Abstract

This study aims to optimize teacher competence in improving the quality of education at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Raudhatul Jannah, located in Semua Village, Bram Itam District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. The main issues identified in this institution include teachers teaching subjects outside their educational background, the low number of teachers holding teaching certificates, and the presence of teachers who do not meet the qualification standards mandated by law, such as high school graduates teaching Mathematics. This research employed a qualitative approach using the snowball sampling method. The research subjects consisted of the principal as the key informant, three teachers (Mathematics, English, and Al-Qur’an Hadith), students, and parents.The findings reveal that the teachers’ competence was initially suboptimal and did not meet educational quality standards. To address this, three strategies were implemented: (1) professional training and development programs facilitated by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, (2) socialization and enforcement of school regulations, and (3) provision of financial incentives through the Village Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMDes) in the form of direct cash assistance for teachers. Following the implementation of these strategies, teacher competence at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Raudhatul Jannah significantly improved and met the established standards of educational quality.

Abstract

The low quality of Qur’anic recitation among students remains a persistent challenge despite increasing memorization achievement. This study addresses the question: to what extent is the Maisura method effective in improving the tahsin tartil skills of students at Rumah Tahfidz Ibadurrahman, Jambi? Employing a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of the tahsin program. The findings reveal a significant improvement across four key indicators: makhraj (52% to 80%), tajwid (48% to 76%), tempo (60% to 82%), and tartil (55% to 78%). The implementation of Maisura through talaqqi musyafahah, repetitive drills, and the use of murottal audio proved effective in producing more accurate and rhythmic recitation. Despite challenges such as a high teacher–student ratio and limited digital facilities, this study highlights Maisura as a strategic method for strengthening Qur’anic recitation quality. Beyond its empirical contribution, the research enriches the academic discourse on Qur’anic pedagogy while offering practical recommendations for the management of modern tahfidz institutions in Indonesia.

Abstract

Program rehabilitasi kesehatan jiwa yang dilakukan Yayasan Wasangkerta di Dusun Karangdawa, Kecamatan Setu Patok, Cirebon, Jawa Barat, berpotensi memberikan dampak positif. Penilaian awal menunjukkan bahwa anak perempuan di sekolah tersebut memiliki tingkat stres yang tinggi akibat tekanan akademis, kurang tidur, dan masalah sosial, sedangkan masalah kesehatan mental juga disebabkan oleh stres. Melalui program studi, perempuan mendapatkan pengetahuan lebih dalam tentang pentingnya kesehatan mental dan strategi mengelola emosi dan stres. Mereka juga meningkatkan partisipasi dalam banyak kegiatan dan digambarkan sebagai tatanan sosial masyarakat. Setelah menyelesaikan program ini, ada peningkatan nyata dalam kehidupan anak-anak perempuan tersebut, seperti peningkatan kemampuan mereka untuk mengatasi stres, berkomunikasi dengan jelas, dan mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang kesehatan mental mereka sendiri dan orang lain di sekitar mereka

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and examine the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of a website-based electronic module on narcotics to improve the learning motivation of Grade XI senior high school students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects were Grade XI students of SMAN 11 Sarolangun, divided into an experimental class and a control class. Research instruments included expert validation questionnaires, teacher and student practicality questionnaires, and a learning motivation questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis and inferential statistics through an independent samples t-test. The results showed that the developed website-based electronic module was categorized as highly feasible based on evaluations by material, media, and language experts, and highly practical according to teachers’ and students’ responses. The effectiveness test indicated that students in the experimental class demonstrated higher learning motivation than those in the control class. Statistical analysis revealed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference in learning motivation between the two groups. Therefore, the website-based electronic module is effective as a learning medium to enhance students’ learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Human Resource Management (HRM) on Lecturer Job Satisfaction and examine the role of Islamic Work Ethics (EKI) as a moderating variable. Job satisfaction is a crucial factor influencing lecturer retention and performance quality, which is directly influenced by HRM practices in the institution. However, the context of Islamic institutions suggests that internal values ​​(EKI) may influence how HRM practices are perceived. This quantitative study used a survey approach with respondents [State the number/type of respondents, e.g.: 120 permanent lecturers] from [State the type of institution, e.g.: Private Islamic Religious College]. Data were analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that: (1) HRM practices have a positive and significant influence on Lecturer Job Satisfaction. (2) Islamic Work Ethics are proven to moderate (strengthen/weaken) the influence of HRM on Lecturer Job Satisfaction. These findings indicate that internalization of Islamic values ​​in work is a key variable that determines the effectiveness of HRM programs and the achievement of optimal job satisfaction in Islamic academic environments. Managerial implications suggest the integration of EKI into the institution's entire HRM process

Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategies used by Islamic Religious Education teachers to foster good morals in students at SMPN 5 Jambi City, and to determine whether these strategies have a positive impact on students' morals. This study uses a qualitative research method that focuses on the author's direct observations and structured interviews. The procedure in this study begins with determining the research focus, where the researcher establishes the problem based on facts that occurred during initial observations in the classroom while the Islamic Religious Education teacher was teaching, as well as based on daily interactions between individual students or between students and the teacher. The Islamic Religious Education teacher has implemented a program for his students to foster good morals in students.

Abstract

This study aims to find out: 1. The personality competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers in improving students' spiritual intelligence; 2. Efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in improving students' spiritual intelligence; 3. Factors that inhibit Islamic Religious Education teachers in increasing students' spiritual intelligence. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research. The data collection technique of this research uses observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. In testing the validity of the data, data triangulation is used. The results of the study were: 1. The personality competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers can be categorized as good, because it has met all the indicators contained in the teacher's personality competence, such as a steady and stable personality, mature, wise and wise, authoritative and polite, noble character and an example for students. 2. Efforts made by Islamic Religious Education teachers in schools, including being an example for students, giving advice to students, the habit of praying before and after studying, the habit of praying in congregation, the habit of reading the Qur'an, yasinan activities every Friday, infaq and sodaqoh activities and involving students in religious activities at school. 3. Factors that inhibit Islamic Religious Education teachers in schools, including students, family environment, and community environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the educational role of Akidah Akhlak teachers in developing the spiritual intelligence of students in class VIII A at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Kota Jambi and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing this process. The background of this research is the fact that several students still show low spiritual awareness, such as lack of responsibility, limited understanding of spiritual intelligence, and low motivation in practicing religious values in daily life. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a field research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving Akidah Akhlak teachers, the school principal, and students as research subjects. The results show that the educational role of Akidah Akhlak teachers is carried out through guidance, role modeling (uswah hasanah), motivation, and the internalization of Islamic values in the learning process. Teachers not only deliver cognitive knowledge but also cultivate spiritual values through worship habituation, character building, and meaningful learning activities. The development of students’ spiritual intelligence can be seen in increased religious awareness, moral responsibility, self-control, and positive attitudes in everyday life. Supporting factors include a religious school environment, school programs, and student motivation, while inhibiting factors include differences in family background and social environmental influences

Abstract

Learning interest is an important factor that influences the success of the learning process in schools. Students who have high learning interest tend to be more active in the learning process, pay greater attention to the subject matter, and show stronger motivation to achieve optimal learning outcomes. Conversely, low learning interest may lead to passive participation, lack of concentration, and difficulties in understanding learning materials. This study aims to analyze the factors that cause low learning interest in Islamic Religious Education among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 19 Kota Jambi. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects consisted of the principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and seventh-grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the low level of students’ learning interest is influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors include low learning motivation, lack of study habits, and students' perceptions that the subject is less interesting. External factors include monotonous teaching methods, limited use of learning media, less conducive classroom atmosphere, and lack of family support. Therefore, innovation in teaching strategies, the use of engaging learning media, and continuous motivation are needed to improve students’ learning interest in Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

This study examines the personality competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers in fostering the noble character of students at Nu Hidayatul Mubtadi-Ien Junior High School, Tungkal Jaya District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The background of this research is based on the moral problems found among students, such as lack of discipline, low respect toward teachers, and weak obedience to school regulations. These conditions require the active role of teachers in guiding and developing students’ moral behavior through strong personality competence. This study aims to describe the personality competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers, explain the process of fostering noble character among students, and analyze the efforts carried out by teachers in moral development activities. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method using pedagogical, psychological, managerial, and theological approaches. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings reveal that the personality competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers has an important role in shaping students’ noble character through exemplary attitudes, discipline, motivation, religious habituation, and continuous guidance. Teachers also implemented moral development programs such as congregational prayer activities, greeting culture, cleanliness awareness, honesty, discipline, and respect toward teachers, parents, and fellow students. The study concludes that the personality competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers significantly contributes to the development of students’ noble character and supports the achievement of educational objectives based on Islamic values.
