Abstract

Abstrak: Character education is still the main problem in national education, Pesantren as Islamic educational institution with a long history in realizing the goal of national education is still strong.  The excellence of Pesantren in the aspect of internalizing Islamic values that is comprehensively designed relevant with local traditions. In general, they only held general activities with the intention of being limited to the program's implementation. Until this stage, they do not yet have an effective method of internalization. This study aims to find and develop boarding school internalization methods based on boarding management. The method used is a qualitative approach case study type. The results showed that the internalization of Pesantren values was carried out through hostel management with planning, organizing, actuating, and evaluating daily activities that took place at the hostel. The values reflected in the sustainability activities at the hostel were orderly and implemented with full responsibility by the board hostel and students. Internalization of values managed by the hostel management approach becomes an effective and efficient means of achieving Pesantren goals. Keywords: internalization of value; hostel management; pesantren management Abstrak: Pendidikan karakter masih menjadi problem pokok dalam pendidikan nasional, Pesantren masih kukuh sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam dengan sejarah yang panjang dalam mewujudkan tujuan pendidikan nasional. Keunggulan pendidikan pesantren pada aspek internalisasi nilai-nilai Islam yang didesain secara komprehensif relevan dengan tradisi lokal. Pada umumnya Pesantren menyelenggarakan kegiatan normatif dengan maksud terbatas pada keterlaksanaan program. Sampai pada tahapan ini, pesantren belum memiliki metode internalisasi nilai yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan dan mengembangkan metode internalisasi pesantren berbasis manajemen asrama. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa internalisasi nilai-nilai pesantren dilakukan melalui manajemen asrama dengan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengorganisasian, dan evaluasi kegiatan-kegiatan harian yang berlangsung di asrama. Nilai-nilai pesantren direfleksikan dalam keberlangsungan kegiatan-kegiatan di asrama yang tertib dan dilaksanakan dengan penuh tanggungjawab oleh pengurus asrama dan santri. Internalisasi nilai-nilai yang dikelola dengan pendekatan manajemen asrama menjadi sarana yang efektif dan efisien dalam mencapai tujuan pesantren. Kata kunci : Internalisasi nilai; manajemen asrama; manajemen pesantren

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the causes of the online learning ineffectiveness at State Junior High School (SMPN) 3 Pendopo. The design of the study was a field research. The subjects of the study consisted of teachers, administrative staff, and students in grade 7 that were recruited using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by conducting online interviews, observations, and data identification. Data were then analyzed using the inductive approach of Miles and Huberman, which included collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusion. The results of the study showed that at SMPN 3 Pendopo, online learning system has not run well due to inefficient method, inadequate facilities and infrastructures, and students’ lack of awareness of the importance of online learning.

Abstract

The process of transmitting Islamic values to the younger generation remains an appealing study as Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world. Unfortunately, previous studies on this topic focused more on the process of transmitting these values through formal and informal religious based educational institutions. This research took a unique position to study the Islamic values transmission within non-religious based public school. This qualitative research employed the case study approach to examine the process of instilling Islamic values in public schools. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and study of relevant documentation. The collected data were analyzed using the inductive interactive techniques of the Miles and Huberman models. This study showed that 1) the values of iman-taqwa (faith-piety) and akhlaq mulia (good morals) were an important embodiment of affection-based educational programs in schools. 2) These values were instilled by the school through a habituation process, supported by the function of the principal and teachers as role models and the important role of Rohis (Islamic organization). The inculcation of Islamic values was not only carried out by religious education teachers, but also transmitted by secular subject teachers as well as extracurricular activities. The findings of this study confirmed that public schools in Indonesia were now transformed as important instruments for the transmission of Islamic values to young Muslims. This research suggests important recommendations on the need to develop the capacity of teachers in schools to make them agents of moderation of Islamic values.

Abstract

Technological adaptation is being pursued, especially in the educational world, which is currently in an emergency period, thus it forces learning adaptation. During this time, human' brains start to think the new ways to solve their problems or what helps their activities. From this process, technology emerges and is growing. Technology has many benefits and convenience in the world of education, but it still has not fully benefited yet in education. Furthermore, the government created the program the Kampus Mengajar to improve the quality of schools from many sides, one of them being technology. This research aimed to design the program of technological adaptation conducted in the targeted school for the Kampus Mengajar. The research design used classroom action research. The subjects involved students of grade 5 in the targeted school for Kampus Mengajar. The data of this research were collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed by qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this finding showed that the uses of video, online quizzes, zoom meeting, computer device, the application of the AKSI assessment, and AKM simulation are effective, though it was not maximally used for online learning. This research concludes that several programs require more in-depth preparation to be effective in online learning in the targeted schools of the Kampus Mengajar.

Abstract

Bold learning during Covid-19 causes a decrease in the quality of linguistic abilities in children because teachers cannot convey material contextually. This study aimed to analyze learning models that can be used to develop post-pandemic early childhood language skills or through face-to-face learning. This type of research is qualitative research, in which the study is carried out to understand events regarding what happened to a research subject. This phenomenological research approach seeks to let reality naturally in the research place at Nyai Ahmad Dahlan Kindergarten, Yogyakarta. The study results indicate a learning model to develop early childhood language by departing from changes in early childhood behavior in learning. Behavioral changes that lead to learning with an activity-based learning approach and multi-media-multi-method are the solutions offered in this study to improve children's language development. It contributes to the knowledge of the learning model in the post-Covid-19 pandemic toward early childhood language development.

Abstract

An indicator of learning success relates to the teacher’s skills in carrying out various learning methods suitable for children. This study analyzed the teacher's strategy to overcome the learning plateau in early childhood learning. The method used is a systematic literature review. The data analysis technique was to analyze research findings, draw judgments, interpretations and draw conclusions based on the relevance of research findings that were systematically selected with research themes from the literature. The results showed that the learning plateau could be overcome by various methods, namely a) Outing class, b) Total Physical Response (TPR), c) Storytelling and d) Inquiry. In particular, each method has a purpose and focus on a particular field. The four methods used in research are continuously able to complete early childhood readiness in forming logical thinking and mental readiness and these methods become a reference so that children become more creative, active, and able to find a lot of learning in a broad and real way, not only in their environment. school but also outside of school.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah School is one of the largest and oldest private schools that influences the Islamic pattern of Indonesian society. In organizing education, Muhammadiyah uses Islamic core values of progress, namely a Manhaj, in understanding Islamic teachings that are responsive to the progress of the times. This study aims to explore strategies carried out by teachers in internalizing Islamic values in students. The data was collected through semi-structured interviews with 10 teachers in five Muhammadiyah Elementary Schools in Yogyakarta. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis data. The results showed that Islamic values are promoted to be internalized by students through making teachers role models, integrating into school culture, integrating into general subjects, and cooperation between schools and parents. The research findings highlight the importance of involving various components in instilling Islamic values in schools.

Abstract

The learning process in vocational schools has different characteristics compared to that of the non-vocational. Students’ readiness is one significant variable in determining students’ learning success. Hence, identifying the antecedent of the variable is necessary. The research aimed to measure the contribution of academic supervision through teachers' professional and pedagogic competence and its impact on vocational school students’ learning readiness. The quantitative research employed ex-post facto design with partial least square equation modelling (PLS-SEM) to test the hypothesis. Non-probability sampling, particularly purposive sampling, was used to take the samples, which were 71 teachers and 96 students in three private vocational schools in Gunung Kidul Regency, Indonesia. Meanwhile, the data were analyzed using PLS-SEM because the study involved less than 100 samples. The results showed pedagogic competence contributes to learning readiness, professional competence does not contribute to learning readiness, academic supervision contributes to pedagogic competence, and academic supervision contributes to professional competence. Besides, indirect effect scores concluded two points: academic supervision through teachers’ professional competence contributes to learning readiness and academic supervision through a teacher’s professional competence does not contribute to learning readiness. The principals and teachers can use the findings to improve their performance at school and in the classroom.

Abstract

Akhir-akhir ini, anak-anak sering menjadi korban kekerasan di sekolah. Sekolah seharusnya menjadi lingkungan yang aman dan nyaman bagi anak sehingga potensi yang terdapat dalam diri anak dapat dikembangkan. Selain itu, guru yang menggunakan slogan sekolah ramah anak nyatanya belum mengimplementasikan sekolah ramah anak. Proses pembelajaran masih berpusat pada guru dengan gaya belajar, metode strategi, model yang sesuai dengan potensi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sekolah ramah anak dalam perspektif teori belajar humanistik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan library research. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa terdapat hubungan antara konsep sekolah ramah anak dengan teori belajar humanistik. Hal ini berdasarkan hasil dari kesamaan antara konsep sekolah ramah anak dengan teori belajar humanistik yang menitikberatkan pada pengembangan potensi siswa dan proses pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa. Kedua konsep ini sama-sama menitikberatkan pada memanusiakan manusia dengan menggunakan metode dan model pembelajaran yang ramah anak sehingga dapat mengoptimalkan potensi siswa.Kata kunci: sekolah ramah anak, teori belajar humanistik

Abstract

Studi ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang berfokus pada studi kepustakaan dengan menelaah teks-teks Al-Qur'an, hadits, kitab-kitab, buku dan jurnal yang berkaitan permasalahan dalam penelitian ini.Analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan menggunakan cara berfikir induktif. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kecerdasan emosional memiliki pengaruh yang besar terhadap pendidikan agama Islam. Pendidikan Islam dalam proses pembentukan kecerdasan emosional dan moral anak bersumber pada Al-Qur'an dan hadits. Pendidikan Islam berupaya agar manusia mampu menanamkan nilai-nilai agama dan moral. Kecerdasan emosional penting dalam pengendalian diri serta bagaimana sikap dan perilaku dalam menghadapi lingkungan selaras dengan tujuan pendidikan Islam. Implementasi pendidikan Islam dalam mengoptimalkan kecerdasan emosional adalah membangun akhlak Islami yaitu dengan melatih diri sendiri untuk berbuat ikhlas, bertawakal, sabar dan melakukan segala sesuatu sesuai dengan kadar dan kemampuan.
