Abstract

The textile industry needs an e-commerce platform to facilitate purchase of textile goods and to improve connectivity between industries. The textile industry has distinct characteristics from other industry, from its supply chain characteristics to the details of goods sold. Therefore, Indonesia Smart Textile Industry Hub (ISTIH) as a textile e-commerce platform needs to implement different strategy from e-commerce in general. Different strategies will affect the design of user experience or user experience in e-commerce. This journal will discuss how to design e-commerce specifically for textiles using the five planes method. The strategy plane produced the objectives and user needs of e-commerce, the scope plane produced the list of the required features, the structure plane produced detailed flow of user activities, the skeleton plane produced layout designs and information organization in the form of wireframes, and the surface plane produced the design up to the level of interface detail. The interface detail is also designed to meet eight golden rules of interface design. The output produced in this study is the design of the textile e-commerce interface on the alpha version of the website.

Abstract

Activity based costing process is a process to accurately manage the cost allocation process for aproduct. With the development of technology, the activity-based costing process has been integratedwith the ERP system so that it can relate to all business processes as a whole and can reduce expensesto manage the flow of information systems within the company. It is necessary to determine a fastbusiness process for the allocation of these costs so that a product can be produced. A standardhierarchy is needed which serves as the center of the business process for determining the activitybased costing process. This process is still done manually so that it slows down the businessdetermination process in the activity-based costing process. This research will implement the searchfunction in the ABC system by creating a reporting system that can search business processes in thestandard hierarchy in SAP S/4HANA. This research will use SEEM embed with SDLC method wherethis method pays attention from the perspective of the user and the company to produce an efficientABC process with the company's objectives.

Abstract

Abstract

A dataset with good quality is a valuable asset for a company. The data can be processed into information to help companies improve decision-making. However, the data increased more and more over time to decrease data quality. Thus, good data management is important to keep data quality meeting company standards. One of the efforts that can be done is conducting data cleansing to clean data from errors, inaccuracies, duplication, format discrepancies, etc. Apache Spark is an engine that can analyze large amounts of data. Oracle Database is a database management system used to manage databases. Both have their own reliability and can be used to analyze SQL-shaped data. This study compared Spark and Oracle performance based on query processing time. Both were tested on queries used to perform data cleansing of millions of rows of the dataset. The research focuses on finding out Spark and Oracle's performance through quantitative analysis. The results of this study showed that there were differences in query processing times on both tools. Apache Spark is rated better because it has a relatively faster query processing time than Oracle Database. It can be concluded that Oracle is more reliable in storing complex data models than in analyzing large data. For future research, it is suggested to add other comparison aspects such as memory and CPU usage. The researchers can also consider using query optimization techniques to enrich query experiments.

Abstract

Heart disease is a major global cause of death, particularly among the elderly. Elderly often face challenges in accessing healthcare due to physical and cognitive limitations, making remote health monitoring systems a crucial solution. However, the effectiveness of these systems depends heavily on a good user experience (UX), which is often a challenge for the elderly. This research aims to develop a user-centered design (UCD) method and design a remote patient monitoring prototype that is specifically tailored to the needs of the elderly. The research employed a design science research methodology (DSRM) and included an in-depth literature review, interviews with five elderly patients and two medical professionals, a needs analysis, and the development of the FlowBeat prototype. The developed UCD method consisted of seven phases, and its validity was assessed by six UI/UX experts using the content validity ratio (CVR) and the content validity index (CVI), including item-CVI (I-CVI) and scale-CVI (S-CVI). The results showed that the research users and test the design phases were rated as the most essential (CVR = 1) and relevant (I-CVI = 1). Conversely, the creating a personal manifesto phase scored the lowest (CVR = -0.33). The overall S-CVI score was 0.93, indicating strong content validity for most of the framework. In conclusion, the creating a personal manifesto and evaluate against requirements phases performed poorly, necessitating their removal. Furthermore, further research requires testing the prototype on elderly to ensure successful implementation in the real world.

Abstract

Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) systems generate continuous health data that must be reliably processed at the backend to support timely clinical decision-making. Many real-world RPM deployments rely on synchronous request handling, which can lead to service degradation and request failures under high concurrency. This study designed and evaluated a Control Delay Layer (CDL) as an application-layer mechanism to improve backend request-handling stability in a web-based RPM system. The proposed mechanism decouples data reception from permanent storage through temporary buffering and deferred batch processing while regulating data submission behavior at the service level. System behavior before and after CDL implementation was examined using controlled load testing under identical scenarios. The evaluation employed service-level performance metrics, including request failure rate, response time distribution, and computational resource utilization. Experimental results show that the baseline monolithic system experienced an average request failure rate of approximately 14% under peak load, whereas no request failures were observed after CDL implementation. The CDL enabled system maintained consistent response-time behavior and stable resource utilization at higher concurrency levels. These findings demonstrate that backend-level request-handling control can effectively enhance system stability under high load conditions without requiring device-level modifications, providing a complementary approach for scalable and resilient digital health systems.

Abstract

Software maintenance resolves issues in development, including web applications. The web application can be split into front-end and back-end perspectives. Performance improvements can be achieved through back-end maintenance. Web applications with MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture are maintained via code adjustment in the controllers. This research focuses on maintaining the back-end side of the Desk Evaluation, a web application for the university's final project management. The Collaboration Model of Software Development is the method used in this research. The controllers of the Desk Evaluation application that have been maintained are tested using unit and load testing. Unit testing shows that controllers give a proper response. Load testing indicates a 98% success rate and under 30 seconds average load time for all controllers. Then, the code in the controllers is analyzed with SonarQube, earning an A rating for reliability, signifying rule compliance, and minimizing bugs.
