Abstract

This study aims to analyze; 1) the effect of information literacy on teacher performance at SMP Negeri Kecamatan Kuantan Mudik Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi; 2) the effect of strengthening character education on teacher performance at SMP Negeri Kecamatan Kuantan Mudik Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi; 3) the effect of information literacy and strengthening character education on teacher performance at SMP Negeri Kecamatan Kuantan Mudik Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of ex post facto research. This study examines three variables to be studied to determine how much influence the independent and dependent variables have. The population in this study were 116 teachers and the sample in this study was 90 teachers SMP Negeri Kecamatan Kuantan Mudik Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study found that; 1) there is a significant and positive influence between information literacy variables on teacher performance at SMP Negeri Kecamatan Kuantan Mudik Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi; 2) there is a significant and positive effect between strengthening character education on teacher performance at SMP Negeri Kecamatan Kuantan Mudik Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi; and 3) obtained a significant effect between the variables of information literacy and strengthening character education on teacher performance at SMP Negeri Kecamatan Kuantan Mudik Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi.

Abstract

This research's objective is to describe the principal's strategy for online learning and how the principal innovates to reach effectiveness in learning during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMP Indonesian Creative School (ICS) Pekanbaru. This qualitative research employs a case study design. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. The results showed that the principal of SMP ICS Pekanbaru carried out several strategies to improve effective learning during the pandemic. The strategies include setting the right curriculum, choosing online learning platforms, strengthening teacher capacity (capacity building), implementing routine monitoring, implementing learning evaluations, strengthening collaboration with parents, and strengthening student motivation. From the innovation aspect, the principal facilitates the existence of teaching stations and the Learning Management System (LMS) application in managing integrated, structured, and effective learning. Thus, we can conclude that the principal performed well in managing the school with all the limitations during the pandemic.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the influence of the principal's leadership style and work motivation on the performance of elementary school teachers in Sentajo Raya District. The population in this study were all elementary school teachers in Sentajo Raya District, Kuantan Singing Regency, amounting to 313 people. Based on Isaac and Michael's table, the sample is 161 teachers. In this study, the sample was taken using a cluster proportional random sampling technique. data collection method used is the method of questionnaires (questionnaire) and documentation. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 23 software. The results show that the principal's leadership style affects the performance of elementary school teachers ,work motivation affects the performance of elementary school teachers, and leadership style and work motivation simultaneously affects the performance of elementary school teachers for the teacher and the school to improve the principal's leadership and work motivation so that teacher performance becomes even higher.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan perbedaan kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Picture and Picture dengan yang menggunakan model konvesional. Metode yang penulis gunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Desain penelitian yang penulis gunakan adalah between group design (desain antar kelompok), jenis true eksperimen (eksperimen murni) yaitu desain prettest-posttest only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII MTS YLPI Lubuk Bendahara. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah total sampling, yaitu kelas VII-A sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model Picture and Picture dan kelas VII-B sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t dua sampel (Independent Sample t-test). Hasil perhitungan uji Anova yaitu Fhit 106,335 > 4,28. Hasil pengujian tersebut menolak H0, dimana Fhit > Ftab. Pengaruh model Picture and Picture terhadap kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi sebesar 83,7% dan hubungan antara model pembelajaran Picture and Picture dengan kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi sebesar 0,992, artinya pengaruh model ini positif terhadap kemampuan menulis teks deskripsi siswa. Dimana setiap 1% nilai hasil menulis teks deskripsi setelah implementasi model pembelajaran Picture and Picture bertambah sebesar 0,992.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the learning process of writing skills of mathematical topic procedure texts using modeling techniques and test techniques through special teaching materials, learning outcomes of writing skills of mathematical topic procedure texts using modeling techniques and test techniques. The population of the study was students of grade 7 of MTs Negeri 1 Pekanbaru who took part in the learning process of writing skills of mathematical topic procedures using modeling techniques and test techniques through special teaching materials. They numbered 61 students divided into two parallel classes; 29 students of grade 7A and 32 students of grade 7B. The sample was determined as many as 53 students divided into 26 students of grade 7A and 27 students of grade 7B. Each sample member was drawn randomly. Research instruments: simple teaching materials containing models of mathematical topic procedure texts, lesson plans, observation guidelines, checklists, test devices for writing skills of mathematical topic procedures. Learning process data were analyzed using a thematic approach. Learning outcome data were analyzed using parametric inferential statistical procedures. Research results: the learning process involved 3 initial activities, 19 core activities, and 2 final activities. learning outcomes reached the target of 85.00.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to increase teachers' knowledge of differentiated learning, and the use of PowerPoint-based learning media integrated with ClassPoint. Method: Data was collected through initial and final tests to measure teachers' knowledge, feedback questionnaires to evaluate the training experience, and practice observations to assess the application of the material. The collected data were analyzed quantitatively by comparing test results and qualitatively through analysis of feedback and practice observations. Practical Application: Improve teachers' understanding of the concept of differentiated learning and the use of PowerPoint media integrated with ClassPoint, making learning more interactive. Conclusion: The participants were actively involved in the delivery of materials and practices and were satisfied with the training, from the delivery of materials to technical support. The average score of the participants' initial test was 85.00, which increased to 88.00 after the training, indicating an increase in understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the classroom management through problem-solving strategies in realizing quality learning. This research was conducted by quantitative approach. The main data of this study was 108 high school teachers. The technique used for data collection is questionnaire. The analysis technique used descriptive statistics, factor analysis, normality test, and inferential statistical test through t and anova tests. The results of the analysis show that classroom management efforts through problem solving are categorized as good by all aspects. Every aspect is valid with Alfa Cronbach's 0.766, thus, normal. The analysis of categorical factors is relevant in analyzing the classroom management through problem solving in realizing quality learning, which is above 0.7. In correlational analysis and one t-test of sample, all data are correlated and have significant role seen by the value of sig. 0.000 < 0.05. The Anova test through the linear path shows all the linearity as it impacting the problem solving in classroom management with value of F 0.000 < 0.05. Each aspect has its own characteristics on its implementation in learning. It shows that classroom management through problem solving can be a strategy in realizing quality learning.

Abstract

Program Jamuzir, yang berarti "Jangan Mubazir," adalah inisiatif yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan kesadaran siswa terhadap perilaku berbagi. Program ini bertujuan untuk mencegah pemborosan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, serta menekankan pentingnya efisiensi dan keberlanjutan dalam pemanfaatan barang-barang bekas yang masih layak digunakan. Konsep berbagi dalam program ini merujuk pada tindakan memberikan sebagian dari apa yang dimiliki kepada teman atau individu yang membutuhkan, tanpa mengharapkan imbalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penerapan program Jamuzir dalam menumbuhkan rasa empati di kalangan siswa. Metodologi penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan BAGJA (Buat Pertanyaan, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program Jamuzir meliputi berbagai kegiatan, seperti berbagi pakaian bekas, barang bekas, dan zakat dari orangtua. Program ini terbukti efektif dalam menumbuhkan rasa empati pada siswa, yang dibuktikan dengan banyaknya pakaian, barang, dan zakat yang diperoleh dari partisipasi orangtua. Penelitian ini menggunakan Melalui aktivitas berbagi ini, rasa empati siswa di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 110 Pekanbaru meningkat dan memberikan manfaat bagi mereka yang membutuhkan.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah merupakan peran yang sangat penting dalam mengelola sebuah institusi pendidikan. Seorang kepala sekolah bertanggung jawab dalam memimpin, mengarahkan, dan menginspirasi staf dan siswa untuk mencapai sebuah tujuan pendidikan. Kepala sekolah berperan dalam pengambilan keputusan, pengelolaan sumber daya, pengembangan kebijakan dan membangun hubungan baik dengan semua pihak terkait seperti guru, staf administrasi, siswa dan orang tua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam penerapan manajemen berbasis sekolah di SMK Dirgantara Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, subjek penelitian adalah Kepala sekolah dan dua (2) guru di SMK Dirgantara Pekanbaru. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam manajemen berbasis sekolah yaitu sebagai manajerial, supervisor, dan wirausahawan.
