Abstract

This study aims to analyze how digital transformation is implemented at SDN 2 Labuhan Lombok to improve services to students and parents, and to identify challenges encountered during the process. Digital transformation, in this context, encompasses changes to the learning system, administration, facilities, and technology-based counseling services. The study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that digital transformation has had a positive impact on communication effectiveness, administrative service efficiency, and parental involvement in the educational process. However, obstacles remain, such as limited infrastructure, low digital literacy, and minimal technology training for teachers and parents. With adequate infrastructure support and strengthening human resource capacity, digital transformation in elementary schools has the potential to sustainably improve the quality of educational services.

Abstract

Technological advances in teaching English have been established to support interesting media and authentic learning materials in language classes. This study investigates the implementation of internet-based media in the intermediate-speaking class provided by LearnEnglish Teens on the British Council Online Course. Using a qualitative descriptive research design, an exploration of the integrated activities in the classroom was observed using field notes. The results reveal that LearnEnglish Teens has a dynamic class atmosphere where students and lecturers can integrate fragment language skills into an integrative proficiency of language use by providing class stages to practice. Meanwhile, the negotiated activities in the class driven by the lecturer had also been described in detail in each stage such as regulating turn-taking, repetition, impulsive correction, assertive treatment, unlocking creativeness, equipping speaking organization, and generating useful expressions in specific- individualized practices.

Abstract

Dental caries remains a significant health problem among young children, especially in kindergarten.Data indicate a high prevalence of caries among children aged 4-6 years in Indonesia, which is attributed to a lack of knowledge about dental hygiene, improper toothbrushing techniques, and a habit of consuming sugary foods. This community service activity was conducted as an effort to detect and prevent dental issues early on, as childhood is a critical period for establishing healthy lifestyle habits. The objectives of this activity are: (1) To conduct early detection of dental caries; (2) To enhance children's and teachers' knowledge about oral health, and (3) To train proper brushing techniques through interactive educational approaches. The community service was conducted at Dharma Wanita Kindergarten, Kediri, involving 40 children aged 4–6 years. The methods used included: (1) Dental examinations, (2) Interactive education through lectures, demonstrations of toothbrushing using audio- visual media such as videos on proper toothbrushing techniques, jaw models (phantoms), and educational games, and (3) Knowledge assessment through pretest-posttest questionnaires. Data were analysed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that 72% of students had dental caries. Following the education, there was an improvement in students' understanding of how to maintain dental and oral health, as well as how to brush their teeth properly. The toothbrushing demonstration successfully improved the children's skills, with 95% able to practise the correct technique. Teachers responded positively to the programme. This activity was effective in increasing awareness and promoting dental health practices among preschool children. Collaboration between health workers and schools is essential for the sustainability of the programme. Recommendations: (1) Regular monitoring by the community health centre, (2) Integration of dental health materials into the early childhood education curriculum, and (3) Development of school dental health cadres.

Abstract

Nausea and vomiting (emesis) are typical joint symptoms in pregnancy. Nausea usually occurs in the morning but can also occur at any time of the night. Nausea and vomiting occur in 60-80% of primigravida and 40-60% of multigravida. Emesis gravidarum can interfere with daily activities and can even be dangerous for the mother and fetus. One of the complications of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy that is very dangerous for pregnant women and can have an impact on maternal and fetal death is excessive nausea and vomiting that continues to become hyperemesis gravidarum. Nausea and vomiting during pregnancy are felt by 50%-90% of pregnant women. Nausea and vomiting generally only occur in the first trimester of pregnancy, but 20% of women experience these symptoms throughout pregnancy that can interfere with daily activities. Quasy experiment with Pretest Posttest One Group design with 13 respondents. The work subjects of this study have a junior high school education level, all pregnant women are multigravida, and the majority are IRT. It was also found that the mean age of the research subjects was 26.0 ± 5.29 years and had a gestational age of 9.69 ± 2.28 months. The results showed that before the intervention, the average frequency of nausea and vomiting was 8 ± 2.34 times, while after the intervention, the average frequency was 5.0 ± 1.87 times. In addition, there was a decrease in the frequency of nausea and vomiting after the intervention by 3.0 ± 1.77 times. Abstract

Elevated blood sugar levels that exceed the established normal limits are a typical symptom of diabetes, a metabolic disorder. Traditional medicine is said to have fewer side effects than modern medicine, which has led to its long history of being favored by many people diagnosed with diabetes. People often use ginger as an herbal remedy for hypoglycemia. Ginger can be used as a natural antidiabetic drug due to the antiglycemic effect of its flavonoid content. To determine the comparison of blood glucose levels of mice (Mus musculus) given water decoction of ginger (Zingiber officinale) with metformin.Experimental research with pre and post test randomized controlled group design There was a decrease in the average blood glucose level of mice (Mus musculus) given water decoction of ginger (Zingiber officinale), from ±185.5 mg/dL to ±136.17 mg/dL, but not as good as metformin, which decreased from ±191 .17 mg/dL to ±108.67 mg/dL. Water decoction of ginger (Zingiber officinale) can reduce fasting blood glucose levels in mice (Mus musculus) although not as well as mice (Mus musculus) given metformin.
