Abstract

The world of construction is currently experiencing very rapid development. This can be seen from various countries that are competing to improve the quality and quantity of their buildings. Indonesia is one of the developing countries that is increasing infrastructure development with the aim of supporting services to the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition of Superplasticizer SR 300. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the addition of Superplasticizer SR 300 on the compressive strength of concrete fc' 26.4 MPa, the method used in the compressive strength test is SNI 03-2834-2000. The results of this study can be concluded as follows; Standard concrete compressive strength (BS) of 26.59 Mpa, the largest concrete compressive strength value with the addition of SR 300 by 1.5% (SR300-1) aged 28 days of 28.02 MPa, a simple regression model with the equation Y = -1.822x + 29.275, and the coefficient of determination R2 bernilain 0.6919, the addition of SR 300 influences the value of concrete compressive strength and specific gravity of concrete aged 28 days categorized as normal concrete.

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana permainan lego math dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi operasi perkalian bilangan bulat pada siswa kelas III B SDN Pengawu Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Rancangan penelitian ini mengacu pada model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang terdiri dari empat komponen, yaitu 1) perencanaan, 2) pelaksanaan tindakan, 3) observasi, dan 4) refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah, pemberian tes, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes berbentuk uraian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu: (1) reduksi data, (2) penyajian data, dan (3) penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas III B SDN Pengawu mengalami peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada materi operasi perkalian bilangan bulat, dengan peningkatan masing-masing sebesar 10,5% dan 14,75%. Metode ini juga meningkatkan ketuntasan belajar klasikal dan daya serap klasikal masing-masing sebesar 23,8% dan 9,4%. Adapun langkah-langkah permainan Lego Math dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan pemecahan masalah matematis, yaitu: (1) meninjau permainan Lego Math, (2) menjelaskan prosedur dan aturan permainan, (3) mengatur siswa secara berkelompok, (4) memberikan kartu soal dan Lego, serta (5) memulai permainan.

Abstract

Komunikasi matematis merupakan komponen penting dalam mendukung pencapaian hasil belajar matematika peserta didik di sekolah. Esensi komunikasi matematis adalah proses penyampaian gagasan matematika baik secara lisan maupun tulisan, dari satu bentuk ke bentuk yang lain. Perubahan bentuk-bentuk simbol, gambar, diagram, tabel yang mewakili proses mental setiap peserta didik akan dibentuk menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw (sebagai perlakuan). Tipe Jigsaw diyakini memiliki kontribusi positif terhadap perkembangan komunikasi matematis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 5 Palopo, dengan metode eksperimen dan desain One - Group Pretest Posttest Design. Komunikasi matematis peserta didik sebelum diberikan perlakuan berada pada kategori rendah dengan skor rata-rata 43,90 dan setelah diberikan perlakuan berada pada kategori sedang dengan skor rata-rata 75,31. Secara inferensial, melalui uji statistik One-Sample Test diperoleh nilai signikansi sebesar 0.001 < 0.05. Disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan komunikasi matematis peserta didik secara signifikan melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the misconceptions made by Unisa Mathematics Education students about the concept of limit.  The research method used was a descriptive qualitative approach or survey design, where data were collected through comprehension tests, interviews, and observations of 16 students. The results showed that students consider limit as something that is not reached, limit is an estimate, limit is a boundary, and a function will always have a limit at a certain point. Other misconceptions are that students consider limit as a substitution process, even though the substitution process causes the denominator to become 0, students still write 0, and they think that when the function has a limit value, the function is defined at a certain point and must be continuous. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of more effective learning strategies to overcome misconception in Mathematics Education students and improve their understanding of calculus concepts, especially function limit.       Keywords: limit concept, limits of functions, misconceptions.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is an important effort to improve the health and development of babies, which is encouraged by various health organizations throughout the world. However, the rate of exclusive breastfeeding still varies significantly in different regions, which can be influenced by various factors. The study aim to explore the relationship between mother's work and knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding practices. This research is analytical observational. This research was conducted in May 2024 in the L Sidoharjo Health Center Work Area with a population of 152 mothers with babies 7-12 months and a sample of 35 mothers with babies 7-12 months. Data analysis using Chi-Square. The results showed that working mothers did not provide exclusive breastfeeding (87,5%) and non-working mothers provided exclusive breastfeeding (81,5%) with p=0.000. The research results show that there is an influence of work on exclusive breastfeeding. Good knowledge provides exclusive breastfeeding (77.8%) with p=0.006. The research results show that there is an influence of knowledge on exclusive breastfeeding. It can be concluded that, there is an influence of work and knowledge on exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

A deep understanding of prime numbers remains a significant challenge, particularly for pre-service mathematics teachers responsible for conveying this essential knowledge to their students. Prime numbers have an essential role in mathematics, including in factorization, proof, and cryptography. Therefore, this study aims to describe and analyze the representational abilities of prospective mathematics teacher students at Alkhairaat University, regarding the prime numbers in Number Theory. This study uses a descriptive exploratory method with a mixed-methods approach based on a sequential explanatory design. Data collection was carried out through diagnostic tests, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, which were then analyzed using descriptive statistics for quantitative data and the Miles & Huberman model for qualitative data. Triangulation of methods and time was used to ensure the validity of the data. The findings showed that out of 17 students, only 29.41% were able to provide accurate verbal representations related to the prime and composite numbers, and only 5.88% were able to link the two meaningfully. In addition, while students were able to mention definitions, most of them had difficulties applying the prime numbers in the abstract problem context, including examples in algebraic notation. This study concludes that there is still a significant gap in the representation ability of prime number concepts of pre-service mathematics teachers. The implications emphasize the need for integrating multidimensional representation learning strategies into the mathematics education curriculum so that prospective teachers are better prepared to teach prime numbers in a comprehensive and meaningful way.    Keywords: representation, prime numbers, number theory, pre-service mathematics teachers.

Abstract

Permainan ular tangga merupakan salah satu permainan tradisional yang telah dikenal sejak lama. Permainan ini sangat menyenangkan dan menarik minat peserta didik ketika diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk melakukan kajian literatur tentang penggunaan media permainan “ular tangga” pada pembelajaran matematika. Metode penelitian ini merupakan metode SLR (Systematic Literature Review). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara mendokumentasikan dan mereview semua artikel yang terkait dengan penggunaan media permainan ular tangga pada pembelajaran matematika yang diterbitkan dalam kurun waktu 2013-2020. Artikel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah lima belas (15). Artikel tersebut diterbitkan pada jurnal nasional yang dapat diakses dan diunduh dalam database online Google Scholar yang kemudian dikelompokkan dan dianalisis. Hasil penelitian merupakan pembahasan mengenai temuan yang tersaji di dalam artikel. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, maka hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan beberapa temuan yaitu: (1) penggunaan media permainan ular tangga dalam proses pembelajaran terbukti berpengaruh dan efektif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik, (2) penerapan media permainan ular tangga terbukti efektif dan memiliki dampak positif terhadap keaktifan peserta didik dalam mengikuti pembelajaran matematika, (3) penggunaan media permainan ular tangga terbukti dapat mengembangkan dan meningkatkan kemampuan matematis peserta didik dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran matematika di kelas, dan (4) penerapan media permainan ular tangga terbukti berpengaruh dan dapat meningkatkan motivasi peserta didik dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran matematika di dalam kelas.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze 21st century skills in learning. The research method used is Systematic Literature Review. Data was collected by documenting and reviewing literature in the National Library of Indonesia and Google Scholar databases related to 21st century skills in learning in the 2020-2021 period as many as 520 literatures. A total of 20 literatures were analyzed using the Miles & Huberman interactive model by collecting data, reducing data using thematic analysis techniques, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The findings provide insight into the methodology and results of research on 21st century skills, namely 21st century skills that are positively and significantly correlated with perceptions, technology, learning outcomes, and self-efficacy. The use of inquiry learning models, Blended Learning, PBL, and project-based learning are effective in improving 21st century skills

Abstract

This article contains an exploration of conceptual understanding in geometry lectures in the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Cokroaminoto Palopo University, Odd Semester, Academic Year 2020/2021. This research was conducted through a qualitative approach with the aim of explaining the details of the relationship between concepts in detail and recommending appropriate learning in problem solving. Data were collected using observation, documentation, and written tests. The three techniques are elaborated with the aim of analyzing the concepts and problem-solving patterns of the students' final semester test results. The results of the study explain several findings, namely, Teaching geometry should begin with the process of identifying the important concepts that build up a particular problem. These concepts are then analyzed and linked to one another to form a network. The concept network is then represented in an image/visual display. Through this visual display, lecturers can guide students in compiling procedural steps based on the sequence of concepts that have been compiled. Lecturers need to create meaningful learning for students by connecting previous knowledge with new knowledge through various representations, examples, and manipulations and focus on conceptual understanding rather than procedures or rules.Eksplorasi Pemahaman Konsep Geometri MahasiswaArtikel ini memuat eksplorasi pemahaman konsep dalam perkuliahan geometri pada Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Universitas Cokroaminoto Palopo Semester Ganjil Tahun Akademik 2020/2021. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan tujuan untuk menjelaskan rincian hubungan antar konsep secara detail, dan merekomendasikan pembelajaran yang tepat dalam pemecahan masalah. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes tertulis. Ketiga teknik tersebut dielaborasi dengan tujuan Hasil penelitian menjelaskan beberapa temuan yakni; pengajaran geometri harus diawali dengan proses identifikasi konsep-konsep penting yang membangun masalah tertentu. Konsep-konsep tersebut selanjutnya dianalisis dan dihubungakan satu sama lain sehingga membentuk sebuah jejaring. Jejaring konsep selanjutnya direpresentasikan ke dalam gambar/tampilan visual. Melalui tampilan visual ini, dosen dapat membimbing mahasiswa dalam menyusun langkah-langkah prosedural berdasarkan urutan konsep yang telah disusun. Dosen perlu menciptakan pembelajaran yang bermakna bagi mahasiswa dengan cara menghubungkan pengetahuan sebelumnya dengan pengetahuan yang baru melalui berbagai representasi, contoh, dan manipulasi dan fokus pada pemahaman konseptual dibandingkan prosedur atau aturan.

Abstract

: Bangun datar merupakan geometri dua dimensi. Meski terlihat sederhana dan sering dijumpai, namun konsep bangun datar masih tergolong rumit bagi peserta didik. Untuk mengatasi hal itu, maka diberi solusi berupa metode permainan “Bingo Matematika”. Metode permainan “Bingo Matematika” ialah suatu metode yang dirancang untuk memotivasi dan merupakan media yang efektif untuk mengulas dan meningkatkan istilah yang digunakan pada pembelajaran matematika. Adapun langkah-langkahnya sebagai berikut: (1) Mengidentifikasi konsep atau prinsip matematika yang diinginkan. (2) Memberitahukan tentang Aturan “Bingo Matematika”. (3) Memulai Permainan. (4) Memberi kesempatan untuk mereview apa yang mereka peroleh dari permainan “Bingo Matematika”. Abstract: Two-dimensional figure is a two-dimensional geometry. Even though it looks simple and is often found, the concept of two-dimensional figure is still quite complicated for students. To overcome this, a solution was given in the form of the "Math Bingo" game method. The game method "Bingo Math" is a method designed to motivate and is an effective medium for reviewing and improving terms used in mathematics learning. The steps are: (1) Identifying the desired mathematical concept or principle. (2) Tells about the "Math Bingo" Rules. (3) Starting the Game. (4) Give them the opportunity to review what they got from the game "Math Bingo".
