Abstract

AbstrakPelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman peserta tentang kurikulum Merdeka dan keterampilan mengembangkan pembelajaran bediferensiasi, khususnya LKPD berbasis proyek. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 26 orang guru IPA SMP yang tergabung dalam MGMP IPA SMP Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Pelatihan menggunakan strategi scaffolding. Langkah yang digunakan adalah the teacher does it dan the group does it.  Sebelum pelatihan, peserta diminta melakukan self assessment tentang pemahaman pada kurikulum Merdeka dan kterampilannya mengembangkan LKPD berdiferensiasi.  Selanjutnya peserta secara klasikal akan dibimbing pelatih (the teacher does it) dan berinteraksi dengan teman-teman dalam satu kelompok (the group does it). Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman peserta tentang kurikulum Merdeka mengalami peningkatan.  Setelah pelatihan jumlah  peserta   yang pemahamannya “sangat baik” meningkat 11,54 %, “baik” meningkat 19.23%.  LKPD yang dihasilkanpun telah memenuhi kriteria “baik”, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan ini mampu   meningkatkan   pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam mengem-bangkan keterampilan LKPD berdifrernsiasi. Kata Kunci: LKPD; pembelajaran berdiferensiasi; strategi scaffolding AbstractThis training aims to increase participants' understanding of the Merdeka curriculum and skills in developing differentiated learning, especially project-based LKPD. The training was attended by 26 middle school science teachers who are members of the South Lampung Regency Middle School Science MGMP. Training uses scaffolding strategies. The steps used are the teacher who does it and the group who does it. Before the training, participants were asked to carry out a self-assessment regarding their understanding of the Merdeka curriculum and their skills in developing differentiated LKPD. Next, participants will classically be guided by a trainer (the teacher Does it) and interact with friends in one group (the group Does it). The results of the training showed that participants' understanding of the Merdeka curriculum had increased. After the training the number of participants whose understanding was "very good" increased by 11.54%, "good" increased by 19.23%. Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of implementing interactive e-LKPD on biotechnology materials with the Argument-Driven Inquiry in improving argumentation skills. This study involved 60 grade IX students in a public junior high school in South Lampung, Lampung Province. Quantitative method with non-equivalence pretest-posttest control group has been applied with 30 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the control class. Students in the experimental class get learning assisted by interactive biotechnology e-LKPD with the Argument-Driven Inquiry, while students in the control class are taught using Discovery Learning. The results showed that students who were taught using the Argument Driven Inquiry had N-Gain (g= 0.63) than students in the Discovery Learning (g= 0.28). Furthermore, the effectiveness of biotechnology learning using the Argument-Driven Inquiry shows a high category (ES = 0.90). This shows that the interactive e-LKPD with the Argument-Driven Inquiry effective for improving argumentation skills.

Abstract

Practicums or experiments in laboratories are one of the main characteristics of Natural Sciences (IPA) learning in junior high schools, as a process of gaining knowledge and skills that students should experience. However, practical activities in schools often cannot be carried out, due to unavailability of equipment. One of the materials that basically requires students to do practical work is the material on separating mixtures. The aim of this activity is: to increase the knowledge and creativity of science teachers in creating/modifying practical tools. The methods used are lectures, discussions and practice testing tools. The target of this activity is 30 science teachers in junior high schools who are members of the Metro City Science Subject Teachers' Conference. The data collection technique in this activity uses a pretest and is then analyzed by calculating N-Gain. The results of the activities that have been carried out show an increase in teachers' understanding of mixture separation material, as indicated by the average n-gain between pretest and posttest of 0.73; increasing teacher insight regarding making practical tools, increasing teacher skills in designing practical tools. In addition, the average teacher satisfaction with the training activities carried out was 93% (very good category). Based on these results, it can be concluded that training activities are effective in increasing teachers' understanding and creativity in modifying practical tools.Keywords: practical tools; separation of mixtures; teacher training AbstrakPraktikum atau percobaan di laboratorium merupakan salah satu karakteristik utama pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) di SMP, sebagai suatu proses untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan, dan keterampilan yang seyogyanya dialami oleh siswa. Akan tetapi, kegiatan praktikum di sekolah sering kali tidak dapat dilakukan, karena tidak tersedianya alat. Salah satu materi yang dasarnya mengharuskan siswa melakukan praktikum adalah materi pemisahan campuran. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah: meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kreativitas guru IPA dalam membuat/memodifikasi alat praktikum. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, diskusi, dan praktik uji coba alat. Sasaran dari kegiatan ini adalah guru-guru IPA yang berjumlah 30 orang di SMP yang tergabung dalam Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran IPA Kota Metro. Teknik pengambilan data dalam kegiatan ini menggunakan pretest dan yang kemudian di analisis dengan menghitung N-Gain. Hasil dari kegiatan yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman guru tentang materi pemisahan campuran, yang ditunjukkan dengan n-gain rata-rata antara pretest dan postest sebesar 0,73; meningkatnya wawasan guru terkait pembuatan alat praktikum, meningkatnya keterampilan guru dalam mendesain alat praktikum. Di samping itu, diperoleh rata-rata kepuasan guru terhadap kegiatan pelatihan yang dilaksanakan sebesar 93% (kategori sangat baik). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan kreativitas guru dalam memodifikasi alat praktikum.Kata Kunci: alat praktikum; pelatihan guru; pemisahan campuran

Abstract

The advancement of the industrial revolution era has made scientific creativity an essential skill for students. Scientific creativity can be cultivated using educational media. This study aims to describe chemistry teachers' perceptions regarding the development of natural indicators from butterfly pea flower (Clitoria ternatea) extract as a learning medium to enhance scientific creativity. This research employs a mixed-method approach with a Sequential Explanatory Design involving 21 chemistry teacher respondents in Bandar Lampung. The results indicate that all respondents positively perceive the development of natural indicators from Clitoria ternatea extract as a learning medium to enhance scientific creativity, considering it accurate, easy to use, and environmentally friendly. Therefore, the developed natural indicator can be used as a learning medium to enhance students' scientific creativity. The implications of this study highlight the potential use of environmentally friendly natural indicators in educational practices to foster scientific creativity among students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the perception of science teachers towards differentiated electronic student worksheets based on organic waste processing projects to improve critical thinking skills. The research method used is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques through questionnaires and interviews, then analyzed using descriptive analysis. The questionnaire was distributed to 10 science teacher respondents and 96 junior high school students in South Lampung Regency. The results showed that 80% of teachers had not used differentiated electronic student worksheets based on projects and had not trained critical thinking skills; according to students, no teachers implemented project-based learning. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that differentiated e-LKPD based on organic waste processing projects is needed to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Integrated Science Student Worksheet Immersed based on the use of corn cobs to improve the creative thinking skills of junior high school students. This study uses the ADDIE research and development method by Dick and Carry. The results obtained, namely expert validation, showed that the average percentage of the aspect of content conformity to basic competencies was 92.07% and the construction aspect of the student worksheet component was 100% with very high criteria. The effectiveness of student worksheets in terms of n-gain and effect size , respectively, is of 0.93 and 0.95 with large criteria. Based on this, the immersed integrated science student worksheet based on the corn cob processing project is effective for improving the creative thinking skills of junior high school students.Keywords: student worksheets, project-based learning, creative thinking.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i1.pp294-303

Abstract

This study aims to develop centrifugation tool to improve performance in the laboratory and problem solving skills. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with 4D model. The results showed that the developed centrifuge was declared according to the material, had educational value, was durable, precise in measurement, efficient and safe for students based on the responses of teachers and students respectively at 100% and 96.15% with very high criteria. Student performance scores in the laboratory have a distribution close to the average student performance score (91.52). The effectiveness of the application of centrifugation using the students’ worksheet obtained good results in improving problem solving skills with moderate criteria (0.60) and giving moderate effect (0.42). Abstract

This study aims to develop a project-based pretest-posttest assessment of the use of coffee husks. This study used the research and development method of the ADDIE model until the development stage. At the analysis stage, a literature study and a preliminary study were conducted. At the design stage, planning and preparation of an initial draft in the form of a pretest-posttest assessment were carried out. In the development stage, two science education experts validated the suitability of the content and construction of the pretest-posttest assessment with Torrance's creative thinking skills indicator framework. The product of the validation results was then responded to the suitability of the content and construction aspects of creative thinking skills indicators by the three science teachers. The results of expert validation and teacher responses indicated that the pretest-posttest assessment instrument product is very suitable to be used to measure students' creative thinking skills in integrated learning based on coffee peel utilization projects.Keywords: pretest-posttest assessment, coffee peel utilization projects, creative thinking.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i1.pp13-24

Abstract

Creative thinking skills have an important role to face the challenges of the 21st century. This study aims to improve the creative thinking skills of junior high school students through a project-based learning model for processing cassava peel waste. This research method is quasi-experimental, non-equivalent pre-test-post-test control group design. The sample in this study was class VII students of SMPN 1 Purbolinggo, who were determined using a purposive sampling technique. The number of students in the control and the experimental classes was 32 people each. The instruments in this research are the Creative Thinking Skills Test and Performance Assessment. The results showed that the average N-gain for creative thinking skills in the experimental class was in the medium category (0.58), while on the control class, it was in the low category (0.29). Cohen's d coefficients for each indicator of creative thinking skills fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration; were 0.62, 0.58, 0.72, and 0.72, respectively, all in the medium category. However, Cohen's d coefficient effect size for the average N-gain overall creative thinking skills is 2.40, belonging to the very large category.
