Abstract

Background: Gender, financial literacy, and the love of money are pivotal factors influencing the motivation and personal financial management strategies of individuals engaged in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Understanding how these variables interplay can provide valuable insights into enhancing financial decision-making within this crucial economic sector. This study aims to examine the relationship of gender, financial literacy, love of money, motivation and personal financial management of MSME Actors. Method: The empirical analysis was conducted using a sample of 150 MSME actors. This study used online survey for the data collection. After passing reliability and validity tests, the data were analyzed with partial least squares structural equation modeling. Results: The research results indicate that gender has a significant positive direct influence on motivation. Financial literacy also has a significant direct positive influence on motivation. Furthermore, the love of money has a significant positive direct influence on motivation. Finally, motivation also has a significant positive influence on financial management. Conclusion: In conclusion, this study highlights the intricate relationship between gender, financial literacy, the love of money, motivation, and personal financial management among MSME actors. The findings underscore the importance of addressing gender-specific factors and promoting financial literacy to enhance motivation and improve financial decision-making within the MSME sector. Moreover, recognizing the nuanced influence of attitudes towards money can further inform strategies to empower and support individuals engaged in these enterprises, ultimately contributing to their long-term financial success.

Abstract

The role of distribution channels and social media marketing activities is crucial in boosting the marketing performance of SMEs (small and medium enterprises). By integrating efficient distribution channels and robust social media marketing strategies, SMEs can expand their market reach, strengthen their brand image, and increase marketing effectiveness and sales volume. Through the proper use of distribution channels and effective utilization of social media, SMEs can foster closer relationships with their consumers, enhance customer loyalty, and sustainably expand their market share. Thus, a balanced combination of distribution channels and social media marketing is key to the success of SMEs in enhancing competitiveness and growth in this digital era. This study aims to examine the role of distribution channels and social media marketing activities in improving the marketing performance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The sample used in this study consisted of 100 SMEs. The method of analysis used to test the hypotheses in this study was multiple linear regression. This research yields important information that, partially, distribution channels and social media marketing activities have proven to play a significant role in enhancing the marketing performance of SMEs.

Abstract

  Abstract. This study aims to determine the role of e-performance and digital leadership in enhancing self-motivation and employee performance in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in North Luwu. The study employs a quantitative approach targeting all employees involved in MSMEs in North Luwu as the research population. Empirical analysis was conducted using a sample of 309 millennials. Data collection was carried out through an online survey. After passing reliability and validity tests, the data were analyzed using a structural equation model based on partial least squares (PLS-SEM). The research results indicate that e-performance has a significant and positive direct impact on employee performance (0.001 < 0.005) and self-motivation (0.000 < 0.05). Similarly, digital leadership shows a significant and positive direct effect on employee performance (0.002 < 0.05) and self-motivation (0.000 < 0.05). Interestingly, however, self-motivation does not have a positive direct impact on employee performance (0.127 > 0.05), thus rejecting one of the five hypotheses proposed in this study. This research can contribute to managers and employees of MSMEs regarding the importance of implementing an effective e-performance system and digital leadership to improve MSME employee performance and motivation. Managers must ensure that the e-performance system provides constructive feedback and focuses on key elements such as accessibility and accuracy. Furthermore, digital leadership needs to support the development of technological skills and an innovation-driven culture. The findings of this study can also provide empirical support for the theory of planned behavior, thus providing a more comprehensive model of the relationship between e-performance, digital leadership, self-motivation, and employee performance.  Keywords:  E peformance, digital leadership, self-motivation, employee performance, and MSMEs Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan peran e-performance dan kepemimpinan digital dalam meningkatkan motivasi diri dan kinerja karyawan pada Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Luwu Utara. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan sasaran seluruh karyawan yang terlibat dalam UMKM di Luwu Utara sebagai populasi penelitian. Analisis empiris dilakukan dengan menggunakan sampel sebanyak 309 generasi milenial. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui survei online. Setelah data lolos uji reliabilitas dan validitas, data dianalisis dengan model persamaan struktural berbasis partial least squares (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-performance berpengaruh signifikan dan positif secara langsung terhadap kinerja karyawan (0.001 < 0.005) dan motivasi diri (0.000 < 0.05). Demikian pula, kepemimpinan digital menunjukkan efek signifikan dan positif secara langsung terhadap kinerja karyawan (0.002 < 0.05) dan motivasi diri (0.000 < 0.05). Namun, menariknya, motivasi diri tidak berpengaruh positif secara langsung terhadap kinerja karyawan (0.127 > 0.05), sehingga menolak salah satu dari lima hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi manajer dan karyawan UMKM mengenai pentingnya penerapan sistem e-performance yang efektif dan kepemimpinan digital untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan motivasi karyawan UMKM. Manajer harus memastikan bahwa sistem e-performance memberikan umpan balik konstruktif dan fokus pada elemen-elemen kunci seperti aksesibilitas dan akurasi. Selain itu, kepemimpinan digital perlu mendukung pengembangan keterampilan teknologi dan budaya inovasi. Temuan penelitian ini juga dapat memberikan dukungan empiris untuk teori perilaku terencana, sehingga menyediakan model yang lebih komprehensif tentang hubungan antara e-performance, kepemimpinan digital, motivasi diri, dan kinerja karyawan. Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the effect of compensation justice and work motivation on improving employee performance in the Perumda Air Minum Tirta Latimojong (PAMTL) Luwu Regency. Methodology/approach: This study was conducted using a survey method with employees at Perumda Air Minum Tirta Latimojong (PAMTL) Luwu Regency and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The sample in this study was taken from 102 people to facilitate the research. Result: The results of this study indicate that compensation justice has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and compensation justice and work motivation simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Limitations: This study was limited to the Perumda Air Minum Tirta Latimojong in Luwu Regency, with a sample of 102 employees. In the research process, the researcher realized that there were respondents who answered not in accordance with the existing reality. Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of sustainable leadership within BULOG and its alignment with green business practices. Employing a qualitative method of descriptive analysis, the research follows a three-step procedure for data analysis, which encompasses data reduction, data display, and conclusion derivation. Triangulation, a method involving the examination of data using different approaches from the same source, is adopted to ensure data credibility. The findings indicate that sustainable leadership plays a pivotal role in bolstering green business initiatives within BULOG's Palopo Branch. Additionally, the results highlight that sustainability considerations are seamlessly integrated into the company's operational framework, fostering an environment conducive to a green economy

Abstract

More and more users and business owners are gravitating toward short films. Short videos are now more engaging and entertaining due to more interactive engagements and the development of artificial intelligence technology like facial recognition. Short video marketing communications emerged due to the rapid growth of short videos. Social media usage is one kind of short video marketing communication. Short videos can now be uploaded to social media platforms for communication. TikTok is one of those social media sites. To sell its app, TikTok uses short movies that, thanks to an algorithm, quickly become viral hits. This study aims to identify Social Media Algorithms and Short Videos as Effective Communication Media in Tourism Marketing. Descriptive techniques are used in this study's qualitative methodology. The findings of the study demonstrate how social platforms like TikTok, which use algorithms based on user preferences and short films uploaded to social media, have changed how prospective tourists learn about places to visit the use of brief videos through social media platforms as marketing communications influences tourists' perceptions of destination image and tourist intentions, with interactive marketing playing a more significant role. This study investigates empirically the influence of usage on perceptions of destination image and tourism intentions. Regarding the effect of visitor intention, the influence of tourist attractions and accommodations is greater than that of short video marketing on image perception.

Abstract

Peran gender dalam aktivitas kewirausahaan merupakan masalah yang kompleks dan multifaset. Rendahnya keterwakilan perempuan dalam kewirausahaan merupakan masalah kompleks yang dibentuk oleh berbagai faktor. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini akan membutuhkan pendekatan komprehensif. Urgensi penelitan ini didasarkan pada identifikasi permasalahan, bahwa kewirausahaan sebagian besar dilakukan oleh laki-laki, untuk laki-laki dan tentang laki-laki. Hal ini menghasilkan wacana kewirausahaan maskulin, di mana laki-laki diprioritaskan sebagai fokus alami dari praktik normatif dan perempuan diposisikan sebagai subordinat laki-laki dalam konteks usaha kewirausahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi keputusan gender memulai bisnis Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM). Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis media menggunakan langkah-langkah coding konten dengan bantuan software NVivo sebagai alat analisisnya. Adapun jumlah informan yang digunakan yaitu sebanyak 40. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui waancara mendalam / focus group discussion dengan 40 informan awal dapat dipeoleh hasil analisis dapat diperoleh informasi penting bahwa keputusan gender dalam memulai bisnis UMKM yaitu tantangan, kesetaraan, dukungan, jaringan dan modal. Informasi temuan berikutnya bahwa gender telah memainkan peranan penting dalam pertumbuhan aktivitas bisnis UMKM di Kabupaten Luwu Utara. Saat ini pelaku bisnis UMKM perempuan khusunya yang bergerak pada skala mikro dan kecil mengalami pertumbuhan, meskipun tingkat pertumbuhannya tidak melampaui pelaku bisnis jenis kelamin laki – laki.

Abstract

MSMEs with inflation, access to capital and good entrepreneurship training tend to be able to improve MSME performance effectively. This study aims to examine the effect of inflation, access to capital, and business training on MSME employee productivity in the context of the economic crisis in Palopo City. The population of this study consisted of all MSME actors in Palopo City totaling 50 people, and all members of the population were sampled. This study uses a quantitative approach with primary data collected through online questionnaire distribution. Data analysis techniques include instrument testing, multiple linear regression testing, and hypothesis testing analyzed using the SPSS 25 application. The results of the t-test show that inflation, access to capital, and entrepreneurship training have a positive and significant effect on MSME performance. Meanwhile, the f-test shows that simultaneously, inflation, access to capital and entrepreneurship training have a positive and significant effect on MSME performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of digital competence, digital leadership, digital culture, and religiosity on individual creativity and performance of lecturers at Muhammadiyah University of Palopo. Digital competence, digital leadership, digital culture, and religiosity are expected to influence lecturers' creativity in developing teaching materials and their performance in teaching and interacting with students. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach, using questionnaires distributed to lecturers at Muhammadiyah University of Palopo. The results of the study indicate that digital competence has a significant positive impact on lecturers' creativity and performance. Digital leadership and digital culture also have a positive effect on creativity, while religiosity does not show a significant effect on lecturers' performance. This study contributes to the understanding of the factors that influence lecturers' creativity and performance in the digital era.

Abstract

As one of the main benchmarks, economic growth does not only focus on production figures alone, but must also be seen in the context of equitable distribution of development results. The high Open Unemployment, the low Labor Force Participation, and the low Human Development Index in South Sulawesi are issues that need further research. This study aims to analyze the effect of Open Unemployment, Labor Force Participation, and Human Development Index on economic growth in South Sulawesi. This research uses quantitative methods with panel data covering 24 districts/cities in South Sulawesi during the period 2010-2023. Data were obtained from various official sources such as the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of South Sulawesi Province, the Manpower Office, and other relevant government agencies. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression. The results showed that the Open Unemployment had no significant effect on economic growth. Similarly, the Labor Force Participation did not show a significant effect. However, the Human Development Index has a significant effect on economic growth. Simultaneously, these three variables have a significant effect on economic growth with an Adjusted R Square value of 0.979. The results of this study emphasize the importance of improving the quality of the workforce, reducing the unemployment, and investing in the education and health sectors to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth.Keywords: Open Unemployment, Labor Force Participation, Human Development Index, Economic Growth.
