Abstract

Public places have the potential to become places for disease transmission and environmental pollution, for example, tourist spots. Muaro Jambi Temple is one of the cultural heritage complexes of the largest Hindu-Buddhist temple complex in Southeast Asia. It is also the most visited tourist spot in Muaro Jambi Regency. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of sanitation at the Muaro Jambi Temple tourist area. The method used in this research is qualitative research with an evaluation approach. There were 8 informants in this study who were taken by purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out by means of in-depth interviews, observation, and document review. Data analysis with content analysis method. The validity test of the research was carried out using the triangulation method. The results showed that the human resources of the Jambi Kecil health center had not met the standards, the cleaning staff or caretakers at the temple were sufficient in quantity but had not been assigned specifically to implement standardization of sanitation for tourist attractions. Funds for the implementation of the program from the Public health center come from BOK, while the tourism management has not prepared funds for implementing sanitation. The facilities and infrastructure of the Public health center are adequate, but the sanitation facilities in the temples are not up to standard. There is no policy that regulates STTU. Examination and assessment of sanitation in the temple had never been done before. When a sanitary inspection was carried out, it was found that the Muaro Jambi temple did not meet health requirements, namely 42.63%. It is hoped that the regional government will make regional regulations regarding the application of STTU and tourism managers will start implementing standardization of sanitation as a necessity. Public places can potentially become places for disease transmission and environmental pollution, for example, tourist spots. Muaro Jambi Temple is one of the cultural heritage complexes of the largest Hindu-Buddhist temple complex in Southeast Asia. It is also the most visited tourist spot in Muaro Jambi Regency.

Abstract

The problem of the increasing incidence of chronic diseases in Indonesia has encouraged the development of the Chronic Disease Management Program. However, in Jambi City, the implementation of various Prolanis initiatives has not been optimal, and community participation in the program is still low. The aim of this research is to describe the public's assessment of Prolanis using the theoretical framework of acceptability. This research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. 180 respondents were selected using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis uses computerized descriptive statistical analysis. The research results showed that only 50.6% of respondents received Prolanis. The variable with the highest frequency is cost (97.8%). Meanwhile, the variable with the lowest frequency is burden (51.7%). As a recommendation, it is suggested to the government and BPJS Health to increase public understanding of the importance of using Prolanis in an effort to reduce the number of chronic diseases in Jambi City

Abstract

Background: Evaluation of cross-sectoral control of refillable drinking water depot is a strategic role in protecting consumers to obtain standardized drinking water quality. Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the factors in the control and management of refillable drinking water depot in the working area of the Muaro Jambi District Health Center. Methods: The method used was a descriptive qualitative approach, which is to understand the phenomenon of the research subject holistically. Results: The results showed that the evaluation conducted by the health office was not optimal, most of the refillable drinking water depots in the Puskesmas working area had not been inspected. This is influenced by limited human resources in monitoring and evaluating each refillable drinking water depot, lack of socialization and education to refillable drinking water depot businesses and the community regarding the importance of consuming quality-assured drinking water, and especially the lack of awareness of refillable drinking water depot businesses to pro-actively meet drinking water quality standards. Conclusion: The lack of optimal cross-sectoral control of refillable drinking water depots is influenced by human resources and socialization and education programs, along with community awareness. It is expected that there will be more intensive integration between the health center, health office, and village officials who play a role in monitoring and evaluating the management of refillable drinking water depot.

Abstract

Public Health Centers with a high incidence of environment-based diseases showed that the percentage of sanitation clinic program implementation was lower compared to those with a low incidence of environment-based diseases. This study aimed to evaluate the outcomes of sanitation clinic activities at the Tanjung Pinang Public Health Center and the Paal V Public Health Center in Jambi City in 2024. This study employed a qualitative method conducted from May to June 2024. Data were obtained from 11 informants selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The sanitation personnel at both Public Health Centers had not received sanitation clinic training. There was no budget allocated for sanitation clinic activities at either health center. The facilities at Paal V were less complete than those at Tanjung Pinang. The method used at Tanjung Pinang followed the Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation No. 13 of 2015, while Paal V referred to the Ministry of Health guidelines from 2001. Both health centers had planning activities. Tanjung Pinang implemented counseling, environmental inspections, and environmental interventions, while Paal V only provided counseling. The output for counseling, environmental inspections, and environmental interventions was higher at Tanjung Pinang compared to Paal V. Tanjung Pinang is expected to remain consistent in implementing the sanitation clinic program. Paal V is encouraged to improve its counseling, environmental inspections, and environmental interventions.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Violence against healthcare workers in hospitals has become a global concern. This violence often occurs in service areas, both verbal and physical, and can impact the physical and mental health of healthcare workers. Nurdin Hamzah Regional Hospital, as a referral hospital in Tanjung Jabung Timur District, does not yet have an effective policy to address violence against healthcare workers. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the violence handling policy for healthcare workers at this hospital. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 10 informants, including the hospital director, specialist doctors, members of the violence handling committee, nurses, administrative staff, and security officers. Other data collection techniques include observation and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis with the assistance of NVivo software. The study found that although the violence handling policy has been implemented, there are gaps in communication between hospital units, especially in units with a lower frequency of violence incidents. Additionally, the reporting system for violence is still suboptimal due to psychological barriers from healthcare workers who are concerned about worsening relationships with patients’ families. However, the presence of the healthcare protection committee and a clear reporting system provides support for the implementation of the policy. The implementation of the violence handling policy for healthcare workers at Nurdin Hamzah Regional Hospital is underway, but improvements are needed in communication between units, the reporting system, and increased psychological support for victims. It is recommended that the hospital enhance training and policy socialization and improve the reporting system to better protect healthcare workers from violence. Keywords:  Policy, Violence Against Healthcare Workers, Hospital,  Reporting System.

Abstract

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of government websites as media for stunting information and reporting that support cross-sector coordination, data transparency, and the acceleration of stunting reduction programs. The study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of the SIBANGMAN Website as a stunting reporting information medium at the Regional Development Planning Agency of Jambi City based on the human, organization, technology, and fit aspects. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Informants were selected purposively and consisted of one key informant, three main informants, and six supporting informants from related regional agencies. Research instruments included interview guidelines, observation sheets, audio recorders, field notes, and documentation. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing supported by source triangulation. The findings showed that the SIBANGMAN Website was quite effective in supporting stunting reporting through an integrated system, good information quality, and strong organizational support, although challenges remained in digital literacy, automatic notification features, and system interface design. The study concludes that SIBANGMAN has fulfilled its informative and coordinating functions in stunting reporting, yet further technical development and user capacity strengthening are still required to optimize its sustainability and effectiveness.

Abstract

Acute respiratory infections including pneumonia remain a major cause of morbidity and mortality in children under five and case detection in primary care is often low despite the availability of guidelines; Putri Ayu Community Health Center recorded 53 cases of pneumonia in children under five in 2025 with a detection coverage of 26.49% of the target of 90%, so an implementation evaluation is needed. Objective: To evaluate the implementation of the ARI Control Program in the management of pneumonia in children under five using a logic model (input → activity → output). Method: Descriptive qualitative case study at Putri Ayu Community Health Center (Dec 2024–Apr 2026) with snowball sampling (n=9 informants: manager, clinician, pharmacist, emergency department, nutritionist, and caregiver); data collection through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document review; thematic analysis using NVivo 12 and the Miles-Huberman framework with triangulation. Results: Input was partially adequate but training was uneven and there was a shortage of nurses during peak periods; some drugs, injection preparations, forms, and ARI sound timers were unavailable or damaged; Funding is relatively sufficient but early year disbursement is hampered; SOPs exist but require cluster adjustments; program activities are inconsistent (dominant passive findings, uneven breath counts, variable antibiotic duration, pre-referral is not yet uniform, use of KIA Handbooks is lacking, monitoring does not comply with guidelines); output is low (26.49%). Conclusion: Implementation is partially in accordance with the 2018 FKTP guidelines but is not yet consistent; it is recommended to strengthen active surveillance and reporting networks, standardize clinical references, uniform training for supporting units, improve logistics and critical equipment, and improve communication and monitoring to improve case detection and management compliance
