Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat berjudul: "Pembinaan Kelompok Tani Niti Sari Desa Baturiti, Kecamatan Baturiti” merupakan salah satu Hibah Program Udayana Untuk Masyarakat (PUMA). Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk memberikan pembinaan kepada Kelompok Tani Niti Sari tentang cara meningkatkan kesehatan sapi dan memanfaatkan limbah pertanian menjadi kompos organik plus. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut diawali dengan memberikan penyuluhan kepada anggota Kelompok Tani Niti sari, selanjutnya didukung dengan praktek langsung di lapangan. Penyuluhan yang diberikan meliputi: Penyuluhan kesehatan sapi, penyuluhan kesehatan reproduksi sapi, penyuluhan teknologi tepat guna pertanian dengan memanfaatkan limbah pertanian menggunakan jamur Trichoderma untuk dibuat kompos plus. Kompos plus Trichoderma yang dihasilkan dalam pembinaan ini diharapkan dapat mengatasi permasalahan penyakit tanaman kubis milik petani Niti Sari. Penyuluhan sudah dilaksanakan tanggal 05 Juli 2019 diawali pertemuan dengan Kepala Desa Baturiti, dengan Kelompok Tani Niti Sari dan dilanjutkan dengan pembinaan Kelompok Tani. Kegiatan penyuluhan dibuka oleh Camat Baturiti, Ketua LPPM Unud, Tripika Kecamatan Baturiti, Kepala Desa beserta aparat Desa, Kelompok Tani Niti Sari dan Kelompok Tani se Desa Baturiti dan Banjar Tamantanda. Dengan demikian diharapkan Kelompok Tani Niti Sari dan Kelompok Tani disekitarnya mampu menyerap alih teknologi yang diajarkan oleh Tim Pengabdi dari Universitas Udayana.

Abstract

Training on tungro and blast diseases was held at Subak Basangkasa, Kerobokan village, Badung regency onApril 27, 2014. The activities was conducted to educate farmers how to control tungro and blast diseases. Themethods used in this activity were lectures, demonstration and practice in the paddy field. The training wasattended by 30 participants from local farmer groups of Subak Basangkasa. Based on post test, more than 90% ofthe farmers managed to answer the questions about tungro and blast diseases, including pathogens, symptoms ofdiseases, factors affecting the growing of diseases as well as the control of diseases. The data indicated on the finalof training all participants completely understand about the topics. Abstract

Motor induksi tiga fasa merupakan salah satu mesin listrik yang banyak digunakan di dunia industri. Sesuai dengan peran dan fungsinya, maka motor induksi tiga fasa dinilai sangat penting dalam dunia industri, sehingga motor induksi diharuskan bekerja dengan baik dan aman. Banyak sekali jenis-jenis gangguan yang berpotensi untuk mengganggu fungsi dan kerja motor atau bahkan merusak motor itu sendiri di antaranya yaitu unbalance voltage dan overload. Penelitian ini bertujuan membuat suatu alat yang bertugas untuk mengamankan motor induksi tiga fasa terhadap gangguan unbalance voltage dan overload berbasis mikrokontroller ATMega 328. Alat ini juga memiliki fitur monitoring yang dilakukan pada komputer.

Abstract

Soybean is one of the agricultural commodities that are needed to fulfil food nutrients of Indonesian people. The low production of this commodity in Indonesia has not yet been able to meet the high demand for soybean that reaches 2.8 million tons per year, so that the Indonesian government still import soybeans at the amount of 2.26 million tons annually. The low production of soybeans in Indonesia is due to several factors, one of which is the expensive price of chemical fertilizers The use of rhizobacteria as bio-controlling agents can increase the availability of nutrients as well as crop production. Phosphate solubilizing bacteria are rhizobacteria that have the capacity to solubilize bound phosphate as well as trigger the growth hormone IAA that is the main hormone that controls various physiological processes in plants. The current study aimed to investigate whether isolates derived from rhizospheres of Leguminosae plants can induce IAA hormone and foster the vegetative growth of soybeans.The research results showed that five out of nine isolates of the phosphate solubilizing bacteria are able to induce IAA hormone and foster the vegetative growth of soybeans. Isolate treatment that showed the best impact toward soybean growth was identified molecularly through PCR. The result of RHC6 isolate identification shows a DNA ladder size of 1300bp which is suitable with the primer used. Based on the phylogenetic analysis conducted, nucleotide sequence of RHC6 isolate from Bali has a high similarity (97%) to and a low genetic distance (0.018) from Brevundimonas diminuta isolate from the US.

Abstract

Field research was conducted in Distrit Ainaro, Aileu, Bobonaro, Dili and Ermera. Maintenance and identification of Liriomyza and parasitoids was conducted in laboratory of Plant Protection, Department of Plant Protection of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and fisheries Timor Leste. The purpose of the study to determine the diversity and abundance of leaf miner populations of Liriomyza spp. and parasitoids on vegetable crops in Timor Leste. The results showed there were two Liriomyza species, associated with host plants in the lowlands to the highlands of Timor Leste. The Both species are Liriomyza sativae (Blanchard) and Liriomyza sp. (Blanchard) The highest population abundance of Liriomyza sativa on tomatoes, red beans, Cucurbita maxima dan Cucumis sativus. while the highest populations of Liriomyza sp. on petsay crop.

Abstract

The analysis of efficacy of clove oil (Syzigium aromaticum), ginger oil (Zingiber officinale), and nutmeg oil (Myristica fragrans) to hairy caterpillar was conducted. The hairy caterpillar were reported to attack some plants in 2010 to 2011 in Indonesia .To control the caterpillar, recently, peoples used chemical insecticide, however the impact of chemicals insecticide is dangerous to human being, livestock, and environmental. Therefore to minimizing those problems, the control methods should be environmental-friendly and safe against human being. One of those methods is utilizing the botanical pesticide which is extracted from tropical plants. Therefore efficacy of essential oils was done in order to find out the method to control population of it with environmental friendly approach. The experiment result shown at the concentration 10%, all of the essential oils are effective to kill the caterpillar (90-100%). Therefore the examinations of low concentrations of essential oils were conducted (5, 2, and 1%). The result of 1% concentration of ginger oil, nutmeg oil and clove oil are 80 %, 76 % and 68 % respectively.

Abstract

ELISA test results of symptomatic leaves from Tabanan, Bali showed that papaya ringspot virus (PRSV) as causing agents of ring spot disease on papaya in Bali. The objective of the study were to determine the control strategies of ringspot disease on papaya in the field. Control strategies of ringspot disease tested in this study were the use of metallic gray plastic mulch and plant barrier. Research result showed that plant barrier can provide a buffer zone to protect papaya that are planted within the confines of the buffer.

Abstract

The study was conducted at the Field and in the Laboratory . Laboratory research was conducted at the Laboratory Integrated Pest and Disease Control Management, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University, Bali with altivial 30 meters above sea level from January to March 2014. In field, study was conducted by sampling the fruit flies attacking fruit with Purposive random sampling.The results showed that there were 6 species found in the market and fruits’ center in Bali, namely Bactrocera papayae Drew & Hancock, Bactrocera carambolae Drew & Hancock,Bactrocera umbrosa Fabricius, Bactrocera cucurbitae Coquillete, and Bactrocera albistrigatade Maijere (Diptera: Tephritidae). The spesies fruit flies attack in mango, orange, long chili, rawit chili, watermelon, cucumber, star fruit, sapodilla, nephelium, jackfruit, rose-apple and guava. The abundance of fruit flies population had a positive relationship with the persentage of fruit flies’ attack.

Abstract

Penggunaan pestisida kimia sintetis untuk mengendalikan hama dan penyakit tumbuhan memiliki banyak pengaruh negatif, seperti ketahanan serangga hama dan penyakit terhadap pestisida, resurgensi, ledakan hama sekunder, punahnyah musuh alami dan residu pada bahan makanan dan lingkungan. Selama 60 tahun-an terakhir tingkat keracunan dibidang pertanian dan lingkungan semakin meningkat secara dramatis. Oleh karena itu salah satu pendekatan untuk mengurangi penggunaan pestisida kimia adalah menggunakan musuh alami. Untuk mengendalikan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh bakteri salah satu pendekatan mutahir menggunakan musuh alami berupa bakteriopag. Bakteriopag menyerang bakteri dengan kisaran inang yang spesifik. Salah satu penelitian yang menarik adalah tentang mekanisme bakteriopag menyerang inangnya. Untuk menghancurkan dinding sel bakteri, bakteriopag menghasilkan banyak ensim pendegradasi dinding sel. Pada kajian ini didiskusikan beberapa ensim pendegradasi dinding sel dan kemungkinan perannannya dalam mekanisme infeksi bakteriopag.

Abstract

Bactrocera occipitalis is one species of group B. dorsalis complex. The main host of B. occipitalis is mango (Mangifera indica), guava (Psidium guajava), orange (Citrus sp), sapodilla (Achras zapota) and star fruit (carambola Averrhoa). Region of distribution B. occipitalis are Philippines, East Malaysia (Sabah), Brunei, Indonesia (Kalimantan). B. dorsalis complex has similar morphological and have a less distinctive character for taxonomic identification at immature life stages, it will be an obstacle for the export of fruit and vegetables from Indonesia related to quarantine the country of destination, and DNA-based barcode can solve this problem. Molecular Identification B. occipitalis Tarakan successfully amplified at 642 bp with COI gene. Based on sequence homology COI B. occipitalis Tarakan has a high of similarity with B. occipitalis Philippines is 99.4% -100%. The phylogenetic analysis of DNA sequences and genetic distance based on COI gene sequences showing too genetic closeness with B. occipitalis Philippines.
