Abstract

The rescue effort of handling the archives of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic at the Archives and Library Office of Mataram City aims to document and preserve information related to the COVID-19 pandemic in Mataram City. The rescue effort is carried out by identifying, collecting, processing, and storing COVID-19 archives in physical and digital forms. These archives include policy documents, statistical data, activity reports, and other documentation related to handling COVID-19 in Mataram City. This is crucial for several reasons. First, these archives have high historical value and can be used to study how Mataram City handled the COVID-19 pandemic. Second, these archives serve as research materials for developing future disaster management policies and strategies. Third, these archives serve as evidence of government accountability and transparency in handling the COVID-19 pandemic. The archive rescue effort at the Archives and Library Office of Mataram City is still in its early stages. However, this effort demonstrates the commitment of the Mataram City government to document and preserve information related to the COVID-19 pandemic. This rescue effort by the village community institution in Mataram City is an important step in preserving valuable information related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Collage students are academic individual with high levels of intellectual, critical thinking skills, and thoughtful planning in their actions. The quality of students can be observed through the academic achievements they attainment. Various factors can influence the academic performance of medical students, such as self-motivation, family support, campus environment, active participation in organizations, and individual differences in the significance of each factor. One effort to boost the motivation to excel is through a reflection approach, or muhasabah. In the context of medical education, self-reflection helps students become more aware of their personal strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to assess the pros and cons of their learning methods, identify their shortcomings, and find ways to improve, thereby encouraging continuous development of better study skills. This study aims to examine the impact of self-reflection on the academic performance of medical students. The method used is a literature review with a narrative review design to identify and summarize previously published articles on the influence of self-reflection on academic achievement. From the 12 articles reviewed, it was concluded that self-reflection is positive impacts students ' academic performance. Through self-reflection, students can enhance self-discipline and reflective skills in evaluating their learning methods, identifying weaknesses, and seeking improvements, which foster continuous improvement in study skills, ultimately contributing positively to academic performance.

Abstract

Reflection is an important method in medical education that has long been used to improve the quality of communication and learning. Reflection come from the Latin word reflectere, meaning “ to bend ” or “ to turn,” and refers to the process of self evaluation through reflection and analysis of experiences. Students with self reflection skills can develop into reflective practitioners. This lifelong learning process must be applied in medical education so that medical graduates can continue to apply it continuously in the health field. In medical education, the abilities to reflect not only increases the individual's capacity to act more effectively in similar situations in the future, but also help in the formation of a more balanced, calm, and objective professional attitude. Reflection and feedback is key elements in medical education because they support effective learning, the development of professional competence, and the formation of good attitudes and communication skills.

Abstract

Psychological is defined as a condition that exists within a person that can affect the attitudes and behavior of that individual, medical students are more vulnerable to psychological problems due to the difficult educational process and the mismatch between reality and expectations. The process causes medical students to face various kinds of stressors such as a large academic load , time pressure , adjustment to the campus environment and relationships with peers. Dhikr is a mental state in which a person remembers Allah. The dhikr method can also be applied to the learning of the medical profession. The relationship between psychological conditions and religion , such as the relationship between religion as a belief and mental health , depends on how a person submits himself to the Most High. Positive feelings such as happiness , joy , contentment , or security will arise due to a similar nature of surrender.

Abstract

Background: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami dan meningkatkan transformasi peran komite sekolah dalam pengelolaan pendidikan di era digital, khususnya di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Bogor. Dalam kondisi ideal, komite sekolah diharapkan berperan aktif dalam memberikan nasihat, mendukung kegiatan, mengawasi, dan menjadi penengah dalam pengambilan keputusan pendidikan yang semakin terintegrasi dengan teknologi digital. Namun, kenyataan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa meskipun komite sekolah di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Bogor telah melaksanakan tugasnya dengan baik, masih terdapat tantangan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk mendukung program-program sekolah secara lebih efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif, mengumpulkan data melalui penelitian dokumen, wawancara, dan observasi langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komite sekolah telah berperan baik dalam mendukung terealisasinya program sekolah, termasuk program unggulan yang melatih siswa menjadi mudzaki sejak dini dengan memanfaatkan platform digital. Program ini memberikan edukasi positif yang mengubah pola pikir siswa terhadap lingkungan sekitar dan meningkatkan literasi digital mereka. Dampak dari transformasi peran komite sekolah ini adalah peningkatan mutu pendidikan di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Bogor, dengan program kerja komite yang secara keseluruhan membantu mensukseskan program sekolah di era digital.   Background: This study aims to understand and improve the transformation of the role of the school committee in managing education in the digital era, especially in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Bogor. In ideal conditions, the school committee is expected to play an active role in providing advice, supporting activities, supervising, and becoming a mediator in educational decision-making that is increasingly integrated with digital technology. However, the reality in the field shows that although the school committee in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Bogor has carried out its duties well, there are still challenges in utilizing digital technology to support school programs more effectively. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method, collecting data through document research, interviews, and direct observation. The results of the study show that the school committee has played a good role in supporting the realization of school programs, including a superior program that trains students to become mudzaki from an early age by utilizing digital platforms. This program provides positive education that changes students' mindsets towards the surrounding environment and increases their digital literacy. The impact of this transformation of the role of the school committee is an increase in the quality of education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Bogor, with the committee's work program as a whole helping to make school programs a success in the digital era.

Abstract

Speaking is an important skill in language learning, while Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) is an approach that places emphasis on the relevance of learning in the context of students' real-life experiences. This study examines the impact of implementing CTL on students' speaking abilities. By integrating social context, culture, and daily experiences, students are more motivated to engage in speaking activities. The methodology employed encompasses observations, interviews, and an analysis of learning outcomes. The results demonstrated that the implementation of CTL significantly enhanced students' confidence in speaking and their communication skills. The findings suggest that a contextual approach can be an effective strategy for learning speaking, thereby encouraging students to be more active and relevant in communicating.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan terhadap sampel siswa/i SMP Pangudi Luhur Salatiga ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dukungan sosial orang tua dan monitoring orang tua terhadap self-esteem remaja awal. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Adapun alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berbentuk angket, yakni angket dukungan sosial orang tua, monitoring orang tua dan self-esteem. Metode analisa data yang digunakan adalah analisa regresi 2 prediktor dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial orang tua dan monitoring orang tua secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap self-esteem (F- reg=33.833; p-value<0.05), dan total sumbangan yang diberikan sebesar 48.11%. Masing-masing variabel memberikan sumbangan sebesar 12.42% dan 35.69%. Sumbangan Monitoring Orang Tua lebih besar (ß- MOT=0.525) dibandingkan sumbangan dari Dukungan Sosial Orang Tua (ß-DOT=0.206). Total sumbangan sebesar 48.11% menandakan bahwa masih ada variabel-variabel lain di luar penelitian ini yang dapat dijadikan sebagai prediktor self-esteem sebesar 51.89%.

Abstract

Campuranom Village is located in Bansari District, Temanggung Regency, where the majority of the population are farmers. As a result, literacy and formal education for children are often overlooked. This article aims to explore the potential of library revitalization as a literacy facility for children in Campuranom Village. By combining theoretical and empirical analysis, this study employs the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The results indicate that the revitalization of the Campuranom Village Library was carried out through physical improvements, literacy program socialization, and evaluation. Physical improvements included cleaning the library, organizing books through labeling and categorization, and creating a reading corner to attract children's interest. Socialization was conducted to reintroduce the library’s function to the community, particularly schoolchildren. Evaluation was conducted at each stage to ensure the program’s effectiveness. As a result, children's visits to the library increased to 5-10 visitors per day, demonstrating a rise in reading interest. However, some challenges remain, such as poor ventilation making the library uncomfortably hot and its location on the second floor, which makes access difficult. Overall, the revitalization successfully enhanced the library’s appeal, though further improvements are needed in comfort and accessibility.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Transfusi darah merupakan intervensi medis penting yang sering kali menjadi penentu keselamatan jiwa dalam kondisi darurat. Namun, dalam konteks Islam, praktik ini menimbulkan pertanyaan fiqhiyah karena Al-Qur’an dan Hadis tidak secara eksplisit membahasnya, sehingga diperlukan pendekatan ijtihadiyah untuk menetapkan hukumnya. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perspektif hukum Islam terkait transfusi darah melalui telaah literatur ilmiah, serta mengidentifikasi pendapat ulama dan dalil syar’i yang mendukung praktik tersebut sebagai bentuk penyelamatan jiwa. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan narrative literature review dengan metode pencarian data berdasarkan pendekatan PICO. Sumber data berasal dari jurnal ilmiah, laporan nasional, dan literatur relevan lainnya yang diperoleh melalui database elektronik seperti Google Scholar, PubMed, dan ResearchGate. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan tabel sintesis terhadap tujuh artikel terpilih. Hasil: Dari tujuh artikel yang dianalisis, enam membahas secara eksplisit hukum transfusi darah dalam Islam, dan satu artikel fokus pada manfaat donor darah secara medis. Sebagian besar artikel sepakat bahwa transfusi darah diperbolehkan, bahkan diwajibkan dalam kondisi darurat. Mayoritas ulama menganggap donor darah sebagai amal saleh, dengan dasar kaidah fikih “ad-darūrāt tubīḥu al-maḥẓūrāt” dan prinsip ḥifẓ al-nafs dalam maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah. Kesimpulan: Transfusi darah dalam pandangan Islam merupakan bentuk tolong-menolong dalam kebajikan  yang tidak hanya diperbolehkan, tetapi juga sangat dianjurkan dalam situasi darurat. Donor darah merupakan amal ibadah kontemporer yang mencerminkan nilai kemanusiaan dan solidaritas sosial. Disarankan agar edukasi mengenai transfusi darah ditingkatkan melalui kerja sama antara lembaga kesehatan dan institusi keagamaan untuk mendorong partisipasi masyarakat Muslim secara aktif dan sadar syar’i.

Abstract

Technological advances in teaching English have been established to support interesting media and authentic learning materials in language classes. This study investigates the implementation of internet-based media in the intermediate-speaking class provided by LearnEnglish Teens on the British Council Online Course. Using a qualitative descriptive research design, an exploration of the integrated activities in the classroom was observed using field notes. The results reveal that LearnEnglish Teens has a dynamic class atmosphere where students and lecturers can integrate fragment language skills into an integrative proficiency of language use by providing class stages to practice. Meanwhile, the negotiated activities in the class driven by the lecturer had also been described in detail in each stage such as regulating turn-taking, repetition, impulsive correction, assertive treatment, unlocking creativeness, equipping speaking organization, and generating useful expressions in specific- individualized practices.
