Abstract

This study aims to explain the conditions of the protection of children, the role of government and the role of the Parliament within the protection of children. The data obtained through library needed. The data has been categorized, classified, and reduced then be concluded in accordance with the objectives of the study. Results of this study concluded that the government has provided protection for children through legal instruments and ratification of various laws on children. However, the government’s role in the protection seen as less effective, therefore, was born then several institutions aimed at protecting children, the National Commission for Child Protection (National Commission on Children) and the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (LPAI). Parliament as a legislative institution, also plays a role in the protection of children, especially to establish laws, monitoring of government policies, and the budget allocated for the realization of child protection in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to design a continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) type reactor to produce zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles. Mass balance calculations were carried out in this study as a benchmark to determine whether the reactor was working properly by knowing the flow of incoming raw materials and the products produced by the reactor. Furthermore, the reactor's design and the stirrer used in the reactor are calculated manually using Microsoft Excel. Based on the calculation results of the reactor design, the reactor volume is 8224.359 liters, with a vessel diameter of 73.298 in, a cylinder height of 166.090 in, and a cylinder thickness of 73.444 in. The top cover of the reactor measures 12.387 inches with a thickness of 0.072 inches, while the bottom cover measures 21.185 inches with a thickness of 0.083 inches, so the overall height of the reactor is 37.552 in. The reactor is equipped with one stirrer with an impeller diameter of 36.722 in, impeller height from the bottom of the tank is 24.433 in, impeller width is 7.344 in, and impeller length is 9.180 in. Turbulent stirring flow conditions with a standard motor power for the stirrer is 6.849 HP. This design will be a reference for building more economical, efficient, and highly demanding reactors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menganalisis desain reaktor tipe batch dalam mengoptimalkan produksi nanopartikel emas dalam skala industri. Metode yang digunakan dalam perancangan reactor ini adalah analisis komputasi terhadap perhitungan reactor, termasuk pengadukan dan neraca massa sebagai perhitungan awal dengan menggunakan aplikasi Microsoft excel secara manual. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa spesifikasi reactor yang dirancang ini memiliki volume reaktor 21.7335 ft3, tinggi silinder 13.4612 in, tinggi larutan dalam silinder 8.9046 in, diameter bejana 73.2984 in, tekanan desain 9.9978 psig, panjang impeller 9.1840 in, panjang poros 10.5418 in, dengan daya pengadukan 62.5228 Hp. Analisis desain reaktor ini menjadi tahapan penting dalam perancangan proses produksi dalam skala industri, dimana hasil spesifikasi dari reaktor hasil perancangan tersebut selain dapat digunakan untuk penyesuaian reaktor dengan produk, juga dapat digunakan sebagai acuan dalam biaya produksi. Hasil analisis komputasi dan perhitungan yang dilakukan pada perancangan reaktor dalam studi ini dapat dijadikan acuan dan dapat diterapkan dalam perancangan analisis kinerja reactor sebagai media pembelajaran termasuk mekanisme operasi pada proses produksi.

Abstract

Dalam upaya menjaga keberlanjutan usaha dan mencapai profit perusahaan, maka menjadi sebuah kebutuhan dan tuntutan bagi manajemen pengelolah hotel untuk selalu meningkatkan kinerjanya baik di tingkat pelayanan dan manajerial. Persediaan merupakan bagian dari modal kerja yang tertanam dalam bahan baku, barang setengah jadi, maupaun barang jadi tergantung jenis industrinya. Hotel harus memperkirakan dan merencanakan jumlah bahan groceries yang akan dipesan agar tidak terjadi pengumpulan barang di gudang maupun kekurangan bahan persediaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui biaya pemesanan, biaya penyimpanan, nilai persediaan dan pemesanan kembali bahan groceries dengan menggunakan Economic Order Quantity (EOQ). Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif, menurut Sugiyono (2016 :8) menjelaskan penelitian kuantitatif merupakan metode penelitian yang berlandaskan filsafat positivisme, yang digunakan untuk melakukan penelitian pada populasi dan sampel tertentu. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen penelitian, analisis data yang bersifat kuantitatif dengan tujuan untuk menguji hipotesis yang ditetapkan. Hasil penghitungan antara biaya pemesanan secara aktual dan menggunakan metode EOQ menunjukkan perbandingan yang cukup signifikan. Hal ini secara tidak langsung menambah biaya yang ditanggung oleh hotel. Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan maka persediaan bahan groceries Ijen Suites Resort and Convention Hotel belum maksimal. Dengan metode economic order quantity (EOQ), hotel dapat mengetahui nilai ekonomis untuk pembelian bahan groceries yang tepat dan meminimalkan biaya pembelian selanjutnya.Penentuan safety stock dan reorder point pada dapat digunakan untuk acuan hotel melakukan pemesanan kembali kepada supplier, sehingga tidak terjadi kekurangan bahan persediaan maupun penumpukan bahan groceries di bagian gudang agar biaya penyimpanan dan biaya pemeliharaan persediaan dapat dikendalikan.. Abstract

The synthesis of zeolite from fly ash has been investigated. The method used for the synthesis of zeolite in this research is the smelting method followed by a hydrothermal process. The zeolite synthesis was characterized using XRD and SEM. Based on the research results, it was found that fly ash can be synthesized into Na-P zeolite with morphology like coral, and cancrinite zeolite and sodalite with morphology like seaweed. The optimum condition for zeolite synthesis occurred at a hydrothermal process at 160°C for 24 hours with the formation of cancrinite zeolite. The synthesized zeolite resulting from the separation of 4 M of HCl formed Na-P zeolite and silica phase crystals which had the most optimum absorption of ammonium with an adsorption capacity of 18.025 mg/g with the adsorption kinetics model in the form of pseudo-second-order with a constant rate of 0.557 h-1 .

Abstract

The objectives of the study were to characterize natural zeolites from Cikalong, Tasikmalaya, Indonesia, and test for ammonium removal. Characterization was performed by using X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). According to XRF analysis, the ratio of Si/Al was 6.8. The XRD pattern revealed that the zeolites were mordenite dominant phase. The SEM images showed the needles shape of mordenite typical morphology. Ammonium removal test was performed in the batch reactor with a variation on natural zeolite mass loading and adsorption time. Various isotherm models, i.e., Langmuir, Langmuir-Vageler, Freundlich, and Tempkin were fitted with the kinetic data by using optimization of the sum of the least square method. The Langmuir-Vageler model was best fitted with the error sum of squares 0.01. Furthermore, the study on kinetic models such as Lagergren’s 1st order, Pseudo 2nd order, Elovich, and Intraparticle diffusion was fitted with the ammonium adsorption isotherm data by using optimization of the sum of the least square method. The Pseudo 2nd order showed the smallest error sum of squares 0.007.

Abstract

A Circulated Fluidized Bed (CFB) boiler is a type of steam boiler with more complex phenomena of fluidization and combustion occurring in the furnace. One of the operating problems is the temperature bed which is difficult to predict. Bed temperature prediction is important as a reference to know the combustion process and heat transfer along the furnace. The purpose of this study is multivariable data analysis to predict bed temperature based on historical data. The amount of historical data is then prepared for the dataset and passes through the stages of data cleansing, visualization, exploration, and engineering judgment. The parameters selected as control variables after going through the first principal analysis are 5 parameters, namely gross power, coal feed (X1), primary air (PA) flow (X2), secondary air (SA) flow (X3), and average bed temperature (y). The dataset is then divided based on the load into 2 groups a low load of 20.03-30.00 MW and a high load of 30.01-54.41 MW. Each parameter is converted to the natural logarithm (ln) then multivariable regression is performed. The result is a low load model equation  with Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) = 23.2813 and a high load model equation  with RMSE = 4.8416. This model can be used to predict the average bed temperature at certain input conditions of coal feed, PA flow, and SA flow according to operating load. Prospects for bed temperature prediction with this multivariable can be developed using data-based machine learning so that the operating patterns obtained are more accurate and real-time forecast prediction.

Abstract

The equipment for using zeolite as an adsorbent in the Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) method for oxygen concentrator is presented in this research. Worldwide, oxygen is generally utilized for a variety of chemical reactions as well as medical applications. The need for medicinal oxygen has skyrocketed in all hospitals worldwide during the COVID-19 pandemic. To minimize the amount of processing power needed and make the most use of the adsorbent capacity, the PSA process must operate efficiently. Additional details about the zeolite's role as an adsorption medium to help PSA in the synthesis of oxygen may be found in this paper.

Abstract

Oxygen is used in various chemical processes and medical purposes around the world. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for medical oxygen has increased sharply in all hospitals in the world. In the current work, we designed anoxygen concentrator by using the Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA)technology. Efficient operation of the PSA process is required to utilize the adsorbent capacity as much as possible and reduce the processing power requirements. The effect of feed gas temperature, cycle time, and pressure were investigated.  The research is expected to provide suitable operating conditions to develop a better PSA process using zeolite Na-X.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan kompetensi pengukuran teknik siswa SMK melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Project-Based Learning (PjBL). Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas X TKR 3 di SMKN 10 Malang yang berjumlah 24 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL secara signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata nilai 90, yang termasuk dalam kategori "Sangat Baik". Sebanyak 38% siswa mencapai kategori "Baik", sementara 62% siswa mencapai kategori "Sangat Baik". Peningkatan ini menunjukkan bahwa PjBL merupakan metode yang efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan pengukuran teknik siswa, karena memungkinkan mereka untuk belajar secara aktif melalui proyek yang relevan dengan dunia industri. Selain itu, model ini juga membantu siswa dalam mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21, seperti pemecahan masalah, kreativitas, dan kolaborasi. Dengan demikian, penerapan PjBL dalam pembelajaran pengukuran teknik di SMK dapat menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa dan kesiapan mereka dalam dunia kerja.
