Abstract

SMA Negeri 14 Semarang merupakan salah satu sekolah mitra Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) yang memperoleh penghargaan Adiwiyata Mandiri sejak tahun 2019. Secara global, program Adiwiyata setara dengan program Green School. Sebagai sekolah yang menyandang penghargaan Adiwiyata, tentu SMA Negeri 14 Semarang memiliki prasyarat utama yang memenuhi kriteria yang ditentukan. Jargon BERKELAS (Bersih, Estetik, Religius, Kreatif, Etik, Lugas, Adaptif, dan Sportif) yang dimiliki, merupakan gambaran semangat para pengelola sekolah tersebut untuk menjaga dan mempertahankan Adiwiyata. Seiring berjalannya waktu, kondisi prasarana hardware Adiwiyata, seperti keberadaan greenhouse dan tanaman-tanaman di halaman sekolah, perlu mendapat perhatian. Greenhouse mengalami penurunan fungsi, hanya tanaman tertentu saja yang masih hidup, tanaman di halaman sekolah banyak yang mati dan harus diganti. Ditinjau dari aspek green school dan keindahan sudah seharusnya dibenahi, dan perlu dipertimbangkan juga pemanfaatan greenhouse dan taman halaman sekolah sebagai sumber belajar siswa, terutama pada topik Keanekaragaman Hayati, mata pelajaran Biologi. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini untuk melakukan revitalisasi dan pembenahan kembali keberadaan greenhouse dan taman halaman sekolah agar dapat memenuhi dua tujuan, yaitu mempertahankan Adiwiyata dan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar siswa yang berorientasi pada kesadaran dan perilaku berkonservasi di SMA Negeri 14 Semarang. Kegiatan ini juga mendukung implementasi pendidikan berkelanjutan (Education for Sustainable Development), sebagai salah satu SDGs. Metode yang diterapkan untuk memecahkan masalah dalam kegiatan ini adalah (1) analisis permasalahan mitra di SMA Negeri 14 Semarang, (2) merumuskan solusi/revitalisasi/inovasi, (3) pelaksanaan kegiatan, dan (4) monitoring dan evaluasi hasil kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa telah dilakukan perbaikan fisik greenhouse, penambahan species tanaman, serta penataan greenhouse dan taman halaman sekolah. Greenhouse dan taman halaman sekolah SMA Negeri 14 Semarang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar siswa, khususnya pada materi Keanekaragaman Hayati.

Abstract

Ngesrepbalong yang terletak di Kabupaten Kendal Provinsi Jawa Tengah sangat aktif melakukan kegiatan konservasi alam, antara lain konservasi anggrek spesies dari Gunung Ungaran. Untuk mendukung konservasi anggrek, pada tahun 2023 di desa tersebut telah didirikan laboratorium kultur jaringan tanaman (KJT) skala sederhana, namun keterampilan mitra menggunakannya baru mencapai 30%. Permasalahan tersebut diakibatkan oleh  1)  keterampilan menggunakan alat laboratorium dan melaksanakan tahap-tahap KJT belum optimal, serta  2) jumlah dan jenis alat dan bahan laboratorium belum mencukupi. Solusi yang telah dilakukan adalah menyelenggarakan pelatihan tentang 1) teknik penggunaan alat laboratorium  dan teknik melaksanakan tahap-tahap KJT, serta 2)  pengadaan tambahan alat dan bahan laboratorium KJT.  Peserta kegiatan atau mitra sasaran adalah 13 orang pegiat konservasi. Kegiatan yang dilakukan  meliputi pelatihan, peragaan, praktek, pengadaan alat dan bahan laboratorium, pendampingan, monitoring dan evaluasi.  Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa  1) 77% peserta mencapai pemahaman kategori baik dan sangat baik tentang penggunaan alat dan teknik KJT dan 100%  peserta mempunyai ketrampilan yang baik dalam membuat media KJT dan melakukan aklimatisasi plantlet, dan 2) terdapat peningkatan 18 jenis alat dan 20 jenis bahan laboratorium sehingga Laboratorium KJT Desa Ngesrepbalong memadai untuk melakukan perbanyakan anggrek dengan teknik KJT skala sederhana. Ketrampilan melakukan teknik KJT yang baik  ditunjukkan dari  media kultur yang dibuat peserta 100% berhasil memadat, homogen dan tidak mengalami kontaminasi dan 98% plantlet hasil aklimatisasi tumbuh secara optimal di rumah kasa.  Adanya laboratorium dan ketrampilan  KJT dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut menjadi alternatif obyek kunjungan wisata berbasis pendidikan  di Desa Ngesrepbalong yang telah ditetapkan sebagai desa wisata.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop and implementation of a teaching module containing Islamic values on the human reproductive system material to improve critical thinking. The development research method used ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data were obtained analysis, questionnaires, and tests (pre-post). The module was analyzed by expert validators. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis and statistical analysis. The results of the study showed that the characteristics of the teaching module were interactive. The teaching module was packaged with an attractive visual design and systematic layout, the integration of verses from the Qur’an and Hadith related to the human reproductive system, and the presence of special features such as Islamic Values and Critical Thinking designed to stimulate students’ critical thinking skills so that students were interested in reading it. The validity value of the teaching module was declared very valid based on the assessment of media experts at 93.80% and material experts at 97.04%. The practicality value of the teaching module was declared very practical based on the teacher’s assessment at 89.24% and the student’s assessment at 85.69%. The value of increasing students’ critical thinking skills was analyzed through N-Gain analysis per indicator with an average result of 0.85 (high). It can be conclude that the teaching module has interactive.

Abstract

Indonesia has a high vulnerability to disasters, but the integration of disaster education in the curriculum is often still sporadic so that it has an impact on students' low science literacy. Conventional methods are considered inadequate, so a transition to a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model is needed which is strengthened with a Deep Learning approach. This study aims to analyze and synthesize the current scientific literature landscape regarding the effectiveness of PBL integration with Deep Learning in disaster mitigation science learning. Using  the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method which refers to the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, this study examines empirical articles from the Scopus database for the period 2015–2025 which were analyzed with the help of VOSviewer. The results show that the current research trend is dominated by the social science education domain with a focus on Active Learning to improve higher level thinking skills (HOTS), but significant methodological gaps were found in the form of a lack of studies that integrate PBL and Deep Learning syntaxin its entirety in the context of science. This study concludes the need for a new conceptual framework that synergizes problem-solving structures with deep information processing to build adaptive and disaster-responsive science literacy.

Abstract

Mangrove degradation and socio-economic vulnerability in the Kendal coast require an integrated approach. The study used ecological surveys (mangrove vegetation analysis, avifauna) and socio-economic (n=186 households). Integrated Coastal Management (ICM) analysis and model were developed using a dynamic approach, encompassing problem identification, conceptual model formulation, and validation preparation. 14 mangrove species (H' index = 1.58–1.80) and 61 bird species (H' = 3.50) were found. Community participation reached 97%, but women's participation was only 3%, with 58% of households being landless and 61% unproductive land. Infrastructure was severely damaged (36% of roads) and 97% of the area was flooded. The dynamic model of ICM in Kendal Regency highlighted coastal biodiversity conservation, enhanced community capacity and participation, and secure land ownership as the primary drivers of sustainable coastal governance. Despite ongoing pressures from coastal hazards and urban expansion, biodiversity conservation remained the pivotal intervention, sustaining ecosystem integrity, improving household incomes, and reinforcing socio-economic resilience through positive feedback loops within the coastal social–ecological system.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an initial quantitative mapping of coastal students’ science literacy related to tidal flood mitigation, addressing the limited contextual understanding of disaster adaptation in schools. Using a quantitative descriptive survey design, the study involved 360 students from three coastal vocational high schools selected through proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected through a PISA-based science literacy test and disaster mitigation perception questionnaires, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, One-Way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation tests. The findings showed that students’ overall science literacy was at a moderate level (mean = 68.61). Students demonstrated relatively good data interpretation skills (mean = 76.83), while their ability to explain natural phenomena scientifically remained lower (mean = 62.15). The ANOVA test indicated no significant difference in science literacy among the three schools (p = 0.946). In addition, a very strong positive correlation (r = 0.82) was observed between science literacy and students’ perceptions of disaster resilience. The novelty of this study lies in its integration of coastal disaster literacy mapping with a deep-learning pedagogical approach grounded in local wisdom. These findings provide empirical evidence that science literacy in coastal schools remains insufficiently connected to students’ environmental realities, highlighting the importance of contextual and culturally responsive science learning for disaster mitigation education.
