Abstract

Learning Javanese is considered difficult by elementary school students, especially in Javanese script material. This can be seen based on the value of Javanese script reading skills that have not met the KKTP, the cause of low student scores is due to the different abilities of each student and students assume that learning Javanese is very difficult to understand and boring. In addition, the lack of variation in learning models applied by teachers seems monotonous, and is not accompanied by learning media so that students are passive and not interested in participating in learning. This study aims to determine the increase in the TGT learning model assisted by puzzle media on the Javanese script reading skills of grade IV elementary school students. The implementation of the study was located at SDN 4 Getassrabi with a quantitative research method Pre-Experimental Design. Data acquisition comes from the pre-test with the aim of determining the initial abilities of students before being given treatment. And the post-test was carried out after being given treatment. The results of this study showed a percentage value of N-Gain of 59% with fairly effective improvement criteria. Therefore, the use of the TGT learning model assisted by puzzle media on the Javanese script reading skills of grade IV students has experienced an effective increase for us

Abstract

Kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa tergolong rendah dikarenakan cara berpikir siswa masih pada benda konkret, sementara guru tidak memperhatikan hal tersebut sehingga siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep perkalian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas II SD 1 Padurenan dalam proses pembelajaran melalui model Superitem. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II SD 1 Padurenan Kecamatan Gebog Kabupaten Kudus yang berjumlah 21 siswa. Variabel bebas penelitian ini adalah model Superitem. Serta variabel terikat yakni pemahaman konsep siswa kelas II SD 1 Padurenan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan dimana rata-rata pada siklus I sebesar 80,42 dengan kriteria baik dan siklus II 86,19 dengan kriteria sangat baik hingga mencapai presentase klasikal 85,71%. Maka penerapan model pembelajaran Superitem terbukti dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi perkalian kelas II SD 1 Padurenan.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of learning innovation and the use of lecture methods that give the impression of monotonous learning. This learning atmosphere will make students bored more quickly. The level of student focus will also decrease when boredom arises. This study aims to test the validity and attractiveness of the monopoly media of the kingdom in the archipelago in science learning for grade IV. The place of this research was conducted at SDN Tlogomojo on February 2025. The subjects in this study were 7 expert validators, 1 class teacher, and 6 students. This study uses the R & D (Research and Development) method developed by Borg and Gall. Data collection instruments were obtained from interviews, observations, and questionnaires. Data validation uses data triangulation. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The results of the study showed that the development of monopoly media carried out through the validation test stages, namely through the validation test of media expert I obtained a percentage of 98.33% which means very feasible, validation of media expert II received a score of 79.76% criteria "feasible", validation of media expert III with a percentage of 93.53% criteria "very feasible". The validation test of material expert I with a score of 97.2%, and validation of material expert II with a score of 98.6% category "very feasible". In addition, validation from language expert I obtained a percentage of 98.33% with the criteria "very feasible" and language expert II 94.16% with the criteria "very feasible". Teacher assessment obtained a percentage of 83.45% and the response of student interest in monopoly media was 87.90% "very interesting".

Abstract

This study explores the integration of ethnoscience and physics perspectives in determining the Hijri calendar in Kudus City, Central Java. Using a qualitative descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and document analysis, this research reveals that the Kudus community harmonizes scientific reasoning (hisab) with empirical and religious practices (rukyat) based on local wisdom. The findings show that the hisab imkan rukyah haqiqi tahqiqi method applied in the Menara Kudus Almanac represents an advanced traditional model that aligns with modern astronomical calculations involving the Moon's synodic cycle, celestial geometry, and atmospheric refraction. Scientifically, this study contributes to understanding how local ethnoscience can complement and contextualize formal knowledge of physics and astronomy. Practically, it provides insights for developing culture-based science education, particularly in astronomy learning, and offers empirical references for policy formulation on Hijri calendar standardization. However, the study is limited to the Kudus context, suggesting the need for comparative research across other Indonesian regions and further validation using digital simulation or optical instrumentation to enrich the integration between local wisdom and scientific astronomy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the increase in science critical thinking skills of fifth grade students at SD Kayuapu before and after using the Reciprocal Teaching learning model based on educative game media. The research design uses a quantitative experiment, namely the Pre-Experimental Design with the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design model. The data obtained through the written test method is a description test. The location of this research will be carried out in class V SD Kayuapu. The sample in this study was 20 grade V students using the saturated sample technique. The results of this study show that the percentage of the N-Gain value is 56%, which indicates a fairly effective increase. So, there is an increase in students' pretest and posttest scores before and after learning using the Reciprocal Teaching model based on educative game media on the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students at SD Kayuapu.

Abstract

Reading difficulties are obstacles in reading experienced by students. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of student's difficulties in reading. This research uses a qualitative approach. This research will be carried out at SD 2 Kaliwungu with the subject of research, namely five grade 1 students. This study used data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis used is qualitative data analysis with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results showed that five grade 1 students had difficulty reading, including difficulty recognizing and identifying letters of the alphabet, unable to distinguish letters that are almost similar when reading, difficulty in spelling letters and syllables, difficulty in pronouncing consonant combinations, difficulty in pronouncing diphthong combinations, and difficulty in pronouncing the letter "r". Based on the results of data analysis from several previous studies and various references or sources that there are still low-grade students who have difficulty reading with some characteristics of reading difficulties they experience.

Abstract

Conventional assessment methods used in evaluating fifth-grade students at SDN Kedungwaru Kidul 1 have led to low motivation and suboptimal learning outcomes. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using Kahoot as a medium for evaluating students’ cognitive abilities. A pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach was employed, involving 24 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through multiple-choice tests administered before and after the treatment. The paired sample t-test showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p = 0.000 0.05), indicating that the use of Kahoot effectively enhances students’ cognitive abilities. Additionally, the implementation of this interactive digital media increased student motivation and engagement during the evaluation process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain media pembelajaran mini zoo pada materi perkembangbiakan hewan, mengetahui hasil belajar sisw terhadap media pembelajaran mini zoo yang telah dikembangkan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model pengembangan R&D oleh Borg and Gall, dimana tahapan yang ada pada model pengembangan R&D adalah potensi masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisian desain, ujicoba produk, revisi produk dan produk akhir. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu berupa soal pretest dan soal posttest yang diberikan pada siswa kelas V SD & Kandangmas. Hasil validasi ahli media masuk dalam kategori baik dan dapat digunakan dengan sedikit revisi. Hasil validasi ahli materi masuk dalam kategori baik dan dapat digunakan tanpa revisi. Rata-rata hasil uji coba dengan instrumen soal pretest dan posttest masing-masing sebesar 5,7 dan 9,2. Berdasarkan hasil rata-rata soal pretest dan posttest yang diperoleh dalam penelotian ini dapaat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan media mini zoo dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk emningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.This study aims to desaign a mini zoo learning media on animal breeding material, knowing student learning outcomes on the mini zoo learning media that has been developed. The development model  used in this research is the R&D development model by Borg and Gall, where the stages in the R&D development model are potential problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, design The instrument used were pretest questions and posttest questions given to 5th grade students of SD 7 Kandangmas. The result of media expert validation are in the good category and can be used with minor revisions. The result of material expert validation are in the good category and can be used without revision. The average test result with pretest dan posttest question instruments were 5.7 and 9.2 respectively. Based on the average result of pretest and posttest question obtained in this study, it can be concluded that the development of mini zoo memdia can be used as learning media to improve student learning outcomes.
