Abstract

The result of observation during the teaching internship program (PPL) show that the teaching and learning activitiesin SMP Mataram Semarang still apply teacher centered learning. Besides, the question and answer session in theteaching and learning activities are still relatively low. Report of the national examination results at SMP MataramSemarang in the academic year 2014/2015 by BSNP indicate that the absorption of students on the material ofaddictive substances and psychotropic is still low at 34,29%. An effort to do is to apply the learning model SnowballThrowing through Word Square media. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the learning modelSnowball throring through Word Square media toward the activity and the result of student’s learning in the materialof addictive substance and psycothropic. This research is a Quasi Experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design.The results of the study showed that the liveliness of experimental group was 92%, while in the control group was 76%.The classical completeness of cognitive achievement in the experimental group was 88%, while in the control group was48%. The results of t-test showed that there is significant difference on cognitive achievement of the experimental groupagainst the control group. The result of N-gain also showed that the improvement in cognitive achievement of theexperimental group was higher than the control group. The classical completeness of affective achievement of theexperimental group was 92%, while the control group was 80%. It can be concluded that the learning model SnowballThrowing through Word Square media is effective toward the activity and the results of student’s learning in thematerial of addictive substance and psychotropic. So, Snowball Throwing through Word Square media can bepractice on the material of addictive substance and psychotropic and other material that have same problem.

Abstract

Student learning outcomes of human reproductive system material under passing grade become an obstacle for students to achieve the learning objectives. Some students are not enthusiastic about human reproductive system material because it is considered difficult. Students still do not understand related to the structure and function of reproductive organ systems, abnormalities and hormones. Based on the problems above then it takes a learning to attract attention or enthusiasm of students. Media is one of the important factors of teaching and learning process. Use of media aims to facilitate teachers in convey learning so students become more easily understand the material. The purpose of this research is to analyze the usage effectiveness of video and mama card in Biology lesson of human reproductive system material. This research used True Experimental Design with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The analysis of data includes quantitative data to student activities and learning outcomes, then descriptive analysis to teacher’s opinion and students’ opinion. The result of this research showed that student activities and student learning outcomes in the experimental class is higher than the control class. Teacher and students gave positive reviews to the learning process. Based on the result of research, it was concluded that use of video and mama card was effective in increasing student activities and student learning outcomes in human reproductive system material.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of applying uno-assisted bioedutainment strategy on students’ learning outcomes in invertebrate material. This study uses a non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study is the students of class X SMA Institut Indonesia Semarang. X.4 and X.5 were selected as samples using purposive sampling technique. The result of the study showed that there were significant differences in the data of the second post tested class. T test analysis of post test students shows t count> t table. The conclusion of this study is that the learning using uno cards in invertebrate material has a positive effect on the students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji proses pengembangan dan keefektifan multimedia interaktif dengan education game pada pembelajaran IPA terpadu tema cahaya untuk siswa SMP/MTs. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D). Ada dua tahapan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu tahap proses pengembangan multimedia interaktif dengan education game dan uji efektivitas. Dalam penelitian ini efektivitas diukur dari siswa yang memiliki minat dan aktivitas sangat tinggi mencapai 75% total siswa, dan siswa yang mencapai nilai  mencapai 75% total siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penilaian validator terhadap multimedia interaktif sangat layak. Pada  uji coba skala kecil dan skala besar siswa memberikan penilaian sangat layak dan layak pada multimedia interaktif. Selain itu tanggapan siswa dan guru terhadap multimedia interaktif menunjukan tanggapan yang sangat baik. Pada uji coba pemakaian diketahui bahwa semua kriteria efektif dapat terpenuhi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa multimedia interaktif dengan education game efektif dan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran IPA terpadu tema cahaya untuk siswa SMP/MTs. The study aimed to analyze the process of development and effectiveness of interactive multimedia with education game on integrated science learning light themes for Junior High School students. This is a Research and Development (R&D) work. In the study there are two steps. The first one is the process of developing interactive multimedia with education game. The second one is effectiveness test. The result of the study that is validator consider interactive multimedia is very feasible. In the small scale and big scale test the students consider it is very feasible and feasible. In addition, the students and teachers’s response toward the interactive multimedia are well. In the test of usage it is known that all effective criteria is fulfilled. According to the result of the study with interactive multimedia is effective and feasible to use as the learning media integrated science of light themes for Junior High School students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi adanya tuntutan pelaksanaan pembelajaran terpadu pada mata pelajaran IPA di tingkat SMP. Dalam mengimplementasikan tuntutan tersebut terdapat beberapa hambatan, yaitu buku yang digunakan berupa Buku Sains Elektronik (BSE) yang masih menyajikan materi secara terpisah dan media pembelajaran yang digunakan juga belum terpadu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sebuah media pembelajaran IPA terpadu yang layak dan efektif digunakan dalam bentuk LKS jigsaw puzzle. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Data dalam penelitian ini adalah validasi produk oleh pakar, hasil pretest postest, angket tanggapan siswa terhadap LKS jigsaw puzzle dan data aktifitas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian LKS oleh pakar memiliki kriteria sangat layak dengan rata-rata perolehan skor sebesar >90% dan LKS yang dikembangkan dikatakan efektif karena hasil belajar meningkat sesuai dengan rumus N-gain yang mendapat 0,54. The background of this research is the implementation of the demands of integrated learning in science subjects at the level of SMP. There are several problems to implement because the instruction material presented the science material separately and the media content. This reseanch aims to develop an integrated science learning media using puzzle to make the learning process can be more interesting. The aims of the study is to produce a science integrated suitable and effective learning media through worksheet jigsaw puzzle. The research method is a research and development (Research and Development). The data analyzed in this study is the data product validation by the experts, the results of the pretest posttest, the students’ responses to the questionnaire jigsaw puzzle worksheets and data of students’ activity. The results of the research showed that the assessment criteria worksheets by the experts very suitable with an average gain score of >90% and worksheets that were developed to be effective for increasing learning outcomes in accordance with the formula N-gain which got 0.54.

Abstract

Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) dengan media Fotonovela keanekaragaman hayati terhadap kemampuan psikomotorik siswa di SMAN 1 Boja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperimental Design dengan bentuk Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X semester gasal tahun ajaran 2016/2017 sebanyak sembilan kelas. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu kelas X MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X MIPA 5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data diperoleh dengan nilai produk, aktivitas siswa pada saat presentasi dan nilai akhir siswa, kemudian data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil analisis rerata nilai akhir siswa kelas eksperimen yaitu 3,52 dengan predikat A-, sedangkan kelas kontrol yaitu 2,94 dengan predikat B. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai rerata kelas eksperimen lebih dari kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) dengan media Fotonovela keanekaragaman hayati efektif terhadap kemampuan psikomotorik siswa di SMAN 1 Boja. Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ This study aimed to test the effectiveness of the learning model Project Based Learning (PjBL) with media fotonovela biodiversity against psychomotor abilities of students at SMAN 1 Boja. This study uses Quasi Experimental Design with shapes Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were students of class X odd semester of 2016/2017 academic year as many as nine classes. Sampling using purposive sampling, that the class X MIPA as an experimental class 1 and class X MIPA 5 as the control class. Data obtained by the value of the product, student activities at the time of presentation and final grades of students, then the data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the analysis of the average value of the final grade students experiment ie 3.52 predicate A-, while the control class that is 2,94 with the predicate B. So it can be concluded that the average value of the experimental class more than the control class. Based on the results of this study concluded that the learning model Project Based Learning (PPA) with media biodiversity fotonovela effective against psychomotor abilities of students at SMAN 1 Boja.

Abstract

Peningkatan gas-gas efek rumah kaca menyebabkan terjadinya pemanasan global yang berdampak langsung mengakibatkan perubahan iklim  dan  sea  level  rise.  Upaya  mitigasi dapat  dilakukan dengan meningkatkan peran mangrove sebagai penjerap karbon. Ekosistem mangrove yang banyak terdapat di wilayah pesisir, mempunyai kemampuan yang sangat efektif dalam mengurangi konsentrasi gas karbondioksida (CO2) di alam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi karbon tersimpan pada tegakan mangrove di Wilayah Tapak, Kota Semarang. Metode yang digunakan, yakni non destructive Test dengan persamaan allometrik pada mangrove tegakan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara  purposive sampling,  dengan  mempertimbangkan  kerapatan  dan  lokasi  tumbuh  yang  terdapat  pada  wilayah penelitian.  Hasil  penelitian  menunjukan  mangrove  di  Dukuh  Tapak  memiliki  kandungan  biomassa sebesar sebesar 1507,91 ton/ha,  kandungan stok karbon sebesar 708,2 ton C/ha, dan mampu menyerap CO2  sebesar 2598,65 ton/ha. Pola hubungan antara kerapatan dengan biomassa, biomassa dengan stok karbon, dan stok karbon dengan serapan CO2 menunjukkan adanya tiga macam persamaan yang memiliki nilai korelasi (R) yang positif masing-masing sebesar 0,67, 1,00, dan 1,00.

Abstract

Peningkatan gas-gas efek rumah kaca sebagai hasil berbagai aktivitas manusia dapat menyebabkan terjadinya pemanasan global. Salah satu dampak dari pemanasan global yaitu perubahan iklim. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengurangi dampak tersebut adalah meningkatkan peran mangrove sebagai penyerap karbon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kandungan stok karbon pada tegakan mangrove dan C-organik pada sedimen mangrove. Metode sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode purposive sampling untuk menentukan enam stasiun penelitian, sampel diambil sekali tanpa pengulangan. Analisis C-organik menggunakan metode Spektrofotometri. Hasil penelitian menunjukan mangrove di Dukuh Tapak memiliki kandungan biomassa sebesar sebesar 1507,91 ton/ha, stok karbon sebesar 708,2 ton C/ha, dan mampu menyerap CO2 sebesar 2598,65 ton/ha. Pola hubungan antara kerapatan dengan biomassa, biomassa dengan stok karbon, dan stok karbon dengan serapan CO2 menunjukkan adanya tiga macam persamaan yang memiliki nilai korelasi (R) yang positif yaitu sebesar 0,67, 1,00, dan 1,00. Jenis sedimen pada penelitian ini yaitu lumpur berpasir dengan rata-rata C-organik sedimen mangrove sebesar 4,4 %. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kandungan stok karbon mangrove di Dukuh Tapak lebih tinggi dari penelitian stok karbon di pulau Kemujan TN. Karimunjawa dan kandungan C-organik sedimen mangrove di Dukuh Tapak termasuk dalam kriteria tinggi. The enhancement of gases greenhouse effects as a result of human activities contribute to global warming. One of the effects of global warming is the climate change. One of the efforts which should be made to reduce these impacts is improve the role of mangroves as carbon sinks. The purpose of this study is to determine the content of carbon stock in mangrove stands and C-organic in mangrove sediments. The sampling method used in this research was purposive sampling method, in order to determine the six research stations, samples were taken once without repetition. C-organic analysis using spectrophotometry method. The results showed that mangrove in Tapak hamlet has a biomass content of at 1507.91 tons/ha, the carbon stock of 708.2 tons C/ha and capable of absorbing CO2 of 2598.65 tons/ha. The pattern of the relationship between the density of the biomass, the biomass carbon stock and carbon stock with CO2 uptake showed three kinds of equations that has a value of correlation (R) were positive in the amount of 0.67, 1.00, and 1.00, respectively. The sediment type in this study is sandy mud with an average C-organic mangrove sediments of 4.4 %. The conclusion of this research is the content of carbon stocks in Tapak hamlet mangrove is igher than the carbon stock research on the Kemujan island TN. Karimunjawa and the content of C-organic mangrove sediments in Tapak hamlet is in the high criteria.

Abstract

Efforts to overcome global warming and climate change are integrated with science learning with the socio-scientific issues method. Materials on global warming and climate change are included in an interactive e-book that integrates the peat ecosystem's socio-scientific issues (SSI). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Integrated Interactive E-book SSI Ecosystem Peat on learning outcomes and students' environmental care attitudes. The research subjects were 30 grade VII students of SMPN 5 Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan. The result is that SSI's integrated interactive e-book is effective in improving learning outcomes. The results of the SPSS test with a significance value of 0.05 showed a value of 0.008. There is a difference in the mean of the pretest and posttest results, with an N-gain value of 1.66 with low criteria. SSI's Integrated Interactive E-book is effective to improve students' environmental care attitude with an average score of 89.8% with the criteria of being very caring

Abstract

Abstract Tugurejo is one of the villages in Tugu District, Semarang City, which received the thematic village program 2020-2021, with the theme of developing local potential to support conservation in coastal areas. Based on the coordination and SWOT, priority activities are produced to realize the development of thematic villages, based on local potential, in supporting the conservation of coastal areas, including: the use of environmentally friendly water storage ponds and support the conservation of coastal areas, infrastructure for fishing ponds, the development of SMEs in supporting the development of fishing ponds and strengthening the management of the Elok Gate thematic village group. Service activities are carried out with several approaches that are carried out together with partners: group-based, comprehensive, and local potential-based. In accordance with the objectives of the activity, the method that will be adopted in this community service activity will be implemented in 4 stages of activity, namely; (1) Socialization, (2) Competence Improvement, (3) Implementation of Activities, and (4) Monev. The success of the service goals is shown by the following results: the existence of a fish pond that also functions as a flood shelter pond, is part of the conservation of environmentally friendly coastal areas. To support the existence of fishing ponds, the MSME outlets were built by the Gerbang Elok team. MSME outlets are needed as supporting infrastructure for the convenience of visitors. For program sustainability, group management has also been strengthened. The existence of these service activities is very helpful for the community in developing local potential in their area, by empowering the community. Abstrak Tugurejo merupakan salah satu kelurahan yang di Kecamatan Tugu, Kota Semarang, yang mendapatkan program kampung tematik 2020-2021, dengan tema pengembangan potensi local untuk mendukung konservasi di wilayah pesisir. Berdasarkan koordinasi dan SWOT dihasilkan prioritas kegiatan untuk mewujudkan pengembangan kampung tematik, berbasis potensi lokal, dalam mendukung koservasi wilayah pesisir, meliputi: pemanfaatan kolam tampungan air yang ramah lingkungan dan mendukung konservasi wilayah pesisir, sarpras kolam pancing, pengembangan UMKM dalam mendukung berkembangnya kolam pancingan serta penguatan manajemen kelompok kampung tematik Gerbang Elok. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan beberapa metode pendekatan yang dilakukan secara bersama-sama dengan mitra: berbasis kelompok, komprehensif, dan berbasis potensi lokal. Sesuai dengan tujuan kegiatan, metode yang akan ditempuh dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini akan diimplementasikan dalam 4 tahapan kegiatan, yakni; (1) Sosialisasi, (2) Peningkatan Kompetensi, (3) Pelaksanaan Kegiatan, serta (4) Monev. Keberhasilan tujuan pengabdian ditunjukkan dengan beberapa hasil sebagai berikut: adanya keberadaan kolam ikan yang juga berfungsi sebagai kolam penampungan banjir, merupakan bagian dari konservasi wilayah pesisir yang ramah lingkungan. Untuk mendukung keberadaan kolam pancing dilakukan pembangunan gerai UMKM oleh tim Gerbang Elok. Gerai UMKM diperlukan sebagai sarpras pendukung untuk kenyamanan pengunjung. Untuk keberlanjutan program, telah dilakukan pula penguatan manajemen kelompok. Adanya kegiatan pengabdian tersebut sangat membantu masyarakat dalam mengembangkan potensi local di wilayahnya, dengan pemberdayaan masyarakat.
