Abstract

The Community Service (PKM) activity with the theme "Improving Self-Potential to Become an Inspiring Young Leader" is one of the implementations of the Tridharma of Higher Education program implemented by STIE Ekadharma Indonesia. The main objective of this activity is to provide a real contribution to the community, especially students, in efforts to develop self-potential and leadership from an early age. This activity targets grade XII IPS 4 students at SMA Negeri 1 Cabangbungin with a total of 33 participants. In this activity, participants are given a deep understanding of the importance of recognizing and developing their potential, including abilities, talents, interests, creativity, and superior character that can be the foundation for becoming an inspiring and competitive young leader. The material presented in the seminar is designed to equip participants with applicable strategies and insights, such as how to recognize their strengths, build self-confidence, and improve communication and leadership skills. The material delivery process is carried out interactively to encourage active student participation and create a fun and meaningful learning atmosphere. This activity also reflects the spirit of collaboration between higher education institutions and schools in preparing young people who are ready to face future challenges. Evaluation results indicate that this activity was highly effective, demonstrated by the high level of participant enthusiasm, a strong understanding of the material presented, and a positive response to the speakers. This activity is expected to inspire and motivate young people to continue developing themselves and making positive contributions, both within the school environment, on campus, and in the wider community.

Abstract

Penguasaan keterampilan berpikir kritis (critical thinking) merupakan salah satu soft skill yang sangat penting bagi generasi muda dalam mempersiapkan diri menghadapi dunia kerja dan dunia usaha. Keterampilan ini memungkinkan individu untuk menganalisis informasi secara objektif, menyelesaikan masalah dengan cara yang rasional, serta membuat keputusan yang tepat dan efektif. Di era globalisasi yang serba cepat dan kompetitif ini, kemampuan berpikir kritis menjadi kunci untuk beradaptasi dan berhasil dalam berbagai sektor industri. Artikel ini membahas peran penting keterampilan berpikir kritis dalam membentuk pola pikir inovatif dan solutif bagi generasi muda, serta bagaimana pendidikan dan pelatihan dapat mendukung pengembangannya. Diharapkan dengan penguasaan keterampilan ini, generasi muda dapat lebih siap dan percaya diri dalam menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja dan dunia usaha yang terus berkembang.

Abstract

Beji Village, Kedungbanteng District, is a center for gourami cultivation in Banyumas Regency. During the cultivation process, fish farmers encounter problems regarding proper gourami cultivation practices, resulting in the death of broodstock. Farmers rely solely on traditional knowledge based on field experience, lacking expert guidance. Every year, gourami experience mass mortality, the most severe of which occurred in 2018, with a mortality rate of 90%. Most broodstock deaths are caused by viruses, water quality, weather, and other factors. This has resulted in economic losses for farmers in the Enggal Jaya group, with annual decreases in gourami egg production. Gourami broodstock mortality can be prevented with proper cultivation management. The training aimed to improve farmers' skills in gourami cultivation. The training methods used were lectures and discussions. Based on the participants' evaluation forms, it can be concluded that 72% of the training participants experienced increased knowledge about gourami cultivation.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  The poverty rate in Sumberwungu District is still high, namely 1,119 households or 17.59%. This is because the majority of people do not go to school/did not finish elementary school as many as 1,872 people, so they work as farmers, livestock breeders, artisans and agricultural laborers. This Community Service is a very strategic program to support the Sumberwungu District program. The target partner for this community service activity is the Griya Livestock Group, which is a group of breeders in the Sumberwungu District chaired by Tukino with 22 members. This activity was carried out in Sumberwungu District in the Livestock Farming Group which was carried out for 4 months. The method for implementing this service activity begins with socialization, training on livestock management and making animal feed according to Gamallusforte, implementation of Gamallusforte, operational assistance and marketing of chicken livestock products. The activity implementation phase began with program socialization which was carried out on September 20 2021 at the Sumberwungu Village Hall. After socializing the activities, the next activity was implementation of livestock management training with the result that 90% of participants' skills increased regarding how to raise livestock. Egg production continues to increase day by day. Supporting factors that can strengthen the success of community empowerment in the Griya Animal Husbandry Group: training, access to resources, capital and funding, technology and innovation, partnerships, support from related stakeholders, land area, as santri therapy: and providing PMT to wasting and under-five children stunting.  Keywords: Farm mentoring; Gamilusforte feed; Laying hen; Stunting   ABSTRAK Angka kemiskinan Kalurahan Sumberwungu masih tinggi yaitu sebanyak 1.119 Rumah Tangga atau sebesar 17,59 %. Hal ini disebabkan oleh sebagian besar masyarakat tidak sekolah/ tidak tamat SD sebanyak 1.872 jiwa, sehingga berprofesi sebagai petani, peternak, tukang dan buruh tani. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini merupakan program yang sangat strategis untuk mendukung program RPJMD/RPJM Kalurahan Sumberwungu. Mitra sasaran kegiatan pada pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu Kelompok Griya Peternakan, merupakan kelompok peternak yang berada di Kalurahan Sumberwungu diketuai oleh Tukino dengan jumlah anggota 22 orang. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Kalurahan Sumberwungu pada kelompok Griya Peternakan yang dilaksanakan selama 4 bulan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini diawali dengan melaksanakan sosialisasi, pelatihan manajemen peternakan dan pembuatan pakan ternak sesuai TTG Gamallusforte, penerapan TTG Gamallusforte, pendampingan operasional dan pemasaran hasil ternak ayam. Tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan diawali dengan sosialisasi program yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 20 September 2021 bertempat di Balai Kalurahan Sumberwungu. Setelah sosialisasi kegiatan pelaksanaan kegiatan selanjutnya yaitu pelatihan manajemen peternakan dengan hasil 90% keterampilan peserta meningkat terkait cara berternak. Produksi telur terus meningkat dari hari ke hari. Faktor pendukung yang dapat memperkuat keberhasilan pemberdayaan masyarakat pada Kelompok Griya Peternakan: adanya pelatihan, akses terhadap sumber daya, modal dan pendanaan, teknologi dan inovasi, kemitraan, dukungan stakeholder terkait, luas lahan, sebagai terapi santri: dan memberikan PMT pada balita wasting dan stunting. Abstract

Memahami perilaku konsumen dalam memutuskan membeli suatu produk merupakan hal yang penting dalam pemasaran. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi konsumen dalam membuat keputusan pembelian, seperti motivasi, persepsi dan sikap konsumen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi, persepsi dan sikap konsumen terhadap keputusan pembelian Dodol Betawi Ceger Sukajaya ,baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Untuk menguji hubungan antar variable, peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian asosiatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode penentuan sampel pada menggunakan rumus Purba, sehingga diperoleh sampel sebesar 100 orang, dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer berupa kuisioner. Metode analisis yang digunakan meliputi uji instrument, uji asumsi klasi dan uji regresi linier berganda dengan menggunakan alat bantu SPSS Versi 23.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial motivasi berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian. Persepsi berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap keputusan pembelian. Sikap konsumen berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap keputusan pembelian. Secara simultan motivasi, persepsi, dan sikap konsumen berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian Dodol Betawi Ceger Sukajaya. Besar pengaruh motivasi, persepsi, dan sikap konsumen berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian Dodol Betawi Ceger Sukajaya ditunjukkan dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,680. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa 68% keputusan pembelian dipengaruhi oleh motivasi, persepsi, dan sikap konsumen dan sisanya sebesar 0,320 atau 32,0% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the apolipoprotein-B (apo-B) gene in atherosclerosis mice which were orally given curcuminoid extract of Curcuma xanthorriza. A total number of 30 white mice were split into 6 groups, the first group considered as control (without any treatment), second group as atherogenic feed control, the third group as extract control, while the fourth, fifth and sixth groups as atherogenic feed and curcuminoid Curcuma xanthorriza extract group treated with 5 mg/mouse, 10 mg/mouse and 15 mg/ mouse, respectively for three months. The blood samples were taken from all six groups for the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) analysis using total DNA isolation, DNA amplification with polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and DNA sequencing. The data analysis showed that 374 bp nucleotide sequence gen of apo-B from Rattus norvegicus in groups B, C, D, E, and F did not cause any changes in genes. The analysis showed the sequence of apo-B Rattus norvegicus gene in the treatment group was apparently identical with that of Rattus norvegicus group A as the control group without treatment. As conclusion, the administration of curcuminoid zanthorrizza to atherosclerosis mice did not change the gene structure of apo-B 100.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji tingkat stres sapi yang dipotong di Rumah Potong Hewan (RPH) Yogyakarta. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan 20 ekor sapi yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yakni kelompok sapi yang dilakukan restraint dengan restraining box tipe Mark 1 (K1, n=13) dan kelompok sapi yang dilakukan restraint dengan metode konvensional (K2, n= 7). Masing-masing kelompok diambil darahnya sebelum dan saat dipotong untuk diperiksa kadar kortisol dengan enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Rata-rata kortisol sapi betina sebelum vs setelah restraint pada K1 dan K2 masing-masing adalah 55,6452,13 vs 21,2320,63 ng/ml dan 127,48150,19 vs 106,28+75,39 ng/ml. Rata-rata kortisol sapi jantan sebelum vs setelah restraint pada K1 dan K2 masing-masing adalah 40,2838,12 vs 24,2117,21 ng/ml dan 49,5138,67 vs 69,6263,98 ng/ml. Rata-rata kadar kortisol tanpa memperhatikan jenis kelamin pada K1 dan K2 masing-masing adalah 79,5088,50 vs 95,8069,69 ng/ml (P>0,05). Disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan kadar kortisol sebagai indikator stres pada sapi-sapi yang dipotong di RPH Yogyakarta yang mengalami restraint dengan restraining box tipe Mark 1 dan restraint metode konvensional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji aktivitas enzim alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), dan creatinine kinase (CK) pada kambing peranakan Ettawa. Sebanyak 43 ekor kambing peranakan Ettawa dari berbagai kelompok status fisiologis (jantan muda, betina muda, jantan dewasa, betina dewasa, betina bunting, dan betina laktasi) yang secara klinis sehat dan tidak cacat digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Pemeriksaan klinis dan pengambilan sampel darah dilakukan sesuai dengan skedul pemeriksaan dan pengambilan sampel sesuai dengan standard klinik yang diuraikan Baumgartner (1999). Pengambilan sampel darah dilakukan pada jam 7.00-8.00 wib. Pemeriksaan enzim di dalam serum diperiksa dengan menggunakan metode standar sebagaimana diuraikan oleh Kraft dan Duer (1999). Aktivitas AST, ALT, ALP di dalam serum memiliki level yang sebanding dengan level pada ruminansia lain. Sementara itu, aktivitas CK lebih tinggi dibanding nilai yang dinyatakan di dalam literatur untuk ruminansia kecil lainnya.

Abstract

This research was aims to determine the effect of coconut shell liquid smoke application on the smoking process on the physicochemical quality of smoked catfish stored at freezing temperature for 14 days. The test parameters used were proximate analysis (protein, fat, and water content), salt-soluble protein, pH, texture (adhesion, springness, cohesiveness, hardness). Analysis of the data in this experiment using a completely randomized design with different storage time treatments (0 days; 7 days; and 14 days) at freezing temperatures. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the application of coconut shell liquid smoke to smoked catfish gave a significant difference (P <0.05) to the physicochemical quality including proximate, salt-soluble protein, pH, and texture. During storage, there was a decrease in the proximate value and salt soluble protein of smoked catfish, while the pH value increased. Meanwhile, texture, adhesion, springiness, and cohesiveness values decreased along with the decreasing proximate value of smoked catfish, and the hardness value showed an increase during storage resulting in a harder texture of fish meat due to protein denaturation.Keywords: Coconut shell liquid smoke; Frozen storage; Physicochemical quality; Smoked catfish nutritional

Abstract

Smoking is the one of the efforts to maintain the quality of smoked fish. Phenol compounds in smoke can act as natural antioxidants to inhibit the lipid oxidation. Milkfish has a high lipid content after protein, that can undergo lipid oxidation during processing and storage. The aim of this study was to observe the effect of antioxidant activity on different smoking methods and storage time for 28 days at freezing temperature on the quality of smoked milkfish. Corn cob liquid smoke was used due to phenol content as an antioxidant. The design used in this study was a factorial completely randomized design which consisted of two factors. The first factor is the difference in smoking methods, corncob liquid smoke (Ac) and Traditional (Tr). While the second factor is the length of storage on day 0 (T0); day 14 (T14) and day 28 (T28). The test parameters observed were analysis of phenol content; PV; TBA; lipid content; and pH. The results of this study showed that different smoking methods and storage time at freezing temperature showed significant differences (P<0.05) on the phenol value; PV; TBA; lipid value; and pH of smoked milkfish. During storage, phenol value; lipid; and pH of smoked milkfish decreased. Meanwhile, the value of PV and TBA increased as a result of the lipid oxidation process so as to produce peroxide from detheorized fat.
