Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the ability to write personal letter of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study is to identify the level of personal writing skills of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru and to identify whether there is any difference in personal letter writing skills of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru. This research has population 110 and sample 86. The data of this research that is test result of student's answer in doing self writing skill test of class student of class VII SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru. The test used is a story essay test. The tests instruct students to write personal letters on the topics provided and take note of parts of personal letters, spelling and punctuation (capital letters, periods, commas, exclamation points and question marks). The data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive method through test to know the level of personal writing ability of kels VII students of SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru, one way ANOVA test to know the difference of personal writing skill of class VII students of SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru between sample group. the results of this study in the form of personal letter writing skills of students in grade VII SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru classified as low with average value.Keywords: Ability, Writing, Private Letter, Student

Abstract

Abstract : This research discusses about coordinating conjunction in political news Daily morning Riau Pos. This study aims to determine the type of coordinating conjunction and to describe the use of relationships of coordinated conjunction meaning in the political news of Riau Pos Daily Morning Post. Research is useful theoretically and practically. This research is a type of qualitative research and using descriptive method. The technique used in data collection in this research is documentation technique. The data that have been collected and then analyzed with several stages, namely reading activity repeatedly and carefully in the data, identify the data and describe the data, and concluded the research results. This research data comes from the discourse of political news in the newspaper Daily Morning Riau Pos. From the research that has been done, the researcher finds 240 data, that is 163 data conjunction and, 3 data conjunction let alone, 5 data conjunction and, 12 data conjunction other than, 3 data conjunction with, 3 data conjunction before, 3 data conjunction then 1 data conjunction data, but 1 conjunction data but 1 conjunction data but 1 conjunction data but 1 conjunction data instead of 3 conjunction data whereas, even 3 conjunction data, 10 data conjunctions only, 4 data conjunction is, 9 data conjunction so, 1 data conjunction therefore, and 1 data conjunction thus. So, the most data is the conjunction data and. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that there are (1) the coordination conjunction relation of the meanings of addition: and, moreover, and, besides, and with; (2) coordinated conjunctive relation meaning meaning: then and then; (3) the coordinating conjunction of the meaning of the election; or; (4) a coordinated conjunction of the meaning of resistance: but, however, but rather, even, and whereas; (5) the coordination conjunction relation of more meaning: even; (6) a coordinating conjunction of correlation means of meaning: only; (7) the coordinating conjunctive relation of the meaning of restriction: only; (8) the coordinating conjunction relation meaning meaning: is; and (9) the coordinating conjunction of the meaning of the inference: so, therefore, and thus. ABSTRACT: This study titled Collected Poems Rima At Gendang Pengembara By Leon Agusta. Issues examined in this study is the use of Rima What as pects of sound base dona collection of poems contained Gendang Pengembara Works and How Leon Agusta use of Rima based on the location of words in alin eof poetry Gendang Pengembara Works Leon Agusta. The purposeofthis study was todeterminethe use of Rima based a spects of sound contained in the work of poetry Leon Agusta Gendang Pengembara and How the use of Rima based onthe location of words in a line of poetry Gendang Pengembara Works Leon Agusta. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Data collection techniques used in this study is the documentation library. The data used in this study were 50 poems contained in the collection of poems Gendang Pengembara Works Leon Agusta. The results of this study teridendifikasi that: a.Rima based on those a spects of the sound consists of: (1) Initial Rima consists of 31 poems (2) Middle Rima consists of 15 poems(3) Rima End consists of 41 poems (4) Rima Perfectly composed of one poem (5) Rima imperfect consists from 3 poems (6) Rima uniform consists of 9 poems (7) consists of 4 sequential Rima poetry (8) Rima later poetry consists of  9 (9) Rima embrace consists of 3 poems. b. Abstract

Abstract:This research about Psychopragmatic Study of Yong Dolah Story. This research is motivated by folktale with a story style in a special Melayu community which is a humorous story or anecdotal story that is closely related to its readers, one of them is a high school/ majors/ equivalent student. The anecdotal story isYong Dolah Story. The purpose of this study is to get students 'understanding of the stories discussed by psychopragmatics or the readers' psychology of the stories. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using literature study techniques, questionnaires, and interviews as data reinforcement. Techniques of respondent data analysis were obtained from questionnaire data collection, then interviews to get a psychopragmatic picture of Yong Dolah story readers. The results of research on Yong Dolah's children from the seven aspects of Assessment, so they can accept the Yong Dolah story as an anecdotal text story used in learning Indonesian.KeyWords: Psychopragmatic, Anecdotal Story, Yong DolahStory

Abstract

Abstract: Basically, this study aims to describe the type and function of onomatopoeic comic Mahabharata. This study used a qualitative approach and descriptive method to describe the type and function of onomatopoeic comic Mahabharata. The results of the study and discussion of data acquisition: (1) In the comics Mahabharata, there are three types of onomatopoeic used in the comic. The types of onomatopoeic contained in the comics is a) onomatopoeic sound human, b) onomatopoeic sound of the animal, and c) other onomatopoeic sound. 2) function onomatope used in comics is a) expression functions b) exploration function.Keywords: onomatopoeia, comic, mahabharata

Abstract

Abstract : This research entitled the ability to listen to the text of the negotiation of class X students of SMK Negeri 1 Pendalian IV Koto. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability to listen to the text of the negotiation of class X students of SMK Negeri 1 Pendalian IV Koto, and to describe the different ability of listening text of the negotiation of the students of class X SMK Negeri 1 Pendalian IV Koto between groups of sample and per sex of the sample. The data of this research is the result of the test of the ability to listen to the text of the negotiation of class X students of SMK Negeri 1 Pendalian IV Koto which is divided into 3 classes namely class X TKJ-1, class X TKJ-2 and class X Accounting and consists of 76 members of the population with a sample of 64 students. Result of research after doing testing by using chi square test of one sample get result χ2 count equal to 68,2, whereas χ2 79,1. The hypothesis of chi square test of one sample is Ho accepted when χ2 count <χ2 table. This means Ho accepted, meaning the ability to listen to the text ngeosiasi students class X SMK Negeri 1 Pendalian IV Koto relatively low. In addition, the authors also tested using chi squares of two samples, to determine whether or not the ability to listen to the text of the negotiation of students of class X SMK Negeri 1 Pendalian IV Koto between groups of sample and per sex of the sample. The result, after the test using chi square test of two samples, that is obtained price χ2 count 7,791 and price χ2 table amounted to 79.10. Chi squared is accepted if hypothesis χ2 count <χ2 table. Test results show Ho accepted, meaning there is no difference to the ability to listen to the text of the negotiation of students of class X SMK Negeri 1 Pendalian IV Koto between groups of samples and per sex of the sample.Keywords: ability, listening, negotiation text

Abstract: This research is motivated by the aim of analyzing the social values contained in the novel Last Gift by Rahmalita. The method used in this research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques in this study are text analysis techniques. Data analysis techniques carried out in this study are grouping research data, describing research results, interpreting research results, based on these descriptions, it can be concluded that in this study found social values obtained from novels The Last Prize of Rahmalita's work consists of six categories, namely: social value, caring category, 21 values, social value, togetherness category, 5 values, social value, cooperation category, 1 value, social value, helping category, 8 values, social value, friendship category as much as 4 values and social values remind good things as much as 2 values.Key Words: Value, Social Value, Final Gift Novel

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of variables (1) the principal’sleadership on teacher performance, (2) work motivation of teachers on teacher performance,(3) the principal’s leadership and motivation of teachers working together on teacherperformance. Respondents are state elementary school teacher in District Bengkalis totaling87 people were obtained by simple random sampling technique. Data collected throughquestionnaire as a research instrument. Analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis, inferentialstatistical analysis and hypothesis testing. Instrument reliability coefficient is calculated usingCronbach alpha. In partial results showed the positive influence among the leadership of theprincipal on teacher performance of 0.332, and a positive influence between work motivationof teachers on teacher performance of 0.354. While simultaneously the influence of schoolleadership and motivation of teachers on teacher performance of 0.418.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the influence of (1) the leadership style towardsteacher organizational commitment, (2) to find out the influence interpersonal communicationtowards teacher organizational commitment, (3) to find out the influence of both the leadershipstyle and interpersonal communication towards teacher organizational commitment. The sampleof the research was elementary school teachers in gugus III UPTD education Rumbai Districttotalling 105 teachers by using proportional random sampling technique. The data were collectedby distributing a set of questionnaire and were analyzed by using descriptive analysis, inferentialstatistics. The instrument reliability coefficient was counted through alpha cronbach formula.The findings of the research showed that partially, there was a positive influence of leadershipstyle towards teacher organizational commitment of 0,607, and there was a positive influenceof interpersonal communication towards teacher organizational commitment of 0,730 and therewas a positive influence of both the leadership style and interpersonal communication towardsteacher organizational commitment of 0,730.

Abstract

This research's objective is to describe the principal's strategy for online learning and how the principal innovates to reach effectiveness in learning during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMP Indonesian Creative School (ICS) Pekanbaru. This qualitative research employs a case study design. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. The results showed that the principal of SMP ICS Pekanbaru carried out several strategies to improve effective learning during the pandemic. The strategies include setting the right curriculum, choosing online learning platforms, strengthening teacher capacity (capacity building), implementing routine monitoring, implementing learning evaluations, strengthening collaboration with parents, and strengthening student motivation. From the innovation aspect, the principal facilitates the existence of teaching stations and the Learning Management System (LMS) application in managing integrated, structured, and effective learning. Thus, we can conclude that the principal performed well in managing the school with all the limitations during the pandemic.
