem teaching aids can improve reading and writing skills so that student learning outcomes increase. This can be seen from the activities of the first cycle which showed the percentage of students' learning completeness was 75% with an average class of 87. Meanwhile in cycle II, the percentage of students' learning completeness was 100% with a class average of 96. Thus, the percentage of learning increased by 25%. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that waginem teaching aids can improve mathematics learning outcomes in the time material at MI Muhammadiyah Paremono.

Abstract

ABSTRAKImplementasi Profil Pelajar Pancasila di SD merupakan upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Masalah yang dihadapi adalah bagaimana cara memastikan pelajar benar-benar mengaplikasikan nilai-nilai Pancasila dari profil pelajar ke kehidupan sehari-hari. Hal ini merupakan tantangan bagi sekolah dasar untuk mengajarkan nilai-nilai Pancasila secara efektif serta memastikan para pelajar memahami dan mengaplikasikannya dalam kehidupan mereka. Tujuan pengabdian ini berupaya menanamkan karakter siswa dengan memperkuat kemampuan dan potensi siswa dalam menilai baik dan buruk, menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai yang baik, dan menghayatinya. Mekanisme yang akan diterapkan untuk kegiatan ini adalah model pemberdayaan masyarakat partisipatif, yakni Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). Metode PRA dipilih dikarenakan yang menghadapi masalah adalah mitra. Oleh karena itu, keterlibatan mitra dalam pemecahan masalah dan penyelesaiannya sangat diperlukan. Metode tersebut dibagi menjadi tiga tahap, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan penyusunan laporan. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan guru mengenai proyek profil pelajar Pancasila telah meningkat dari 57% menjadi 77%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan proyek profil pelajar Pancasila membuat para guru lebih mengetahui dan memahami materi tersebut. Selain itu, hasil kuesioner yang telah dibagikan kepada orang tua dalam kegiatan parenting menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesepakatan mereka terhadap kegiatan tersebut cukup tinggi, dengan hasil sebesar 97.33%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada dukungan dari orang tua terhadap kegiatan tersebut. Kata kunci: pendidikan karakter; pancasila; guru; peserta didik; pelatihan ABSTRACTImplementation of the Pancasila Student Profile in SD is an effort to improve the quality of education. The problem faced is how to ensure students really apply Pancasila values from student profiles to everyday life. This is a challenge for elementary schools to teach Pancasila values effectively and ensure students understand and apply them in their lives. The purpose of this service seeks to instill student character by strengthening students' abilities and potential in assessing good and bad, upholding good values, and living them. The mechanism that will be applied for this activity is a participatory community empowerment model, namely Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). The PRA method was chosen because the one facing the problem is the partner. Therefore, the involvement of partners in solving problems and solving them is very necessary. The method is divided into three stages, namely preparation, implementation, and report preparation. The results of the mentoring show that the teacher's ability regarding the Pancasila student profile project has increased from 57% to 77%. These results indicate that the Pancasila student profile project activities make the teachers know and understand the material better. In addition, the results of the questionnaires that were distributed to parents in parenting activities showed that their level of agreement with these activities was quite high, with a result of 97.33%. Abstract

The present learning process should be directed at higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). However, there are still many teachers in elementary schools who have not implemented hots learning as a whole, both in terms of learning models, media, and assessments, because there are no guidelines or modules related to the implementation of HOTS, especially at the elementary school level. This condition certainly requires an adaptation process that is not easy and also includes synthesizing, analyzing, reasoning, comprehending, applying, and evaluating. Therefore, this study aims to determine the implementation of HOTS in elementary schools, using learning models, media, and assessment. In this experiment, a narrative review was used with a database search and thematic analysis. The criteria used also emphasized the articles from various sources, such as national and international scientific journals, related topics, the last 5 years of publication within 2018-2022, and full-text pdf versions in ERIC and Mendeley. From this process, a total of 11 articles were subsequently analyzed. Based on the results, the following was obtained, (1) several learning models stimulated, trained, developed, and improved HOTS in elementary school students, using project and problem-based learning, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), inquiry, problem determination and solution, concept construction and analysis, as well as RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create). (2) Learning media capable of developing HOTS include question-based fun thinkers, Android-based word search educational games, and a related crossword puzzle. (3) HOTS assessments were carried out using the Two-Level Multiple Choices Test (TTMCT) instrument. This led to the establishment of the criteria for students’ product evaluations, using formative and summative assessments, self, peer, and teacher-evaluation incorporation, as well as HOTS question development. From these results, teachers need to use various learning models, media, and assessments. Teacher should also initiate the aspects of higher-order thinking skills, including learning analysis, evaluation, and development.
