Abstract

Early childhood numeracy skills are the abilities possessed by each children related to simple mathematical concepts, related to the introduction of the concept of a number and number symbols as well as simple addition and subtraction. The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts to develop a number bowling game that can improve the initial arithmetic ability of group A children at PAUD Adrikna Selen Aik, Narmada District in 2021. This type of research is a development research with three stages of development, each of which consists of planning, implementation, observation, and analysis of development. Subject This research is group A children, totaling 10 children. Method collection data using the method of observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of the research on the application of the number bowling game show that the average early arithmetic ability of children increases, namely in the first development 50,8% then development II. 79,1% and development III 93,9%.  The conclusion is that the application of the number bowling game can improve the initial numeracy skills of group A children at PAUD Adrikna Selen Aik Narmada District in 2021.

Abstract

Animated film learning media is an interesting learning media to improve the speaking skills of children aged 4-5 years, learning media which are basically two-dimensional animations that move and learning attracts more students' attention. This study aims to determine the use of animated film learning media for the speaking ability of children aged 4-5 years at YPRU Mataram Kindergarten. This study used a qualitative descriptive study with 13 children as subjects. Data is collected through observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The steps in starting research activities using animated film media are as follows: First, provide media that will be used for learning. Second, make sure the child's position is comfortable when watching. Third, ask children to focus on animated films. Fourth, do question and answer. The results of the study in improving speaking skills, there are 6 indicators used, in the first indicator 2 children are starting to develop (MB), 3 children are developing (B) and 8 children are developing very well (BSB), the second indicator is 2 children are starting to develop (MB), 4 children are developing (B), 7 children are developing very well (BSB), the third indicator is 1 child not yet developing (BB), 4 children are starting to develop, 7 children are developing (B), the fourth indicator is 2 children starting to develop (MB), 6 children developing (B), 5 children developing very well (BSB), the fifth indicator 9 children developing (B), 4 children developing very well (BSB), the sixth indicator 1 child has not developed (BB), 2 children are starting to develop (MB), 4 children are developing (B), 6 children are developing very well (BSB) 3 children are categorized as starting to develop (MB), 4 children are categorized as developing (B), and 6 children are categorized as developing very well (BSB). The conclusion in this study of 13 children, 3 children started to develop (MB), 4 children developed (B) and 6 children developed very well (BSB).

Abstract

The TGT (Teams-Games-Tournament) learning method is a learning model that aims to enhance the development of children's creativity through learning carried out in groups to determine the extent of children's knowledge during learning. This type of research is experimental research with a pre-experimental designs approach (One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design) with a population of 25 children in group B, and a sample of 12 children in TK Negeri Pembina, Janapria District. The data collection tools used were observation and documentation, while the data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis and inferential analysis (normality test and t-test). The results showed that the initial test obtained an average value (mean) of 25.58%, while the final test obtained an average value (mean) of 55.42%. In the data normality test, the initial test value (0.107> 0.05) means that the resulting data is normally distributed and in the final test (0.200> 0.05) it means that the resulting data is normally distributed. Whereas in the t-test the value of sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 which means that it can be concluded that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, meaning that the application of the TGT (Teams-Games-Tournament) learning method influences the development of children's creativity in Pembina State Kindergarten, Janapria District. There is a significant difference between the average value before treatment (pre-test) and the average value after treatment (post-test). The results of this study indicate that the average score on the test increases, so it can be concluded that the application of the TGT method can increase the creativity of children aged 5-6 years.

Abstract

This study aims to produce an appropriate CATEBA picture book media, so that it can be used in learning activities to train the literacy skills of group B children. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model or Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The product developed is CATEBA picture book media (Find, Paste, Read) with play activities to find letters, paste letters, and read which have been assessed and validated by media validators, material validators, and school teachers. The data collection technique used observation, documentation, and validation sheet questionnaires. The research instrument was in the form of a validation questionnaire by experts. The data obtained were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that the CATEBA picture book produced based on the results of the expert's assessment obtained the "very feasible" criteria in all aspects. It can be concluded that the CATEBA picture book is very suitable to be used as a medium in learning activities to train the literacy skills of group B children.

Abstract

This research aims to improve discipline character through habituation methods in early childhood. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects of this research were 9 students from group A. The data collection methods used are observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive. The results of the research show that the habituation method can improve the discipline character of children. The research results after implementing the habituation method carried out by the teacher in cycle 1 obtained a percentage of 55.66%, including the good category, which then increased in cycle II with a percentage of 92% and was categorized as Very good. By increasing the application of the habituation method, the discipline character of group A in cycle 1 received a percentage of 60.56%, including the good category, and increased in cycle II to reach a percentage of 88.35% in the very good category, so that it had reached a success percentage of 85%. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the application of the habituation method can improve the disciplinary character of children in group A of the Tanak Kaken Islamic Kindergarten.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the readiness of learning tools and learning supports in implementing the independent curriculum in PAUD cluster II, Pringgarata District. The type of research used is survey research. The population in this study were all PAUD institutions (KB and TK) in the Pringgarata sub-district totaling 56 institutions, while the sample in this study was 12 institutions with a sampling method using thenonprobability sampling. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire, with data analysis techniques in the form of descriptive quantitative data from the results of the questionnaire sheet. Based on the results of data analysis of the readiness of learning tools and learning supports, which consists of the availability of curriculum for implementing the Independent Curriculum (KOSP), the results were 66%, the availability of teaching modules 100%, and the availability of lesson plans 100%. Readiness to support learning in PAUD cluster II, Pringgarata sub-district already has learning support which includes the availability of school programs to improve good teacher competency with a percentage of 100%. From the results of the average percentage data above, it shows that the readiness of learning tools and learning support for implementing the independent curriculum in PAUD Cluster II, Pringgarata District, it is ready.

Abstract

This research aims to map the competency of PAUD teachers in Selaparang sub-district in 2024. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The population is 109 teachers. The sampling technique is proportionate quota sampling with specifications for educational qualifications, certification and school accreditation. The sample consisted of 72 teachers. Data analysis uses 4 stages of Miles and Huberman model analysis, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and calculating using a presentation formula. The results of research from 72 teachers in the Selaparang sub-district area are 18.06% of teachers' pedagogical competence is in the very good category, 33.33% of their personality competence is in the very good category, 6.94% of their professional competence is in the very good category, and social competence is in their very good category with a very good category of 22.22%. 30.65% of undergraduate PAUD qualifications are in the very good category, 14.2% of non-PG PAUD are in the very good category, 25.00% are certified in the very good category, 33.53% are A accredited schools in the very good category and 33.53% are accredited schools B with a very good category of 19.20%. Pedagogical, personality, professional and social competencies are on average in the good category. For educational qualifications, certification and school accreditation the average is in the good category. Therefore, it is hoped that the competent authorities will provide guidance so that teachers are in the very good category of at least 85%.

Abstract

This research aims to produce educational games that are feasible, practical and effective. The research and development method uses the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires with media experts, material experts and teachers. Data analysis was carried out descriptively, quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of stage I media expert validation showed a percentage of 72.5%, and in stage II it increased to 90%, indicating an increase in the feasibility of the game. Material expert validation in stage I showed a percentage of 96.4%, stage II 92.8%, and stage III 91%, showing consistency in the suitability of the material. The results of the practicality test by the teacher showed a percentage of 75%. Observations of children show an increase in language skills, especially in the aspect of increased language skills and aspects of composing words, from stage I of (71.9) to stage II of (81.5) so it can be said to be very effective for implementation in group B children at PAUD Alif. The educational game Unjumble has proven to be feasible, practical and effective in improving the reading language skills of group B children, especially in the aspect of composing words, becoming a fun and interactive alternative learning media. The implication for this research is to add other media or safety toys to conduct conditions in the classroom when the research is carried out.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an educational Crossword Puzzle game to effectively enhance the cognitive skills of Group B children (5-6 years old) at TK IT Al-Fajar Mataram. Cognitive skills, including language, logic, and problem-solving, are essential for early childhood development. Interactive games like Crossword Puzzles are believed to be an engaging and effective approach to stimulate this development. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. A total of 19 Group B children participated in this study. Research instruments included cognitive skill tests, observation sheets, and feedback questionnaires. The results showed that the educational Crossword Puzzle game was successfully developed and validated by media and material experts. Field trials demonstrated a significant improvement in children's cognitive abilities, particularly in vocabulary recognition, concept comprehension, and simple problem-solving. Children also showed high enthusiasm and interest during gameplay, as reflected in the positive feedback questionnaires. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the educational Crossword Puzzle game is an effective learning tool for improving the cognitive development of Group B children. This game is recommended as a fun and interactive learning activity at TK IT Al-Fajar Mataram and other early childhood education institutions.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective educational match-up game media to enhance the cognitive development of group B children. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE development model. The subjects of this research were 21 group B children. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods. The results of the research showed that the media expert's assessment to determine the feasibility of the match-up game for group B obtained a percentage of 77% to 96%, and the material expert's assessment obtained a percentage of 79% to 100%, categorized as very feasible. The results of the practicality test by the group B teacher obtained a percentage of 95%, categorized as very practical. The results of the product trial at the school on group B children to determine the level of effectiveness obtained a percentage of 100%, categorized as very effective. This media can be an alternative for teachers to provide fun and interactive cognitive stimulation. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the educational match-up game is feasible, practical, and effective in enhancing the cognitive development of group B children at TK Negeri Pembina Mataram in the 2023/2024 academic year.
