Abstract

Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS) merupakan suatu pendekatan yang memberikan otonomi yang lebih signifikan bagi sekolah dalam pengelolaan dan pengaturan proses pendidikan. Pada kerangka MBS, sekolah diberikan wewenang dalam menentukan kebijakan program pembelajaran, alokasi sumber daya keuangan, dan kebijakan operasional, dengan tujuan utama untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dan relevansi pembelajaran. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis dinamika koordinasi, komunikasi, dan supervisi dalam Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS) di daerah pesisir. Penelitian ini mengadopsi pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, di mana pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam yang dilakukan dengan seorang kepala sekolah dan dua orang tenaga pendidik di SDN 018 Bagan Hulu, sebuah Sekolah Dasar yang berlokasi di daerah pesisir Kabupaten Rokan Hilir, serta analisis dokumen terkait. Data yang didapatkan tersebut, kemudian akan dianalisis melalui tahapan penyaringan, penyajian, dan perumusan kesimpulan. Sehingga, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem koordinasi, komunikasi, dan supervisi di Sekolah Dasar tersebut berfungsi secara efektif. Aspek ini mencakup tiga poin utama; pertama, koordinasi dilakukan secara periodik, meskipun terdapat beberapa tantangan dalam pelaksanaannya. Kedua, informasi penting disampaikan melalui mekanisme komunikasi yang terstruktur dengan baik, serta interaksi antara manajemen sekolah dan personel sekolah berjalan lancar. Ketiga, proses supervisi melibatkan pemberian umpan balik konstruktif yang signifikan dalam peningkatan kinerja. Singkatnya, implementasi sistem manajemen di SDN 018 Bagan Hulu ini menunjukkan efektivitas dalam mendukung kolaborasi, pencapaian tujuan pendidikan, dan penyesuaian dengan kondisi lingkungan yang ada.

Abstract

The professional ability that a teacher must have is being able to write articles, especially in terms of learning. Teachers still have difficulty in overcoming problems in the classroom. In addition, teachers also lack the knowledge, understanding, and skills in writing articles, especially learning articles. This makes teachers have less interest in writing scientific articles, especially aspects of learning. The purpose of this activity is not only to obtain credit points for promotion but also for accreditation purposes, but more importantly, to increase teacher professionalism. Scientific writings containing research results, assessment results, ideas, and other teacher's works have great potential as a means of communication for the world of education. The methods used are lectures, questions and answers, discussions, and guidance services. The results obtained indicate that the trainee teachers have additional knowledge and understanding of writing scientific articles on aspects of learning and skills in writing scientific articles on aspects of learning. Through this activity, teachers produce scientific articles on aspects of learning that are worthy of publication in scientific journals.

Abstract

The training on creating sustainable environmental education pocketbooks in Indragiri Hulu was motivated by the urgent need to raise environmental awareness and responsibility from an early age. The declining concern for environmental issues among the younger generation is a major concern, as many elementary school students are not yet accustomed to implementing environmentally friendly behaviors in their daily lives. The goal of this training was to improve teachers' skills and motivation in writing pocketbooks that incorporate sustainable environmental education values and enrich students' learning experiences. The training methods included material development, theories on environmental education and pocketbook production techniques, hands-on practice, and evaluation of the process and resulting product. The training results demonstrated an increase in teachers' motivation and skills in producing applicable and contextual environmental education pocketbooks. These pocketbooks are expected to be an effective learning medium for instilling environmental values in students and contributing to environmental conservation efforts. The success of this training has the potential to serve as a model for teacher competency development and environmental education programs in other elementary schools.

Abstract

This study addresses the low Japanese reading comprehension of students in the Japanese Language Education study program at FKIP, Universitas Riau. Interviews with students and lecturers revealed that the main obstacle was difficulty in understanding texts due to unfamiliar Japanese vocabulary. The research aimed to examine the effectiveness of comic media adapted from Riau Malay folklore to improve students’ reading comprehension in 2021. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design employing a pretest-posttest control group. The population consisted of 40 students enrolled in reading comprehension courses, with 20 students in the experimental class and 20 in the control class. The experimental class received three cycles of treatment using the comic media. Data were collected through reading comprehension tests, and analysis using an Independent Sample T-Test via SPSS version 25 yielded a significance value of 0.001, which is less than 0.05. This indicates that the Riau Malay folklore comic media effectively improved students’ Japanese reading comprehension.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out at Gugus 3 Public Elementary School, Pasir Penyu District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, with the aim of empowering elementary school teachers in designing sustainable environmental education projects based on local potential. Teachers in this area still face limitations in learning resources, understanding of environmental issues, and teaching media that are contextual to students' lives. This program is designed to increase teachers' capacity in developing and implementing environmental education pocketbooks as relevant thematic learning media and supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The implementation of this community service activity is carried out through four main stages: planning, implementation, training, and evaluation. Each stage is interconnected and makes a significant contribution to program achievements. The training combines theory, discussion, and direct practice so that teachers are able to integrate environmental issues into learning. Evaluation results show that the program received a very positive response from participants with an average satisfaction score of 91.08%. Teachers reported an increase in understanding of sustainability principles, skills in designing teaching media, confidence in developing pocketbooks, and motivation to involve students in environmental projects. Although there are still challenges in the form of limited resources, this activity has proven effective in strengthening the role of teachers as agents of change in forming an environmentally aware generation and encouraging the realization of sustainable development in the region.
