Abstract

Hamzah al-Fansuri merupakan salah satu tokoh sufi Nusantara yang berperan penting dalam perkembangan pemikiran Islam pada abad ke-16 di wilayah Aceh. Melalui karya-karya berbentuk syair dan prosa, Hamzah mengembangkan gagasan tasawuf falsafi yang dipengaruhi oleh ajaran wahdat al-wujud (kesatuan wujud) Ibn ‘Arabi. Pemikiran Islam Hamzah al-Fansuri tidak hanya menekankan dimensi spiritualitas dan kedekatan hamba dengan Tuhan, tetapi juga mengandung unsur intelektual dan budaya lokal yang kuat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemikiran-pemikiran utama Hamzah al-Fansuri, terutama mengenai konsep ketuhanan, manusia, dan hakikat wujud. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif-hermeneutik, yaitu menganalisis teks-teks karya Hamzah dalam konteks historis dan filosofis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemikiran Hamzah memiliki sintesis antara ajaran Islam ortodoks dengan mistisisme, serta membuka ruang interpretasi terhadap keberagaman ekspresi keislaman di Nusantara. Pemikiran Hamzah al-Fansuri juga menjadi titik tolak munculnya perdebatan intelektual di kalangan ulama Aceh, yang mempengaruhi dinamika teologi Islam lokal pada masa itu.

Abstract

This study delved into the model of tolerance among Acehnese Dayah Salafiyah students, aiming to bridge the gap in understanding their perceived tolerance amidst societal stigmas. Data from two Dayah Salafiyah, Dayah Darussalam Labuhan Haji, and Dayah Ummul Ayman Samalanga, were gathered through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies. Data analysis including data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. This analysis was conducted continuously throughout the research, from data collection to conclusion. Findings indicated a tendency towards passive tolerance among students, which aligned with Islamic principles of tasamuh and was integrated into their education. Despite negative perceptions, students exhibited principles of equality, harmony, and respect for diversity, challenging accusations of intolerance. However, shortcomings existed in exploring contemporary tolerance issues, especially in teacher involvement and understanding beginner-level students. Encouraging the implementation of existing tolerance is vital for Dayah’s internal and external stakeholders. These findings deepened the understanding of tolerance models in Aceh’s Dayah Salafiyahs, warranting consideration by researchers in future studies. Additionally, the authors recommend that other researchers consider the results of this study as a reference for their research or surveys, emphasizing the need for developing tolerance indices tailored to the unique characteristics of each region to demonstrate tolerance towards others.

Abstract

The Al-Qur'an Reading and Writing Program (BTQ) aims to improve students' Qur'an reading skills according to Tajwid rules and foster religious character through systematic education. This study examines the planning, implementation, and assessment of the BTQ program at SD Negeri 11 Sabang using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation. Findings reveal that program planning was thorough and structured, starting with initial assessments to gauge student abilities, curriculum development aligned with the school's vision, and scheduling that did not disrupt other lessons. The program involved key stakeholders such as the principal, vice principal, PAI teachers, and parents, ensuring comprehensive support. Implementation was student-centered, employing methods like iqra' and tahsin to enhance reading accuracy and Tajwid mastery, while also promoting religious character through motivational activities like Qur'an reading competitions. Collaboration with parents and material adjustments based on students’ abilities contributed to the program's smooth execution. Regular monitoring through assessments and classroom observations measured students' progress. Personalized support was provided for those needing extra assistance. With consistent monitoring and targeted guidance, the BTQ program effectively improved students' Qur'an reading skills and strengthened their religious character.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the obstacles faced by teachers in implementing the independent curriculum in Bireuen Regency. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach. The research method employed in this study is a survey method, where information is collected from respondents using a questionnaire through Google Forms. The data collected in this study is sourced from Islamic Education teachers (PAI) at the elementary (SD/MI), junior high (SMP/MTs), and senior high (SMA/MA) levels in Bireuen Regency. The data analysis technique used in this research is a descriptive method. Based on the results of the conducted research, it was found that the obstacles faced by teachers in Bireuen Regency in the implementation of the independent curriculum include a lack of experience with independent learning, limited references, access constraints in teaching, time management, inadequate competencies (skills), mindset changes, insufficient support and training, as well as evaluation and assessment issues

Abstract

In a formal educational institution , curriculum is an important point where the curriculum becomes a reference for things that must be achieved in every learning process. The curriculum in Indonesian education often undergoes various kinds of changes and is still centralized in which the Indonesian Education Institute focuses more on developed cities in Indonesia as a benchmark for developing the education curriculum in Indonesia. For Islamic Cultural History subjects, curriculum development is regulated directly by the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, the latest development occurred in 2019, where the KMA 183 and 184 curriculum were available. This curriculum encourages and provides rules on how to innovate in the implementation of the madrasa curriculum and provides a legal umbrella in the development of the distinctiveness of Madrasas, the development of character strengthening, Anti-Corruption Education and the Development of Religious Moderation in Madrasas. This study focuses on the development of the SKI curriculum in MTsN in Banda Aceh, the aim is to see how the implementation of the KMA 183 and 184 curriculum and what obstacles are experienced in implementing the curriculum. The results of the study found that the KMA 183 and 184 curriculum really helped students in understanding the material being taught, but some teachers still felt the need for guidance from a competent facilitator in order to be able to apply this curriculum optimally. The main obstacle felt was the lack of procurement of SKI books in accordance with the KMA 183 and 184 curriculum, so that many students did not have these books.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the dilemmas faced by Islamic educational institutions that implement the independent curriculum. The focus of the research is on implementation, and obstacles to maintaining Islamic characteristics in the latest curriculum. The research method used is qualitative, based on literature study. The data source used is the results of relevant research related to the topic, which is tracked using the publish or ferish application with a total of fifty relevant texts. Data analysis using systematic literature review. The results revealed that the Implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in Islamic Education Institutions involves the process of adapting Islamic principles in curriculum development which focuses on religious values, morals, and Islamic science. This involves preparing learning materials, teaching methods, and evaluations that are in accordance with Islamic values as well as the needs and context of the Islamic education institution. The constraints of implementing an independent curriculum in Islamic education institutions include limited resources, institutional conservatism, incompatibility with local needs, teacher and staff readiness, community and parent reactions, and performance evaluation and monitoring.

Abstract

Learning motivation is a crucial factor in the success of Tahfidz programs in Islamic elementary schools. This study aims to examine the forms of reward and punishment implemented in the co-curricular Tahfidz Al-Qur’an and Hadith program at MIN 2 Nagan Raya, students’ responses to these strategies, and their impact on learning motivation. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, students, and parents. The findings reveal that rewards in the form of verbal praise, certificates, small gifts, and symbolic recognition, such as the opportunity to lead prayer, foster students’ enthusiasm and self-confidence in memorization. Meanwhile, punishments such as additional assignments, verbal warnings, and written commitments are accepted positively as constructive guidance rather than punitive measures. The consistent and contextual application of both strategies contributes to improved attendance, discipline, and achievement of memorization targets. This study suggests that reward and punishment, when designed in a humanistic and proportional manner, serve not only as motivational tools but also as a medium for cultivating students’ religious character and learning discipline. Abstrak Motivasi belajar merupakan faktor penting dalam keberhasilan program Tahfidz di madrasah ibtidaiyah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bentuk-bentuk reward dan punishment yang diterapkan dalam program kokurikuler Tahfidz Al-Qur’an dan Hadits di MIN 2 Nagan Raya, respons siswa terhadap strategi tersebut, serta dampaknya terhadap motivasi belajar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan kepala madrasah, guru, siswa, dan orang tua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa reward berupa pujian lisan, piagam, hadiah sederhana, serta penghargaan simbolis seperti kesempatan menjadi imam shalat mampu menumbuhkan semangat dan rasa percaya diri siswa dalam menghafal. Sementara itu, punishment berupa tugas tambahan, teguran lisan, dan penulisan surat komitmen diterima secara positif sebagai bentuk pembinaan, bukan hukuman yang menjatuhkan. Penerapan kedua strategi secara konsisten dan kontekstual berkontribusi pada peningkatan kehadiran, kedisiplinan, serta pencapaian target hafalan siswa. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa reward dan punishment yang dirancang secara humanis dan proporsional tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai penguat motivasi, tetapi juga sebagai sarana pembentukan karakter religius dan disiplin belajar siswa.

Abstract

The long-standing dichotomy between religious sciences and general sciences has created a significant epistemological gap that affects the development and relevance of Islamic education in the modern era. This article aims to comprehensively analyze M. Amin Abdullah’s integrative–interconnective paradigm as an alternative approach to bridging this separation and constructing a more holistic scientific framework. Using a literature-based method, this study examines the conceptual foundation, epistemological principles, and practical implications of an integrative model that harmonizes revelation, reason, and empirical reality. The findings indicate that Amin Abdullah’s “spider web of knowledge” encourages multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary dialogue, thereby overcoming fragmentation and generating mutually reinforcing scientific insights. These results demonstrate that the integrative–interconnective paradigm is not only a theoretical framework for reconstructing contemporary Islamic epistemology but also has substantial implications for curriculum reform, learning strategies, character development, and the strengthening of religious moderation. Thus, this approach provides a significant contribution to shaping Islamic education that is more responsive, adaptive, and relevant to the challenges of the digital age and the complexities of modern life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi Metode Turki Utsmani terhadap kekuatan hafalan Al-Qur’an santri di Pondok Pesantren Sulaimaniyah Ferhan Sultan, Neuheun, Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes hafalan Al-Qur’an. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Turki Utsmani, yang menekankan pada pengulangan putaran, muraja’ah intensif, dan disiplin hafalan yang ketat, secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan hafalan santri. Nilai rata-rata santri meningkat dari 67,4 sebelum penerapan metode menjadi 88,7 setelahnya, menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 21,3 poin. Konsistensi peningkatan nilai di seluruh santri membuktikan bahwa metode ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas dan keberlanjutan hafalan Al-Qur’an. Faktor pendukung antara lain niat yang ikhlas, kedisiplinan pribadi, dan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif, sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi kurangnya muraja’ah, gangguan dari dunia luar, dan minimnya dukungan keluarga.
