Abstract

Companies have a tendency to compete with other companies engaged in similar business. Company in order to maintain its viability in order to survive in the competitive climate should have a strategy in creating products of excellence to attract consumers to switch to its products. In conducting its business, the Panin Bank’s product namely SMART Integration compete with others who have similar products. To face the competition so that product development strategy is needed to achieve corporate goals. The purpose of this study was to determine the company's strategic alternatives in developing SMART products Panin using SWOT analysis. This research is a descriptive study with qualitative data support. Data collection techniques gained through in-depth interviews as well as real data in the field of internal and external. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis, the resulting nine alternative strategy, namely (1) Carry out a good promotional activities so that potential customers know SMART Panin; (2) Maintain and improve the position of the national rankings in order to improve the bank's reputation in the eyes of the public; (3) Making changes more flexible system in particular in the field of revenue assurance; (4) Increase the number of KCU order to facilitate prospective customers when credit agreement; (5) Conduct an attractive promotions that keep customers willing to put their money in the bank; (6) provide an interesting variety of products as well as competitive rates; (7) Taking more policy refers to the ease of customers; (8) Improving and promoting attractive; (9) Continuously innovate as a form of readiness to compete with other banks.

Abstract

The phenomenon of many workshops that have sprung up in Semarang who demanded the owner or manager of a workshop to create a strategy in order to compete other workshops competitors. This research uses 100 respondents. The sampling technique of this research is accidental sampling and the sampled population representative are customers of Astra Daihatsu Workshop Majapahit Semarang. The analysis of the data used is the correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t test, and F test. Based on the results of analysis show that partially the price variable contributing influence on decision service usage by 29,2%, the variable quality of service contribute to the decision influences the use of services by 68,3%. Simultaneously the price and quality of service contribute to the decision of services usage by 68.6%. The conclusion of this study case indicate that the price and quality of service partially and simultaneously influence the decision to use authorized services in PT. Astra International Tbk - Daihatsu Workshop Majapahit. Based on these results, Astra Daihatsu Workshop Majapahit Semarang already have right pricing and should be able to maintain good service quality, and need to continued research by the company and other parties to determine the effect of other variables.

Abstract

Customer loyalty to the brand is a very important concept, especially on condition that the level of competition is very tight with low growth. In such conditions on brand loyalty is needed so that the company can survive. There are four variables that will be used as independent variables in this study, namely, the predictability of the brand, the brand competence, confidence in the company, and brand preferences.This study was conducted to determine the effect of predictability brand, brand competence, confidence in the company, and brand preferences on purchasing decisions and customer loyalty Mitsubishi truck. In this study using sampling techniques respondent random sampling, the number of respondents as many as 92 respondents. Analysis of the data used is path analysis.The results showed that the predictability of the brand, the brand competence, confidence in the company, and brand preferences partially and simultaneously has significant influence on purchasing decisions and loyalty. Based on path analysis, purchasing decision is a mediating variable on customer loyalty. Suggestions for the company is better able to improve the quality of Mitsubishi products, advantages and its uniqueness, able to educate their customers and increase the safety equipment in the truck.

Abstract

Welfare workers are influenced by several factors, such as good wages and role of trade unions.Workers so do the rallies to fight them welfare. This study aims to identify and explain the effect of wages and the role of trade unions on the welfare of workers. the effect of rallies on welfare. Object of this research PT Sai Apparel Industries which all workers are members of the National Labor Union. This type of research is explanatory research. The technique of collecting data using interviews, questionnaires and observation. The conclusion from this study is that wages and role of trade unions effect on workers welfare. Based on the conclusion that the company needs to increase the amount of compensation in the form of allowances. Unions need to enhance the role to be the center of information for workers. Besides, the government should review the minimum wage policy is based on the necessities of life for single workers.

Abstract

Companies which engaged in trade and services, customer  plays a very important role. As companies which strive to meet the needs and desires of its customers, the company's survival depends on the behavior of the consumers. Several factors will determine the insurance customer satisfaction including the appropriate price and the quality of service. Along with the increasing of public welfare so the consumption on other basic needs such as foods, clothes and houses have also increased. A need on insurance services increasingly perceived, not only for individuals but also for business in Indonesia. It is called as the tremendous progress in the services sector of the indonesia insurance industry  which has  very tight competition. The number of competitors in this business , makes insurance companies should be able to provide a particular advantage.the advantage can be accomplished if there are available informations of the consumer market. To face the competition, AJB Bumiputera 1912 KCE Semarang needs an innovation and improvement in terms of insurance premiums and service qualities. The problem of this study is the reduction in the amount of customers. The type of the research is explanatory research, with the samples are 90 respondents through purposive sampling technique. Analysis techniques used validity, reliability testing, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t test and F test with SPSS tools 16. The result of this study showed insurance premiums and quality services of AJB Bumiputera 1912 KCE Semarang can be quite good. Customer satisfaction was also increased. The amount of insurance premiums’ influence on customer satisfaction was 68.1%. The magnitude of the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction was 79.3%. Simultaneously, the influence of insurance premiums and service quality was 80.9%. it means, if the insurance premiums and quality service are better, it will make a result on the significant increase of the consumer  satisfaction.According to the data analysis it can be concluded that partially or simultaneously insurance premiums and service quality significantly make an effect on customer satisfaction and they have a tight and strong level of the relationship. For your suggestion,  Company needs to add the long term contracts as well as reduce the risk of benefits. if the risk of benefits are so much, the premium will be more expensive, but if it is less, the cost of insurance premiums can be lower and make the claims complaint handling standard system which to be a referral for the  agents when they get a claims complaint, in addition, company needs to conduct trainings for employees to enhance their skills, especially,  techniques in how to convey information well and hone verbal skills in conveying information.

Abstract

Human resource performance has an important role in production because its impact the company profitability. Physical working environment, stress and discipline should be an important notice from the company because its impact the employee performance. PT. Kimia Farma, Tbk. is one of Indonesia State Owned Enterprise, wich focused on pharmacy-supplied business, and the production growth in past three years showed decline.The aim of this research is to understand the impact of physical working environment, stress and discipline towards production employmee. The type of the research is explanatory research. Interview use questionnaire and literature are a collecting data as a tool and 88 respondents. The data will analyze with statistic descriptive, simple and linar regression, correlation, determination and significant test. Result and disscusion, In partial physical working environment, and discipline give a positive and significant impact with, the relation in both variables is medium. Stress has a negative and significant impact. Discipline has positive and significant impact. Insimultaniously, physical working environtemt (X1) and discipline (X3) give a positive and significant impact and stress (X2) give a negative and significant impact trought performance (Y), the relation within those independent variables (X1,X2,X3) trought dependent variables (Y) are strong.The conclusion and suggestion, there are a significant impact between of physical work environment stress and discipline through performance. The suggestion company should pay more attention in physical working environment such as sanitation, descrease noise, and settle illumination in a working area also manage working stress in company, strive for working discipline by making regulation, giving a stict penalty and socialize it.

Abstract

Investors have to make the right decision to invest. Investors can analyze the condition of the company by looking at its financial performance. This research was conducted to examine the effect of variable of Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Total Asset Turnover (TAT), Return on Assets (ROA), and Price Earning Ratio (PER) of the Stock Return, either partially or simultaneously at retail companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2010-2014.This research is an explanatory research with 22 companies as population and the number of sample that examined after passed the purposive sampling phase is 12 companies. The results of regression analysis shows that the variable of Total Asset Turnover (TAT), Return on Assets (ROA), and Price Earning Ratio (PER) partially give significant effect on stock returns, while the variable of Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER ) partially give no effect on stock returns. These five variables used in this study (CR, DER, TAT, ROA, and PER) simultaneously affect 58% to the stock return.Investors need to be cautious in making investments, the Current Ratio (CR) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) that are too high tends to pose a risk. Whereas the Total Asset Turnover (TAT), Return on Assets (ROA), and Price Earning Ratio (PER) may be used by investors as a parameter to measure the performance of the company to predict stock returns.

Abstract

Business activities are required to be alert to the global economy. The Fact as a motivation for people who engage in business activities, work and be able to create more advanced economies are better able to compete with other countries. Motivation is an important subject for managers because managers work through and with others. act as the driving motivation willingness and desire to work according to measurements and the desired limits. In addition to motivation, employee performance is also influenced by the work discipline. Where discipline is a person's awareness and willingness to comply with all company regulations and social norms in force. But in fact a high motivation to work without being followed with discipline can interfere with the performance of the employee in the employee productivity. This research intended to find out the effect of motivation and discipline on the performance of employees of PT. New Ratna Motor Semarang. This research used random sampling proporsionate techniques with 63 respondents.Analysis is conducted cross tabulation analysis, correlation, multiple regression, testing the coefficient of determination and tests of significance. From the regression analysis equation Y = 2.821 + + 0,142X2 0,339X1. Where the performance variable (Y), motivation (X1), and the Discipline of Work (X2). Hypothesis testing using a significance test showed that the two independent veriabel studied was shown to significantly affect the performance dependent variable.Respondents said about performance of employee it’s good and some employee having a mistake to finish the job and  they don’t have inisiatif to solve it. The company have a solution to complete the target and finishing a job in overtime. Motivation and discipline are high enough to have effect on the performance of employees of PT. New Ratna Motor Semarang. In addition to these two factors it is worth reviewing the company concerned and the factors or other variables related and significant effect on the performance of employees such as leadership, compensation, organizational culture, work environment, and work productivity. These factors are calculated can improve the performance of employees, so that the quality and quantity of work expected of employees in accordance with the company.

Abstract

One of the parameters that affect the performance of employees is the motivation and discipline of work, because it is instrumental in improving a work effectiveness. A company can not develop if the productivity of employees also increased in view of the increasing levels of competition in the business world. Motivation and discipline have an influence in increasing produktiitas employees. Because it is, motivation and discipline is an important concern by the company to improve productivity at PT. Kimia Farma Plant. Where the company is engaged in the manufacture of the pharmaceutical industry to produce oil and cosmetics.               This research uses explanatory research approach to 48 respondents with sampling techniques Probability Sampling. Sampling techniques (sampling techniques) that provide equal opportunity for each element of the population to be elected as members of the sample. Data collection techniques in this research using interview techniques, questionnaire and literature study. The data obtained were analyzed quantitatively by using analytical tools in the form of the cross table, validity, reliability, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing with T test and F test               The conclusion from this study is that there is influence between motivation and discipline to work productivity in PT. Kimia Farma Plant Semarang. Influence motivation towards productivity by 58.3%, the effect on the productivity of work disipin of 62.5%. Saran, the company needs to improve the productivity by increasing motivation through direct observation at regular intervals employees and improve discipline by improving the application and perform a closer scrutiny of the violations. But in this case the management should give consideration greater motivation, considering the influence of motivation on productivity is lower than disciplinary influence on productivity.

Abstract

This research aims to know the influence of  the outlet and product quality toward purchase decisions through brand trust of herbal medicine consumers of Nyonya Meneer in Semarang. This type of research is explanatory, to explain the causal relationship between the outlet and product quality toward purchase decisions. Population ini this research is Nyonya Meneer consumers who was 16 until 35 years and live in Semarang. The number of samples in this study amounted to 100 people.                                                         The sampling on this study is used purposive sampling’method. Data collection methods used is literature studies and questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed using a test of validity, reliability, simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. While hypothesis testing using t-test, F test and path analysis.                                                         The results showed that outlet and  product quality affects purchase decisions. Based on the path analysis, its show that direct effect of outlet toward purchase decisions is 0,122. Meanwhile, the impact of outlet toward purchase decisions through brand trust is 0,027192. Its show that the impact of outlet toward purchase decisions is higher though not  through the brand trust. In the other side, the  direct effect of  product quality toward purchase decisions is 0,126. Menawhile, the impact of product quality toward purchase decisions through brand trust is 0,032857.  Its show that the impact of product qulity toward purchase decisions is higher though not  through the brand trust.             Based on this analysis, the advice that can be given to improve the brand trust or purchase decisions is that the PT Nyonya Meneer and the outlets owner should be able to improve the outlet with improving the desain and facilities outlet. And then to maintain product quality by improve quality packaging and the addition of variants taste. And to be able to invite young consumers, Nyonya Meneer can also add activities involving young consumers.But, based on the path analyse showed that coefficient has small number, so its better to the company also give the attention to other factors that impact the purchase decisions.
