Abstract

The study aims to see the distribution of tuna fish yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares) in the Indian Ocean Section West, see CPUE tuna yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares), variability of chlorophyll-a and the temperature of the sea surface every month and season as well as a correlation to chlorophyll-a and the surface temperature sea against the distribution of yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares) in 2013 using AQUA MODIS satellite imagery. The processed data is the data the fishing logbook in 2013 of PPS Bungus with longline fishing gear, the data of chlorophyll-a and ocean surface temperature obtained from the site ERDDAP, data analysis used is the analysis of the density which draws on research Riolo (2006). From the results of this study found that the variability of chlorophyll-a in the waters of the Western Indian Ocean was highest in November amounting to 17.144 mgm-3 / month, the value of the highest sea surface temperature variability occurs in May is 34.31 ° C and for the value of CPUE the highest occurred in June with a value from 16.667 to 10,989 head / 1000 hook / pixel area, with the number of the hook as much as in 2124 the catch hook with an average of 3.0683 tailKeywords: AQUA MODIS, CPUE, Chlorophyll-a, Sea surface temperature, Tuna Madidihang

Abstract

AbstrackThis research was conducted month december 2014 - february 2015 in the laboratory of Fishing boat. The research purpose is to design an application that is easy to use in the calculation of tonnage of fishing boat, namely gross tonnage (GT) and net tonnage (NT). The method used is descriptive method. The results showed that with this application can determine the size of the tonnage of the boat is gross tonnage (GT) and net tonnage (NT) are approaching the actual size easily, quickly and clearly. After validating the data from department of fisheries and marine, obtained difference calculation accuracy by 5 %, so the application can be applied in the calculation tonnage fishing boat. The application can be used for data collection boat owners and taxation. The application can be used by fishermen, government and student fisheries. Keywords : Application, Tonnage, Fishing boats

This study was conducted in one month for eight replications, and 20 units of mesh operated in one arrest operation. Each station was submerged by 10 units of mesh and each mesh was separated in 10 meters. The data obtained were put on tables and graphs and then analyzed descriptively. The mesh used in this study made of the main basic material of wire mesh and the size was 1 cm. The length of the mesh body was 120 cm, the diameter was 35 cm, the diameter of the mouth of the mesh was 11 cm, and the diameter of the exit of the mesh was 8 cm. Main catche, the wire mesh fishing gear during the study were marble goby (Oxyeleotris marmorata) with the catch percentage was 37%, by-cath was baung fish(Mystus nemurus) 6%, giant featherback (Chitala lopis) 14%, forest snakehead (Channa lucius) 2 %, striped snakehead (Channa striata) 8%, giant gourami (Osphronemus gouramy) 5%, catfish (Pangasius polyuranodon) 7%, cyprinid (Osteochilus melanopeleurus) 2%, catfish (Clarias sp) 1%, snakeskin gourami(Tricogaster pectoralis) 13%, Indian glassy fish (Parambasis sp) 6%, fire eel (Mastacembelus erythrotaenia) 1%, and striped wallago catfish (Wallago leeri) 1%.
