Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of leadership and entrepreneurial characteristics on business performance, with interpersonal communication serving as a mediating variable among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Telukjambe Timur District, Karawang Regency. The study population comprised 147 MSME actors, from which a sample of 105 respondents was selected. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to analyze the relationships among the variables in the proposed research model. The findings reveal that leadership and entrepreneurial characteristics have positive and significant effects on interpersonal communication. Furthermore, both leadership and entrepreneurial characteristics positively influence business performance. Interpersonal communication also demonstrates a positive effect on business performance and plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between leadership, entrepreneurial characteristics, and business performance. These results highlight the importance of effective leadership, strong entrepreneurial traits, and interpersonal communication in enhancing MSME performance.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the effect of entrepreneurial leadership on SME performance, evaluate the mediating role of interpersonal communication, and assess the contribution of entrepreneurial characteristics in strengthening the relationship between leadership and performance. A quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design was employed, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to owners, managers, or leaders of engineering SMEs in Karawang Regency and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to examine both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The findings indicate that entrepreneurial leadership has a significant influence on entrepreneurial characteristics, which subsequently mediate the effect of leadership on SME performance, while interpersonal communication contributes positively to performance but is not proven to mediate the relationship between leadership and performance. Entrepreneurial characteristics are identified as the dominant factor in improving SME performance. Theoretically, this study reinforces the central role of entrepreneurial characteristics in the mechanism linking leadership and performance, while practically, the findings provide a foundation for the development of training programs, mentoring strategies, and capacity-building initiatives aimed at enhancing competitiveness, innovation, and business sustainability of SMEs in the engineering sector.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how leadership approaches and patterns of interpersonal communication influence employee job satisfaction at PT URC Indonesia, both separately and jointly. Primary data were gathered from 222 employees through structured questionnaires utilizing a seven-point Semantic Differential Scale (1 = Strongly Disagree to 7 = Strongly Agree). The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The measurement instruments met validity and reliability standards, indicated by item correlation values exceeding the critical r value and Cronbach’s Alpha coefficients above 0.80 for all variables. Partial testing (t-test) indicates that leadership style and interpersonal communication each have a positive and statistically significant effect on job satisfaction. Simultaneous testing (F-test) further confirms that both variables collectively exert a significant impact, as shown by an F-value of 122.488, exceeding the F-table value of 3.04, with a significance level of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.528 indicates that 52.8% of the variance in employee job satisfaction can be attributed to leadership style and interpersonal communication. These findings substantiate the argument that effective leadership conduct and constructive interpersonal communication constitute critical determinants of employee satisfaction within PT URC Indonesia. Accordingly, reinforcing leadership effectiveness and communication quality may serve as a strategic foundation for human resource management policies aimed at sustaining and enhancing employee job satisfaction, particularly within multinational corporate environments.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan pesat kafe di Yogyakarta mencerminkan transformasi gaya hidup urban, di mana kafe tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tempat konsumsi, tetapi juga sebagai ruang sosial dan pembelajaran multifungsi. Kondisi ini membuka peluang kolaborasi lintas sektor antara industri perhotelan dan layanan pendidikan nonformal, sebagaimana terlihat dalam kerja sama antara English Café dan Alive Fusion Dining di kawasan Timoho. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peluang bisnis, pola kolaborasi, serta formulasi strategi dalam kemitraan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi lapangan terhadap para pelaku yang terlibat dalam kolaborasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peluang bisnis muncul dari integrasi aktivitas English Café ke dalam ekosistem operasional kafe, yang berdampak pada peningkatan jumlah pengunjung, optimalisasi pemanfaatan fasilitas, serta peningkatan daya tarik usaha. Pola kolaborasi yang terbentuk bersifat simbiosis mutualisme, di mana English Café memperoleh akses lokasi strategis dan efisiensi biaya, sementara Alive Fusion Dining mendapatkan peningkatan arus pelanggan dan stabilitas aktivitas ekonomi. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, strategi diferensiasi, kepemimpinan biaya, dan fokus direkomendasikan untuk mendukung keberlanjutan kolaborasi jangka panjang yang saling menguntungkan.

Abstract

Integrated Hybrid Learning Development Research aims to develop Integrated Hybrid Learning, Active, Simple, and Collaborative, abbreviated as LMS Phytagoras, based on TERPADU (Telaah, Eksplorasi, Rumuskan, Presentasikan, Aplikasikan, Duniawi, dan Ukhrowi) as a means to strengthen numeracy skills with valid and effective criteria. The subjects of this study were third-semester students of Mathematics Education at Wiralodra University, specifically in the selected topics course of secondary mathematics education. The type of research utilized in this study is Research and Development (R&D). The design model used is the ADDIE type. The data collection instruments include validation sheets, tests, and questionnaires. During the validation process, LMS Phytagoras was validated by three expert validators with medium validity criteria. LMS Phytagoras was implemented by 7 students, resulting in medium effectiveness of learning as determined by pretest and posttest results using the n-gain test. LMS Phytagoras received positive responses from students in TERPADU-based learning.

Abstract

Teachers play a very important role in improving the quality of education, so teacher productivity is a major factor in achieving learning objectives in schools. Teacher productivity is influenced by various elements, one of which is competency development and performance evaluation. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the impact of competency development and performance evaluation on teacher productivity at SMPN 6 Karawang Barat. The method used in this study was quantitative verification based on data analyzed using statistics. The population and sample size in this study were 50 teachers selected using saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a closed questionnaire, and data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that competency development and performance evaluation have a significant positive impact on teacher productivity, both separately and together. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.853 shows that 85.3% of the change in teacher productivity can be explained by these two variables, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors outside the scope of the study.

Abstract

This study examines how the philosophies of idealism and realism are articulated and integrated into the practice of 21st-century visionary leadership at the secondary education level, using SMAIT Mentari Ilmu Karawang as a case study. The study adopts an interpretive qualitative approach with a phenomenological orientation to explore how educational leaders and teachers experience, interpret, and negotiate ideal values and managerial realities in everyday leadership practice. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and institutional document analysis, and analyzed thematically through a triangulated process. The findings indicate that leadership idealism is strongly reflected in the educational vision and the internalization of transcendental values, while leadership realism is manifested through managerial systems, performance evaluations, and decision-making processes. Integration between idealism and realism is not primarily embedded in formal policies but emerges through relational leadership practices, particularly through teachers' roles as agents of vision implementation. This study proposes a dialectical idealism–realism model that conceptualizes visionary leadership as a reflective and adaptive process, highlighting the managerial importance of balancing structural effectiveness with relational leadership to sustain the educational vision.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh work life balance dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja guru di SMPN 1 Tempuran gacor5000. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalalı metode penelitiaan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan verifikatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru SMPN 1 Tempuran yang berjumlah 48 orang, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh sehingga seluruh populasi dijadikan sebagai sampel. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Alat analisis data yang digunakan meliputi uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, analisis regresi linier berganda. uji parsial (uji t), dan uji simultan (uji F) dengan bantuan SPSS 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa work life balance berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 3,847 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000 0,05. Kepuasan kerja juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 2,963 dan nilai signifikansi 0,005
