Abstract

Garbage that is disposed of at the Air Cold Disposal Site (TPA) does get treatment upon arrival there. With the sanitary landfill method, inorganic waste is piled up in each different zone. Meanwhile, the collected organic waste is processed into compost. However, as the population of Padang City increases, the amount of waste also increases. In this case, the cold water TPA itself will gradually run out of capacity. From the results of the analysis of the amount of waste generation carried out, it was found that the average amount of waste generated at the Waste Management Institute (LPS) in Air Tawa Timur Village was 1,815.3 kg/day. While the volume accommodated by the Temporary Disposal Site (TPS) is 6,831 m3

Abstract

This study examines the postponement of marriages at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in Koto Tangah District during the COVID-19 pandemic as an effort to address health and social challenges, focusing on the perspective of Islamic law. The government's social restrictions led many couples to postpone or cancel their weddings, especially during the large-scale social restrictions period. This research aims to understand marriage postponement as a strategy to navigate pandemic challenges from an Islamic law perspective in Koto Tangah District, Padang City, and its impact on couples and society. The method used is field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings show that marriage postponement was effectively carried out through schedule coordination with couples despite pressure from the brides and grooms. Health protocols were the primary reason for the delay, and KUA strictly limited the number of weddings if safety standards were not met. The postponements had significant psychological and economic effects on the couples, while society had mixed responses to the policy. KUA faced challenges in implementing marriage delays, especially regarding facilities and communication with engaged couples

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of specific financial variables on the performance of banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from financial reports and annual reports of listed banks over a five-year period from 2019 to 2023. These data were sourced from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange and individual bank websites. The analysis was conducted using regression analysis with the assistance of EViews 12 software. The results indicate that Capital Adequacy (CA) significantly affects Return on Assets (ROA) based on the Fixed Effect Model (FEM), Chow Test, and Random Effect Model (REM) analysis. The statistical tests confirm that variations in CA contribute to differences in bank performance, emphasizing the critical role of capital adequacy in determining profitability. The findings of this study suggest that capital adequacy is a key determinant of bank performance, highlighting its importance in maintaining financial stability and operational efficiency. Understanding the impact of financial variables on performance can help stakeholders assess the financial health of banks and make informed decision.

Abstract

One of the challenges in managing small-scale fisheries with limited data is the need for indicators to estimate the stock status and the total allowable catch for sustainable utilization of fish resources. This study aims to estimate the stock status, catch, and optimal fishing effort of the grouper fishery in Saleh Bay, West Nusa Tenggara Province by using the Length-based Spawning Potential Ratio analysis, production surplus model, and bioeconomic approach. Based on the results of this study, it is known that Plectopomus leopardus and Epinephelus coioides are in overexploited condition, while Plectropomus maculatus is in fully exploited status. This study also shows that with a bioeconomic approach, optimal conditions for grouper fisheries in these waters are achieved when the catch is 3,862.1 tonnes per year. The results of this study underline the importance of maximum economic yield-based management as a framework for a fishing quota-based system as an additional instrument in implementing sustainable fishery management in the future. The success of applying the quota system and the total allowable effort is determined by the accuracy of the catch data of small vessels around Saleh Bay under regulatory provisions, supervision and effective law enforcement, the socio-cultural conditions of local communities and the level of compliance with regulations. Keywords: fishing effort, grouper, overfished, quota system.

Abstract

Coaching is a partner of development in which a coach supports a learner in achieving a specific personal or professional goal by training and counselling. The pumping HR Model is one of the HR development models based on the iceberg theory, which is divided into the areas of the unconscious (unconscious region), pre-conscious (pre-conscious region) and conscious (conscious region). The pumping HR Model places the unconscious as a function of the heart, the pre-conscious as a function of the brain and the conscious as a sensory function of human resources (HR). In practice, Pumping HR Model touches on 3 basic components of human resource development, namely character development, competency development and behaviour development. This research goal is the purpose of this study is to prove that the Pumping HR model can be used as a model in the coaching process. The method used is qualitative descriptive & Integrating theory. Research data were obtained through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and post-workshop questionnaire.  The results of this research: Pumping HRM Coach is unique and can be one of the human resource development models with a coaching approach.

Abstract

The appropriate use of learning media can significantly influence students' motivation and learning outcomes. However, in the process of teaching visual arts, several issues often arise, such as: (1) students easily become bored because the learning media used are still conventional, such as black-and-white textbooks; (2) the delivery of material by teachers is less effective, resulting in students not fully understanding the material taught; (3) limited time for delivering both theoretical and practical aspects of art-making; and (4) a lack of innovation in the use of learning media by teachers. Therefore, selecting appropriate learning media is crucial to support the success of the teaching and learning process. This study aims to complement previous research that has been limited in reviewing literature related to the effectiveness of audio-visual learning media, particularly in visual arts subjects focusing on decorative motifs and the application of media in creative work. This research uses a literature review method by searching for scientific articles published between 2016 and 2024 via Google Scholar. The analysis in this study applies the PRISMA framework, which includes title, abstract, introduction, method, results, discussion, and conclusion. The findings of this study show that audio-visual media successfully increase students’ motivation and learning outcomes, attract their interest in learning, and provide new experiences in the learning process, especially considering that they were previously more accustomed to conventional media such as textbooks. The author discovered alternative media for creating decorative motif artworks using the batik technique, including dried banana leaves, lantung bark, teak wood, sengon wood, munggur wood, and klepu wood. This paper is expected to contribute new knowledge for teachers by offering references for creating decorative motif artworks through other creative media.
