Abstract

Bangka Belitung Islands is a province that has great potential in the development of the fisheries sector, especially the aquaculture of vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). One of the companies engaged in fishery at the stage of growing vaname shrimp is PT. Bangka Belitung Maritime Prosperity. In this regard, efforts must be made to develop the cultivation business. One of them is through partnership cooperation. The purpose of this thesis research is to describe the form of business partnership pattern between PT. Bangka Belitung Maritim Sejahtera with partners who join, examine the strengths and weaknesses in the implementation of the partnership and analyze the efforts made by PT. Bangka Belitung Maritim Prosperous in maintaining partnership relations. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach and data collection techniques using documentation, observation and interviews. Sampling through purposive sampling technique that begins with the general manager of PT. Bangka Belitung Maritim Sejahtera then turned to four other partners. The results showed that there are three types of partnership patterns that exist in PT. Bangka Belitung Maritim Sejahtera, namely the sub-contract partnership pattern, the general trade partnership pattern and the plasma core partnership pattern. This partnership pattern resulted from a partnership between PT. Bangka Belitung Maritim Sejahtera with five partnering companies/groups. The advantages of implementing a vaname shrimp enlargement business partnership at PT. Bangka Belitung Maritim Sejahtera is the provision of consultation and guidance on cultivation, providing input for production facilities, obtaining technical knowledge, guaranteeing market certainty, strengthening the company's brand image and opening opportunities to support the prospect of sustainable agribusiness partnerships in the fisheries sector. While the weaknesses in the implementation of this partnership are the buying and selling price determined by the partner company, the absence of a written contract agreement between the core company and the partner company, the delivery process of shrimp fry that is not good, and late payments made by partner companies. Efforts made by PT. Bangka Belitung Maritim Sejahtera in maintaining partnership relationships are conducting interactive communication with partner companies, building a good cooperation system, providing handling of problems that occur, holding the principle of mutual trust, supporting partner companies in business development, and updating information through group chat applications and the company website. .

Abstract

The existence of the COVID-19 pandemic has become a scourge for the community and several Indonesian sectors, including the fisheries sector. The rapid spread of COVID-19 prompted the government to issue regulations requiring people to carry out large-scale social restrictions. This policy causes community activities and aquaculture production to decrease, consumption of freshwater fish. This study aims to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the welfare level of freshwater fish cultivators in Toboali District, and examine the efforts made by freshwater fish cultivators in Toboali District to maintain their business during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a survey method conducted on several freshwater fish cultivators in Toboali District with the criteria that the cultivators have been cultivating freshwater fish for 2 years and only do the enlargement. The data were analyzed using a descriptive approach. Based on the results of research that the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on decreasing household income, increasing household spending, and decreasing the quality of education for household members. The declining income of farmers was due to the closed culinary business and the low selling price of fish. The household expenditure of fish cultivators consuming freshwater in a month during the COVID-19 pandemic increased because farmers had to pay bank loan installments. The declining quality of education occurs due to several factors from online learning and children who help work. Various efforts made by freshwater fish cultivators to maintain their business during the COVID-19 pandemic are family members coming to work, reducing the amount of production, reducing household expenses, looking for alternative jobs, utilizing social networks, using social media as a marketing medium, making bank loans. , and maintain fish quality.

Abstract

Squid (Loligo sp) is one of the most essential fishery commodities and ranks third after fish and shrimp in commercial fisheries. The freshness of the squid is a very important factor and is closely related to its economic value. One of the actors in the marine commodity storage business at Rebo Beach, Bangka Regency uses Cucumbers to maintain the quality of Squid. Until now there has been no scientific research that proves that Cucumber can be used as a preservative for Squid. For this reason, it is necessary to research to examine the effect of using cucumber at different concentrations and soaking times on the organoleptic assessment of squid quality. This research was conducted in February 2020. The handling process for the Squid was carried out at the Squid shelter in Baturusa, Merawang District, Bangka Regency. In contrast, the organoleptic tests were carried out at the Aquaculture Laboratory of the University of Bangka Belitung. The research was conducted by experimental method. The research variables were differences in the concentration of grated Cucumber and differences in the length of soaking Squid. This study used RAL (Completely Randomized Design) Factorial pattern with 2 factors and 3 replications. Treatment factor by giving grated Cucumber and control or using ice cubes at different times and doses. The soaking times in this study were 24 hours and 48 hours with grated cucumber measurements of 50, 100, and 150 grams per 5 liters of water. Data analysis in this study used the Kruskarwalis test. Squid treated with grated cucumber had the same brightness level as ice cubes after 24 hours of soaking. Giving grated Cucumber does not affect the taste and texture of Squid to the level of people's preferences. Giving grated Cucumber as much as 150 g with 24 hours of soaking time can be accepted by consumers and can compete with Squid which is given ice cube treatment.

Abstract

The trading system for aquaculture products is the process of distributing goods in the form of fish or derivative products from producers to final consumers effectively and efficiently. The objectives of this research are: 1) Analyzing aquaculture supply chain management in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province; and 2) Develop recommendations for the direction of development of the aquaculture trade system. This research method is a survey. The data sources in this research are primary and secondary data. The primary data collection method is qualitative, namely the researcher makes questionnaires, observations and interviews. Secondary data comes from production data from the Fisheries Service/BPS/pokdakan/regency/city companies in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. Respondents in this study were informants at the District/City Fisheries Service, Pokdakan, and the shrimp farming industry (micro/small/medium/large scale). Data analysis is descriptive. The research results show that the grouper aquaculture supply chain is more efficient than the shrimp aquaculture supply chain, because it involves more companies from outside the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The direction of development of the aquaculture trade system which refers to supply chain management has not yet implemented Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Regulation No. 5/Permen-KP/2014 concerning the National Fish Logistics System (SLIN). Understanding of the cold chain is still low. Then the problem at the collection and storage stage is the availability of facilities (cold storage) as well as the availability of basic infrastructure such as electricity, clean water and others, and the availability of facilities (unplug reefer).

Abstract

The eastern coastal communities of Bangka Island are vulnerable to ecological disasters. This is due to the destruction of mangrove forests in the area, one of which is the impact of tin mining activities. Mangroves play a role in mitigating the climate crisis. Therefore, efforts to rehabilitate damaged mangrove forests should be carried out massively. The problems currently faced by partners are: 1) Partners do not yet have the skills to rehabilitate mangrove multiplanting systems; and 2) Partners do not have knowledge regarding the multiplanting system. This activity aims to: 1) Help partners rehabilitate mangrove forests damaged by multiplanting systems with a high success rate; and 2) Restore the function of the mangrove forest ecosystem as a habitat for aquatic biota as a commodity caught by fishermen around the forest location. The outputs resulting from this activity are: 1) Increase in mangrove forest area using a multiplanting system; 2) Increasing community understanding and skills to conserve mangrove forests; and 3) Availability of mangrove nurseries. Implementation of PkM on the coast of Kekerjak Village and Batu Be Lubang Village. The activity method is participatory or involves the Kedetik and Batu Be Lubang Village Governments in the PkM stage which is focused on two activities, namely socialization and implementation of activities. As a result of the activities, the mangrove plants planted in the multiplanting system grew well. The planted plant seeds are protected with sacks filled with sand so they don't get washed away by the waves. Replacement is carried out for dead mangroves. Multiplanting system planting using more than one tree in one planting hole is expected to have better survival compared to one tree in one planting hole.
