Abstract

Concept maps are a technique that can represent the knowledge possessed by students. Depiction through concept maps can form a structured and systematic understanding of concepts based on the relationships between the written concepts. In a period of online learning like this, an exciting learning strategy is needed. Therefore, using concept maps can be an alternative learning strategy that lecturers can apply in online learning. This study aims to identify various concept map patterns that students often use to improve conceptual understanding of the topic of global warming as well as increase students' conceptual understanding of the draft concept map patterns. This research is a mixed-method type with concurrent embedded with 83 students of Primary Teacher Education semester 2 of the 2019/2020 academic year. The instrument used was the measurement instrument for the concept map pattern and the measurement of the conceptual understanding test based on scientific literacy for students. The results were then analyzed by normalized N-Gain test and qualitative data analysis. The results showed that students' concept map patterns to improve conceptual understanding using the hub/spokes concept map pattern were 87.9%. Meanwhile, the results of the N-Gain analysis showed several 0.53 (in the medium category), which means that understanding of the concept increases with the application of concept map learning. The concept map pattern that appears depicts the results of the visualization of students' conceptual understanding

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain media pembelajaran mini zoo pada materi perkembangbiakan hewan, mengetahui hasil belajar sisw terhadap media pembelajaran mini zoo yang telah dikembangkan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model pengembangan R&D oleh Borg and Gall, dimana tahapan yang ada pada model pengembangan R&D adalah potensi masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisian desain, ujicoba produk, revisi produk dan produk akhir. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu berupa soal pretest dan soal posttest yang diberikan pada siswa kelas V SD & Kandangmas. Hasil validasi ahli media masuk dalam kategori baik dan dapat digunakan dengan sedikit revisi. Hasil validasi ahli materi masuk dalam kategori baik dan dapat digunakan tanpa revisi. Rata-rata hasil uji coba dengan instrumen soal pretest dan posttest masing-masing sebesar 5,7 dan 9,2. Berdasarkan hasil rata-rata soal pretest dan posttest yang diperoleh dalam penelotian ini dapaat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan media mini zoo dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk emningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Reading difficulties are obstacles in reading experienced by students. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of student's difficulties in reading. This research uses a qualitative approach. This research will be carried out at SD 2 Kaliwungu with the subject of research, namely five grade 1 students. This study used data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis used is qualitative data analysis with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results showed that five grade 1 students had difficulty reading, including difficulty recognizing and identifying letters of the alphabet, unable to distinguish letters that are almost similar when reading, difficulty in spelling letters and syllables, difficulty in pronouncing consonant combinations, difficulty in pronouncing diphthong combinations, and difficulty in pronouncing the letter "r". Based on the results of data analysis from several previous studies and various references or sources that there are still low-grade students who have difficulty reading with some characteristics of reading difficulties they experience.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran pop-up book untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi siswa di SD Negeri 7 Bulungkulon. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development (R&D), dimulai dari mencari potensi dan masalah, mengumpulkan informasi, merancang produk, memvalidasi desain, menyempurnakan desain, dan menguji produk. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar angket respon guru, lembar angket respon siswa, dan lembar angket validasi kelayakan media. Rata-rata hasil angket validasi kelayakan media yang diperoleh dari 2 orang validator adalah 93% (sangat layak) oleh ahli literasi dan 89,3% (sangat layak) oleh ahli numerasi. Dari hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran pop up book untuk meningkatkan literasi dan numerasi yang telah dikembangkan layak untuk diuji lebih lanjut untuk melihat keefektifannya dalam pembelajaran di kelas II.

Abstract

Students’ creative mathematical thinking abilities are low due to students’ lack of creativity and accuracy in developing ideas to solve problems. Apart from that, the use of learning models and media does not attract students’ interest. This research aims to analyze the increase in students’ creative thinking abilities in class IV SD 2 Gemiringlor before and after using the learning model Think Pair Share assisted by Tangram media. This research design uses a quantitative approach with methods Pre-Experimental by design One Group Pretest-Posttest. The data obtained through the written test method is a description test. The location of this research will be carried out in class IV of SD 2 Gemiringlor. The sample in this study was 20 class IV students using saturated sampling techniques. The results of this research show the percentage value N-Gain amounting to 56% which shows quite effective improvement. So, there is an increase in value pretest and posttest students before and after learning using the model Think pair Shrae with the help of Tangram media on the creative thinking abilities of fourth grade students at SD 2 Gemiringlor.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the types of science learning difficulties, describe the factprs that cause science learning difficulties, describe alternative solutions to science learning difficulties using alternative energy sources in class IV students at SDN 2 Gemiringlor for the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 21 students. This research is a qualitative research. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research show that (1) the types of difficulties experienced by students are difficulties interpreting, exemplifying, classifying, inferring, and explaining, (2) the casual factors are internal factors and external factors, and (3) alternative solutions for students, specifically practicing learning and explaining the material in their own language, getting used to studying regularl, getting used to summarizing the material, and for teachers, giving advice to students who encounter difficulties, using a variety of learning methods and using maps concept of learning means of learning.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the quality of cooking oil based on the viscosity coefficient using an Arduino UNO-based viscosity coefficient determining tool. By integrating the Arduino UNO into the viscosity measurement process, this research shows innovation in adapting widely available technology for scientific purposes. The series of tools for determining the value of the viscosity coefficient work if an iron ball enters the fluid and will be detected by magnetic sensors 1 and 2 if it passes through the sensor, which is placed at a predetermined distance. Research was conducted to test the quality of cooking oil by determining the viscosity coefficient. The method research is analyzing recorded videos of the motion of objects falling in oil with Tracker Software. By tracking the video recording of the motion of an object falling in a liquid, data, and graphs of the speed of the falling motion can be obtained. Then from the data obtained, the viscosity value is obtained using the equation. The results of the 5 cooking oils, using the tool, were that oil 1 had a viscosity coefficient of 0.2732 Pa.s; oil 2 with 0.3077 Pa.s; oil 3 with 0.3127 Pa.s; oil 4 with 0.3186; and oil 5 with 0.3218 Pa.s. Meanwhile, the results of the oil viscosity coefficient using manual calculations showed that oil 1 had 0.2733 Pa.s; oil 2 with 0.3089 Pa.s; oil 3 with 0.3136 Pa.s; oil 4 with 0.3188; and oil 5 with 0.3219 Pa.s. The percentage of error that occurs from the tool is 0.17%. The oil with a smaller viscosity coefficient is coconut oil (better quality than palm oil), while the quality of bulk oil is indicated by a larger viscosity coefficient. It could be asserted that the oil's quality improves as the viscosity coefficient decreases.
