Abstract

The minimum skill of students in critical thinking to solve a problem can be an obstacle in teaching and learning processes and development of their intellectual potential. This research aims to analyze how much influence the cooperative learning type group investigation model has on student critical thinking skills in social studies courses. This research uses a quasi-experimental two-group pretest-posttest design with a sample of 63 with 34 students (experimental class) and 29 students (control class). Data were collected through observation method and tests (pre-test and post-test). Data were analysed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques, while hypothesis testing was conducted using the Wilcoxon method. The results showed that the hypothesis tested via Wilcoxon test was in the control class where the analysis results indicated a significance value of 0.071 in the control group and a significance value of >0.001 in the experimental group. Thus, the result in the experimental class is >0.001 which is >0.05, there is a difference in the group investigation type cooperative learning model on students' critical thinking skills in class A6-23. The results indicated that group investigation, as a cooperative learning model is effective in improving student critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial) has emerged as a promising pedagogical approach to integrating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into elementary education. This literature review synthesizes recent studies (2021–2025) on the implementation of PjBL in IPAS and its impact on environmental awareness among elementary school students. The review reveals that PjBL fosters active learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills by engaging students in real-world environmental projects such as waste management, biodiversity conservation, and eco-campaigns. These activities align with SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). Findings indicate that PjBL significantly enhances students’ understanding of sustainability issues and promotes pro-environmental behaviors. The study concludes that PjBL-IPAS learning offers a transformative pathway to cultivating environmentally conscious citizens and advancing the SDGs through foundational education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) sebagai bagian dari penguatan pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di SDN Sukomulyo, dengan menekankan seni kriya sebagai media kontekstual dalam menginternalisasi nilai-nilai luhur Pancasila. Fokus utama penelitian diarahkan pada kontribusi nyata P5 dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran karakter berbasis nilai. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan guru, kepala sekolah, dan siswa, serta dokumentasi proses perencanaan hingga hasil karya siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa P5 berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter siswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang menekankan pada nilai gotong royong, kemandirian, tanggung jawab, dan kepedulian sosial. Nilai-nilai tersebut diaktualisasikan secara konkret dalam praktik seni kriya, yang tidak hanya melatih keterampilan motorik halus dan kreativitas, tetapi juga menjadi wadah refleksi nilai-nilai Pancasila. SDN Sukomulyo merespons tantangan tersebut dengan strategi kolaboratif. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya sinergi antara mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila, seni, dan proyek P5 dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang membina keterampilan abad ke-21 dan karakter kebangsaan siswa. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan model pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila yang lebih kontekstual melalui seni kriya sebagai media penguatan nilai dan ekspresi budaya lokal di tingkat sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has not been fully matched by digital literacy and the readiness of prospective teachers to integrate it into learning. This study aims to analyze the perceptions of elementary school teacher education students regarding the use of AI in learning. A descriptive quantitative method enriched with qualitative data from semi-structured interviews was employed. The research involved 85 second- and fourth-semester students selected using incidental sampling techniques. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire for quantitative data, and interviews to deepen survey findings. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively, while qualitative data were processed using thematic analysis techniques. The results revealed that most students had positive perceptions of AI, particularly in improving learning efficiency, facilitating access to information, and supporting content understanding. However, students also identified risks that need attention, such as the potential for plagiarism, excessive dependency, and a decline in critical thinking and social interaction skills. The study concludes that comprehensive AI literacy is essential for prospective teachers to optimize and responsibly utilize technology. The study recommends integrating AI literacy programs into teacher education curricula and conducting further research on the long-term impacts of AI implementation on learning outcomes in the digital era.

Abstract

One of the most critical learning tools is the Student Worksheet (LKDP). The LKPD used needs to improve students' conceptual understanding and learning independence, especially in Pancasila Education. Pancasila Education prepares students as citizens who master knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values. This study aims to analyze the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of RADEC Learning-based LKPD to improve conceptual understanding and learning independence. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall development model. The research subjects were fourth-grade elementary school students. Data collection techniques used in this study were tests and non-tests, namely interviews, tests, observations, and questionnaires. The data obtained were then analyzed for validity, practicality, and effectiveness through pre-tests, t-tests, MANOVA tests, and N-Gain scores. The results of the n-gain score analysis showed that the n-gain scores for conceptual understanding and learning independence were higher in the experimental class compared to the control class. The t-test and Manova test results at a significance level of 0.05 showed that student worksheets based on RADEC learning significantly influenced the conceptual understanding and learning independence of fourth-grade elementary school students, with significance values of 0.003 and 0.000 (p<0.005). RADEC-based student worksheets have been proven effective in improving students' conceptual understanding and learning independence.
