Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine gender differences in writing ability initially using salt tray learning media in group A. Type of research used is pre-experimental research with the design design of one pre-test post-test group, which is an experiment carried out in one group without a comparison group. The results of the study there were significant differences, obtained a value of 0.000 < 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a gender difference between women who are more dominant than men in the ability to write initially using salt tray learning media in early childhood.Keywords: salt tray; writing competence; gender perspective; early childhood Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan gender pada kemampuan menulis awalnya menggunakan media pembelajaran baki garam pada anak usia dini.  Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pra-eksperimen dengan desain satu kelompok post-test pre-test, yaitu eksperimen yang dilakukan dalam satu kelompok saja tanpa adanya kelompok pembanding.  Hasil penelitian terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan, diperoleh nilai 0,000 < 0,05. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan gender antara perempuan yang lebih dominan dibandingkan laki-laki dalam kemampuan menulis pada awalnya menggunakan media pembelajaran baki garam pada anak usia dini.Kata Kunci: kompetensi menulis; jenis kelamin; salt-tray

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significant positive relationship between classroom management and the learning activities of fourth grade students at MI El-Syifa Ciganjur. This type of research is descriptive correlational ex post facto (measurements before the incident). The population in this study was all students of class IV MI El-Syifa Ciganjur as many as 100 students with the research sample using a saturated sample. The data collection technique in this study used a Likert scale questionnaire on classroom management and student learning activities. The data analysis technique used is the product moment correlation technique, to determine the relationship and the coefficient of determination and to determine the contribution of class management variables to students' learning activity variables. The results of the research that have been obtained indicate that there is a significant positive relationship between classroom management and the learning activities of fourth grade students at MI El-Syifa Ciganjur with a correlation value (rxy) of 0.609 with the level of the relationship in the strong category. The result of the coefficient of determination in this study is 0.37, which means the contribution of the class management variable is 37% to the active learning of students.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe the characteristics of child-friendly schools at SD Al Zahra Indonesia to prevent violence. With a qualitative approach with an observation method by the instruments that have been prepared. From several indicators, it can be concluded that has qualified as a child-friendly school, although it has not been officially launched. It is hoped that the fulfilment of these indicators will reduce the impact of violence on children in schools. The development of child-friendly schools can be applied to all levels of education, especially in basic education.

Abstract

Many aspects of life need reading activities. Reading to understand the meaning of words called reading comprehension. This study is using descriptive analysis to determine how the implementation of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) to promote reading comprehension. The aspects in reading comprehension are: a) the ability to grasp the meaning of words and phrases used by the author, b) the ability to grasp the meaning of explicit and implicit meaning, c) the ability to make inferences. Steps in the CIRC are: a) forming a group with four to five students are heterogeneous, b) the teacher gives an explaining in accompliance with the learning topics, c) students work together,  reading and find the main idea and give a response to the discourse and written on a sheet of paper, d) presented the results of the group, e) the teacher makes a conclusion with his students, f) ending the class. Implementation CIRC in reading comprehension are already visible in measures of activities so that learning objectives can be achieved and reading comprehension can also be developed. Implementation CIRC in reading comprehension can be used by further research using distinct methodologies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the existence of a positive and significant relationship between school well-being and achievement motivation of fifth grade primary school students. This type of research is correlational quantitative with Likert scale data collection techniques, thats the school well-being scale of 19 items and the achievement motivation scale of 22 items. The population in this study were 2427 students of fifth grade public elementary school. The research sample used simple random sampling with a total of 336 students. The data analysis technique uses Rank Spearman correlation with the calculation of r equal to 0.418 which indicates that the relationship between school well being variable and achievement motivation is in the sufficient category. Then the results also obtained thit > ttabel that 8.58 > 1.967. Based on the results of the study, it shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between school well-being and the achievement motivation of fifth grade primary school students. This research can be more optimal if researchers can direct observations to schools after the pandemic period ends and this research can be followed up by further research by observing aspects outside of school well-being and achievement motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes, and to determine how much the level of critical thinking skills affects thematic learning outcomes. In this study using descriptive correlational method. The tools used to collect data were a Likert scale for critical thinking skills variables, and midterm exam results documents for learning outcomes variables. The sample used was a saturated sample, namely the entire population of 83 grade 5 students. The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between critical thinking skills and learning outcomes, social studies, and civics. The coefficient of determination in this study was 6.4% for the relationship between critical thinking skills and Indonesian language learning outcomes, then for the relationship between critical thinking skills and social studies learning outcomes of 9.2%, and 6.7% on Civics learning outcomes. The influence of critical thinking skills on Indonesian language learning outcomes was 6.4%, social studies learning outcomes were 9.2% and civics learning outcomes were 6.7%, the rest were influenced by factors that were not thorough in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the correlation between the behavior of "toxic parents" and the self-esteem of elementary school students. The research adopts a quantitative approach with a correlation method and involves a total of 90 respondents, comprising 9 fathers, 81 mothers, 52 male students, and 38 female students, selected using a quota sampling technique. Data collection is carried out through carefully designed questionnaires, and hypothesis testing is conducted using product-moment correlation analysis. The study's results reveal a correlation value (r) of -0.484, surpassing the critical value (r table) of 0.207, with a significance level (p) of 0.000, which is lower than 0.05. Additionally, the coefficient of determination at 23.42% signifies a substantial influence of "toxic parents" behavior on the self-esteem of students. These findings unequivocally confirm a significant negative relationship between "toxic parent" behavior and students' self-esteem. The implication is a pressing need for fostering positive and supportive parenting approaches as a potential avenue for positively impacting the self-esteem development of elementary school students.

Abstract

Melalui cerita, anak-anak dapat belajar mengkomunikasikan diri dengan lebih baik, mengembangkan keterampilan kognitif dan sosial, serta menstimulasi imajinasi mereka. Oleh karena itu, implementasi metode bercerita harus diutamakan sebagai sarana pembelajaran dalam pendidikan anak sejak usia dini dan harus dioptimalkan untuk memastikan perkembangan bahasa anak yang optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan untuk mengumpulkan data dari berbagai sumber tertulis yang relevan, seperti buku, artikel, dan jurnal. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi keterkaitan antara penggunaan metode bercerita dengan peningkatan kemampuan berbahasa anak usia dini. Berdasarkan hasil studi, disimpulkan bahwa metode bercerita memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kemampuan anak dalam mendengarkan, berbicara, dan memahami bahasa. Bercerita juga memberi anak kesempatan untuk mengasah penggunaan bahasa dalam situasi yang memiliki makna, mendukung perkembangan kognitif dan sosial anak-anak. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan cerita sebagai alat pembelajaran dalam PAUD harus diutamakan dan dioptimalkan. Kerjasama antara guru dan orang tua menjadi sangat penting untuk membangun fondasi yang kuat untuk kemajuan bahasa anak. Dengan memberikan stimulasi bahasa yang tepat, baik melalui cerita, pembicaraan, atau kegiatan lainnya, anak-anak dapat mengembangkan keterampilan bahasa mereka secara lebih efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dimulai dengan menemukan bahwa siswa TK Islam Asshafa, khususnya anak-anak berusia empat hingga lima tahun, memiliki kemampuan yang kurang baik dan lemah untuk mengenal berbagai huruf. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan anak-anak tersebut dalam mengenal huruf dengan menggunakan media papan pintar selama proses pembelajaran. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan dokumentasi. Untuk penelitian tindakan kelas, teknik pengumpulan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif sama pentingnya seperti untuk penelitian formal.   Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media papan pintar huruf dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal huruf anak. Pada siklus I, 4 siswa mendapatkan katogeri yang sangat baik, dengan persentase 23,52 %, dan pada siklus II, 14 siswa mendapatkan katogeri yang sangat baik, dengan persentase 82,35%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media papan pintar huruf dapat meningkatkan minat dan antusiasme anak dalam pembelajaran mengenal huruf.

Abstract

The increase in positive cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia has caused panic and fear among the people. Some people are already obedient to follow the health protocol from the government. However, there are still many people who turn a blind eye to the impact of this Covid-19. The holding of the Syarif Hidayatullah UIN KKN-DR, aims to enable students to help the community in raising awareness of the importance of maintaining health and cleanliness during the Covid-19 pandemic. The community needs maximum outreach about Covid-19. This led to a plan and determination to conduct outreach to the community on a regular basis. In view of Indonesia's condition which makes it impossible to hold gatherings, this outreach is carried out online by utilizing infographic media which are arranged briefly and clearly, which will later be distributed via social media. The method of activities carried out in this service program includes the preparation/socialization stage, the infographic distribution stage, and the evaluation stage. The social media used in distributing infographics is Instagram. Instagram is Dissemination carried out regularly, weekly in August and September 2021. The end result of this activity is the large number of netizens who view the infographics shared on social media. The purpose of holding this activity is so that people can increase awareness of the dangers or impacts of the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
