Abstract

Green water is one of the growing media which can increase the growth of Daphnia magna. This study aims to determine the effect of green water on the abundance of D. magna. The method used was an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatment levels and 3 repetitions. Treatment P0 = control, P1 = administration of green water at a dose of 7.5 ml/L, P2 = dose of 8.5 ml/L, P3 = dose of 9.5 ml/L. Green water is made with goat manure and bran. Then the two ingredients are mixed in a jar and water is added. Then let stand for 3-7 days and stirred every 2 times a day. The D. magna seeds used were 6 days old with a stocking density of 10 ind/L. The application of green water soaked in rice bran and goat manure had a significant effect on the abundance of D. magna. The best dose treatment was P3 which produced 2900 ind/l with the highest specific growth rate of 0.710746% with water quality that was still relatively good for the growth of D. magna.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the best doses of bromelin enzyme in commercial feed to increase the growth and survival rate of gouramy seeds in the aquaponic recirculation system. The research was carried out in February 20 to April 30, 2019 at the Fish Hatchery Unit, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Riau University. The fish were kept in a bucket with volume of 40 L water and stocking density of 20 ind/40 L. L using experimental method of completely randomized design (RAL), one factor with three treatments and three replications. The treatments were P0 = without the addition of bromelain enzymes, P1 = addition of bromelain enzymes 1.5% /kg of feed, P2 = addition of bromelain enzymes 2.25% /kg of feed and, P3 = Addition of bromelin enzymes 3% /kg of feed. The results showed that the administration of bromelin enzymes with different doses in the feed in aquaponic recirculation system culture showed an influence on weight growth, absolute length, specific growth rate, feed efficiency, feed conversion ratio and survival of gouramy. The best treatment was obtained in P3, namely administration of bromelain enzymes at a dose of 3% / kg of feed with an absolute growth weight value of 20.43g, absolute growth length 2.50 cm, specific growth rate 1.08%, feed conversion 1.16 and fish survival rate 88.3. %. The quality of water during the study were temperature 27-28.6 0C, pH 6.5-7.3, dissolved oxygen 4.8-6.3 ppm and ammonia 0.02-0.08 mg / L

Abstract

This research was conducted in Canang Kering Village, XX environment of Belawan Canang, Medan Belawan, Medan City, North Sumatra Province. This study aims to determine the effect of injection of batik spinach extract (Amaranthus bicolor) in accelerating molting, specific growth rate and survival rate of mud crabs (Scylla serrata). This research was conducted using Experimental Methods with a completely randomized design (CRD), namely 5 levels of treatment and 3 replications of. P0 (Without injection of batik spinach extract), P1 (Injection of batik spinach extract with a dose of 110 ppm/head), P2 (Injection of batik spinach extract with a dose of 130 ppm/head), P3 (Injection of batik spinach extract with a dose of 150 ppm/head), P4 (Injection of batik spinach extract with a dose of 170 ppm/head). The test animals used were mud crabs (Scylla serrata) with an average initial weight of ±100 grams/head. Animal testing used were 60 mud crabs were used and kept in a plastic basket measuring (59 x 37 x 17) cm3 during 60 days. The results showed that injection of batik spinach extract (Amaranthus bicolor) had a significant effect (P<0,05) on growth, velocity of molting time, amount of molting, specific growth rate, survival rate, but no significant effect (P>0,05) on survival rate of mud crubs. The results showed that the best treatment in accelerating the molting time was P3 with an average of 12,50 days. The highest carapace width growth occured at P3 namely 22,50 mm. Specific growth rate was 0,76% in P3 and the highest survival rate was at P0 100%.

Abstract

This study aims to know the effect of stocking density of eel (Monopterus albus) reared in mud media on growth and survival. The research was carried out in March 3, 2020 - April 12, 2020 at the Fish Hatchery Unit, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Riau University. The test animals in this study were rice field eels (Monopterus albus) with a size of 14 cm - 16 cm, as many as 252 animals were spread into 12 buckets. Using experimental method of completely randomized design (RAL), one factor with four treatments and three replications. The treatments were different stocking density P1 = 200 ind/m3, P2 = 300 ind/m3, P3 = 400 ind/m3, P4 = 500 ind/m3. The results showed that of eel (Monopterus albus) stocking density reared in mud media had a significant effect (P <0.05) on absolute weight growth, specific growth rate, feed conversion ratio but had no significant effect on survival (SR). The best treatment was at stocking density P1 200 ind/m3 with an absolute weight yield of 6.96 g, absolute length 8.96 cm, specific growth rate 2.35%, feed conversion ratio (FCR) 1.23, and survival (SR). 80.55%. The range of water quality during the study, namely, temperature 27-29.9ºC, pH 6-7, dissolved oxygen 6.17.4 mg / L, and ammonia ranged from 0.03-0.06 mg / L.

Abstract

The research it was conducted on March to May 2021 at Hatchery Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Riau. This study aims to determine the growth of Osphronemus gouramy fish that given POC (Organic Liquid Fertilizer) with different doses with the Aquaponic system. This research using a container bucket -sized 100 liters as much as 15 units. Dose POC ( Fertilizer Organic Liquid ) were used in the study is that P 0 (control), P 1 (0.5 ml / l), P 2 (0.875 ml / l), P 3 (1.25 ml / l), P 4 (1.625 ml / l), the technology that is used in research this is a technology Aquaponics to use the swamp as a plant . The method that is used in research is a method of experimentation that is Design Randomized Complete (RAL) one factor with a five- stage treatment and three times repetition . From the results of the research that has been done it can be known that the treatment that is best in research is the treatment of P 3 , namely the provision of POC ( Fertilizer Organic Liquid ) with a dose of 1.25 ml / l. Water quality during the study obtained temperature 26.0-26.6°C, pH 6.20-7.98, DO 6.1-7.9 mg/l, ammonia 0.0002-0.0014 mg/l, and bundance of phytoplankton 112.319 ind/l. Giving a dose of POC ( Fertilizer Organic Liquid ) differ in the maintenance of fish carp give the effect that the real against the growing weight of absolute of 10.20 grams, the growth of long- absolute of 4.26 cm, the rate of growth specifically by 1.91%, the conversion of feed at 0, 93%, 100% survival rate , plant absolute weight 7.26 grams, and plant absolute length 37.33 cm.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of different doses of probiotics minaraya in feed on the growth and survival of baung fish (Hemibagrus nemurus) maintained with resirculation system. This research was conducted from March - April 2021 at the Laboratory of Aquaculture Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Riau. The container used was an aquarium measuring 60 cm x 40 cm x 40 cm as many as 15 units with a stocking density of 15 fish/60 L. This study used a completely randomized design method (CRD) one factor with five levels of treatment and three repetitions. The level of treatment applied in the study was P0 = without giving probiotik minaraya (Control), P1 = dose of probiotik minaraya 2 mL/kg of feed, P2 = dose of probiotik minaraya 4 mL/kg of feed, P3 = dose of probiotik minaraya 6 mL/kg of feed and P4 = dose of probiotik minaraya 8 mL/kg of feed. The results showed that giving probiotik minaraya with different doses in the feed had a significant effect (P<0.05) on growth but had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the survival rate of the baung fish seeds. The best treatment was found at a probiotik minaraya dose of 8 mL/kg of feed, which produced feed digestibility rate (59,3 %), protein digestibility rate (85,3 %), total weight growth (7,86±0,07 g), total length growth (7,17±0,37 cm), specific growth rate (3,20±0,20 %), feed efficiency (68,92±0,72 %), feed conversion (1,46±0,05 %), survival rate (93,33±2,89 %). Water quality parameter recorded were : temperature 27,7-28,5 ºC, power of hydrogen 6,22-7,12, dissolved oxygen (DO) 3,07-7,07 mg/L , and ammonia (NH3) 0,00016- 0,00501 mg/L.

Abstract

This research was carried out from November 20 2020 to January 10 2021 at the Laboratory of Aquaculture Technology and Seedling Unit Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs, Riau University. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of oyster mushroom cultivation waste mixed with rice field mud on biomass and silkworm populations. The method used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatment levels ; P1 (450 grams), P2 (550 grams), P3 (650 grams) and P4 (750 grams). Silkworm rearing media in this study was oyster mushroom waste (Baglog) which had been fermented using EM4. The parameters measured in this study were the growth of silkworm biomass, silkworm population and water quality. The results showed that the dose of oyster mushroom cultivation waste as a medium for rearing silkworms had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the growth of biomass and silkworm population. Treatment of oyster mushroom waste at a dose of 650 gram resulted in the growth of silkworm biomass of 59.33 grams/cm3 and a silkworm population of 100.943 ind/m2. The water quality parameters in the silkworm rearing tank were temperature 25,5-30oC, pH 6,1-7,6, DO 3,9-7,0 mg/L and ammonia 0,03-0,27 mg/L.

Abstract

Barramundi ( lates calcarifer ) is a fish that has important economic value as a consumption fish. The amount of feed spent in the cultivation of Barramundi is high enough. Addition of probiotics to feed is one of efforts made to be able to streamline the amount of feed in the maintenance of Barramundi. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of probiotic addition on the growth of Barramundi use system recirculation as well as got dose the best probiotics. This research implemented on 24 July 2021 – 01 September 2021 for 40 days at the Gogok Marine Aquaculture Center (BPBL), Kepulauan Meranti Regency, Riau Province. Method used in this study Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatment levels and 3 replications. Treatment in study this is giving Probiotic probio-7 with different dosage namely P0 ( Control ), P1 (10 mL/kg feed ), P2 (20 mL/kg feed ), P3 (30 mL/kg feed ), and P4 (40 mL/kg feed ). Results research that has been done could known that addition probiotics on feed take effect to growth Barramundi (L. calcarifer). Treatment best obtained on treatment dose probiotics 20 ml/kg feed with weight absolute 13.84 grams, length absolute 2.16 cm, speed growth 3.50% specific , efficiency feed 61.43%, and conversion feed 1.62%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of different doses of booster grotop in feed on the growth and survival of Asian Redtail (Hemibagrus nemurus) maintained in peat swamp media. This research was conducted from 27 March - 05 May 2020 at the Laboratory of Aquaculture Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Riau. The container used was an aquarium measuring 60 cm x 40 cm x 40 cm as many as 15 units with a stocking density of 12 fish/60 L. This study used a completely randomized design method (CRD) one factor with five levels of treatment and three repetitions. The level of treatment applied in the study was P0 = without giving Boster Grotop (Control), P1 = dose of Boster Grotop 25 g/kg of feed, P2 = dose of Boster Grotop 30 g/kg of feed. P3 = dose of Boster Grotop 35 g/kg of feed and P4 = dose of Boster Grotop 40 g/kg of feed. The results showed that giving boster grotop with different doses in the feed had a significant effect (P<0.05) on growth but had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the survival rate of the Asian Redtail seeds. The best treatment was found at a boster grotop dose of 40 g/kg of feed, which produced protease enzyme activity (0.1731 IU/mL), total weight growth (5.11 g), total length growth (3.73 cm), specific growth rate (3.67%), feed efficiency (72.30%), feed conversion (1.38), survival rate (86.11%).

Abstract

Desa Pulau Komang Sentajo merupakan salah satu desa yang terletak di Kecamatan Sentajo Raya, Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi, Provinsi Riau. Di desa ini telah dilakukan kegiatan budidaya ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus) di kolam tanah, namun produksi ikan belum optimal dan belum dapat memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen. Rendahnya produksi ikan disebabkan oleh tingginya kematian ikan akibat pengelolaan kolam yang kurang baik serta berkembangnya mikroorganisme patogen penyebab penyakit dan kematian ikan. Rendahnya produksi ikan juga karena pembudidaya ikan tidak mampu memberikan pakan buatan (pelet) secara kontinu sehingga ikan kurus dan pertumbuhannya relatif lambat / produksi rendah. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan inovasi pengetahuan, wawasan, dan keterampilan untuk memotivasi masyarakat Desa Pulau Komang Sentajo melakukan budidaya ikan nila dengan teknik yang baik dan benar sehingga menjadi suatu wirausaha yang berkelanjutan. Tahapan kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam pengabdian ini meliputi persiapan pelaksanaan kegiatan, penyampaian materi dan penyuluhan tentang teknologi bioflok pada media budidaya dan pembuatan pakan ikan mandiri berupa pelet dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan lokal yang murah harganya tetapi berkualitas baik, pembuatan kolam percontohan, pembuatan pakan ikan mandiri, pendampingan dan pembinaan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil evaluasi terhadap pelaksanaan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan yang dilaksanakan sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat dengan hasil 30% menyatakan ‘Sangat Setuju’ dan 70% menyatakan ‘Setuju’. Hasil evaluasi juga menunjukkan bahwa 20% peserta menyatakan ‘Sangat Setuju’ dan 80% menyatakan ‘Setuju’ bahwa mereka mampu melaksanakan kegiatan dengan baik dan antusias terhadap kegiatan.
