Abstract

Abstract. Integrated Community Service (PKM) is a form of service that accommodates a series of activities as a whole. Assistance in making RPP independent learning in a cultural context on geometry material for teachers of SMP, SMA and SMK in Pagar Alam. The purpose of this service activity is to assist teachers in designing learning activities the use of cultural contexts, especially on geometry material. The participants of the integrated PKM activity consisted of 49 people but at the time of mentoring it was only attended by 28 participants. The service activity was carried out for 2 days, on October 5-6, 2021. The methods used during this mentoring activity were the method of presentation, discussion, interactive question and answer, and recitation. The data collection technique used a questionnaire/questionnaire given through a google form consisting of an activity evaluation questionnaire and a participant satisfaction questionnaire for all integrated PKM activities. The results of this service activity showed that 73.48% of the participants had understood the material presented by the resource person. In addition, participants stated that this activity was useful for them, especially in making learning activitis independent in learning to use certain contexts. Abstrak. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang terintegrasi merupakan sebuah bentuk pengabdian yang mengakomodir serangkaian kegiatan secara keseluruhan. Pendampingan pembuatan RPP merdeka belajar berkonteks budaya pada materi geometri bagi guru SMP, SMA dan SMK di Pagar Alam. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah membantu guru dalam merancang aktivitas pmebelajaran merdeka belajar yang sesuai melalui penggunaan konteks budaya terutama pada materi geometri. Peserta kegiatan PKM terintegrasi terdiri dari 49 orang tapi pada saat pendampingan hanya dihadiri oleh 28 orang peserta. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan selama 2 hari yaitu pada tanggal 5-6 Oktober 2021. Metode yang digunakan selama kegiatan pendampingan ini adalah metode presentasi, diskusi, tanya jawab interaktif, dan resitasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket/ kuesioner yang diberikan melalui google form yang terdiri dari angket evaluasi kegiatan dan angket kepuasan peserta terhadapa seluruh kegiatan PKM terintegrasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa adalah 73,48% peserta telah memahami materi yang disampaikan oleh narasumber. Di samping itu, peserta menyatakan bahwa kegiatan ini bermanfaat bagi mereka terutama dalam membuat aktivitas pembelajaran merdeka belajar menggunakan konteks tertentu.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMP setelah menggunakan e-modul berbasis STEM-PBL pada materi Kesebangunan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 26 siswa kelas VII di MTs N 3 Batang Hari. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa setelah menggunakan e-modul. Tes berpikir kritis siswa akan diukur berdasarkan 5 indikator berpikir kritis, yaitu (1) siswa dapat merumuskan pokok permasalahan; (2) mengungkapkan dan mengelola fakta; (3) membuat argumen logis, relevan dan akurat; (4) mampu menarik kesimpulan dan; (5) Evaluasi, serta angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari 26 siswa kelas VII.1 MTs N 3 Batanghari setelah menggunakan e-modul berada pada kategori tinggi dengan 1 siswa kategori “rendah”, 9 siswa dengan kategori “sedang” dan 16 siswa dengan kategori tinggi. Dengan persentase pada indikator berpikir kritis; (1) siswa dapat merumuskan pokok permasalahan mendapatkan persentase sebesar 92,30% yang termasuk kategori tinggi; (2) mengungkapkan dan mengelola fakta mendapatkan persentase sebesar 87,50% yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi; (3) membuat argumen logis mendapatkan persentase sebesar 83,65% yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi,; (4) mampu membuat kesimpulan dan mendapatkan persentase sebesar 82,69% yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi; (5) Mengevaluasi mendapatkan persentase sebesar 75,96% yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop and determine the quality of the product in the form of a PBL (Problem Based Learning) Integrated PISA (Programme For International Student Assessment) Module on the Curved Side Space Building material. This type of research is R&D (Research and Development) development research using the Four-D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) development model. The subjects of the study were students of grades IX J and IX K of Secondary School Number 11 Kota Jambi. The research instruments used included validation questionnaire sheets, practicality questionnaire sheets. The product in the form of a PBL-based Module integrated with PISA was declared valid with a percentage of expert assessment of 88.1% in the "very valid" category, which means that the module contains Curved Side Space Building material arranged based on PBL syntax, contains contextual problems integrated with PISA which are indicators of mathematical literacy skills. The results of the assessment based on teacher responses and student responses, the developed module received a practicality percentage of 93.5% with the "very practical" category, which means that the module can be used easily by teachers and students. Meanwhile, analyzed from students' answers to test questions, this module can bring out students' mathematical literacy skills

Abstract

Mathematical literacy stands as a critical skill imperative for navigating the complexities of the 21st century. Enhancing students' mathematical literacy necessitates comprehensive engagement across the educational landscape. This aligns with the Guru Penggerak (GP) initiative, established by the government to serve as educational leaders, propelling the entire educational system forward. Nonetheless, the current GP program needs more specific provisions addressing mathematical literacy, and the existing learning environments for mathematical literacy remain constrained. Consequently, there is a pressing need to develop a dedicated mathematical literacy learning environment within the GP framework. This study endeavors to create a mathematically literate learning environment that is both valid and practical, potentially impacting the GP program significantly. Employing a design research approach, the study progresses through three key stages: preliminary, prototyping, and assessment. Seven teachers participated as subjects, using data collection methodologies including walkthroughs, observations, questionnaires, and interviews, which were analyzed descriptively. Findings indicate the development of a model for a mathematical literacy learning environment termed D-C-C with the LEPscO framework, which is deemed valid due to its alignment with the PISA framework, Indonesian educational curriculum, and unambiguous language. Moreover, the model proves practical for implementation within the GP program, exhibiting potential effects such as enhanced teacher satisfaction, learning, organizational support, and utilization of new knowledge, alongside improved student outcomes reflecting heightened mathematical literacy proficiency. This research contributes to educational discourse by introducing the LEPscO Framework, encompassing a Digital-Class-Community learning environment, structured learning processes encompassing training, classroom implementation, knowledge sharing, and community development, and targeted learning outcomes focusing on teachers' comprehension and reinforcement of mathematical literacy in education.

Abstract

The background of the research is that skills are needed in accordance with the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, especially in the 21st century, namely critical thinking skills. For this reason, research is needed to determine the description of critical thinking skills. This research is a preliminary study that aims to describe the ability of critical thinking skills in learning science physics. Descriptive research method using google form. The research subjects were 33 students of SMP Negeri 59 Palembang. The results obtained are 25% of students are able to focus questions, 30% analyze questions, 32% consider reliable sources or not, 17% observe, consider observation reports, 39% do and consider deduction results, 38% do and consider induction results, 42% make and determine the value of judgment, 25% define, consider definitions, 21% identify assumptions, 44% determine actions, and 54% interact with others. The description of the critical thinking skills of junior high school students in the 4.0 industrial revolution era Physics science material is still in the low category, judging by the percentage of student responses. Suggestions for further research on efforts that can overcome the low critical thinking skills of junior high school students on Physics Science material.

Abstract

This study aims to produce learning media which valid and practical. The researcher uses design research type of development study with two stages, namely the preliminary stage and the prototyping stage. In the preliminary stage, the researcher analyzes the material in a flat shape and continues with making a flowchart to determine the order in which the material will be displayed on the learning media. At the prototyping stage, researcher use a formative evaluation flow consist of self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, small group, and field tests. In this study, the flow carried out only reached the small group stage. Data were collected by walkthroughs, questionnaires, interviews, and test. The research subject is seventh graders of SMP IT Izzuddin Palembang. The result of this study is a learning media which produced is valid and practical. The validity of a learning media is shown from the results of validation at the expert review and one-to-one stages which state that learning media are good in terms of content, construct, and language. The practicality of a learning media is also seen at the small group stage that students can use learning media well, can help students understand the material, and students are interested in using it.

Abstract

This study aimed to produce the Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS)’ questions of relation and function material that had validity and practicality and also had potential effect to support student’s creative thinking. This research was a descriptive research with design research method and development study type. The questions of relation and function material developed based on characteristics of Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) questions and followed stages of development study, such as: self evaluation, experts review, one-to-one, small group and field test. The subjects of this research were 38 students of eight grader from SMP Negeri 17 Palembang. They participated on one-to-one, small group and field test. Data collected using walkthroughs, interviews, questionnaires and tests. Validity of questions knew form experts review result based on content, construct and language. Practicality of questions knew from small group result about student’ understanding of purpose of questions and procedural of answering questions. Potential effect did known by test on field test stage. The result showed the HOTS’ questions of relation and function material truly supported student’s creative thinking. Abstract

The low mathematical literacy ability is the background of this study. The aim is to create PISA type mathematics questions with quantity content using the context of Jambi's specialty coffee that are valid, practical, and have a potential effect on mathematical literacy skills. The study method used is the design research model development studies, namely preliminary, prototyping with a series of formative evaluation stages including self-evaluation, expert review, one to one, small group, and field test and assessment phase. The study subjects were 29 students of class VIII SMP N 22 Jambi City. Data were obtained using walk through, tests, questionnaires and interviews. This study presents PISA type mathematics questions with quantity content, especially the topic of comparison. The context is personal, namely Jambi's specialty coffee. The questions produced are included in the reasoning level category. The questions produced are valid and easy qualitatively and have a potential effect on mathematical literacy skills. In addition, by linking mathematics questions to contexts known to students, such as Jambi coffee, it makes it easier for students to understand abstract mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil PISA siswa di Indonesia disebabkan kurang terbiasanya siswa dalam memecahkan soal berkarakteristik PISA khususnya pada konten uncertainty and data. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, pembelajaran perlu membiasakan siswa dengan metode penyelesaian soal PISA. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan soal matematika tipe PISA konten uncertainty and data menggunakan konteks Museum Siginjai Jambi untuk siswa SMP yang valid, praktis dan memiliki efek potensial terhadap literasi matematika siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Design research tipe development study. Soal dikembangkan dalam tiga tahap yaitu tahap preliminary, tahap formative evaluation, dan assessment phase (tahap penilaian). Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMPN 4 Kota Jambi yang berjumlah 26 siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara wawancara, tes, dan pemberian angket. Data menunjukkan presentase 78,7% kategori valid untuk validitas soal, dengan presentase 78,5% kategori praktis untuk praktikalitas pada tahap one-to-one dan untuk presentase 84% kategori sangat praktis untuk praktikalitas pada tahap small group. Hasil penelitian ini adalah soal matematika tipe PISA konten uncertainty and data menggunakan konteks Museum Siginjai Jambi untuk siswa SMP yang valid dan praktis. Selanjutnya, soal yang dihasilkan memiliki efek potensial terhadap literasi matematika siswa. AbstractThe low PISA results of students in Indonesia are caused by students' lack of familiarity in solving PISA-characteristic problems, especially in the content of uncertainty and data. To overcome this, learning needs to familiarize students with the PISA problem-solving method. Therefore, this study aims to develop PISA-type mathematics problems with uncertainty and data content using the context of the Siginjai Jambi Museum for junior high school students that are valid, practical and have a potential effect on students' mathematical literacy. The research method used is Design research type development study. The questions were developed in three stages, namely the preliminary stage, the formative evaluation stage, and the assessment phase. The subjects of this study were 26 students of Secondary School Number 4 Kota Jambi. Data were collected by interview, test, and questionnaire. The data shows a percentage of 78.7% valid category for question validity, with a percentage of 78.5% practical category for practicality at the one-to-one stage and for a percentage of 84% very practical category for practicality at the small group stage. The results of this study are PISA type mathematics questions with uncertainty and data content with the Jambi context for junior high school students that are valid and practical. Furthermore, the questions generated have a potential effect on students' mathematical literacy.

Abstract

Rendahnya capaian siswa Indonesia pada PISA yang hanya mampu mengerjakan soal pada level rendah, menegaskan perlunya pengembangan soal PISA dengan level tinggi untuk membiasakan siswa dalam mengerjakannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan soal matematika tipe PISA dengan menggunakan konteks benda bersejarah yang valid, praktis dan menimbulkan efek potensial terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 30 siswa kelas VIII SMP N 11 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model design research dengan tipe development studies, yang terdiri dari tahap preliminary, prototyping, dan assesment phase. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan wawancara, angket, dan lembar tes. Analisis hasil penelitian ini dilakukan secara kualitatif berdasarkan masukan dan saran validator, data dari lapangan yang didapat dari siswa pada saat siswa mengerjakan soal, dan analisis hasil jawaban siswa. Dan dilakukan secara kuantitatif berdasarkan angket validasi, dan angket praktikalitas butir soal. Hasil penelitian ini berupa pengembangan soal matematika tipe PISA level 6 menggunakan konteks Benda Bersejarah yang valid dan praktis. Selanjutnya soal yang dihasilkan memiliki efek potensial terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika.AbstractThe low achievement of Indonesian students in PISA who are only able to work on questions at a low level, emphasizes the need to develop high-level PISA questions to get students used to working on them. The subjects in this study were grade VIII students of Secondari School Number 11 Kota Jambi. This study is a development study using a design research model with a development studies type, consisting of preliminary, prototyping, and assessment phases. Data were collected using interviews, questionnaires, and test sheets. The analysis of the results of this study was carried out qualitatively based on input and suggestions from validators, data from the field obtained from students when students were working on the questions, and analysis of student answer results. And carried out quantitatively based on validation questionnaires, and questionnaires on the practicality of the question items. The results of this study are the development of PISA-type level 6 mathematics questions using the context of Historical Objects. After the questions were pilot tested, the resulting questions had the potential to impact mathematical literacy skills.
