Abstract

AbstrakMasalah penelitian ini adalah rendahnya pemahaman konsep pada mahasiswa Pendidikan ekonomi Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Kuningan. Tujuan Penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penerapan model menggunakan teka-teki silang untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian ada seluruh mahasiswa Pendidikan ekonomi Tahun Akademik 2022/2023. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument tes pemahaman konsep. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Tindakan. Data penelitian ini berbentuk kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pertama, data kualitatif dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil observasi, dan instrumen yang digunakan adalan pedoman observasi. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan hal ini dapat disebabkan oleh kurangnya sumber belajar yang dapat dipahami oleh mahasiswa. Dengan menyusun sendiri modul ajar akan sangat membantu mahasiswa untuk mendapatkan sumber belajar yang sesuai dan penggunaan media teka teki silang akan menjadikan modul tersebut lebih menarik bagi mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa melalui penggunaan modul dengan teka- teki silang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan, yang terdiri dari tiga siklus, dan setiap siklus dilakukan melalui proses perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep mahasiswa meningkat dari setiap siklusnya. Artinya, pemahaman konsep mahasiswa melalui penggunaan modul dengan teka teki silang. Kata kunci: literasi lingkungan; pemahaman konsep; teka teki silang; modul; media pembelajaran AbstractThe problem of this research is the low understanding of concepts in economic education students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Kuningan University. The purpose of the study was to describe the effect of applying a model using crossword puzzles to improve students' understanding of concepts. The research subjects were all economic education students in the 2022/2023 academic year. Data collection techniques using concept understanding test instruments. This research is an action research. This research data is qualitative and quantitative. First, qualitative data in this study were obtained from observations, and the instruments used were observation guidelines. Based on the observation, this can be caused by the lack of learning resources that can be understood by students. By compiling their own teaching modules will greatly help students to get appropriate learning resources and the use of crossword media will make the module more interesting for students. The purpose of the study was to improve students' concept understanding through the use of modules with crossword puzzles. This research is an action research, which consists of three cycles, and each cycle is carried out through the process of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed that students' concept understanding increased from each cycle. Abstract

The limitations of teaching materials in the new curriculum, namely the independent curriculum and technological advances. It has a good impact on education to support the achievement of 21st century skills. E-modules could be used as an alternative learning resource that was practical and contextual, because they could be used anywhere and the material presented was relevant to real life. The article aimed to produce e-module based on PBL valid, practical, and accounting cycles to determine the effectiveness of the e-module on students' critical thinking skills. The researchers used development research, adapting the ADDIE model (analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate). In testing the effectiveness of this e-module, there was a significant increase because the value of the learning effectiveness of students after being given treatment was higher than without being given treatment. The implication of this research showed that educators must implement PBL assisted by e-modules, especially in accounting subjects, to improve students' critical thinking. Students were able to formulate learning problems, analyze problems, students used clear language, and draw learning conclusions. It gave an implication provision for students to develop their critical thinking skills. An important implication for the future that could be made was by paying attention to designs that were more appropriate to student needs, integrating content that was relevant to real life, and providing adequate training to teachers, it can increase the effectiveness of the module in improving students' critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

 This study aims to develop students’ learning by employing ICT in a project-based learning (PBL) model to improve students’ critical thinking skills in economics subject. A Research and Development design was applied in this study by using exploratory and quasi-experimental methods with a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. This study involved students of XI IPS class at SMAN 1 Kadugede. The collected data from tests, observations, and focus group discussions were then analyzed using quantitative and qualitative methods. As a result, this study obtained a learning model and learning media in the form of syllabus, lesson plan, teaching materials, observation sheets, and tests for critical thinking skills that can be used in the economics subject at SMAN 1 Kadugede. Besides, this study also proved that the ICT assisted project-based learning (PBL) model is effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills as well as students’ enthusiasm for expressing their opinions, suggestions, and input on the topic being discussed.Keywords: ICT; critical thinking skill; project-based learning.

Abstract

Thinking creatively is crucial for students' academic and personal development. This study aims to analyze the impact of the Lesson Study-based Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on the creative thinking skills of seventh-grade students in social studies at SMP Negeri 2 Cimahi. The research was motivated by students' low creative thinking ability, as indicated by their reliance on textbooks and lack of initiative in independent problem-solving. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design, involving two groups: an experimental group that received Lesson Study-based PjBL and a control group taught using the lecture method. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests, classroom observations, and documentation. The data analysis used quantitative statistical techniques to compare the improvement in students' creative thinking abilities. The results revealed a significant difference between the two groups, with the experimental group showing a higher increase in creative thinking skills, particularly in fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. These findings suggest that the Lesson Study-based PJBL model is an effective instructional approach to foster student creativity. Future research should explore its long-term impact and potential application in other subjects and educational levels.

Abstract

The Workshop on the Application of Lesson Study to Develop a Culture of Reflection in the Implementation of the Independent Curriculum aims to introduce and promote the practice of Lesson Study as a tool to improve the quality of learning in schools implementing the Independent Curriculum. The Independent Curriculum was introduced as an effort to provide schools with the freedom to develop curricula that align with local needs and the characteristics of their students. Its urgency lies in the need to adapt effective and relevant teaching approaches to the current educational context. A culture of reflection is key to improving the quality of teaching practices. Through Lesson Study, educators can collaborate, plan, observe, and reflect on their teaching practices regularly. The goal of this workshop is to enhance educators' understanding and skills in applying Lesson Study as a systematic approach to teacher professional development and improving student learning outcomes. The workshop also aims to strengthen the culture of collaboration and reflection among educators so that they can effectively implement the Independent Curriculum while taking into account students' needs and contexts. The targeted outcomes of this workshop include improving teachers' skills in planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching process through Lesson Study. Thus, this workshop successfully provides teachers with a better understanding of the importance of applying Lesson Study to build a culture of reflection in teaching, particularly in the context of implementing the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance critical thinking skills using the Lesson research-based project-based learning (PjBL) model in improving the critical thinking skills of grade VII students in social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 4 Ciawigebang. The theory supports this research. According to Trianto, which states that "the purpose of this PjBL method has the following objectives: 1) to provide broad insight into students when facing problems directly; 2) developing critical thinking skills and expertise in dealing with problems that are received directly". The problem addressed in this research is the low critical thinking ability of students, characterized by their dependence on reading books and a lack of initiative in solving problems independently. The research method employed was a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. This research involved two groups of students: the experimental group, which received project-based learning (PjBL) based on Lesson research, and the control group, which used the lecture method. The analysis results showed a significant difference in critical thinking skills between the experimental and control groups. Thus, the research-based Lesson Project-based Learning (PjBL) learning model can be an effective alternative for developing students' critical thinking skills in secondary school.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran guided inquiry dan dengan model pembelajaran ekspositori. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperiment dengan desain faktorial 2x2. Subjek penelitian yaitu kelas XI IPS 2 dan XI IPS 3 SMA N 1 Cilimus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes pilihan ganda kompleks dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan two way Anova. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa antara kelas yang mendapatkan model guided inquiry dengan kelas yang mendapatkan model ekspositori. Hal ini terlihat dari nilai mean untuk kelas guided inquiry yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan mean siswa kelas kontrol. Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa antara yang memiliki tingkat motivasi tinggi dan rendah dimana kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang memiliki tingkat motivasi tinggi lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan siswa yang memiliki tingkat motivasi yang rendah. Terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan motivasi belajar. Hal ini mengandung arti bahwa pengaruh model terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis tergantung pula oleh tingkat motivasi belajar siswa. Dalam mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran guided inquiry sebaiknya guru harus mempertimbangkan aspek waktu yang akan digunakan agar pelaksanaan pembelajaran lebih efektif serta mampu memberikan tahap orientasi atau permasalahan awal dengan materi-materi yang lebih bersifat kontekstual.   Kata Kunci : guided inquiry; motivasi belajar; kemampuan berpikir kritis AbstractThis study aims to determine differences in students' critical thinking skills between the use of the guided inquiry learning model and the expository learning model. The method used is a quasi experiment with a 2x2 factorial design. The research subjects were class XI IPS 2 and XI IPS 3 SMA N 1 Cilimus. Data collection techniques used multiple choice tests and questionnaires. Meanwhile, data processing uses two way Anova. From the results of data analysis, it was concluded that there were differences in students' critical thinking skills between the class that received the guided inquiry model and the class that received the expository model. This can be seen from the mean value for the guided inquiry class which is greater than the mean for the control class students. There is a difference in students' critical thinking skills between those with high and low levels of motivation where the critical thinking skills of students who have high levels of motivation are more effective than students who have low levels of motivation. There is an interaction between the learning model and learning motivation. This implies that the effect of the model on critical thinking skills also depends on the level of student learning motivation. In implementing the guided inquiry learning model, the teacher should consider the aspect of time that will be used so that the implementation of learning is more effective and able to provide an orientation stage or initial problems with materials that are more contextual in nature. Keywords: guided inquiry; motivation to learn; critical thinking

Abstract

Latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian ini disebabkan oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Kurangnya penggunaan model pembelajaran yang bervaratif dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas, yang mengakibatkan mahasiswa bosan dan berdampak pada hasil pembelajaran yang tidak maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan dan perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa kelas eksperimen yang mendapatkan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis Lesson Study dengan mahasiswa kelas kontrol yang mendapatkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Quasi Eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest, Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 3 A sebagai kelas kontrol dan semester 3 B sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah mahasiswa 72 mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes berupa Pilihan Ganda Kompleks (PGK) berjumlah 30 soal. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan dan perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa kelas eskperimen yang mendapatkan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis Lesson Study dengan mahasiswa kelas kontrol yang mendapatkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Hasil penelitian bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa serta terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa antara mahasiswa kelas eksperimen yang mendapatkan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis Lesson Study dengan mahasiswa kelas kontrol yang mendapatkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL).
