Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to describe the performance analysis of teachers who have been certified at the MI/SD level. The approach in this research is a qualitative approach. From several studies, it is stated that teachers who have passed certification become professional and have better performance than teachers who have not followed certification. However, there are still some certified teachers who are still lacking in improving their performance. The conclusion generated based on the discussion is that the competence and performance of teachers who are already good and professional on average are owned by certified teachers. There are still some teachers who have been certified but their performance has not been maximized but the number is only small. Thus, teacher certification has a positive impact on improving teacher competence and performance.   Keywords: Teacher Performance, Certification, Elementary Education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the significance level of the effect of using hand puppet media on the speaking skills of second-grade students at MI As-Syafi’iyah 10 Gunung Sindur. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was non-random purposive sampling, with two classes selected as samples, each consisting of 32 students. The data collection technique used in this study was an oral test instrument, designed using a non-equivalent control group design. The results showed that the average score of the experimental class was 45.31 in the pre-test and 67.81 in the post-test. Meanwhile, the control class scored an average of 44.84 in the pre-test and 46.56 in the post-test. The data were tested for normality and found to be normally distributed. The homogeneity test results showed a significance value of 0.308 > 0.05, indicating that the data are homogeneous or have the same variance. The findings revealed that the use of hand puppet media had a significant effect on students' speaking skills. The hypothesis testing using a Paired Sample T-Test showed a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the result is statistically significant. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) is accepted, meaning there is a significant difference in students’ speaking skills before and after being taught using hand puppet media.

Abstract

This article explores autoethnography as a form of spiritual epistemology in the study of Islam and gender. Drawing upon feminist hermeneutics and Indonesian Muslim women’s lived experiences, it argues that self-writing is not merely personal expression but a mode of knowing an intellectual and devotional act that integrates reason, emotion, and faith. Using a qualitative reflective framework, the author employs her own journey as a Muslim woman, mother, and doctoral scholar to examine how autoethnography can serve as both method and ibadah ilmiah. The discussion situates this approach within Islamic concepts of tafakkur (contemplation) and muhasabah (self-accounting), connecting them to the works of Amina Wadud, Etin Anwar, and Saba Mahmood. Findings reveal three epistemic dimensions of spiritual self-writing: (1) writing as worship and remembrance, (2) domestic space as an epistemic field of ethical formation, and (3) reflexive authorship as a feminist-spiritual act of reclaiming authority. By merging autoethnography with Islamic historiography, this study proposes an inclusive and embodied mode of scholarship — one that honors lived experience as a source of divine and intellectual illumination.

Abstract

This study aims to critically examine the forms of mispronunciation of Qur’anic letters from the aspects of makhārij al-ḥurūf (points of articulation) and ṣifāt al-ḥurūf (characteristics of the letters). It also explores in greater depth the factors that cause these problems to occur, as well as the solutions applied to minimize mistakes in Qur’an recitation. The method employed is a descriptive qualitative method based on a phonological approach with a focus on articulatory phonology. The data source of this study is the Qur’an recitations of participants in the tahsin Qur’an study circle (ḥalaqah) at Rumah Tartil Qur’an Maisuuro. The findings show that the majority of participants frequently make errors in pronouncing isti‘lā’ letters (emphatic letters), such as qāf (ق), ṣād (ص), and others. Occasionally, they also mispronounce light letters, such as ‘ain (ع), rā’ (ر), and so on. Other common phonological mistakes include lengthening or shortening sounds incorrectly, substituting letters or vowels, adding or omitting letters, and similar errors. These mispronunciations are influenced by factors related to the learners themselves, their parents, and their teachers. Therefore, all close stakeholders must be actively involved in the Qur’an learning process at RTQ Maisuuro in order to produce both quality and quantity in Qur’an recitation.
