Abstract

The study about Tutur Candrabherawa is aimed at analyzing the structure and the function. The theory used in this study was structural and function theory by Teew, Damono, and Ratna. The methods used were reading, noting technique with translating technique, qualitative method descriptive analytic technique, and informal method, educative inductive technique. The results of this study showed the structure and function found in the text. Forma structure included figurative language. meanwhile narative structure included incident, plot, characters and characterization, setting, theme, and moral values. the functions contained in the text were tattwa function(philosophy), kewiraan/ksatria function, and kawisean (magic) function from the characters Yudisthira and Candrabherawa.

Abstract

Research into the Pura Goa Gong legend is about the analysis of the structure and function. This analysis has the objective to reveal the structure and disclosure functions ??embodied in the legend of Pura Goa Gong. This study used the theory of structural, and functional theory. The methods and techniques used in this study were divided into three stages, namely: (1) Methods and techniques providing data using the method of observation and interview techniques aided by purposive sampling, recording techniques, recording techniques, and translation techniques. (2) Methods and techniques of data analysis using qualitative and descriptive analytic techniques. (3) Methods and techniques of presentation of the results of data analysis using informal methods supported by deductive and inductive techniques. The results obtained from this study, that forms the structure that includes: a variety of language and style. Narrative structure includes: three incidents using advanced groove and the groove is divided into five stages, namely stage situation, circumstances generating stage, the stage of rising action, climax stage, and the stage denoument. Character and characterization are divided into three, namely the main characters, secondary characters, and complementary figures. Background is divided into three, namely the background of the place, time setting, and background ambience. Mandate comprising: an implicit mandate, namely moral teaching, explicit mandate, namely the advice, warnings and restrictions. In addition this study reveal the functions contained in the legend Pura Goa Gong, include: historical function, function of religion, namely tattwa, decency, ceremonies, magical function and aesthetics fuction.

Abstract

This research is entitled “Geguritan Ni Sumala: Philological Studies”. Assessment of Geguritan Ni Sumala uses philological theory. This study aims to obtain the text of Geguritan Ni Sumala which approaaches the original. The data supply phase uses the observation method and simak method helped by note taking technique. Next, in data analysis phase using comparative descriptive method, transliteration uses standard transliteration method, following by a comparation of three texts through text criticism, text edition using the legger method, the translation uses combination literal translation and idiomatic translation. In the stage of presenting the result of data analysis using formal and informal method by deductive-inductive tecnique also assisted by exposure, tables, and themes. The text edition is complemented by criticism apparatus which is presented separately and translation is also presented separately with the source text. The result of this study are, from the three of GNS manuscripts that have been compared through text criticism there are some copy/write errors from each text such as substitution, adition, omission, lakuna, interpolation, ditography, transposition, and corrupt. By correcting the copy error presented Geguritan Ni Sumala text which assumed to be correct based on the evidence three of contained manuscripts. Geguritan Ni Sumala uses Balinese Kawi language. Next in text edition for literacy guidelines used are Acri and Griffiths opinions (2014: 371-372) and combined with Damais opinions (1995: 125). aside from that, the spelling used in text edition are spelling guidelines for Balinese script pairs with Latin letters and Balinese letters also guidelines Pasang Aksara Bali. Indonesian translations are also included in the Geguritan Ni Sumala text.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Karangasem is one of regency in Bali have much of tourism potential and tourism resources, so Karangasem developed Tanah Ampo Cruise Port  to optimalize the tourists visiting, because cruise tourism is one of type of tourism trend in the word.  Every tourism port in every country have quality facilities and and very support by tourism potential. Thus, in this study aims to determine the potential of the area as the location of Tanah Ampo cruise port development and to discusses  Tanah Ampo Cruise Port development as a tourism entrance in Karangasem. This study discusses the development of Tanah Ampo Cruise Port as the gateway of tourism at  Karangasem Regency. To discuss this study used a descriptive qualitative  method. The   types of data consist of qualitative and quantitative data  as well as primary and secondary data  sources. Data collected by  in-depth interviews, observation , documentation studies and literature studies. Tanah Ampo cruise port located in Banjar Dinas Tanah Ampo, Ulakan Village, Manggis District, Karangasem Regency, Bali Province. This location is very strategic and has tourism potential wich consists of the physical and  nonphisical potential. Tanah Ampo Cruise Port development project is implemented in accordance with the applicable regulations of port development in Indonesia and in accordance with the regulations of Bali Provincial and Karangasem Regency. Tanah Ampo Cruise Port development became a transit point as well as a destination for tourists who travel by  cruise ship. The development also aims to increase the tourist visits to Karangasem and the all of tousrist attraction in Bali. But in the operational phase of the  Tanah Ampo Port has not reached target operated due to several constraints related to port facilities,  thus requiring evaluation  and repairing the fasilities to able to meet market demands.

Abstract

As tourism industry is always increasing, nowadays, it does not only touch the leisure sector, it expands into health industry. Medical tourism is a combination of both health care and leisure activity. It is projected to grow US$38 until US$55 billion per year. In Asia, it successfully attracts visitors which increase by 20% every year because affordable price, yet high quality. Malaysia, Thailand, India and Singapore take this opportunity. These countries take control at least 80% of Asia market share. Unfortunately, Indonesia plays only a small part. Moreover, the data reveals a surprising truth that 57% of Malaysian patients are Indonesian. This raises a paradox, whether it is an irony or opportunity. Thus, this comparative study is conducted based on literature review in qualitative and analyzed through SWOT.Bali is very potential. It already has three international hospitals, popular for its wellness tourism, rich for its unique culture, sophisticated medical equipments, professional medics and paramedics, and good image for the hospitality.The next important step is the synergy of every stakeholders which consists of government, academic, media, private sector and community. Those stakeholders have to be eager in seriously creating better regulation, offering an interesting medical tour package, and participating actively.

Abstract

This study discusses the commodification of local wisdom in health sector as the attraction of wellness tourism in Ubud Tourism Area. This research addresses the problem about the forms of commodification of local wisdom in health sector as an attraction of wellness tourism in Ubud Tourism Area. The method used to analyse the data is descriptive qualitative method with qualitative data. Types of data used are primary and secondary data with data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, observations, documentations and literature studies. Based on the results of this study it can be explained that the development of commodification of local wisdom in health sector as a health tourism attraction in the Ubud Tourism Area occurs in the form of commercialisation, profanisasi and modernisation. Commercialisation is identified in the form of place arrangement, product packaging and marketing. Then the profanisation occurs causes the decline in the sacred value of local wisdom into economic-oriented activities. Modernisation also has changed the local wisdom into modernised products.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the importance of revitalizing the local wisdom of Bali for the strengthening the Bali cultural identity in order to sustain Balinese culture and national values that characterize the culture of Bali. Bali as a major tourist destination has experienced a variety of physical and non-physical problems. Therefore, the revitalization of the values of local wisdom especially in short stories that use Balinese language becomes important to be redeveloped in order to strengthen the personal and culture of Bali. The literary work is an impersonation (utnaturapoeisis), imitation or imitationaturae. In relation to the cultural values, local wisdom is a fastener segment of the various forms of culture that already existed since a long time ago, the functions as a filter, anticipatory, transformative against elements of foreign cultures. Methodologically, the data was collected by direct observation, classification, and translation that assisted with note taking and reading techniques. The collected data was analytically interpretive and descriptive analyzed. The results were presented by an informal method with deductive-inductive techniques. Based on the classification, there were four short stories analyzed. The results showed that the Balinese stories were dominated by the topic of education, the importance of self-control on drugs; hedonic behavior is a bad portrait for teenagers.

Abstract

Food is the most important basic need to sustain the life of all creatures, including humans. So it is necessary to strive for adequate and equitable fulfillment of needs. In addition to survival, food is very influential in improving the quality of life of the nation. Planting various vegetables for food availability in the household does not have to be supported by a large yard. The yard with a limited area can also be used as land for growing vegetables and fruits. The implementation of these activities sequentially consists of socialization, discussion, direct practice and mentoring. The results achieved from this program are increasing community awareness and skills through activities carried out with the community around Barejulat Village so as to encourage the community to be motivated to optimize the potential of resources in the form of yards owned by the community to increase. Welfare based on technology and local wisdom. At the same time, it teaches the community to understand how important it is to cultivate a passion for farming from an early age so that in the future the sustainable food house program can be continued by future generations.

Abstract

The results of this study are to describe the toponyms found in the origins of place names in Kuta and South Kuta Districts. The use of toponymy theory in this analysis is able to reveal toponymy aspects of place names in Kuta and South Kuta Districts. Based on the toponymy theory according to Robiansyah (2017: 13), it is grouped into four, namely (1) vegetation toponymy; (2) historical toponymy; (3) toponymy of gifts; (4) regional toponymy in place names in Kuta and South Kuta Districts. The methods and techniques used consist of three stages, namely: (1) The stage of providing data using the listening method, followed by the technique of observing the skilled engagement (SLC) technique, and the recording technique, as well as the proficient method, followed by the fishing technique and the proficient technique, ( 2) The data analysis phase uses the matching method with the advanced technique of selecting determinant elements (PUP) and the comparative comparison technique (HBB), as well as the distribution method with the advanced technique of dividing the direct elements (BUL), (3) The data analysis results stage uses the method formal and informal methods supported by deductive and inductive techniques. The toponymic aspects of place names in Kuta and South Kuta sub-districts include four types of toponymy, namely vegetation toponymy, historical toponymy, gift toponymy, and area toponymy which is the origin of the place names.

Abstract

This study examines Geguritan Nala Damayanti. The purpose of this study is to describe feminism and the values contained in the Geguritan Nala Damayanti text. This study uses the theory of feminism according to Sugihastuti and Suharto. The stage of providing data using the listening method is assisted by translation techniques and recording techniques. The data analysis phase used qualitative methods assisted by analytical descriptive techniques. The stage of providing the results of data analysis using informal methods supported by inductive and deductive techniques. Feminism obtained from the research is how a woman experiences gender oppression and injustice in the form of marginalization, subordination, stereotypes, and violence that she experiences. As well as female figures who are used as role models and the values contained in them can be taken.
