Abstract

ABSTRACT Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV) is a critical vaccine for the prevention of pneumonia and other infections in children, yet the adherence rates to its administration vary across different countries. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing parental adherence to PCV vaccination for children. The methodology employed in this study is bibliometric analysis, using Publish or Perish (PoP) to collect relevant articles and VOSviewer to visualize the trends in PCV vaccination research. The data collected spans articles from 2014 to 2024, focusing on keywords related to parental attitudes, vaccine knowledge, and external factors, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, that impact vaccination rates. The analysis reveals that most studies on PCV focus on the influence of parental attitudes and knowledge on vaccine adherence in children. Additionally, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on vaccination coverage has become a central theme in the existing literature. This study identifies gaps in understanding the impact of cultural factors and vaccination policies on vaccine acceptance in various countries and highlights the need for further research into policy strategies to increase vaccination coverage in countries with limited access to healthcare services.
