Abstract

An inclusive school environment can be used as an effective place to cultivate student character. Character values such as caring, cooperation, respect for differences, and tolerance are important to be instilled in everyday life, including at school. This research aims to explore and find out related to the implementation of character education in SD N Bendan 01 Pekalongan. The type of research used is field research. The approach used in this study is qualitative.The subjects in this research arethe principal, homeroom teachers, and students. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, and documentation. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. The data analysis method used is the qualitative data analysis of the Miles and Hubermen analysis model which consists of data reduction, data presentation, verification, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of character education in inclusive education settings at SD Negeri Bendan 01 Pekalongan was carried out through regular class inclusive education model or full inclusion, character-based school environment arrangement, character integration in active and contextual learning, teacher exemplary, strengthening, and habituation.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the concept of developing affective assessment instruments in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SD Islam Nusantara, Pekalongan City. Using qualitative research with a literature study approach. Data collection uses documentation techniques, namely by analyzing information regarding the concept of developing affective assessment instruments in Islamic Religious Education subjects. Then the information is analyzed with data obtained from relevant literature sources such as books and journals. The data analysis technique goes through several stages, namely preliminary analysis, data reduction, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that developing an affective assessment instrument in Islamic Religious Education subjects goes through the following steps: determining instrument specifications, writing the instrument, determining the instrument scale, determining the scoring system, reviewing the instrument, assembling the instrument, conducting trials, analyzing the instrument, carrying out measurements, interpret measurement results.

Abstract

This research examines the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning assessment paradigm in the Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP) and the Merdeka Curriculum at the Junior High School (SMP) level. The main purpose of this assessment is to measure the achievement of learning objectives, assess the effectiveness of teaching, and evaluate the suitability between the learning approach and the curriculum used. The move from the KTSP Curriculum to the Independent Curriculum often creates challenges, especially for schools that have not yet gone through the 2013 Curriculum (K-13). The KTSP curriculum uses traditional assessment methods such as written exams and formative tests, while the Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes a holistic approach that includes cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This research identified three main aspects that were evaluated: achievement of learning objectives, teaching effectiveness, and suitability of learning approaches to the curriculum. The assessment instruments used include written tests, class observations, questionnaires, and student portfolios. The assessment stages include planning, implementation, data analysis, decision making, feedback, follow-up, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation. Through a comprehensive and continuous assessment approach, it is hoped that the quality of PAI learning in junior high schools can be improved in line with the demands of the times and students' needs.

Abstract

The study aims to transform the critical land governance based on the Islamic spirituality values which contained in the societies economic and environmental conservation values. This study used the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, it was taken by two stages, in each stage there were four procedures. The study involved the society at Dawuhan village, on Sirampong district, in Brebes regency, as teamwork to solve the critical land problem. The result of this study showed that coffee planting as transformation of critical land governance. It transformations based on the environmental conservation and the society’s economic values. After the transformation of critical land governance, the environmental conservation values showed that the critical land in Dawuhan village decreased, meanwhile the society’s economic values in Dawuhan village greatly increased. The critical land reduced, it shown by hard crops (pine, coffee, and etc.) planted in great numbers from 20% to 30%. The progress in economic values also shown by coffee yields, it increased from 1 ton to 5 tons. Alongs woith PAR method implemented in this study, the hard crops and the economy growth.

Abstract

Religious moderation becomes a catalyst for building a harmonious life in Indonesia. This research explores religious moderation from the perspective of religions in Indonesia, both theoretically and practically. This research uses a qualitative and comparative study approach to see the esoteric values in each religion related to religious moderation. Data collection techniques include interviews, focus group discussions, and documentation studies. The analysis focused on verifying data from religious figures and religious texts. The results of the study revealed that 1) religious moderation becomes urgent to internalize religious teachings substantively and to address the problem of violence in the name of religion, 2) religious moderation is in line with the universal values of all religions, 3) the term moderation or middle way is found in the scriptures of each religion, 4) interfaith dialogue as an effort to open up openness between religions and realize cross-religious cooperation.

Abstract

This research aims to discuss the effectiveness of the Indonesian Madrasah Competency Assessment (AKMI) in the Kambangan Batang Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Salafiyah Unit. In this research, the method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results of the research show that the effectiveness of the AKMI Policy in Madarasah Ibtidaiyah has been regulated in detail in the Standard Operating Procedures (POS) for the Implementation of the Indonesian Madrasah Competency Assessment (AKMI) in 2021 and 2022 which includes 17 (seventeen) points. The seventeen points are explained in detail from the introductory points to monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the implementation of AKMI. Next, evaluate the effectiveness of the Indonesian Madrasah Competency Assessment (AKMI) in measuring student achievement at MI Islamiyah Kambangan, namely all teachers so they can improve student competence by trying and finding new breakthroughs when learning. Madrasas still need improvement and other efforts to increase student competency. The level of assessment or competency status of students at AKMI and the aim of implementing AKMI is to measure madrasah students' competency in reading literacy, numeracy, science and socio-culture (Religious Moderation) as diagnostic data for follow-up actions to improve learning in madrasas.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the evaluation of the Discovery Learning learning model in improving student learning outcomes in the Al-Quran Hadith subject, in this research using the classroom action research method or PTK. Observations were carried out to determine the learning process using the Discovery Learning model, student learning motivation, and student learning outcomes. The research results show that the learning process with Discovery Learning includes asking questions, formulating hypotheses, designing and making observations, collecting data, analyzing data, and making conclusions. There were improvements in implementation from cycle 1 to cycle 2. Student motivation increased from the initial conditions to the first cycle and the second cycle. The percentage of students with low motivation decreased from 40% (initial condition) to 17.90% (cycle 1) and 0% (cycle 2). Motivation is decreasing from 50% (initial condition) to 42.90% (first cycle) and 13.58% (second cycle). High motivation increased from 10% (initial condition) to 39.20% (first cycle) and 86.31% (second cycle). Student learning outcomes also increased. The percentage of students who had not yet completed decreased from 50% (first cycle) to 8.33% (second cycle). Students who completed and exceeded the KKM increased from 50% (cycle 1) to 91.67% (cycle 2). The indicator of the success of this classroom action research is the percentage of students completing at least 80%, which has been achieved at 91.67%. So, this PTK was declared successful.

Abstract

This research has discussed the role of the government and private sector in the development of halal tourism in Indonesia and Hong Kong. The main issue raised is how these two sectors support and develop halal tourism through various strategies and initiatives. This study aims to identify the strategy implemented, challenges faced and outcomes of the two sectors’ efforts to promote halal tourism. This research uses a comparative case study method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through document analysis, stakeholder interviews, and field observations. The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) theory was used as a theoretical framework to evaluate the roles, responsibilities, and interactions between the public and private sectors in developing halal tourism. The results show that the governments in both regions play an essential role in promoting halal tourism through different policies and regulations. In Indonesia, halal certification is mandatory and regulated by the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH), while in Hong Kong, halal certification is voluntary and conducted by independent agencies. The private sector also contributes significantly by providing Muslim-friendly services and facilities, such as halal-certified food and worship facilities. This study found that collaboration between the government and the private sector is crucial for the successful development of halal tourism. The strict regulatory approach in Indonesia and the voluntary approach in Hong Kong show that policy flexibility can deliver different positive outcomes according to the local cultural and market context. Sustainable halal tourism development requires strong government and private sector collaboration. Continued contributions from both sectors can accelerate the growth of halal tourism in the future. This research also provides practical recommendations to enhance public-private partnerships in halal tourism through effective training, education, and international promotion.

Abstract

Dengan meniadakan Ujian Nasional (UN), pemerintah melalui Kementrian Agama memulai era baru dalam pendidikan dengan meluncurkan program yang disebut Asesmen Kompetensi Madrasah Indonesia (AKMI). Soal-soal Asesmen Kompetensi Madrasah Indonesia (AKMI) adalah HOTS yang bersifat kontekstual dan mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan berpikir kritis, serta kemampuan untuk menghasilkan daya analisis berdasarkan informasi—bukan hanya menghapal atau mengingat materi. Maka dari itu, untuk mengetahui lebih dalam terkait pelaksanaan AKMI dan tindak lanjut hasil Asesmen Kompetensi Madrasah Indonesia (AKMI), peneliti melakukan penelitian tentang pelaksanaan Asesmen Kompetensi Madrasah Indonesia (AKMI) dan tindak lanjut hasil diagnosis Asesmen Kompetensi Madrasah Indonesia (AKMI) di MI Islamiyah Kebondalem 01 Gringsing Batang. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah 1) Bagaimana pelaksanaan Asesmen Kompetensi Madrasah Indonesia (AKMI) di MI Islamiyah Kebondalem 01 Gringsing Batang? 2) Apa saja faktor penghambat dan pendukung pelaksanaan AKMI di MI Islamiyah Kebondalem 01 Gringsing Batang? 3) Bagaimana hasil diagnosis hasil AKMI dan tindak lanjut hasil AKMI di MI Islamiyah Kebondalem 01 Gringsing Batang? Metode penelitian yang penulis lakukan yaitu dengan menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan (action research). Dengan mengembangkan empat komponen pokok, yaitu: (a) Perencanaan atau planning, (b) Tindakan atau acting, (c) Pengamatan atau observing, (d) Refleksi atau reflection. Berdasarkan dokumen laporan hasil diagnosis siswa Asesmen Kompetensi Madrasah Indonesia (AKMI), madrasah sudah mencapai kategori cakap. Beberapa kegiatan tidak lanjut diterapkan untuk meningkatkan literasi siswa madrasah.

Abstract

This article analyses the responses of Basyūnī ‘Imrān (1885-1976), a muftī (jurisconsult) and qādhī (judge) with the title Mahārāja Imām (highest religious official) in the Sambas Sultanate, to the debates surrounding the determination of the beginning of Ramaḍān and Eid al-Fitr at the turn of the twentieth century. The differences arose from conflicting claims of accuracy between two methods, ḥisāb (astronomical calculations) and ruʾyah (physical sighting of the moon), in determining the start of the lunar month among Muslims. Concerned about these issues, Basyūnī ‘Imrān addressed them in his manuscript written in Arabic-Malay (known as Aksara Jawī), titled Ḥusn al-Jawāb ‘an Ithbāt al-Ahillah bi al-Ḥisāb (1933). By employing a historical approach and content analysis of the manuscript, the authors find that Basyūnī ‘Imrān favoured the ḥisāb method for determining the start of the lunar month. In addition to referencing Sūrah al-Raḥmān verse 5, Sūrah Yūnus verse 5, and a hadith narrated by Imām Mālik, Basyūnī ‘Imrān also considered the geographical and social conditions of Muslims to standardise the observance of fasting and Islamic festivals in the Sultanate of Sambas and its surroundings. He argued that differences in determining the start of the lunar month should not lead to divisions among Muslims, as both methods are grounded in the same theological principles. This finding contributes to the history of Islamic legal thought in Indonesia by providing evidence of scholarly efforts to standardise the determination of the lunar month during his tenure as Mahārāja Imām in the Sultanate of Sambas from 1913 to 1976. [Artikel ini menganalisis respons Basyūnī ‘Imrān (1885-1976), muftī dan qādhī yang bergelar Mahārāja Imām di Kesultanan Sambas, terhadap polemik perbedaan dalam penentuan awal puasa Ramadhan dan hari raya Idul Fitri pada awal abad kedua puluh. Perbedaan tersebut disebabkan saling klaim kebenaran metode, antara ḥisāb dan ruʾyah, dalam penentuan awal bulan Qomariyah di kalangan umat Islam. Prihatin terhadap peristiwa tersebut, Basyūnī ‘Imrān meresponsnya sebagaimana yang tertuang dalam manuskrip berbahasa Arab-Melayu (dikenal sebagai Aksara Jawī) yang berjudul, Ḥusn al-Jawāb ‘an Ithbāt al-Ahillah bi al-Ḥisāb (1933). Dengan menggunakan pendekatan sejarah dan analisis konten manuskrip, para penulis menemukan bahwa Basyūnī ‘Imrān cenderung menggunakan metode ḥisāb dalam penentuan awal bulan Qomariyah. Selain merujuk pada Sūrah al-Raḥmān ayat 5, Sūrah Yūnus ayat 5, dan sebuah hadis yang diriwayatkan oleh Imām Mālik, Basyūnī ‘Imrān juga mempertimbangkan kondisi geografis dan sosial umat Islam untuk menyeragamkan pelaksanaan ibadah puasa dan hari raya Islam di Kesultanan Sambas dan sekitarnya. Menurutnya, perbedaan dalam penentuan awal bulan tersebut tidak boleh menimbulkan perpecahan di antara umat Islam, karena kedua metode tersebut berlandaskan pada dasar teologi yang sama. Temuan ini berkontribusi terhadap sejarah pemikiran hukum Islam di Indonesia dengan memberikan bukti adanya pemikiran ulama yang berupaya menyeragamkan penentuan awal bulan Qomariyah yang diterapkannya ketika menjabat sebagai Mahārāja Imām di Kesultanan Sambas pada tahun 1913 sampai 1976.]
