Abstract

The development of empathy character in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students plays a crucial role in shaping a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent but also socially sensitive. This study aims to explore effective learning strategies to instill empathy in students. The method employed is a literature review by analyzing various sources related to Islamic value-based learning strategies. The findings indicate that strategies such as project-based learning, simulations, reflective discussions, story-based learning, collaborative activities, and social actions effectively foster empathy. These strategies provide profound emotional and social experiences while aligning with Islamic teachings. For example, storytelling about prophets and charity activities effectively instill empathy through direct and contextual experiences. In conclusion, fostering empathy requires a holistic approach integrating practical experiences with Islamic values. Educators are advised to receive training on implementing these strategies, while parents should model empathetic behavior at home. Future research is recommended to empirically evaluate the effectiveness of these strategies in various educational settings.

Abstract

The digital era brings challenges as well as opportunities for Wustho students in managing self-regulation, especially in the use of technology and digital media. This study aims to analyze the optimization strategy of self-regulation of Wustho students in facing the digital era, focusing on aspects of time management, self-control, and technology adaptation. A qualitative approach is used in this study, involving observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The results of the study show that student self-regulation can be improved through the integration of education-based technology, digital discipline habituation, and independence training programs. This strategy not only helps students in managing their daily activities but also supports the achievement of learning goals more effectively. The implications of this study provide practical guidance for Islamic educational institutions to prepare students to become independent and adaptive individuals in the era of digital transformation. The findings of this study are that strengthening spiritual-based intrinsic motivation can be an effective strategy to build self-regulation among students. This approach offers uniqueness, namely connecting religious values with self-management skills in the digital era, thus providing a strong moral foundation for students in using technology wisely. The implications of this study highlight the need for pesantren policies that are more adaptive to digital developments, while still maintaining Islamic identity as a core value in pesantren education.

Abstract

Kesehatan mental anak merupakan dasar penting bagi perkembangan anak, namun, muncul tantangan terhadap kesehatan mental anak yang semakin kompleks pada era digital saat ini, Untuk membantu mengatasi anak dalam mengelola kesehatan mental mereka, salah satunya yaitu melalui penggunaan strategi pembelajaran mindfulness. Mindfulness merupakan konsep yang mengajarkan kesadaran penuh dan penerimaan kepada seseorang untuk membantu mengelola stress, meningkatkan kesehatan, dan memperbaiki kualitas hidup. Mindfulness dalam bidang pendidikan diterapkan sebagai pendekatan dalam membantu siswa dan guru untuk meningkatkan konsentrasi, mengatur emosi, dan membangun kemampuan sosial, seperti empati dan kerjasama. Perancangan program mindfulness di sekolah dilakukan sesuai dengan usia dan kebutuhan siswa. Salah satu contohnya yaitu melalui teknik Pause Breathe Smile yang melibatkan latihan pernapasan untuk membantu siswa agar lebih sadar dan rileks. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan mindfulness mampu menurunkan stres, kecemasan, dan perilaku negatif, serta mampu meningkatkan fokus, stabilitas emosi, dan perilaku positif. Mindfulness pada bidang akademik terbukti mendukung peningkatan prestasi belajar dan ketrampilan sosial siswa. Penerapan mindfulness dalam kelas dapat membantu menciptakan suasana yang nyaman dan kondusif dalam belajar, sehingga siswa lebih siap secara mental dan fisik untuk menyerap pembelajaran. Selain itu, praktik ini dapat membantu siswa untuk mengenal diri mereka dengan lebih baik , mengelola emosi, dan menjalin hubungan yang sehat dengan teman, guru, dan lingkungan sekitar. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa mindfulness menjadi pendekatan yang relevan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan sekaligus membekali siswa dengan keterampilan hidup yang penting di era digital.

Abstract

Psychological resilience is an important factor in determining the mental well-being of migrant workers. Migrant workers are people who migrate or have migrated from one country to another who will be employed by anyone other than themselves. This study aims to determine the factors which influence the psychological resilience of migrant workers in Thailand, and how they adapt to challenges in the new environment. This study is a qualitative study. The subjects in the study were three migrant workers in Thailand. Data collection methods used were interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis used was data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that the factors influencing the psychological resilience of migrant workers in Thailand can be grouped into two, specifically internal factors and external factors. These internal factors are spirituality, self-efficacy, optimism, self-esteem, hope, and hardiness. External factors are social and family support. Meanwhile, the description of the adaptation of migrant workers in Thailand to the challenges in the new environment can be grouped into three strategies:  social adaptation, economic adaptation and cultural adaptation.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a formative assessment model that can improve academic integrity and honesty of elementary school students. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the following stages: preliminary study, product development, and limited trials. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, and analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results show that the developed formative assessment model is effective in increasing reflective awareness, academic responsibility, and honesty culture in the classroom. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of integrating character values in teachers' daily assessment practices.

Abstract

Praktik asesmen di sekolah dasar sering berfokus pada reproduksi pengetahuan sehingga kurang mendorong kemandirian dan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Asesmen berbasis inkuiri memberikan peluang bagi siswa untuk secara aktif membangun pengetahuan, bertanggung jawab atas proses belajarnya, serta mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas asesmen berbasis inkuiri dalam meningkatkan kemandirian dan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi-eksperimen dengan pretest–posttest control group. Subjek penelitian adalah 26 siswa kelas IV yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol (masing-masing 13 siswa). Kelompok eksperimen memperoleh asesmen berbasis inkuiri selama enam minggu, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menggunakan asesmen konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui rubrik kemandirian yang tervalidasi, tes berpikir kritis (10 butir soal), observasi kelas, serta wawancara siswa. Data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan N-gain, sedangkan data kualitatif dianalisis secara tematik sebagai triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kemandirian (N-gain = 0,65 vs. 0,28) dan berpikir kritis (N-gain = 0,58 vs. 0,31) pada kelompok eksperimen dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (p < 0,001). Observasi dan wawancara menguatkan temuan bahwa siswa menjadi lebih mandiri, percaya diri dalam pengambilan keputusan, serta menunjukkan penalaran yang lebih baik dalam pemecahan masalah. Penelitian dilakukan pada sampel kecil di satu sekolah sehingga generalisasi terbatas. Penelitian lanjutan perlu melibatkan sampel lebih besar dan meninjau keberlanjutan efek dalam jangka panjang. Asesmen berbasis inkuiri dapat diintegrasikan ke pembelajaran sekolah dasar untuk menumbuhkan kemandirian dan berpikir kritis, serta memberi guru strategi evaluasi formatif yang aplikatif. Penelitian ini memberikan bukti empiris mengenai peran pendekatan asesmen dalam membentuk kemandirian dan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar, sekaligus menegaskan asesmen sebagai sarana pembelajaran, bukan sekadar evaluasi.

Abstract

Family issues are at the heart of challenges like early marriage and sexual violence. Historically, these problems have been regarded as private matters, making them difficult to address. As the smallest unit of society, the family plays a vital role in tackling these issues. Nahdlatul Ulama, the largest mass organization in Indonesia, has pioneered an important approach by emphasizing the family as a key solution to these challenges. This article explains social innovation in preventing early marriage and sexual violence among young people with a study of the Gerakan Keluarga Maslahah Nahdlatul Ulama (GKMNU) movement. This research uses an qualitative approach with participatory observation and in-depth interviews taking locations in three regions, including Pekalongan Regency, Pekalongan City and Batang Regency. This research analyzes social movement theory and incorporates social innovation concepts. The results of this research show that the GKMNU has implemented several empowerment programs for the community including (1) Maṣlaḥah and Ma’rūf Relations, Good Parenting; (2) Healthy Family (3) Prosperous Family which contains messages of increased income, assets, resilience and (4) Educated Family. The GKMNU program runs using a cultural and structural approach in building a movement that has been proven to have a significant impact on society. The results of this research recommend that GKMNU become a movement that continues to be carried out by continuing to involve all elements and stakeholders of society and continuing to innovate.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of collaborative character-based assessment in cooperative learning for grade 2 students of SD Negeri 02 Sokosari. The background of this study is based on the tendency of traditional assessments that only emphasize cognitive aspects, so that the development of student character, especially the ability to collaborate, is less accommodated. The focus of the study is directed at how assessments that explicitly measure collaborative aspects can improve the effectiveness of cooperative learning and student understanding as a whole. This study uses a case study method with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Data were collected through participatory observation, interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of assessment documents. The research steps include designing assessment instruments, implementing cooperative learning, and evaluating the results of collaborative assessments. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of collaborative character-based assessments can increase student involvement in the learning process, strengthen cooperation skills, and provide a more complete picture of student development. The main conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of comprehensive assessments that not only measure cognitive aspects, but also character, in order to support effective cooperative learning. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penerapan asesmen berbasis karakter kolaboratif dalam pembelajaran kooperatif pada siswa kelas 2 SD Negeri 02 Sokosari. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh kecenderungan asesmen tradisional yang hanya menitikberatkan pada aspek kognitif, sehingga perkembangan karakter siswa, khususnya kemampuan berkolaborasi, kurang terakomodasi. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada bagaimana asesmen yang secara eksplisit mengukur aspek kolaborasi dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran kooperatif dan pemahaman siswa secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara dengan guru dan siswa, serta analisis dokumen asesmen. Langkah-langkah penelitian meliputi perancangan instrumen asesmen, pelaksanaan pembelajaran kooperatif, serta evaluasi hasil asesmen berbasis kolaborasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan asesmen berbasis karakter kolaboratif mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, memperkuat kemampuan kerja sama, dan memberikan gambaran yang lebih utuh mengenai perkembangan siswa. Simpulan utama penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya asesmen komprehensif yang tidak hanya mengukur aspek kognitif, tetapi juga karakter, guna mendukung pembelajaran kooperatif yang efektif.

Abstract

TThe present study aims to showcase the roles of the Nahdlatul Ulama’s (NU) Maslahah Family Movement (GKMNU) in achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs) from the viewpoint of maqasid al-sharia. Grounded in a qualitative research design, this study focuses on the Maslahah Family Movement in Pekalongan City and Batang Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. Data were garnered through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed employing Miles and Huberman’s interactive analysis. Study findings demonstrate that the GKMNU was a pioneering step in building an empowered, qualified, and harmonious family with the principles of maslahah (goodness). The GKMNU in Pekalongan City concentrated more on strengthening education, training, and family counseling, whereas the GKMNU in Batang Regency emphasized aspects of economic literacy. Neither of them did not address issues on welfare, health, and economic empowerment. The problem movement’s performance needs to be optimized regarding participation, management, and program quality even though the construction of maslahah families represents a tangible expression of maqasid al-sharia and as a way of expediting development goals. The theoretical implications of this study support the notion that the maslahah family plays a crucial role in ensuring the achievement of sustainable development goals. The study also provides practical insights into policy and program development that enhances families’ endeavors to participate as agents of change in the direction of the SDGs. This study advances the synergy of integrative Islamic studies, integrating family concerns, Islamic legal principles, and political development strategies in the context of implementing the SDGs through the maqasid al-sharia-based maslahah family program.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of Muslim student religiosity on local wisdom in Indonesia. This studyuses a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 1026 students. The sample is taken based on thepurposive sampling technique, which is only targeting Muslim students who practice moderate Islamic teachings.This study uses five dimensions of religiosity, namely spirituality (X1), ideological (X2), intellectual (X3),experiential (X4), and consequential (X5). To estimate the effect of these dimensions, this study applies multiplelinear regression models. The results reveal there is a positive relationship between students’ religiosity and localwisdom in Indonesia. Empirical evidence also indicates that there are only three dimensions of religiosity that havea positive and statistically significant effect on local wisdom, namely ideological, intellectual, and consequential.Then, the consequential dimension has the highest effect, where the regression coefficient is 1.54. Meanwhile, thedimensions of spirituality and experience are known to have a positive but insignificant effect. The implication isthat Muslim students who have an open attitude and are not rigid are very good social assets in preserving thevalues of local wisdom in Indonesia.
