Abstract

Post-harvest loss is a risk that can be faced by almost all agricultural commodities, including edamame. Post-harvest loss can be a potential loss for farming. This study aims to identify the risk of edamame post-harvest loss at PT. Mitra Tani Dua Tujuh Jember, as well as formulating its control strategy. This study uses the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis method to analyze the risk of post-harvest loss, integrated with the fishbone diagram to identify the risk causes. To formulate a risk control strategy used the Analytical Hierarchy Process method, which refers to the Pugh method to determine the strategic concept. The results showed that the most critical risks that need serious attention in edamame production are the emergence of pests and diseases. Pests and diseases that attack edamame plants have a high impact severity. Pests and diseases quite often attack edamame plants, and their presence is difficult to detect. The appropriate strategy for controlling pests and diseases in edamame is vegetable pesticides. The use of vegetable pesticides is easier, more efficient, cheaper, more effective, and easier to obtain than chemical pesticides. Abstract

The industry that has the potential to be developed and produce export-worthy products in Banyuwangi district is the coconut sugar processing industry. This industry is generally managed by craftsmen scattered in various remote rural areas. The partner of this activity is a group of coconut palm sugar craftsmen in the hamlet of Gumuk Agung, Gintangan village, Blimbingsari sub-district. Coconut sugar products produced by the Sari Manggar craftsman group are less able to develop as expected, the sugar produced is of low quality, the mold is not uniform and the marketing is local so that the welfare of the coconut farmers / craftsmen does not change much and their contribution to regional income is also low. The purpose of this activity is to improve the quality of coconut sugar through mold design and marketing of coconut sugar. Therefore, it is necessary to find a solution to engineer the mold design and improve promotion and marketing. The methods used in this activity are: 1) Observation; 2) Interview; 3)Training; 4) Sugar processing demonstration; and 5) Assistance in online promotion and marketing. The results of the activity show that the implementation of service can be carried out 100%, coconut sugar craftsmen Sari Manggar can produce coconut sugar in a cylindrical shape that weighs 100g/piece and is in a half ball shape, and coconut sugar craftsmen can do promotion and marketing online. Abstract

Fermentation is one of the processes in tobacco processing which will be used as raw material for cigars. One of the main aspects that must be considered to achieve successful fermentation is the temperature and humidity of the fermentation room, namely 60-80% RH and 27-32 °C. KOPA Tarutama Nusantara (TTN) Jember is a Under Shade Tobacco processing unit with manual monitoring of temperature and humidity using a hygrometer which causes workers to experience fatigue and delays in taking action if the temperature and humidity are not up to standard. Based on these problems, an IoT (Internet of Things)-based temperature and humidity monitoring tool is needed. The research was carried out by assembling tools using Arduino Ide, DHT 11 Sensor, 2 Channel Relay, LM2596 and programmed with Arduino Ide software. Based on the functionality validation test, this tool can be said to function properly because the X value is 1. The efficiency value is declared very efficient with a value 6.9% and the effectiveness value is declared very effective because the effectiveness value increases from 17 to 22. The implementation of this tools in the fermentation room also increases the effectiveness of tobacco quality with a value of 112.9%.

Abstract

PT. Perkebunan Nusantara XII Kebun silosanen is one of the state-owned companies in Jember Regency which is engaged in the processing of robusta coffee (green bean). The problem is the mismatch between the company's plan and the seasonally variable market demand, which affects the inventory that must be held, which results in situations like stockouts and overstocks and drives up storage costs. The purpose of this study is to evaluate using two methods, namely fuzzy Tsukamoto and Mamdani. Then determine the best method using mape values and make a company production plan using 3 input variables, namely the amount of demand, inventory and quality realization. The results showed that Tsukamoto's fuzzy method was chosen as an alternative method to be used in the production plan for the next period. The MAPE value obtained is "good" because it is between 10-20%, which is 11.9%. The simulation results of Tsukamoto's fuzzy model for the production plan were carried out using the DES Brown forecasting method (supply, demand) and the SES method (quality realization). The data from the production plan using Tsukamoto fuzzy for July 2021 – December 2021 are 55,945 kg, 35,614 kg, 52,501 kg, 57,097 kg, 60,477 kg, and 61,545 kg, respectively
