Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the trainee recruitment model used by HRD of the company. This research was analyzed using descriptive analysis technique with a qualitative approach. The data collected in this study was conducted through direct observation and in-depth interviews with informants. This study determines the informants intentionally based on the data collection needs of this study. Informants in this study were Senior Admin HRD and Supervisor. The results of the research show that the hotel does not yet have a recruitment model that becomes a standard procedure and assessment. The recruitment model as a result of this research comes in the form of a rubric that can be applied by HRD in the next trainee recruitment during the new normal period.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how far green practice behavior has been implemented in the food and beverage department at the M Hotel, Bali. Green practices are important to practice because this is one way to support efforts to reduce global warming. Green practice includes green action, green food, and green donation. Green action is demonstrated by activities that protect and preserve nature, such as reducing the use of plastic and recycling waste, and using environmentally friendly equipment. Green food consists of using local and organic food ingredients that support the environment for the long term. Meanwhile, green donations take the form of donating funds, participating in community projects, and educating the public about the impacts of environmental damage and how to overcome them. This research data collection method was carried out using interviews, observation, documentation, and literature study. Interviews were conducted with 4 people as informants. They are a manager of food and beverage, supervisor of food and beverage service, bar supervisor, and chef de partie. This research uses qualitative analysis techniques. The data is then reduced by summarizing and grouping the data and then displaying it in a table for further conclusions. In this research, it is known that the food and beverage department has implemented green practices but still need to be improved.

Abstract

This study examines the culinary and dining experience at D’Warung, a popular restaurant known for its diverse menu and cozy atmosphere. The primary objective is to analyze the restaurant's appeal, focusing on its food offerings, ambiance, and customer service. Data collection was conducted through observation and interviews with staff and customers, assessing factors such as the quality of the food, the level of crowd, and the friendliness of the service. The results reveal that D’Warung stands out for its comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, and a varied menu that includes both local and western dishes. The analysis highlights these factors as key contributors to the restaurant’s success. In conclusion, the study emphasizes the importance of creating a welcoming environment and providing excellent service in shaping a memorable dining experience.

Abstract

The development of Tanah Lot Temple as a prominent tourist destination in Bali has significantly influenced the region’s economic, social, and environmental dynamics. This study aims to examine these impacts by analyzing the economic contributions of tourism, the social transformations experienced by local communities, and the environmental challenges arising from increased visitation. Additionally, the study seeks to propose sustainable tourism strategies that balance economic growth with cultural and environmental preservation. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing interviews and observations to gather data from visitors, local businesses, and community members. Interviews focus on perceptions regarding tourism’s economic benefits, cultural shifts, and environmental concerns. Observations are conducted at the site to assess visitor behavior, infrastructure conditions, and environmental changes. The collected data are analyzed thematically to identify key trends and perspectives. The findings reveal that tourism at Tanah Lot Temple significantly contributes to the local economy, particularly in trade, hospitality, and services. However, the rapid growth of tourism has also introduced several challenges. Socially, the local community faces a dilemma between preserving cultural heritage and adapting to commercial tourism demands. While many residents take pride in the temple’s global recognition, concerns about cultural erosion and over-commercialization persist. Environmentally, issues such as waste management, congestion, and land degradation emphasize the need for sustainable management. In conclusion, while Tanah Lot Temple’s tourism industry generates substantial economic benefits, addressing the associated social and environmental challenges is crucial for long-term sustainability. Effective infrastructure management, active community involvement in decision-making, and the adoption of eco-friendly tourism practices are essential strategies. By integrating these approaches, Tanah Lot Temple can continue to thrive as a responsible and sustainable tourist destination that preserves its cultural and environmental integrity.
