Abstract

Judul penelitian ini adalah Pengaruh penggunaan buku ajar ikatan kimia dengan pendekatan konstruktivistik dan multirepresentasi terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan buku ajar ikatan kimia dengan pendekatan konstruktivistik dan multirepresentasi terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPA SMA di Kota Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental design dengan rancangan penelitian OneGroup Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 36 siswa kelas XI IPA dari SMAN 6 Pontianak, SMAN 8 Pontianak, dan SMAK Immanuel Pontianak. Data prestasi belajar siswa yang tidak homogen, dianalisis menggunakan statistik non-parametrik uji Wilcoxon. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa buku ajar ikatan kimia dengan pendekatan konstruktivistik dan multirepresentasi berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa baik siswa di SMAN 6 Pontianak, SMAN 8 Pontianak, dan SMAK Immanuel Pontianak dengan nilai sig. masing-masing 0,002; 0,002; dan 0,002 dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% (? = 0,05). Kata kunci: pendekatan konstruktivistik, multirepresentasi, prestasi belajar. Abstract: The title of this research is "The effect of using the chemical bond textbook with constructivistic approach and multiple-representation on students achievement". The aims of this research is to know the effect of using the chemical bond textbook with constructivistic approach and multiple-representation on students achievement at XIst IPA in Pontianak. The form of this research is a pre-experimental design with design One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample were 36 students of XIst IPA in SMAN 6 Pontianak, SMAN 8 Pontianak, and SMAK Immanuel Pontianak. Students achievement data are not homogen, analyzed using nonparametric statistic Wilcoxon-Test. The analysis result showed that textbook about chemical bonds with constructivist approach and multiple representation effect on student achievement both students of SMAN 6 Pontianak, SMAN 8 Pontianak, and SMAK Immanuel Pontianak with significance score respectively 0.002, 0.002, and 0.002 level of confidence set at 95% (? = 0,05). Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan metode Question Student Have (QSH) dengan siswa yang diajar menggunakan metode konvensional. Bentuk penelitian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan model “quasy experiment design” dengan rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Teknik pemilihan dengan purposive sampling.Berdasarkan analisis data posttest dengan menggunakan uji U Mann Whitney (α = 5%) diperoleh nilai Asymp.Sig(2-tailed) sebesar 0,010. Analisis data angket motivasi belajar siswa dengan menggunakan uji U Mann Whitney (α = 5%) diperoleh nilai Asymp.Sig(2-tailed) sebesar 0,000. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan motivasi dan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diajar metode Question Student Have (QSH) dengan siswa yang diajar tanpa menggunakan metode Question Student Have (QSH) pada materi hidrokarbon kelas X SMAN 1 Sungai Raya. Perhitungan Effect Size dengan metode Question Student Have (QSH)memberikan pengaruh sebesar 27,04% terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi hidrokarbon kelas X SMAN 1 Sungai Raya. Kata kunci : Question Student Have (QSH),motivasi, hasil belajar Abstact: This research aims to know the difference of motivations and learning outcomes between the students who are taught using method of Question Student Have (QSH) and the students who are taught using conventional method. Type of this research is experiment research using “quasy experiment design” approach and design of this research is Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The selection technique using Purposive Sampling. The calculation of effect size using Question Student Have (QSH) method affect 27,04% for the improvement of student learning outcome upon hydrocarbon lesson in class X SMAN 1 Sungai Raya. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan antara hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) dengan siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional pada materi struktur atom dan seberapa besar pengaruh perlakuan tersebut dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dan bentuk desain yang digunakan yaitu nonequivalent pretest postest control group design. Data dianalisis dengan uji statistik parametrik yaitu uji t yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) dengan siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Penggunaan model pembelajaran Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) memberikan pengaruh sebesar 38,3% terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci: aptitude treatment interaction, hasil belajar Abstract: The aims of this research is to determine the differences between learning outcomes of students who were taught using the learning model Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) with learning outcomes of students who were taught using the learning model conventional on the atomic structure learning material and to know the influence of the learning model Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) to improvement of students learning outcomes. Abstract

Abstract: The title of this research is developing of students work sheet with macroscopic-microscopic-symbolic approach in chemical bonding subject. The purpose of this research was to produce a student work sheet with macroscopic-microscopic-symbolic approach in chemical bonding subject. The method of this research is Research & Development (R&D) recommended by Borg & Gall with modification. There are four steps in this method, which is research and collecting information, planning, developing preliminary form of product, and the last is field testing and product revision. Based on the result, the student work sheet with macroscopis-microscopic-symbolic approach in chemical bonding subject was suitable been used at learning process. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan lembar kerja siswa (LKS) ikatan dengan pendekatan makroskopis-mikroskopis-simbolik pada materi ikatan kimia. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan ialah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model pengembangan yang direkomendasikan oleh Borg & Gall (1989) yang dimodifikasi yang meliputi empat tahap yaitu penelitian pendahuluan untuk mengumpulkan informasi, melakukan perencanaan, mendesain produk awal sampai melakukan uji coba lapangan dan revisi produk. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini berjudul peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar dalam pokok bahasan patikel materi melalui media powerpoint. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa pada pokok bahasan partikel materi dengan pembelajaran melalui media power point. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dalam 2 siklus, tiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi.Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket motivasi belajar dan tes hasil belajar. Persentase rata-rata angket motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran melalui media power pointsiklus I (65,3%) dan siklus II (82%) dan tes hasil belajar siswa siklus I (66,2%) dan siklus II (80,2%). Hasil penelitian tindakan kelas menunjukkan adanya terdapat peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 16,3% dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa sebesar 14%. The purpose is of this research is to improve the students motivation and learning achievement on particle material by using PowerPoint media. The method of this research is Classroom Action Research which done in two cycles. Each cycle consist of planning, action, observation and reflection. The instruments used in this research are learning motivation questionnaire and students learning achievement test. The average percentages of students motivation questionnairein learning through powerpoint media in each cycleare 65,3 per cent and 82 per cent respectively, and the results of students learning achievement test are 66,2% (Cycle I), and 80,2% (Cycle II). The research finding of the classroom achievement showedthat there are improvement around 16,3% and 14% on students learning motivation and students learning achievement. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa kelas XI pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak, 2) tingkat pemahaman algoritmik siswa kelas XI pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 63 siswa dari XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2. Pemahaman konseptual dan algoritmik siswa pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan diukur dengan menggunakan tes pilihan ganda beralasan dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa :1) siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak memiliki tingkat pemahaman konseptual pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan dalam kategori rendah dan sangat rendah, 2) siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak memiliki tingkat pemahaman algoritmik pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan dalam kategori rendah. Kata Kunci: pemahaman konseptual, pemahaman algoritmik Abstract: The purposes of this research are to determine: 1) level of concep understanding in solubility and solubility product of 11th grade students of SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak, 2) level of the algorithmic understanding in solubility and solubility product in 11th grade students of SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. In regarding to achieve the purposes, this research used descriptive method. The sample of this research are 63 students from XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2. Conceptual and algorithmic understanding of students in solubility and solubility product was measured using multiple-choice test with reason and guideline interview. Based on data analysis, it showed that: 1) 11th grade students of SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak has low and very low category of conceptual understanding in solubility and solubility product, 2) 11th grade students of SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak has low level of algorithmic undestanding in solubilty and solubilty product. Abstract

Abstract: Analysis of Science Literacy Skill of Chemistry Education Students of Tanjungpura University. Scientific literacy skill is one of the abilities that must be possessed by Chemistry Education students as prospective teachers. This research employs a quantitative descriptive method which aims to analyze the scientific literacy skills of the Chemistry Education students of Tanjungpura University.  Fourty-three students in the fourth year of the 2020/2021 academic year participated in this study. Scientific literacy tests, questionnaires and interviews were used as to collect the data. The scientific literacy test is used to measure aspects of knowledge and competence which adopted from the Dutch National Chemistry Exam consisted of 16 questions. The 11 statements in the questionnaires are used to measure the aspects of attitudes. Interviews are used to confirm the results of both test and questionnaire. Data were analyzed by calculating the test scores and the percentage of students’ answers on the questionnaire. Based on data analysis, students' scientific literacy skills of knowledge and competence aspect are classified as low with an average score of 43 and 38, while the attitude aspect is classified as moderate with an average percentage of 75%. Students' scientific literacy skills in both aspects need to be improved through the integration of scientific literacy in the learning process and in the use of learning media.Keywords: science literacy skills, prospective chemistry teacher, quantitative descriptiveDOI: 10.23960/jppk.v10.i3.2021.09

Abstract

Numerous studies had reported that students in all level found that study chemistry is difficult. The main cause of the difficulty is the inability of students to visualize the atom or molecules. This study aims to enhance students’ understanding by using   the simple molecular model as the learning resources to help students visualize the shape of the molecules. To achieve the aim, this study employs one-group pre-test post-test design. A conceptual test was used as pre-test and post-test to measure students’ understanding before and after learning with the simple molecular model. Fifty-four first-year cohort students of Chemistry Education Study Program of Department of Mathematics and Science Education of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tanjungpura University were involved in this study. Students’ pre-test and post-test scores were analysed using a paired sample t-test with SPSS. Based on data analysis, a statistically significant improvement in scores (p value = 0.001) was found, which indicates that the Simple Molecular Model could enhance students’ understanding on Molecular Geometry.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the science literacy skills of chemistry education students in Acid-Base solution topics. The research method used is descriptive by using purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study were 22 (out of 91) year 3 students of chemistry education Department. Data collection techniques used in this study are the measurement techniques in the form of open-questions and interview techniques. The results of data analysis show that chemistry education students in solving acid-base problems; science literacy content is in the medium category, the science process is still low, and the context of scientific literacy is also low. The conclusion is the average literacy skills of chemistry education students in acid-base material is in the medium group.Keywords: analysis, science literacy skills, acid-base.

Abstract

Sejegi Village, Mempawah Timur District, Mempawah Regency, West Kalimantan is an area with a fairly large peat area, so it is very difficult for people to get clean water sources. On the other hand, PDAM can not fulfill the community's clean water needs, so the people of Sejegi village generally rely on rainwater as a source of clean water. For this reason, water purification training was carried out for the people of Sejegi Village, Mempawah Regency. The purpose of this activity is to improve the skills of the people of Sejegi Village in purifying peat water so that they get clean water that is suitable for household use, as well as to overcome community difficulties in obtaining clean water sources during the dry season. The training was carried out using a lecture method and demonstration of making a mini water treatment installation using large buckets and cans of used paint, fibers, gravel, whiting, alum and PAC. The training was attended by 30 residents of the Sejegi Village community. The results of the training showed that the community's understanding of the importance of clean water increased after being given the training. In addition, skills in designing water purification with simple materials are also starting to appear. This training is expected to help the Sejegi Village community in solving problems with clean water sources that are suitable for use.
