Abstract

Greening is one of the important activities that must be carried out in dealing with the environmental crisis. Tanjung Breaks Village is one of the villages that is quite active in supporting the greening program. Reforestation activities are carried out to increase public awareness and concern for the cleanliness and beauty of the people in Tanjung Breaks Village. The method used in this activity is socialization regarding the importance of cleanliness and the beauty of the surrounding environment and inviting the community to participate in Gotong Royong and the greening that we are carrying out. In this activity, it is hoped that later the community will become more concerned about the cleanliness and beauty of the environment.

Abstract

The community service program aims to: 1) improve the literacy and numeracy of elementary school-age children; 2) reduce the addiction of elementary school-aged children to playing online games; and 3) help parents pay more attention to their children's learning of literacy and numeracy in Padang Cermin Village. The form of community service activities is carried out by making tutoring in literacy and numeracy available. The subjects of the service are elementary school-age children and their parents. Activities are carried out in stages, including planning, observation, technical implementation, program implementation, and evaluation. The results of community service obtained have succeeded in: 1) improving the literacy and numeracy abilities of elementary school-aged children; 2) reducing the addiction of elementary school-aged children to playing online games; and 3) helping parents pay more attention to their children's learning of literacy and numeracy in Padang Cermin Village.

Abstract

The community service program aims to: 1) improve the learning achievement of elementary school-age children; 2) increase the learning motivation of elementary school-age children; and 3) help parents pay more attention to their children while they are studying in Tanjung Putus Village. Formal community service activities are carried out by making study assistance available through tutoring. The subjects of the service are elementary school-age children and their parents. Implementation of activities through several stages, namely planning, observation, implementation of technical implementation, program implementation, and evaluation. The results of community service obtained have succeeded in: 1) increasing the learning achievement abilities of elementary school-age children; 2) increasing the learning motivation of elementary school-age children; and 3) helping parents pay more attention to their children's studies in Tanjung Putus Village.

Abstract

This study looks the realistic mathematics approach impacts students' critical thinking skills in mathematics. Using a quantitative method and a one-shot case study design, the research examined the relationship between the independent variable (realistic mathematics approach) and the dependent variable (mathematical critical thinking skills) through simple linear regression. Data were collected from 36 students using a mathematical critical thinking skills test and analyzed statistically. The results showed that the realistic mathematics approach significantly improved students' critical thinking skills. This is demonstrated by the regression equation Y=19,584+0,922X, with an F value of 241.436 and a p-value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. These findings confirm that applying the realistic mathematics approach influences mathematical critical thinking skills. The study highlights the importance of integrating the realistic mathematics approach into the curriculum and teaching practices to help develop students' critical thinking skills. It also suggests opportunities for future research to explore other factors affecting critical thinking skills and to assess this teaching model in broader settings. These findings aim to inspire the creation of more innovative learning models to enhance mathematics education quality.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a practical and effective academic supervision program to improve the teaching skills of teachers at Bintang Langkat Private High School. This type of research is a development research, or Research and Development, and is designed to follow the stages of the ADDIE development model: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection methods used in this study are validity testing by media experts, design experts, and material experts as well as a small-scale trial with 3 teachers and a large-scale trial with 10 teachers at Bintang Langkat Private High School. This program was designed using a descriptive quantitative approach. The instruments used in this study include a validation questionnaire from experts to assess the level of validity, as well as questionnaires aimed at teachers and users to evaluate aspects of practicality and effectiveness. The results of the study revealed that the quality of the product in terms of validity is categorized as very valid. The average assessment from material experts, media experts, and design experts achieved an overall score of 88%. Based on a questionnaire administered to 10 teachers at Bintang Langkat Private High School, the practicality aspect achieved an overall average score of 92.2%, meeting the criteria for very practicality. Furthermore, based on a questionnaire administered to 10 teachers at Bintang Langkat Private High School, the effectiveness aspect achieved an overall average score of 92.2%, meeting the criteria for very effective.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to empower Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) teachers in enhancing their skills to design deep learning through innovative training. The program was conducted at MTs Al-Fauzi and involved 20 teachers as participants. Initial analysis revealed that most teachers were in the medium (45%) and low (35%) categories, while only 20% achieved the high category. This indicated that teachers faced challenges in integrating higher-order thinking skills (HOTS), problem-solving, and project-based learning into their lesson plans. After the training, a significant shift occurred: the low category decreased to 10%, the medium category dropped to 30%, and the high category increased to 60%. These results demonstrate that innovative training through hands-on practice, collaborative discussion, and lesson design simulation was effective in improving teachers’ skills. However, the program had several limitations, including limited training duration, short-term evaluation, and a relatively small number of participants. Therefore, continuous mentoring and follow-up activities are recommended to ensure that the improved skills are consistently applied in daily classroom practices.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa, yang dipengaruhi oleh pembelajaran konvensional, pemanfaatan teknologi yang belum optimal, serta belum dimasukkannya unsur budaya lokal dalam pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh Ethno-Realistic Mathematics Education (Ethno-RME) berbantuan GeoGebra dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan rancangan quasi-eksperimen non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Secanggang, dengan VIII-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII-2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes uraian untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar, serta angket dan wawancara untuk memperoleh data kualitatif mengenai pengalaman belajar siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana, uji hipotesis, dan koefisien determinasi (R²) melalui SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen 77,86, lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol 67,37. Analisis regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan nilai Sig. 0,000 (<0,05) dan koefisien determinasi R² = 0,663, yang berarti 66,3% variasi nilai post-test dijelaskan oleh model pembelajaran. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa Ethno-RME berbantuan GeoGebra berpengaruh positif dan signifikan, sehingga model ini layak dijadikan alternatif pembelajaran matematika yang kontekstual dan berbasis budaya.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai penerapan teknologi dalam pendidikan sudah banyak dilakukan, tetapi kajian yang secara khusus meneliti penggunaan LKPD berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) pada mata pelajaran Matematika di tingkat MTs/SMP masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan LKPD berbasis AR ditinjau dari aspek validitas, kepraktisan, serta efektivitasnya terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model Plomp yang meliputi tiga tahap, yaitu investigasi awal, pembuatan prototipe, dan penilaian. Subjek penelitian adalah 31 siswa kelas VIII MTs Al Munawwarah serta tim validator, dengan objek penelitian berupa LKPD berbasis AR. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dan tes. Hasil validasi menunjukkan persentase 93% dari ahli desain dan 88,9% dari ahli materi yang termasuk kategori sangat valid. Kepraktisan LKPD tampak dari hasil respon guru sebesar 89,5% dan respon siswa sebesar 81,2%, keduanya berada pada kategori sangat praktis. Efektivitas LKPD terlihat dari perolehan persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa 70,96% (kategori baik) dan nilai gain sebesar 59,7 (kategori cukup efektif). Dengan demikian, LKPD berbasis AR pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.

Abstract

A The Pancasila learner profile describes the competencies and characters developed in daily life and applied by each learner through educational programs, the Pancasila learner profile, or other extracurricular activities. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the ability of students' understanding in learning arithmetic through efforts to improve the project of strengthening the Pancasila profile through the theme of entrepreneurship. The population in this study were X grade students of Taruna Bangsa High School. The sample is class X students totaling 5 students. Learners' understanding ability is determined through tests, interviews, and documentation used for data collection. This data was then analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. The results showed that through the Pancasila learner profile strengthening project the understanding of students on Arithmetic material increased. The expected suggestion from the researcher is that the strengthening of the Pancasila learner profile can help improve students' understanding of the learning material being taught.

Abstract

Specifically, it examines (1) the feasibility of using these digital books and (2) their practicality digital books in a real classroom setting. The research follows Plomp's development model, which includes three stages: initial investigation, development or prototyping, and assessment. The study focuses on class X students at SMK Taman Siswa Binjai. To gather data, questionnaires were distributed to media and material experts to evaluate the feasibility of the digital book learning media. Additionally, student response questionnaires were used to assess the practicality of these digital books. The data analysis examined the validity and practicality of the digital book learning media created with Flip PDF Corporate, based on digital literacy. The findings reveal that the developed digital book learning media is highly feasible, with an impressive feasibility score of 98%. Moreover, the practicality assessment showed that students found the digital book products very practical, with a high approval rating of 94.72%. Future research should consider conducting longitudinal studies to evaluate the long-term effects of using digital book learning media on students' knowledge retention, critical thinking skills, and motivation. This research provides valuable insights into the sustainability and effectiveness of digital learning media.
