Abstract

This research aims to describe Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono personal branding by Detik.com. This research used qualitative approach. Framing analysis did by using of Pan and Kosicki analysis model. There are 4 structure analysis in the Pan and Kosicki framing analysis, such as thematic, scripts, semantic and rhetorical. The results showed that framing the news that conducted by Detik.com to Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono was well done. Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono imaged as a figure who was very caring with progress, prosperity and peacefull in Jakarta.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui representasi pelecehan seksual yang ada di series KZL episode 7 - 8. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang mana pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tiga cara yaitu: observasi yang dilakukan dengan menonton serta mengamati series KZL episode 7-8 untuk memahami isi dari series KZL, dokumentasi dengan memotong beberapa gambar adegan series yang mewakili representasi pelecehan seksual, studi kepustakaan yaitu mengumpulkan skripsi atau jurnal terdahulu, website, internet, buku yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Kemudian data diolah dengan analisis tekstual milik Alan Mckee. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa representasi pelecehan seksual terlihat bahwa series KZL VIU Original episode 7-8 merepresentasikan pelecehan seksual yang dialami oleh para perempuan di kehidupan sehari-hari. Bentuk pelecehan yang umum ditemui yaitu catcalling yang mengarah pada pelecehan fisik. Catcalling datang dalam berbagai bentuk seperti nasihat, pujian hingga menggoda korban secara terang-terangan.

Abstract

Penggunaan gadget dan aplikasi media sosial kini membuat pengguna betah dalam menggunakan aplikasi dan cenderung memiliki perilaku Phubbing terhadap lingkungannya. Hal ini membawa suatu dampak yang negatif bagi remaja atau pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana sosial media dan aplikasi Tiktok ini mempengaruhi mahasiswa untuk terus bertahan dengan penggunaan dalam jangka waktu yang lama sehingga menyebabkan terjadinya Phubbing. Model penelitian Kuantitatif Deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik pengambil sampel purposive sampling digunakan pada penelitian ini, sedangkan teknik analisa data mempergunakan validitas, regresi, dan uji asumsi klasik. Populasi studi ini ialah mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (Umsida) dengan sampel 90 orang. Temuan penelitian adalah intensitas penggunaan Tiktok dan Instagram berpengaruh pada perilaku Phubbing mahasiswa Umsida. Dari kedua variabel penelitian, pengaruh paling besar ditimbulkan oleh penggunaan Tiktok, sebesar 70,3% sedangkan varibel penggunaan sosial media mendapatkan hasil 32%.

Abstract

Budaya merupakan salah satu komponen perilaku manusia dan teknologi, menurut O’Brien dalam (Setiawan, 2013) Musik telah menjadi budaya dan bagian hidup dari masyarakat Indonesia namun adanya pandemi Covid-19 menghambat seluruh aktivitas masyarakat tidak terkecuali dunia musik. Banyak gelaran musik yang telah dipersiapkan berbulan-bulan jauhnya dan selalu ada setiap tahun terpaksa dibatalkan, namun dengan adanya perkembangan teknologi perubahan ruang kreativitas musisi Indonesia pun berubah. Dengan memanfaatkan berbagai media online seperti Instagram, Youtube, dan situs web, Pamungkas sukses dengan album barunya “Solipsism 0.2”. Pamungkas berhasil menarik lebih dari satu juta penonton dari konser musik daringnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa peran new media terhadap gelaran konser musik dalam era pandemi Covid-19 dan bagaimana peran new media dalam mengatasi gelaran konser musik online dengan studi kasus “Pamungkas : The Solipsism 0.2” sehingga kami berharap dengan adanya penelitian ini dapat memberikan gambaran bagaimana perkembangan media baru dan teknologi komunikasi dalam perkembangan musik di Indonesia. Penulis melakukan analisa kualitatif deskriptif dengan mengumpulkan data dan informasi sekunder melalui kajian pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media baru memiliki peranan yang penting dalam gelaran konser musik terutama pada masa pandemi Covid-19 seperti saat ini karena keterbatasan yang ada. Kesimpulan yang kami hasilkan yaitu media baru dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media utama yang dapat efisiensi dalam berkomunikasi.   Culture is one component of human behavior and technology, according to O'Brien in (Setiawan, 2013) Music has become a culture and part of life for Indonesian people, but the Covid-19 pandemic has hampered all community activities, including the music world. Many musical events that have been prepared for months and always take place every year have had to be canceled, but with the development of technology, the creative space of Indonesian musicians has changed. By utilizing various online media such as Instagram, Youtube, and websites, Pamungkas was successful with his new album “Solipsism 0.2”. Pamungkas managed to attract more than one million viewers from its online music concerts. This study aims to find out what the role of new media in music concerts in the Covid-19 pandemic era and how the role of new media in overcoming online music concerts with the case study "The Ultimate: The Solipsism 0.2" so we hope that this research can provide an overview. how the development of new media and communication technology in the development of music in Indonesia. The author conducted a descriptive qualitative analysis by collecting secondary data and information through a literature review. The results of the study show that new media have an important role in holding music concerts, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic as it is today because of existing limitations. Our conclusion is that new media can be used as the main media for efficient communication.

Abstract

The Sidoarjo Deaf Action Community has a vision to introduce Deaf culture and sign language widely in society. The word "Deaf" was chosen because it more presented themselves. In the communication process within the community, deaf members often experience conflicts that have various impacts on the progress of the community. Therefore, good communication management is needed juxtaposed with the application of conflict resolution type management techniques. The type and basis of this research is descriptive qualitative, with the technique of determining the informants using purposive sampling. The result of this research is that the communication process of the AKTU community tends to be informal although in some cases it is also applied formally. Conflicts that occur related to the inactivity of members and the presence of a wrong connection can have a functional or dysfunctional impact. Community communication management helps a lot in resolving internal conflicts, and the AKTU community applies 8 of 9 resolution techniques.

Abstract

The millennial generation is hotly discussed among us. My Generation film tries to tell the story of how life is, how the figure of the millennial generation is actually, by carrying the four main characters Zeke, Suki, Orly and Konji. Because all this time we know that the millennial generation is a technology literate generation. Therefore, this study aims to find out how the millennial generation characters in the film My generation are. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods, and the analytical technique used in this study is Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotics. The results of the analysis show that the representation of the millennial generation in the film My Generation, is a generation that has different characters from the previous generation, they are more daring to voice what they feel, what they think, dare to try new things and do not hesitate to see things from their point of view.

Abstract

There are phenomena and cases of body shaming actions that occur in Indonesia in everyday life, especially for women who often experience it and become victims of body shaming. Some people regard this act as just a common joke. However, the act of body shaming is an action that can affect a person's mental and psychic. The film Imperfect is the best film in 2019 which presents a story about the body shaming act experienced by a woman. This study aims to identify and describe John Fiske's semiotic analysis of body shaming in the film Imperfect. This research method uses qualitative descriptive analysis with John Fiske's semiotic analysis, namely the level of reality, representation and ideology. The results of this study indicate the form of body shaming in the film Imperfect, from the level of reality, namely in appearance, in terms of behavior, dialogue, and make-up of players. The reality here is that there is an assessment of beauty standards against women and jealousy and envy of Rara. At the level of representation, taking pictures of the object as a whole. The ideological level in the film Imperfect is patriarchal culture.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the use of the Instagram feature as a promotional medium is applied to a Indah Bordir shop in Sidoarjo. This research is based on an event that occurred and the fact that during the current COVID-19 pandemic, business actors experienced a very drastic decline in sales, this was due to the lack of visitors, the amount of competition, and the high cost of promotions incurred when using paid promotional media such as advertisements on television, print media or even on radio.This research method uses qualitative methods, data collection is obtained from observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that, there are 12 features that are used as promotional media namely, Profile, Feed, Follow, Uploading Photos or Videos, Captions, Comments, Hashtags, Highlight Stories, Snapgrams, Live Broadcasts, Direct Messages, and Geotagging. While the other 5 are not used as promotional media namely, Home Page, Like, Explore, Story Archives, and Instagram Savepost.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menjelaskan manajemen komplain yang dilakukan oleh divisi Humas di PT Mubina Fifa Mandiri cabang Sidoarjo pada tahun 2019. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Teknik Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data menurut Miles dan Huberman  yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil  penelitian yaitu PT Mubina Fifa Mandiri Sidoarjo dalam menyelesaikan keluhan jemaahnya telah menerapkan 4 aspek penanganan complain menurut Tjiptono dengan baik. Selain itu, PT Mubina Fifa Mandiri Sidoarjo juga telah melaksanakan langkah-langkah efektif untuk menangani keluhan yaitu mengucapkan terima kasih, menjelaskan betapa kita menghargai keluhannya, meminta maaf untuk kesalahan yang kita perbuat, berjanji untuk melakukan sesuatu terhadap keluhan / masalah tersebut secepatnya, menanyakan mengenai informasi yang diperlukan, mengoreksi kepuasan pelanggan, memeriksa kepuasan pelanggan, mencegah kesalahan yang akan datang.

Abstract

Podcast is one of the results of radio development in the new media era. With te presence of podcasts in today`s increasingly sophisticated technological era, there are many positive impacts, one of which is helping students to be more creative in the audio visual field. This study uses the theory of social cognition about te self as a place where all communication messages can be centralized and easy to channel using internet technology and involve the audience to improve the process of interaction and communication. The purpose of this study is to measure ow much students use podcasts as content creators in self-development. This study uses a quantitative method of observation with data collection tecniques trough questionnaires. This method is used as a reference material to collect information and observations of a subject.  50% of respondns answered agree, 10% of respondents chose strongly agree, but 30% of respondents did not show interests. 5% of respondents` answers expressed doubts about the use of podcasts for sudents in improving interpersonal communication and 5% of respondents` anwers stated that they strongly disagreed with podcast media supporting podcasts as communicative media.
