Abstract

This research describes Indonesia's efforts to realize the Drug-Free ASEAN 2015. This agreement was made by ASEAN because of drug problems in the South East Asia region have reached the stage of harm. Indonesia as one of the ASEAN member countries is required to realize the agreement by taking some effort to combat drugs.The writer collect data from journals, books, reports, working papers and online media to see how the efforts of Indonesia to realize the Drug-Free ASEAN 2015. The theoretical framework applied in this research are pluralism perspective from Paul R. Viotti and Mark V. Kauppi and foreign policy theory from James N. Rosenau namely adaptive model. Adaptive model focus on how states respond the actions or developments in the international world based on the opportunities and responsibilities of national interest. This model focuses on the process of adaptation actions of a country as a response to changes in the external and internal environment.This research shows that Indonesia's efforts to realize the Drug-Free ASEAN 2015 is take some actions both internally and externally to combat drug problems. In the implementation of this effort, Indonesia also faces a number of challenges. Abstract

Cultural diplomacy is a category of Soft Diplomacy in the implementation of a country's foreign policy. Cultural diplomacy is a manifestation of the implementation of public diplomacy. One of the cultural diplomacy instruments used by Indonesia to United Kingdom in Cultural Festival. Diplomacy through festival is known as Cultural Diplomacy. Indonesian's Festival aims to win the hearts and minds of foreigners thereby increasing interaction and cooperation with other countries. Using the theory of diplomacy is the concept of soft power by Joseph Nye, Jr and perspective of Neorealism by Kenneth Waltz, this research obtained data through literature studies and direct research to the Indonesia Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The research shows that Indonesian's Cultural Diplomacy have been done through annual festivals serving Indonesian culinary, art,and fashion, participation of Indonesian government in annual culinary festival held by the United Kingdom. It was also found that the implementation of culure diplomacy impacts the level of increasing number of tourist from the United Kingdom to visit Indonesia. Abstract

This research describes about Indonesia's strategy in increasing  exports of swallow’s nest to Taiwan , which is experiencing an increasing demand due to the return of the principle to functional food. Bird’s nest is made from bird saliva which is considered very beneficial for helath. Swallow’s nest is usually used in making soup and also as an ingredient in medicene.most of the swallow’s nests produced by Indonesia are exported to other countries, one of which is Taiwan.Indonesia and Taiwan have signed many cooperation agreements, both in the economic and socio-cultural fields. One of the coorporation agreements was the signing of the MoU on Morotai Development Project as a follow-up to thw signing of the Letter Of Intent (LOI).The writer collects data from books, academic journals, official documents, theses and sources from the internet related to research issues regarding strategy in increasing exports of swallow’s nest to Taiwan. The writer uses the perspective of liberalism and the level of analysis of the nation state. While the theory used in this theory is the theory of international cooperation. This reserach finds that optimal efforts from the government together with Indonesian stakeholders are needed to be able to increase Indonesian  exports of swallow’s nest to Taiwan while bird’s nest export opportunities in Taiwan are still very wide open Keywords: Requets, Agreement, Increase, Export, Swallow’s nest

Abstract

Indonesia is the owner of the largest palm oil commodity in the world. This can be seen from the size of the plantation area and the export value of Indonesian palm oil which is increasing every year. Therefore, several countries entrust Indonesia as a producer of CPO as a derivative of palm oil.Cooperation in improving the economy is a national interest. This cooperation can be in the form of trade carried out by Indonesia to various countries. In this study, the authors collect data through literacy such as books, magazines, newspapers, journals, articles and web pages. This study uses a way of analyzing a reading to get an understanding that is in accordance with the research. The method used by the author in this study is a qualitative method. This method tends to analyze a problem by collecting data and information through books, newspapers, articles, journals, and other reading materials that can be used as sources of information.This research focuses on Indonesia's interest in exporting CPO to China in 2018-2020 which is an effort to stabilize and improve the Indonesian economy. This effort can be seen from the increase in CPO exports by improving the quality of palm oil and its processing in Indonesia, which will have a good effect on CPO exports to China. Besides being able to stabilize and improve the country's economy, this can also strengthen Indonesia's relations with China. Keywords: economy, palm oil, export

Abstract

The Paris Agreement is an agreement that focuses on enhancing the global response to climate change. Russia as one of the countries that ratified the agreement. This study aims to determine Russia's motivation in ratifying the Paris Agreement in 2019. This research implies qualitative method with explanative research type. In analyzing this phenomenon, this research implies the Foreign Policy Theory by Graham T. Allison in the perspective of Realism, state is the level analysis in this researched. To analyze this research, the authors collect documents and information from books, journals, websites and various official websites. Based on the analysis carried out, it is shows that Russia's policy motivation in ratifying the Paris Agreement is influenced by several things, in accordance with this research hypothesis that Russia's ratification of the Paris Agreement is to prove that the Russia is an essential actor in international politics, took action against the Paris agreement as an opportunity to improve its international image. Abstract

This study describes how the cooperation carried out by Indonesia and India in exporting pepper in 2017-2019. Indonesia cooperates with India in pepper exports, of which India is the main destination country for expanding the Indonesian pepper market. AIFTA (ASEAN-India Free Trade Agreement) which is a goods trade agreement, through AIFTA Indonesia and India are increasingly increasing cooperation covering goods, services and investment.The author collects data from books, academic journals, official documents, theses and sources from the internet related to research issues about. The author uses the perspective of liberalism and the level of analysis of the nation state. While the theory used in this theory is the theory of international cooperation.The results showed that pepper exports were carried out by Indonesia and India in 2017-2019, in this collaboration India provided an opportunity for Indonesia to expand the international pepper market because India has the potential for Indonesia to market its pepper.Keywords: Export, AIFTA, Cooperation, Pepper

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain the effect of Indonesia-Tiongkok hygiene, quarantine and inspection requirements protocol on Indonesian swallow nest export commodities. The protocol of requirements to give effect to Indonesian swiftlet nests has hampered the optimization of the export of swallow's nest commodities to Tiongkok. The method used in this research is qualitative. The perspective used by the researcher is the liberalism with the level of analysis of the nation-state. The theory in this research uses the theory of trade barriers. Technique collecting data is taken sourced from books, journals, newspapers, internet and other sources related to the effect of Indonesia-Tiongkok hygiene, quarantine and inspection requirements protocol on the exports of Indonesian swallow nests. The results shows that the effect of hygiene, quarantine and inspection requirements protocol resulted in the export of Indonesian swallow's nests experiencing barriers to optimizing exports, products sanitation, company certification, products quarantine and Tiongkok import quotas. The requirements that have been set must be met by exporters in order to enter the Tiongkok market, exporters who do not meet the requirements for swallow nest commodities will be carried out by Tiongkok. The government's role is expected to help make it easier for exporters of swallow's nests so that they can increase exports of swallow's nests to Tiongkok. Abstract

Child trafficking represents a problem that is quite difficult for developing countries to deal with. One of the is India. India became a transit country, a destination, and a country of origin for child trafficking country. Economic, social and cultural are the main factors leading to the still high incidence of child trafficking in the country. The Indian government which is the main actor in protecting children, has tried to handle child trafficking, but the Indian government needs help from other actors in dealing with the problem. Save the Children is present as an International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) concerned with children’s rights and seeking to fight for children’s rights in India and engage in child trafficking handling and assist the Indian government in handling the case.The study aims to find out how Save the Children plays in dealing with child trafficking in India.Then the theory used is the theory of Non-Governmental Organizations from David Lewis which explains the role of NGOs as implementers, catalysts and partners. With the above background, the author uses the concept of human security where every individual has the right to freedom and feel safe.The results of the research from this thesis are that Save the Children carries out its role in dealing with child trafficking through the role of prevention and rescue of victims. Abstract

This research would explain about the importance of Indonesia out of OPEC membership in 2016. The release of Indonesia from OPEC membership due to OPEC’s policy that regulate the quota of production of its member states about 5% of the total production of its member countries, the aim is to raise world oil prices. The OPEC’s policy is not in line with Indonesia's national interests. Indonesia is asked to reduce the production by 5% or about 37,000 barrels per day not in accordance with Indonesia's national interests. Because in terms of revenue of the State Budget Indonesia is still in a period of improvement.In discussing the problems of Indonesian political economy interest out of OPEC membership in 2016, the author uses an explanotary qualitative research methodology, the data collection technique by library research are derived from sources literary books, published magazine, journals, and scientific articles. The perspective used is mercantilism that see the state’s role in regulating its economy The theory used is the theory of International Political Economy, and the use of concept of national interest. Indonesia's decision to leave OPEC membership because production cuts of OPEC are not beneficial to Indonesia as Indonesia has become an importer country with production cuts which is determined by OPEC will certainly harm for Indonesia because the domestic demand of oil continues to rise and Indonesia will continue to import and can not increase the export. The release of Indonesia from OPEC membership has no significant effect on Indonesia's bilateral relations with other countries, especially OPEC oil producing countries, Indonesia in the near future will strengthen cooperation in the field of oil and gas with Iran and the relationship of Indonesia Saudi Arabia keep running until the moment this.Key Words: OPEC Policy, The National interest of Indonesia , Mercantilist Perspective

Abstract

Double taxation (P3B) or Tax Treaty is a feature in a country that plays a role in bridging the taxation interests of each country that makes an agreement. The existence of this P3B or Tax Treaty is to regulate the imposition of taxes that have international relations from the two countries that make the agreement so that there is no double taxation. This Tax Treaty plays an important role because the tax burden imposed by people or businesses who have relations with the two countries will affect investment and capital decisions between the two countries This study aims to examine Indonesia's Interests in Renewing the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (P3B) or Tax Treaty with Singapore in 2020. The author uses the perspective of liberalism and international cooperation theory in examining this issue. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive data processing. Data collection as a reference in this study was carried out using the library method, namely utilizing secondary data obtained from various literatures such as books, journals, annual reports of several related agencies, official documents, and so on. The results of this study found that the renewal of the P3B or Tax Treaty was to achieve Indonesia's interests, one of which was to attract many Singaporean investors to invest in Indonesia. The results of the amendments to the renegotiations carried out by Indonesia and Singapore are also updated in accordance with the international tax landscape and adapted to International Economic Developments.
