Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of coordination of movements in pencak silat athletes aged 13-16 years. The aim of this research is to produce a product and determine the effectiveness of coordination training through a coordination training model for Pencak Silat athletes aged 13-16 years. The research and development model is the ADDIE model. The subjects of this research were pencak silat athletes aged 13-16 years at the Terate Jaya Sasana Club and Batavia Silat Padepokan Pencak Silat Indonesia. This research was conducted from March to June 2024. The results of the research findings using the paired sample t test obtained a t count of 9.277 with a p-value of 0.000 <0.05, meaning that the coordination training model can be applied. Thus, it is concluded that there is a significant difference before and after receiving treatment through the coordination training model to improve coordination for pencak silat athletes aged 13-16 years.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of a circuit-based futsal learning model in improving passing and ball control skills among university students. The research employed a pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test design. The sample consisted of 30 students selected through purposive sampling. The instruments used were a futsal passing test and a ball control test, both validated by experts. The intervention was conducted over [ 16 /weeks], implementing circuit training focused on mastering passing techniques and ball control in game-like situations. Data analysis employed a paired sample t-test with a 0.05 significance level and effect size calculation (Cohen’s d). The results indicated an increase in the mean score from 36.57 in the pre-test to 44.93 in the post-test, with a p-value = 0.000 (<0.05) and Cohen’s d = 4.58 (very large effect). These findings demonstrate that the circuit-based learning model is highly effective in enhancing fundamental futsal skills, particularly passing and ball control, making it a strong recommendation for application in both academic settings and competitive training environments .

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of shooting skills in basketball games with the repetition method in basketball games for ages 12-14 years. This research was conducted from May-June 2023. The subjects in this study were 45 players aged 12-14 years. This research focuses on testing the effectiveness of developing a shooting technique training model with the repetition method, therefore the approach and method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental research design in the form of the one group pretest-posttest design. Data analysis used the inferential analysis was carried out using the T test, with a significance test (α) = 0.05. In the significant difference test with SPSS 16, the average value = 1.778 shows the difference from the results of the pre-test and post-test, df = 44, the results of t count = 11.212 > t table 1.680 (from n = 45) and p-value = 0.00 <0.05, which means there is a significant difference between before and after being treated with the basketball shooting training model with the repetition method. The conclusion is that the basketball shooting exercise model with the repetition method is effective and provides an increase in the shooting skills of children aged 12-14 years

Abstract

The psychological state of the athlete must be the main thing before the athlete participates in a match or championship. A strong mental condition will give you optimism and courage, while a weak mental condition will make you pessimistic and afraid. This study aims to analyze the anxiety factors of UNJ petanque athletes in facing competitions. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive analysis approach. Data collection in this research includes observation, interviews, and document analysis. The sample used was 18 petanque athletes. The research results of the athlete's anxiety variable have an average value of 48, the highest value is 67 and the lowest value is 26, standard deviation is 11.5, variance is 131.4, mode is 40, median is 48. The anxiety level of UNJ petanque athletes is quite high. The factors that cause anxiety among athletes also vary, such as fear of failure, fear of missing out on points, fear of stronger opponents and so on. Anxiety levels that cannot be controlled will make it difficult for athletes because it will have an impact on the athlete's body and mind so that it is not uncommon for athletes to experience many obstacles when competing.

Abstract

Swimming is a sport that makes speed as one of the benchmarks of assessment, especially short distance swimming. speed in swimming is the maximum speed that is cyclical or speed whose movements are repeated, the same form of speed as speed in running (sprint). This study aims to explore the effect of leg length, VO2 Max and core stability on 50m freestyle swimming speed. This study uses quantitative methods with a correlation research design (causality study). This study involved 30 people as samples who had been selected through purposive sampling technique. The results showed that (1) there is a direct effect of leg length on 50 m freestyle swimming speed (2) there is a direct effect of VO2 Max on 50 m freestyle swimming speed (3) there is a direct effect of Core Stability on 50 m freestyle swimming speed (4) there is a direct effect of Leg Length on Core Stability (5) there is a direct effect of VO2 Max on Core Stability (6) indirectly leg length has a significant effect on 50 m freestyle swimming speed through core stability (7) indirectly VO2 Max has a significant effect on 50 m freestyle swimming speed through core stability. Based on these seven findings, it can be concluded that the variables of leg length, VO2 Max and core stability have a mutual influence on 50m freestyle swimming speed.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of a modified game-based physical fitness learning model (MOFIT) for junior high school students through a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model. The study was implemented in three junior high schools in Ciputat District, namely SMP Waskito, SMP Anugerah Abadi, and SMPN 9 Kota Tangerang Selatan, involving 90 students selected through cluster random sampling. Data collection was conducted using adapted physical fitness test instruments (Harvard Step Test, Wall Squat Test, Press-ups Test, Sit and Reach Test) and student/teacher response questionnaires. The research findings showed significant improvements in all targeted physical fitness components: cardiovascular endurance (average decrease of 29.078 bpm, p < .001), muscle strength (average increase of 19.200 seconds, p < .001), muscle endurance (average increase of 7.622 repetitions, p < .001), and flexibility (average increase of 3.002 cm, p < .001). Student responses showed a very high level of acceptance (91.7% approval), with increased enthusiasm (96.7%) and enjoyment (95.6%). Teachers reported the model as adaptable to variations in school facilities. The MOFIT model proved effective in improving physical fitness while facilitating student engagement, offering a viable alternative to conventional methods in physical education.
