Abstract

Salah satu menjadi perhatian pemerintah Kota Pekanbaru adalah mengenai pengelolaan sampah. Saat ini sampah hasil dari limbah rumah tangga dan non rumah tangga menimbulkan sekitar 400,462 ton per tahun. Sedangkan sampah yang tidak terkelola berjumlah 5,32 persen. Artinya timbulan sampah di Kota Pekanbaru cukup tinggi sehingga menimbulkan masalah pada persoalan pada kebersihan lingkungan, keindahan lingkungan serta menggganggu penciuman. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah selain mempraktekkan mata kuliah kretivitas dan inovasi dalam bentuk projek, juga memiliki misi untuk mencegah semakin banyak sampah yang mencemari lingkungan. Sehingga dengan adanya pemanfaatn limbah sampah plastik dan kertas menjadi industri kreatif menjadi motivasi bagi lainnya untuk tidak membuang botol plastik dan kertas begitu saja melainkan ada pertimbangan mau mengolah limbah sampah ini untuk hal hal yang bisa dimanfaatkan. Kemudian mengubah limbah plastik menjadi peluang ekonomi melalui industri kreatif adalah langkah yang positif dan inovatif. Dengan melakukan ini, mahasiswa dapat menciptakan nilai tambah ekonomi sambil juga berkontribusi pada penanganan masalah lingkungan. Adapun di dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini mahasiswa yang terlibat berjumlah 45 orang dan masing masing harus mampu menghasilkan produk minimal satu dan digabungkan dalam kelompok yang berjumlah 9 kelompok. Pada tahap pelaksanaan setiap pertemuan dalam kelas kelompok mempresentasikan progres kegiatannya. Hasil yang dicapai pada saat di akhir semester semua produk sudah selesai dan di pajang didalam kelas untuk di promosikan kepada sesama rekan sekelas bahkan kepada pegawai yang ada di sekitar kampus. Di sini dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa Prodi Administrasi Bisnis dapat berperan dalam mengidentifikasi peluang bisnis yang berhubungan dengan limbah plastik, seperti daur ulang, produksi barang-barang kreatif dari limbah plastik, atau pengembangan teknologi pengolahan limbah plastik yang lebih efisien dan ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Karimunjawa is a tourism area which is famous for its lowland tropical rain forests, mangrove forests, coastal forest ecosystems, sea grass ecosystems, coral reefs with the specifications of coral reefs reaching 7,487.55 hectares, and the types of mangroves in Karimunjawa are mostly classified as true mangroves. which attracts many people from abroad. This fact shows that the natural wealth and attractiveness of Karimunjawa is not inferior to the Indonesian region which is recognized by the international community. However, Karimunjawa has not been registered and recognized globally. For this reason, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of Jepara, Karimunjawa Islands was submitted to UNESCO to be included in UNESCO World Biosphere Reserves in 2017 through the Public Diplomacy strategy with the aim that the Karimunjawa Islands get international protection. The author uses a qualitative method with a case study research approach. Primary data is based on data collection from official government agencies involved including the Jepara tourism office and the Ministry of Environment. The primary data will be supported by secondary data derived from data from UNESCO, literature, journals or trusted websites related to the government's efforts to make Karimunjawa a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve through public diplomacy. This study uses the Mark Leonard's Diplomacy theory at the level of analysis of the Nation-State. Through public diplomatic strategies news management, strategic communication, and the relationship building karimmunjava are selected because of the unique ecosystem between islands, lowlands, and mountains that make up part of the 714 UNESCO's largest UNESCO version of the world's biosphere reserve in 129 countries. Abstract

This study discusses the role of UNAIDS in suppressing the spread of HIV and AIDS in Thailand. HIV and AIDS are viruses that threaten the immune system and can cause death. HIV and AIDS has been declared a global epidemic by WHO. Thailand is one of the countries in Southeast Asia with the highest HIV prevalence rate in Southeast Asia. The HIV epidemic in Thailand has ended, but HIV prevalence in key groups is still very high. This is what makes UNAIDS help Thailand with the programs it has made through the PCB (Program Coordinating Board). This study uses a qualitative method, with data collection techniques through library research which originates from a number of literature related to the problem under study. This research uses the perspective of Pluralism and International Organization theory. The results of this paper found that UNAIDS cooperated with several UN international organizations, the Thai government, Thai NGOs. UNAIDS became an instrument by helping Thailand achieve the 95-95-95 fast-track program and the Joint Program On AIDS With Key Populations. There are several efforts to suppress HIV in the Joint Program, namely providing PreP treatment to young people, upholding human rights and gender equality, and assisting with program funding. The role of UNAIDS as an Arena is to hold national and international meetings with stakeholders in Thailand and policy advocacy. The role of UNAIDS as an actor is by forming a Zero Discrimination campaign and collaborating with the Global Fund Keywords: HIV, AIDS, UNAIDS, Key Population, Thailand.

Abstract

This research discusses the efforts and actions taken by the European Union in solving the Irish Border problems after the UK left the European Union or Brexit. The Brexit Referendum left problems related to cross-border interaction between the Republic of Ireland which is a member of the European Union and Northern Ireland which is in the territory of the United Kingdom. The Irish border is the only land border that the United Kingdom has. Efforts made by the European Union as a supranational organization that oversees the European region are related to policy making and regulation establishment as a solution. This research is based on the theory of the Role of International Organizations. The level of analysis of this research focuses on the level of state analysis which lies in how the state plays a role in responding to and taking foreign policy. Data collection was carried out using the document analysis method which was reviewed through references from books, journals, websites, and other references relevant to this research study. The results of this research indicate that the European Union's efforts to resolve the issue of the Irish Border after the Brexit Referendum is by implementing the Protocol of Ireland / Northern Ireland which contains regulations and policies agreed upon by the United Kingdom with the European Union and the Republic of Ireland while maintaining the principles of the Good Friday Agreement or the Belfast Agreement. Efforts to implement the Protocol of Ireland / Northern Ireland as a solution to the Irish Border problem began with a Backstop Policy proposal which found no solution. In order to maintain regulatory changes from the implementation of the Protocol of Ireland / Northern Ireland, the European Union continues to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the protocol on the Irish Border. Abstract

This study analyzes how modernization in Japan occurred due to the influence of Japan's defeat when the Satsuma troops faced British in the Anglo – Satsuma War which was triggered by the death of a British Shanghainese merchant in Namamugi. Japan is aware of their country's differences in strength in terms of military and technology, to improve both of these things the Satsuma people continue a modernization project called the Shuseikan Project with the main founder of this project a daimyo from the 28th Satsuma clan, this project continued with a new mission after sent several students from Satsuma to study in England and bring new knowledge upon their return to Satsuma. This study uses a qualitative method, with data collection techniques through literature study sourced from several books, journals, articles, websites. This study uses the perspective of Liberalism and Modernization theory. The results of this paper show that Japan is the first country in Asia to have succeeded in imitating the industrial revolution by absorbing knowledge from the West and increasing military strength and new technologies thanks to the Shuseikan project in Satsuma. This success can be seen as a butterfly effect from the Namamugi incident which escalated into a major war between Japan and Britain so that Japan realized the difference in strength and the importance of modernizing. Abstract

This study analyzes the Dynamics of Medan-Gwangju City Cooperation within the Sister City Framework in the 2017-2021 period. The Medan City Government has carried out this collaboration since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 1997. International cooperation which generally involves a state has been transformed in terms of actors so that it involves sub-state actors as actors in international relations, this is included in the phenomenon of paradiplomacy as an effort advancing regional potential in accordance with the mandate of regional autonomy policy. In the long course of cooperation involving the two sub-state or regional government actors, of course there are dynamics in the relationship and problems that occur in the cooperative relationship. This research was using qualitatively descriptive using several methods in data collection, including interviews, observations, and literature studies from books, journals, websites, and documents related to this collaboration. This study uses the perspective of liberalism and paradiplomacy theory. The results of this paper show how in accordance with the theory of paradiplomacy, the Medan City Government seeks to maximize the potential of the area contained in the City of Medan. However, in an effort to maximize the potential of the area which is manifested in the form of cooperation within the sister city framework, there are dynamics that occur during a cooperative relationship as well as problems and potential for cooperation that have not been optimized and then this paper can be used as material for consideration of City Government policy making. Abstract

Indonesia as the host in the G20 High Level Conference in Bali places Indonesia in a position as a mediator in the formulation of the problem and the cooperation that will be built by all G20 members. Of the many existing issues, Indonesia brought Sustainable Energy Transition to be one of the priority issues that will be discussed during the presidency this time. Factors and driving force of Indonesia so as to make the issue a priority issue the main focus in this study. In order to obtain more specific accuracy to the results of this study, researchers use the theory of green politics as a basic reference for this research. Green Politics Theory itself has the goal of through cooperation that is dujalu by countries whose nods are expected to create a balanced environment and prosperity for all living things. The results of this study will explain the factors and efforts made by Indonesia in realizing energy transitions through cooperation in the G20 forum. Indonesia is also expected to integrate the interests of developing countries in general and the interests of countries in Southeast Asia specifically. The role of Indonesia in every G20 Summit is to always advance the interests of developing countries and uphold the creation of an inclusive and sustainable global economic system. Through the Transitions Working Group (ETWG) Indonesia encourages energy transitions for all G20 members, namely through energy accessibility, increasing net energy, and increasing energy financing. Abstract

This research is about the impact of Greenpeace's Detox My Fashion campaign on environmental pollution in China. In 2011, Greenpeace launched the Detox My Fashion campaign because two large factories in China, namely Youngor and Well Dyeing, dumped hazardous chemical waste into the Yangtze and Pearl rivers. This research uses Global Civil Society theory and the group level of analysis to examine the changes created by Greenpeace. Global Civil Society theory is a form of international communication which is interpreted as voluntary activities carried out by Greenpeace with the aim of forming policies, norms or social structures that can be distinguished commercially or politically. The results of this research show that the impact of the Detox My Fashion campaign in China is that fashion brands are able to reduce the use of dangerous chemicals in the clothing production process. The impact of fast fashion is so bad that China issued the Yangtze Rivers Protection Law to protect the Yangtze River from environmental pollution. Abstract

This research was conducted to see the steps and strategies used by Alfamart in order to expand its modern retail in the Philippines. Alfamart is one of the retailers with product providers and trading companies that is very developed in Indonesia in the retail industry. This paper is qualitative research that uses Complexity and Global Expansion Strategy (CGES) theory which will look at the entry modes used by Alfamart to enter the Philippine’s retail market. In this research, researchers used the Individual - Group level of analysis. The Individual – Group level of behavioral analysis focuses on individuals who carry out international actions in groups. Data collection uses document analysis methods sourced from several books, journal articles and other references relevant to Alfamart's entry and development strategy in the Philippines. The research results show that Alfamart can expand and enter the Philippine’s retail market by using various strategies, where the selection and use of the right strategy is the main reason for the rapid development of Alfamart retail in the Philippines. The focus is on the entry mode of joint ventures and optimizing the global market complexity strategy that Alfamart uses in expansion, market observation and is supported by Philippine’s government regulations regarding the entry and exit of foreign investors.
